Cringey to watch in the early going, it picks up speed once his fake (actress) girlfriend starts sleeping with multiple men while he is alone in a camper when they are separated by distance for her work. From there it is one awkward moment after another, where each is introduced to the others side piece and a subsequent threesome. The movie climaxes when the girlfriend appropriately dumps the douchey, unrealistic Ollie, causing the audience to cheer with glee at his comeuppance.
I cannot believe George Clooney would be a part of this movie. It was so unbelievable, and so contrived. Basic laws of nature were ignored such as when George falls thru the ice(he would die of hypo thermia) and when the astronaut's spacesuit integrity was breached(explosive decompression anyone?). And then the ending, George's companion was in his imagination or a hallucination, he speaks to his daughter one last time, so ridiculous.
This movie was disappointing, in that it is stress inducing, giving me a sick feeling in my stomach that just increased as the movie went on. Also, it is too long, could've cut the art film intro and exit would save 10 min. The main character hits on a huge bet that would give him some financial relief but gets murdered immediately thereafter when he lets the debt collectors in his shop out of their makeshift prison.
I think this is a movie for those with ADD and video gamers.
