Look. I like light hearted shows, but this is a cringe fest. Cheap CGI. Cheap 'cosplay'. Cheap set design. 'Eh' story filled with cliches and stereotypes. Half the jokes aren't even funny. Cyberpunk? More like Cybergunk. Some good action, that's it.
Director isn't familiar with combat action. Dumbed down, as if the main character's a super hero; everyone's waiting for him to come to the rescue. Landscape lends to beautiful sweeping shots. Great combat sounds. Flawed, though entertaining.
AAA Production. Damn good gun battles. B level Narrative. A bit too 'try hard', and never really reaches what it's trying to be.
A 'Gift' for the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Liberation Army. Somewhat exciting, after you get past the cheap CGI, pro-china muscle flexing, terrible music, and action that gets more ridiculous as time and budget run out lol.
CGI that makes the wondrous seem small, writing that cheapens a supposedly grand narrative, and acting as one dimensional and try-hard as Jihae's stare, it's astounding how recent Peter Jackson-touched films seem to Dazzle in Dissappointment.
