Speed Racer
Speed Racer (2008)

"An unsung masterpiece" This gem made it to my top 5 films of all time faster than the Mach-5 makes it to first place at the Grand Prix.
Certain critics complain of headaches due to the blazing onslaught of unrelenting action that the appropriately abundant race scenes in this film deliver.
"neglected to develop a coherent storyline"?.... NONSENSE. who ever said that was without a doubt disoriented after any of the race scenes.
Fan of speed racer or not, thrill-seekers of all kinds will appreciate the rollercoaster-like nature of this film.
The Wachowski bros. who brought you the masterpiece known as THE MATRIX unapologetically endulge fully in their hyper stylized vision for this film and the result of it is a revolutionary and explosive futuristic racing extravaganza.
"To hell with those snobby, crooked, foolish critics and their rotten opinions" said Wachowski (not verbatim).
"Speed Racer is going to leave all other racing films ever in the dust and remain in first place until it is time for a sequel". (also not verbatim)
Gloriously accomplished.
Speed Racer makes no compromises against its number one priority which is evidently to stage the greatest racing scenes ever.
However this film does have more to offer than just plenty of mind blowing race scenes.
Give a proper listen to the tender conversations exchanged by speed and his gentle family and you will find an inspiring tale about an ultra-talented underdog and his loving family versus an absurdly wealthy and corrupt corporate shark and his thousands of employees.
Beg Royalton to "say it isn't so" after proudly declaring that professional racing (and by extension professional sports in general) is a scripted puppet show designed to generate profit.
Speed Racer will have you cheering on the edge on your seat with your jaw on the floor.
It is truly a crime that this work of art does not get the praise that it deserves.
My highest recommendation.

Bridesmaids (2011)

Had some HILARIOUS SCENES. I replayed the engagement party speech few times. The dress fitting, the mansion party, the airplane, the drive with what's her face (wedding planner i think?) all of the jokes succeeded as far as i can remember. Highly memorable characters, and moments. I was thoroughly delighted by this film.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2

The Spell K-stew has me under does not permit me to skip this film and forces me to give a decent rating. The fight scene was half-decent. The purpose if this film is to give you an opportunity to stare at Kristen Stewart for extended time periods and it succeeds at that.

Brave (2012)

We saw tangled, we know you guys can make some really sweet computer generated hair. The archery competition scene was moving. Unfortunately Pixar's tricks are starting to get old. Just go all out on Finding Dory and The Incredibles 2 and we'll be cool again.
