Eric Alvarez's Movie Ratings - Rotten Tomatoes

Movie Ratings and Reviews

The Wolf of Wall Street

INSTANTLY ONE OF MY TOP 3 FILMS OF ALL TIME. Wow what an awesome movie. Brilliant directing, brilliant acting, brilliant screenplay, brilliant script......BRILLIANT EVERYTHING. Maybe i'm more biased towards liking this film because of my occupation, but I can't see how anyone could not like this movie. Leonardo DiCaprio's credibility and overall awesomeness happens to go higher and higher after every movie he releases....bring on the nominations for both him and this film!

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

Two and a half stars, which is an equivalent to 50%.....which equates to a FAILING grade. This movie was a complete let down. I wasted two hours of my life and I am 11 dollars poorer than I will ever be. Giving this movie a 74% (passing) when it was full of "anything goes" type moments is beyond me.

American Hustle

I just love clever films like this. All around brilliant from it being comedic to it being dramatic. Christian Bale definitely brought his A game for this one as well. Solid film throughout, loved it.

Donnie Brasco

I'm over a decade and a half late, but I finally watched Donnie Brasco. Went in not knowing a clue about who or what the movie was about, but afterwards I was left feeling stupid. Stupid because I didn't watch such a great mobster/suspense film sooner. It's pretty awesome to see Johnny Depp in a role where he is not playing a pirate or a man with scissors attached to his hands lol; if only he could get back to more of this real life acting. I enjoyed the movie and thought it flowed really well.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The franchise just got taken to the NEXT level! Here is an example where the sequel has outdone its predecessor. Long story short, this movie is a major win on all levels and it was really well done.....what's not to like?

Pan's Labyrinth

Finally got around to watching this in November 2013!! Late to the party I know. This film was very well rounded and pieced together. It's not often (or ever) that an adult/mature fairy tale film is made that garners such high scores and ratings. The thing I loved the most about this film though, was the emphasis on making "El Capitan" such an evil character. Antagonists will be antagonists in every film, but the role of Vidal was excellent.

Thor: The Dark World

Lower rating than the first? I thoroughly enjoyed the first, but in my opinion....this film beat it in every aspect. In the love, action, CGI, any was better. Seeing it in IMAX was also a plus, but either way it would rocked even in regular 2D. In my review for the first Thor, I wrote about not caring too much for the Thor franchise before actually viewing the movies, boy do I regret that decision. For me, it easily rivals, if not beats, the Ironman franchise. At the moment, I don't know if a third installment is in the works, but I sure hope they have another film in mind!

I was very hesitant to watch this film. I held off on watching it until two days before the release of the sequel, but i'm glad I finally watched it. It is a great movie with an awesome story, but those looking for boatloads of action, you won't find too much in this movie. That is the only thing I didn't like about this film....could've used some more action! None the less, it was an awesome lead up for The Avengers and for The Dark World.

The Hunger Games

It's about a week away from the release of the second Hunger Games, and until now I had not seen this movie, nor had I known what the series was about. I just heard "it was awesome, so watch it!" It's no wonder why this series is it hit in books, and was later turned into a movie. The script and storytelling is very original and unlike anything that's been done before. Is it a bit cliche? Yes, but in a good way. I don't like when films are too cliche, but in this movie..... it JUST fits and shouldn't be questioned. I loved the movie and can't wait for the second film next week.

Pacific Rim
Pacific Rim(2013)

As of writing this (November 2013), this is arguably the most visually pleasing movie I have ever seen. But just like the summary above notes, it does seem to have more style than substance. For as brilliant as it is visually, it is very cliche and at times predictable. All in all, it is an amazing film that is groundbreaking and is an instant classic in my opinion. I would have given anything to have gone back in time to have seen it in IMAX however. Bummer.

Don Jon
Don Jon(2013)

Genuine, hilarious, and raunchy..... didn't know a film could have all three. The movie had tons of good laughs and moments throughout, definitely a fresh type of movie that the comedy genre has been missing. Well done to you Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Captain Phillips

So this might be a bit embarrassing, but I didn't know this was a true story upon first watching the movie. I feel like I heard about the situation in 2009, but I didn't follow it too closely to know what had happened. Let me just say this.......the movie blew my mind without me knowing it happened in real life. After the movie when I read up on it and saw some pictures, the movie easily became 10 times better. Maybe I did myself some justice by not knowing what occurred so that I could be surprised by what happened in the movie. All in all, the movie was top notch. I particularly loved the way it was filmed; very real and in your face. Bravo.

Holyyyy smokes. Never have I seen something as visually awesome as Gravity. It would be impossible to fully describe how amazing this movie was as a whole. I saw the film the first day it came out (today) and my only regret was that I saw it in regular 2D. If you are reading this and you haven't seen it yet, don't make the same mistake and pay the extra couple of bucks to see it in 3D or IMAX. Before the movie is out of theaters i'd like to go back and watch it in IMAX so that I can truly max this movie out. All I have left to say is that it is really going to be a long time until we see another film with this type of cinematographic quality. Off to bed now.....current status = blown away.

If the word "engaging" had a movie associated to it, it would be Prisoners. There are few movies in which I literally approve of everything and this was one of them. The box office needed a film like this, too much time has gone by since I've seen a quality thriller/suspense movie like this one.....BRAVO!

The World's End

I was immediately captured from the beginning and stayed engaged throughout. I will forever love a movie that can do that from the get go. I had no idea the movie was going to turn into a sci-fi midway through the movie.... it was shocking at first but I loved it afterwards however. The World's End is a great movie that definitely doesn't disappoint and is funny throughout.

Killing Them Softly

With the arsenal of stars in this movie you would think it would be a homerun, well it's not. Something was off about it, I think it was the lack of substance; too much talk and not enough walk. It needed more action and grit in my opinion. So because of that, Killing Them Softly is an alright movie at best.

You're Next
You're Next(2013)

Great script, but HORRIBLE acting. I guess that's what you get when you bring on a truck load of no-names to fill your roles. Everything else was on point (the killing scenes, the suspense building, the sets, etc.), but the acting brings the movie down in rating just a tad.

Kick-Ass 2
Kick-Ass 2(2013)

I had high hopes for Kick-Ass 2, but I was let down. The movie wasn't awful by any means, but it lacked originality. It brought nothing new to the table, and if anything...only got more bland from the first movie. One thing that did get get better from the first were the fight scenes. Impressive to say the least!

Wasn't bad, but wasn't great. I felt that the movie could have been a bit longer in length, it almost seemed as if certain parts were rushed. The CGI was on point and even exceeded my expectations. All in all, it was okay.....and I enjoyed it.

Taken 2
Taken 2(2012)

The film is sloppy, lazy, and has horrible acting. I did not enjoy it nearly as much as the first one.

A Clockwork Orange

Classic, I know....but I was skeptical going into this especially after hearing how it was a great movie while being different and "weird" at the same time. I can see why it has a cult following and why it is widely considered one of the greatest films of all time. For me, the film was strange and disturbing at points, but overall the message and themes were amazing. Not a film that has shot up into my favorites, but definitely a film that I have alot of respect for now.

The Conjuring

I didn't like Insidious at all, and all this movie did was remind me of that movie in small doses (same director must be why). It definitely didn't live up to all the hype and high ratings on RT. Overall, it was an okay movie.......kinda feel like we've been there done that already. On to the next one.

Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain

Going into this film I said to myself, "I hope this isn't a flop, and I hope he doesn't begin to go downhill from here". Wow was I wrong. Let me put it this takes a lot for me to cry tears from laughter.....this stand-up did the job. One of the funniest things I have ever seen. Period.

World War Z
World War Z(2013)

By no means did I think it would be a bad movie going into the theaters, but I also didn't think it would be a great movie either. With that said, I was surprised by how good the movie turned out. Great action scenes (CGI), great suspense, and an overall great plot.

Man of Steel
Man of Steel(2013)

Going into watching the movie in the theatre, I saw reviews and comments saying things like "bad script", "could've been better"......blah blah etc etc. Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought the script and everything along with it, was perfectly fine. Lots of action, amazing CGI, and great casting. Zod was my favorite character, amazing casting there once again. Overall, I actually really enjoyed the movie; I'm also disappointed with the tomatometer.....this is a rare instance where we don't see eye to eye.

This Is the End

I LOVED IT! One word to describe the film would be "brilliant". When was the last time we have seen a comedy this good? Answer: a long time. I needed this especially after watching The Internship, and after all of the poorly made comedy films the past few years. The most unique thing about this movie is that all of the characters play THEMSELVES! When have you seen that before? Answer: We haven't. For that cool reason alone, and along with all of the punchlines and mayhem....This Is the End is a huge win!

The Internship

Hmphhh.... I am extremely let down. I, along with about everyone else, expected a Wedding Crashers like performance from these two. We got none of it, and except got a PG-13 rated child's comedy. However, even with all that just said, I enjoyed the movie more than I disliked it, so for that reason, it passes.

The Purge
The Purge(2013)

Very split on this movie, which usually doesn't happen that often. One of the most disappointing things to happen to movies, in my opinion, is when movies begin with truck loads of potential and then tank from there. The Purge is an example of that. For starters, the movie is and feels very short....rushed at many points. I could write an essay on how the movie could have been improved, but it would be a waste of time. All in all, great concept but poor execution.

Good thriller that keeps you guessing from the start. I still can't get over Robin Williams as a bad guy; the fact that he took on a villainous role as opposed to a comedy role made the movie that much better.

Fast & Furious 6

Good movie destroyed by too much cheese. That is how I can best sum up how I felt about Fast 6. Dom flying out of his car to catch Letty in mid air.......seriously? So unrealistic that the entire laughed afterwards. If you can get past the cheese, the movie is entertaining for the most part.

The Hangover Part III

I don't have that many great things to say about the movie. It moves very fast, and feels borderline rushed. It was better than the second, but nowhere near the first; only glimpses of its original character. All in all, not the best movie, it could have been improved in many areas.

Star Trek Into Darkness

Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!!! Where do I begin? Maybe by saying that J.J. Abrams is an absolute genius that not only knows how to make a great film, but how to successfully follow up a masterpiece (Star Trek 2009) as well. His plots that involve twists and turns that keep you constantly guessing are worth every dollar you will pay for a is no wonder Disney brought him on board to direct the upcoming Star Wars films. Even with the known fact that the first Star Trek was extremely good and cannot be touched, this sequel comes very close. He definitely delivered! I could go on and on about what I liked about this film and how we are seeing the development of one of the greatest franchises ever, but I would be here for hours and hours. 5 stars!

Iron Man 3
Iron Man 3(2013)

I enjoyed it and thought RDJ was great as expected, but Iron Man 3 was just more of the same ol' same. The CGI was on point, probably better work in that department than in the first two films, but other than that the film was cheesy to me at many points. If you have seen it, you probably know what I mean; moments like that bring down the film in my opinion and make them borderline childish. Hopefully this is the final film in the franchise because I don't see any future films going anywhere but down.

One word.....impactful. I was sort of skeptical on how well an amateur actor could play someone as large as Jackie Robinson, but Chadwick Boseman killed the role. Knowing a good amount of baseball history, I appreciated how on-point the detail was in the film. From Ebbets field, to the Polo grounds, to the uniforms....everything was visually pleasing. I really don't have a negative thing to say about 42, and I believe it should definitely have a higher score than its current 77%.

Evil Dead
Evil Dead(2013)

I don't really have a decisive stance on this one. The story can sometimes be dull, but when it does kick in with its awesome visuals, it suddenly becomes good again. It had a couple of funny moments as well which I liked as well. All in all, it was decent.

Silver Linings Playbook

If you were to look up the term "feel-good movie", this movie should be its main definition. It's thoroughly brilliant from beginning to end by staying on point with fantastic acting, comedy, drama, and engaging scenes. It's not often you get a movie that's very good as an all around film (comedy, drama, etc.)......but you have a winner here.

You can feel the effort put forth in this movie, but for me it just wasn't enough. It was creative at some points and simple at others; its back and forth fast pace didn't help out its cause either. The best thing about this movie was Jessica Chastain; she's quickly becoming one of the best actresses out there and certainly one of my favorites. All in all, it was an okay scary movie/thriller that I could have maybe lived without, but by no means was it a bad gets a passing grade.

Visually awesome, with some great shooting and action scenes! For people like myself who haven't seen the original can still pick up this movie with no problems. It reminded me of a blend of Robocop and and original movie.

Zero Dark Thirty

Wow, this movie is the real deal. My biggest question going into and during the movie was "how factual is all of the content"? I just felt that if they were going to make a movie about the manhunt for Osama Bin Laden they should know 100% of the facts. But because much of the information has been kept under wraps, I'm sure the producers had to guess on many things. The amount of how much they guessed on though.........WHO CARES, because fictional or legitimate this movie tells a great story which is insanely suspenseful. It began a bit slow (the only small negative), but picked up pace quickly and never looked back from there. The raid at the end (my favorite part) can only be summed up with the words "bad ass"! I would see this movie again and again, and I really recommend this to anyone reading this who hasn't seen it. The mere fact that it's nominated for best picture at the Golden Globes and Academy Awards already after just hitting theaters should say it all.

Loved the movie as a whole; the blend of Rodriguez and Tarantino go hand in hand with each other. It really doesn't seem like it's longer than 3 hours at goes by in a flash. The acting was good, both plots were original, and the killing/blood scenes were on point as usual with Tarantino. This movie is different from anything you've probably seen before, and it uses that freshness to its advantage.

Death Proof
Death Proof(2007)

Combined with Planet Terror, it makes for a cool film. I would have to say that I liked this one more (maybe my Tarantino bias) because the events in the movie could actually happen in real life. I guess i'm a sucker for realism.

Planet Terror (Grindhouse Presents: Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror)

VERY original, very cool, and very bloody. This and Death Proof make for a perfect pairing. PS.....a machine gun for a leg?! You know you have a winning movie!

Kill Bill: Volume 1

Revenge and style blended together and its best. Tarantino is my favorite director and this film (along with vol 2) is a huge reason why. Watch if you haven't and if you have.......well then watch again! It's that good.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

In reading all of the criticism for this film I found a commonality, and it is that this film is "unnecessary" and "stretched beyond its limits". I completely disagree and cannot see how any more of this franchise can be "too much". It was visually as good, if not better, than the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the direction and overall feeling of the film hasn't lost a step. I'm pretty disappointed to see mediocre ratings for this movie and believe it should be at LEAST an 85% film and not the 65% it is currently at.

As original as movies come, and whose style is still mimicked to this day.

101 Dalmatians

Classic in every aspect with a wonderful script and memorable characters, all equaling one of Disney's best animated films.

This is 40
This is 40(2012)

I felt as if this movie was one big giant wave that went up and down and up and down. It had its bright spots, but it also had many dry spots. With many ups and downs over a 135 min. movie I can see why many critics don't think highly of it. However, I liked it and it is a movie I would probably see again.

Jackie Brown
Jackie Brown(1997)

Definitely not Tarantino's best as far as the plot goes, but the strong cast will make you quickly forget about that. It is also a lot mellower than his other films, but still has some sex, money, and violence to keep you satisfied as always.

Django Unchained

This movie furthers my belief that Quentin Tarantino is a genius. I could write paragraphs about how much I loved this movie and all of its brilliance, but I'm just going to point out what I loved the most, and it has nothing to do with the actual movie, but rather the effect that it had on the packed theatre audience. I can't remember the last movie I saw where the audience portrayed nearly every type of emotion known to man: from being shocked, to laughing, or from being disgusted to applauding.....and these are to name a few. All of these feelings and emotions combined give you one hell of a movie! Perfection.

Gotta love any rags to riches story, and when it deals with gambling and counting cards it's even better. Overall, good fun movie.

Entertaining from beginning to end, never a dull moment, and very clever story telling. All in all, it's a great animation/cartoon and one of Pixar's best films!

Public Enemies

Nice to finally see Johnny Depp not in a weird/cooky role. The film had a lot of action and a great story even though it was pretty lengthy. The fact that it's based on real people and events makes it all the better.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Daniel Day-Lewis delivers in the performance of a lifetime as Abraham Lincoln. I thought this movie was flawless and well put together. The acting, the sets, the was all on point and it was brilliant. If Day-Lewis doesn't win the Academy Award for best actor, that would be the biggest travesty in history.

Didn't know much on the actual historical events going into watching this, but it looks like they portrayed it perfectly. There was never a dull moment and it kept entertained the whole way. I didn't rate it higher because (maybe I'm being too picky here) it didn't have enough action. I'm sure there were actual physical events that happened which they omitted.....I believe they should have added them.

It's packed with action from the opening seconds. Great script and great acting, Daniel Craig shows us again why he is such a badass. Even though it's really good, I still think Casino Royale is slightly better; but this is definitely a must see!

Freaky Friday

Haven't seen the original, but i'm more than certain this stacks up really well or is probably much better. It's funny and clever and all around fun.

Ughh, another horror/thriller that starts out with loads of promise in the first half of the film, then suddenly loses it all and fails to reclaim that initial promise.

Really on the fence about my liking of this film. The reason I'm in the middle is because it was good in the sense that it constantly had me feeling eerie (which horror films have been failing to do lately), but it was bad in the sense that the plot was sort of weak. Internally there is no connection or consistency with each character or VHS tape that's viewed. It's a descent movie at best, worth watching, but don't expect much from it.

Like most scary movies, their successes lie in the climatic way they are filmed. This movie has scene after scene that are very suspenseful and thrilling. Overall, I really liked it, and that says alot since I'm very picky with scary movies.

One of the few times I don't agree with the Tomatometer or the audience. I liked the movie and thought it was average at best, but definitely not something mid 90's worthy. I saw End of Watch before this and thought that movie deserved this type of score and this movie deserved the 85% that End of Watch is sitting on. I like the premise of the movie and although overall it was okay, I feel like the hammer didn't completely hit the nail on the head.

End of Watch
End of Watch(2012)

Immediately shot up into my all time favorites list. I really love movies that make you forget you are watching a movie, and this is one. From the opening seconds to the finishing seconds, the movie is full of action and drama. They could have easily made it 30 to 45 minutes longer and I wouldn't even be mad at it. Really really really great movie, must watch!

Ghostbusters (1984 Original)

If you were to watch this now you would probably laugh at the special effects, but I bet they were awesome back in 1984. To me it's a classic; an all around good and fun movie.

Cheesy, bad acting, and dialogue is way too scripted. Stay away.

Balls of Fury

One of those movies that makes you wonder why the hell anyone would make something like this. It wasn't funny at all, and I wasted an hour and a half of my life.

Man on Fire
Man on Fire(2004)

Cool movie where Denzel protects a litte girl at all costs.....what isn't awesome about that?

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

I've never seen the original so I can't make a comparison there, but I felt the movie stood alone on its own very well. Denzel was Denzel (great as always), even playing a more relaxed role as a control room operator. I thought John Travolta was very good and convincing, especially after not having seen him in films for a while. All in all, I thought the film was great and "at least" average; the scores on RT don't do it any justice....they should be higher.

American Gangster

Another great film starring Denzel. It has a good amount of violence (if that kind of thing matters to you), and a great story line. If you like movies such as Scarface and The Godfather, then this is a good movie to watch within that genre.

More like semi-funny. Good thing Will Ferrell made up for this flop with Step Brothers right after.

Shaq tried to follow in Michael Jordan's footsteps and make a cool kids movie. He failed.

Space Jam
Space Jam(1996)

Michael Jordan in the ultimate kids movie.....need I say more? Being a 7 year old kid when Space Jam came out. this movie was the coolest thing I had ever seen, and to this day I still feel the same way. Classic!

Dead Man's Shoes

The ultimate story of revenge. This movie is powerful and gripping in every way. It is saddening in many parts, and will make you think twice before you ever think of being mean to someone again.

The Campaign
The Campaign(2012)

The audience rating speaks for itself.....The Campaign is a failure. It was easily predictable and lacked conviction in the comedy department. This is probably the last Will Ferrell movie I will waste my money on, due to him losing the ability to be funny. Let's face it, the guy can't make funny movies anymore. PS.... I know it's not all Will's fault, Galifianakis needs to throw in the towel too.

The Dark Knight Rises

I could write for days about what I thought of the movie, but I just wanna say that I didn't think it was as bold as The Dark Knight, and I also really disapproved of the ending. It is "supposed" to be the last in the Batman series, so I thought it wasn't a good idea to show him alive at the end insinuating Nolan is going to make a 4th movie. If they were to do I guess, but I think they should stop here and should have had a stronger "going out" ending. Even though I disagreed with a the ending, the movie was awesome. I thought that Tom Hardy as Bane definitely brought out the best of this movie; everytime he came on the screen he had a huge presence and demanded attention. Other than that, the action scene's were great and never dull. Luckily I saw it in IMAX, if you did too then you really got to appreciate how good this movie was.

The Village
The Village(2004)

I remember being really excited for this film when the trailers were first released, and excited to finally watch it in theaters. Except when that time finally came, I was extremely let down particularly with the ending. It showed alot of promise in the beginning, but failed to capitalize on it.

The Others
The Others(2001)

Great mystery/suspense film that will keep you guessing throughout. What I liked about this film is that no special effects or graphic killing scenes are needed to demonstrate its message. It uses classic suspense techniques to drive the film and make it scary. I would strongly recommend watching this if you are looking for a great film in this genre.

True Lies
True Lies(1994)

From what I remember of this movie many years ago is that is falls short in the comedy department, but makes up for it in the action department. For its time, it is a good movie that will keep you entertained; although not Cameron's best, it is definitely worth watching.

Funny and quirky while dramatic and compelling. Great indie movie with good direction!

Yes categorized as "horror", but there really isn't much of any horror at all; it's a suspense/thriller at best. Aside from that, it definitely is a classic film that will get you sucked into the awesome story from the opening seconds. I really liked the acting in scenes with Carrie and her mother........literally "crazy" good.

Tropic Thunder

Was skeptical going into watching this because I'm not the biggest Stiller fan, but I was really surprised how clever and good this movie was. Could have done without Jack Black though; like usual, he brings nothing to the table (just my opinion). Downey Jr was hilarious and easily my favorite, mix that along with the Tom Cruise have a pretty funny movie here.

Shaun of the Dead

The scores on RT surprised me at first and I said to myself, "there's no way it could be that good". Well it is! It's funny, fast-moving, violent, and witty......and it just works well together.

Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Loved, loved, loved this movie! I had never even heard of it, nor had I seen any of it until a friend of mine put it on one day. The characters and clever plot definitely make this film as great as it is. It is like a snowball that gets bigger and better as it rolls on, and has immediately shot up into my top comedies of all time.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Overall, I felt this was just a huge unnecessary one. I've been getting really tired of the same ol cliche superhero movie scripts lately. I know kids, not just adults are watching these movies, but it would be really sweet if they had made this darker like the current Batman movies. It would make for a more realistic movie, and it would be less childish. Maybe I shouldn't be making comparisons, but all these Marvel superhero movies are starting to look the same.......let's change it up a bit, that's all i'm saying.

Overall I liked it, but it was sort of a letdown for me. It's basically a live version of Family Guy.......which can be funny at first, but then gets very boring and predictable after a while with all of the flashbacks and culture references.

The acting and script may not be up to par, but I thought the movie was decent. It definitely stirred up a great "what if & what would you do?" conversation afterwards with my friends.

JGL is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors, and even more so after watching 50/50. He plays the part of a cancer patient down to a tee, and added with Seth Rogan's comedy the movie can go from sad to funny in a split second.......and it all just WORKS!

"I don't know who you are, I don't know what you want, but if you don't let my daughter go, I will find you and I WILL KILL YOU"......One of the coolest quotes in any movie, and definitely one of my favorites. The film definitely has a lot of action, great suspense, and an overall great storyline. The ratings here on RT do not do this film ANY justice; I thought it was a great mystery/suspense film that I would recommend to anyone.

Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy

I can understand why so many people love Anchorman (with Will Ferrell being a huge reason), but overall I thought the film was really plain and simple. It's not too long or too short and some of the jokes are hit and miss, but I liked it overall. You just can't help but laugh at the humor in this movie.

The Birds
The Birds(1963)

The effects and acting certainly aren't what make the film great, it is the mystery and suspense that do it . As to why the birds attack, we will never know because Hitchcock wanted the audience to be able to make their own conclusion. It will leave you in a guessing game following the film, wondering what happens next and why it happened. It is that judgement and curiosity that make the film a brilliant classic!

Casino Royale

It's great to finally see a James Bond that is more human, rather than superhuman. Daniel Craig's James Bond is more vulnerable and carries much more personality and emotion than previous Bond's. Aside from these characteristics, this is one of the best 007's ever made. The action, swagger,'s all there, and together they make one awesome film!

Marvel's The Avengers

A film that definitely lived up to all the hype. It is perfect in just about every way: it's funny, action packed, never boring, and most importantly it takes the time to develop the plot. Each character has a good amount of individual time and each character was built up properly. The action scenes were some of the best i've seen in ANY film to date! Overall, I loved it and it was everything I expected and more......I have nothing bad to say about this film.

The Cabin in the Woods

I can't remember the last time I went into watching a film thinking I was going to be watching "horror/suspense" film, then left after having laughed my ass off to a COMEDY! Truly genius and I loved every minute of it. Sure the CGI or acting isn't the greatest, but that adds to the film's cheesy personality. I loved it so much that I actually paid to see it twice, and i've only done that about a handful of times!

Happy Gilmore

Quick witted humor throughout which I really liked. It was also fast paced and straight to the point, no extra long time developing a story line. All in all, I liked the film, but I don't place it on a high pedestal like other people seem to do. Also, something I noticed to be exceptionally annoying was the abundance of product placements within the film. Unnecessary.

Wedding Crashers

First of all the ratings for Wedding Crashers on RT, don't do the movie any justice. A "C" average?? Come on! Top 3 in my favorite movies, and #1 comedy of all time in my opinion. Owen and Vaughn are hilarious together and if that wasn't enough, Will Ferrell comes in towards the end for the knockout punch. If you haven't seen it, watch it now!

I don't have any bad things to say about this film, it's genius on all levels. The characters are all on point, the plot is entertaining, and every aspect ties in perfectly together. An honestly well made film all around, and has now definitely become one of my favorite comedies.

The Lookout
The Lookout(2007)

Reminds me alot of Memento, except not as well done. The Lookout is very thrilling throughout, but I believe it could have had some better direction here and there. All in all, you should definitely watch this film if you are looking for a good mystery and suspense film.

Project X
Project X(2012)

This movie is insanity! From a critics standpoint it has many flaws, but to a normal viewing audience it provides lots of laughs and entertainment. The one thing that turned me off about this movie was the over-exaggeration of the partying. It went on, and on, and on, and on! It's average, maybe a bit above average at best.....but that's all.

Safe House
Safe House(2012)

Descent. Not too bad, but not too good. I've seen Denzel is far better roles and in better films. I think that Ryan Reynolds should have been replaced with someone more uptempo, then the movie definitely would have been better in my opinion.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Haven't read any of the books, but now I would like to! The film was great in every aspect. It built up beautifully even though it followed two different sets of people, and then the next thing you know......BOOM everything becomes tied in. The climax and ending were perfect and leads to what looks to be a great second film. Can't wait.

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

Brought dozens of new concepts and ideas to the game. The film kept me on edge throughout and doesn't disappoint with the action scenes. Couldn't ask for more from a FOURTH film! It's almost as if the line of Mission Impossible films get better as more are released.

The Final Destination

Some of the worst CGI I have ever seen. Considering this film was made in 2009, there should be no excuse! There is nothing new here as far as the script goes, just the same ol same (everyone dies in a certain order). ZZZZZZ goodnight.

Plagues & Pleasures on the Salton Sea

VERY interesting documentary on one of my favorite places to visit. For those who know a lot about the Salton Sea or for those who know little to nothing at all, this documentary will intrigue you.

Peter Pan
Peter Pan(1953)

I know it's a classic but this film really didn't affect me like other popular Disney films have, as I felt it was a bit too cartoonish and clownish for me. It also wasn't very heart felt like other Disney films before and after it; but you can see the attempt that was made at least. Although there are many negatives in my opinion, the film does have many positives......just not as many to compete with the likes of The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, etc.. Mediocre to good film when all is said and done.

Let It Be
Let It Be(1970)

The Beatles doing that they do best, making music. Never a bad thing.

L.A. Confidential

Quite possibly the best crime mystery film ever made. The 50's feel grabs you from the very beginning and never abandons you. The film is perfect in every facet: the acting, the filming, set designs, name it, the film doesn't disappoint. What I loved the most is that for a 2 hour and 20 minute film it never goes dull or slows down, it continuously picks up more and more eventually reaching the thrilling climax in the last 10 minutes. Could not ask any more from this film, it's simply perfect.

Nacho Libre
Nacho Libre(2006)

Stupid film. I hate Jack Black with a passion. That's all.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Gonna be honest (always am), I did not like this film upon first viewing. Maybe I had too high of an expectation, but I felt let down. The film wasn't smooth and stalled a little too much for my liking. However, the film has some great comedy and I have learned to like it after watching it for a 2nd time.

Blades of Glory

Will Ferrell hasn't lost a step and is still great as always. In a bit of a different quirky role, Ferrell adds to the film tremendously, more than I can describe. I loved the film, thought it was funny, and is a must see in the comedy genre.

Napoleon Dynamite

Still to this day, it boggles my mind how people think this film is good or funny. To see this film receive moderately good reviews disappoints me. I felt the whole lead-up and aftermath of this film was complete hype and stupidity. As you can tell I have nothing nice to say so I am just going to stop right here.

Stand by Me
Stand by Me(1986)

A real genius film (especially the storyline), that truly captures the real essence of a childhood. This film carries pretty much every emotion there is: from happiness to sadness, and from disappointment to satisfaction. It is a classic that every person young to old should definitely watch.

The Descent
The Descent(2006)

WOW, I couldn't ask for a more engaging and suspenseful horror film. I was actually skeptical as to whether this film would even be worthy enough to watch, but once I was 10 minutes in, I was sold. I have many positive things to say about the film but i'll keep the review short. I really loved how this film was shot first and foremost. It's filmed almost entirely in the dark but manages to do the job with great camera angles and great acting. I think it's awesome how it was made with all chicks in every role, and I also think it's pretty neat how they created these monster/human evolved creatures who lurk in the caves. Which is even surprising that I like that because I am not really into sci-fi like creatures and monsters that are put into films with real life scenarios, but this film pulled it off brilliantly. It's a definite must watch.

J. Edgar
J. Edgar(2011)

DiCaprio deserves best actor for his role, hands down. I thought the J. Edgar was brilliant and very interesting. It doesn't matter if you are someone who knows alot on the topic or someone like myself who really didn't, this film will leave you intrigued. The TomatoMeter is usually 99% accurate when judging films, but in this case J. Edgar falls in the other 1%......come on critics, what the hell?!

Street Fighter

Cool to see a childhood video game put into a film, but all in all, the film is cheesy and many characters could have looked alot better. I think that if you have played Street Fighter before watching this then you will appreciate it somewhat, but if you have no idea what Street Fighter is while going into this film, then you will think it is a complete disaster.

Wrong Turn
Wrong Turn(2003)

Very unrealistic, it moves too fast and has really poor acting. Might get a scare or two out of you, but that's about it.

Great murder mystery film with an awesome plot. Would definitely recommend to anyone that likes the mystery/suspense/horror genres.

The Skulls
The Skulls(2000)

This movie had lots of potential, but never filled it. The premise and the actual story is really interesting, but the cheesy acting kills the film.

I've said this a million times, but Christopher Nolan is a genius! This is one of the most brilliant scripts I've ever seen put onto film. It's incredible how a story can be told backwards and still build more suspense than a film told in chronological order. A true masterpiece, there was nothing I didn't like about it. Bravo.

The Brothers Grimm

One of the few (if not the only) movie(s) I have walked out of in theaters. The film wants to go many places, but fails to go to any of them. Extremely boring, don't bother.

The Wolfman
The Wolfman(2010)

I hated this movie. It was poorly done and I felt as if it was completely rushed into theaters. Special effects are sub-par and acting is poor, this film was instantly forgotten about.

Ringu (Ring)
Ringu (Ring)(1998)

This started it all the modern day Asian-American horror films, that definitely deserves alot of credit. The cinematography is well done, but personally the movie didn't really scare me.

The Prestige
The Prestige(2006)

This is my type of film, full of mystery & twists. With one of the best twist endings i've ever seen, The Prestige adds onto Christopher Nolan's genius and great filmmaking. I haven't read the book, but this film has to be a really great adaptation for it. I don't think i've been as shocked towards an ending since I saw Se7en, i'm surprised this film didn't get more acclaim.

White Chicks
White Chicks(2004)

Very obvious and pretty awful. The Wayans bros are always funny no matter what, so they saved the film from being a complete disaster.

Big Momma's House 2

Stop already, enough is enough.

Been there done that......nutty professor zzzzzzz.

Nutty Professor II: The Klumps

Sure it had some good laughs, but it was just more of the same ol same.

The Nutty Professor

At the time of release, I found this movie to be very funny because it created the modern day genre of one actor playing multiple roles. Eddie Murphy killed as every role and set the stage for other films like it such as the Tyler Perry films, etc.

Center Stage
Center Stage(2000)

This was my sister's favorite movie for the longest time, so if it wasn't for her I probably would have never seen this movie. So with that said, it is engaging and a good storyline. Everything you would expect from a typical teen drama film though.

Step Up 2 the Streets

More like a step down from the first. Not to say this was a bad film, but it just lacked the substance and character of the first.

You Got Served

It was "cool". Other than the dancing, everything else was cheesy: acting, scenes, etc. Good to watch once, but nothing more.

Roll Bounce
Roll Bounce(2005)

I loved the detail in this movie, it really game it a 70's feel. All in all it's a fun film with some good smiles and laughs.

Phone Booth
Phone Booth(2003)

Very thrilling and suspenseful. Pretty short film, so it gets right into the action from the get go.

The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Fucking gross. I can usually stomach any film....until this. The upcoming sequel is supposed to be worse, holy cow.

Captain America: The First Avenger

It's everything you would expect from this movie. Very cliche, and there is obviously a love story behind it. I just feel as if the movie sped through the storyline at a fast pace. If you've seen it you know what I mean, and if you haven't pay attention because you might miss something. All in all, it was a good summer movie with some good fun action.

North by Northwest

This has to be one of the most entertaining films ever made! Hitchcock is truly a genius. I can only imagine the impact this film had in 1959, because just now watching it in 2011 has really amazed me.

Rush Hour 2
Rush Hour 2(2001)

The best out of the three hands down. This film has a really well thought out story line, and great comedy from Tucker and Chan. It packs a punch.

The Blind Side

If this film doesn't move you then something is wrong. I believe (if i'm correct) that this film is based on a true story. Don't want to give away too much, but the young man who is taken in has his life turned upside down, for the better. Brilliant acting all around and especially for that of Sandra Bullock's role.

Friday the 13th

Nothing really new here, except more blood. I was a bit let down from this reboot. It moved to fast and felt like a teen movie. I wish they would have focused more on how Jason became Jason; just like they did for Michael Myers in the Halloween reboot.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

It's a shame this film currently has a 65% rating for the audience. I feel that most of these ratings have come from 2005+ which are obviously going to be very different to a review from 1982. This film is nearly 30 years old and it still delivers a strong message to young and old, but mainly on the younger audience. It displays a remarkable portrait of childhood and growing up. Sure the film is slow at times and it may be a bit predictable, but that is what's special. Films today aren't like they were in 1982, and films will be different in another 30 years from now. It's important to take date into consideration, and not let that skew your judgement. It was an instant hit at release, and will forever be a classic with audiences young and old.

Clerks II
Clerks II(2006)

I died with laughter when I first saw this film. It might not be funny to some, but this is definitely my type of raunchy humor.

Definitely a cool funny film to watch that will get some laughs out of you.

Children of Men

This is honestly nothing less than a masterpiece, and I rarely use that word to describe films. Don't want to spoil that much, but the themes and ideas used in this film are genius. It really gets you thinking and asking yourself what the world would be like if something like "this" happened. Aside from the themes, the most astonishing aspect of this film is its cinematography. It REALLY puts you in the film! Probably one of the best chase/climax scenes that I have ever seen in a movie. Truly one of a kind and definitely a must see!

It would be hard to categorize this film since it is very surprising. I did not know too much about the film before viewing, so I was completely surprised about the turns that the film took. I got feelings where I thought it was going to turn into a horror film (when the sneak up on the house), then there are heart felt moments when he finally gets to the house (won't say what happens). But the documentary/film keeps you on edge and guessing, pretty cool.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Probably one of the bigger cult classic films i've seen and it was exactly what I thought it would be. It was very funny, clever, and only this type of film could do. Would I watch it again? Maybe. Not really my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

Friday the 13th

This started it all. Nothing more to be said, except you must watch it if you already haven't. Classic.

Freddy vs. Jason

Actually surprisingly good/decent. It's a win win, you get some of Freddy and you get some of Jason. Who wouldn't like them fighting against each other?!

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Of all of the remakes: Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street.......this is the most awful in comparison. First off, I didn't like this Freddy and it DID NOT feel like the original in any way what so ever. Disappointed.

Halloween II
Halloween II(1981)

I love the Halloween films, but my words can't save a failure movie. I think this movie in particular was pretty funny since NO ONE else seemed to be in the hospital as the mayhem was going on! What kind of realism is that?

Halloween H20

Gave the series a breathe of some fresh air, but still fell short due to its cheesiness.

I thought Spawn was such a cool film as a kid, but remembering it now and having to review it, it is very has poor acting and a poor plot. One thing that is still cool to this day is when Spawn drops in the ballroom at the end and starts fighting......bad ass.

Captain Eo
Captain Eo(1985)

Adds to the greatness of Michael Jackson. This was closed at Disneyland when I was a kid, so I didn't really remember it that well, but it was brought back after Michael Jackson's passing. Captain EO is an amazing short 3D film the great minds of Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas behind it. Aside from having MJ, his dancing, and singing it it, this film has a good message behind it. Captain EO will never get old to me.

Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor(2001)

I think I'm with everyone else in saying that this movie was a let down. It's too focused on love and not focused enough on the affect this event had on America. The attack on Pearl Harbor affected millions, so when making a film titled "Pearl Harbor" that! Don't focus on ONE love story for the majority of the film.

United 93
United 93(2006)

Sad, sad, sad, and sad because these events really happened on one of the most terrifying days in American history. I love films that grab a hold of your mind and make you forget that you are watching a film, making you feel as if you are really there. United 93 does that with unknown actors and a small setting (a plane). A truly remarkable film and is a must see.

The Devil's Rejects

Just by reading the title of the film, I knew I was going to be in for something crazy and weird. It's a really twisted film, but if you love that kind of stuff or love horror that pushes the envelope for that matter, then you'll like The Devil's Rejects.

The Hills Have Eyes

A descent horror film that holds nothing back and is full of blood.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I'm really indifferent about this one. First of all the original 3 are classic, and are full of their own unique style. This film has elements of those films, but doesn't quite give you the feeling of the old films. I also found this film to be the cheesiest out of all films, which is surprising since technology is way better in 2008. All in all, it's worth seeing but definitely cannot be compared to the orignal 3.

Austin Powers in Goldmember

Just didn't do it for me, and it somewhat steered off from the direction that the franchise was going in.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

For some reason I liked this one more than the first, but the critics and ratings seem to disagree. The comedy gets even wittier.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

Fresh movie that really hadn't been attempted before, gotta love that originality. Along with that comes lots of laughs and a great performance from Mike Myers.

Legally Blonde

Pretty sure I was dragged into seeing this with my mom, not really my cup of tea. For what it is though, it is a clever and somewhat funny movie.

From what I remember, this movie is full of action and awesomeness.

Mickey's Christmas Carol

Clever story, simply a classic.

Paranormal Activity 3

Really liked it....better than the 2nd and up there (if not better) with the 1st. Even though you know a shock or scare is about to happen, it still manages to get you. Definitely a must see.

Just watched this movie yesterday.....WOW I was missing out for YEARS. This is exactly my type of movie: medieval, thriller, adventure, bloody, great story......the list goes on. Inspiring to say the least, as Mel Gibson delivers an amazing performance, EPIC.

Jeepers Creepers

Just like the synopsis says, this movie had a promising start. I actually really liked it until the end when the monster got too sci-fi for his own good and killed the movie.

Wow! So many positive things I want to say about this film, but don't know where to start. The first few scenes reminded me of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, as did most of this film. The 80's feel, the music, the pink fonts....pretty cool. This was my first time watching a film with Ryan Gosling in it, and his performance is up there with the best i've EVER seen. Without moving or saying much, he delivers a really striking performance. Add in action, violence, and suspense.....this film has immediately shot up towards the top of my favorite movies list. This film is easily a modern day classic and has been one of the better films i've seen in a long time.

The Fourth Kind

Unbelievable. In a bad way.

Jackass 3
Jackass 3(2010)

I thought it was good, but I thought Jackass 2 was better. My rating for that movie was a 4, so this is a solid 3.5.

Jackass: Number Two

My stomach hurt after I left the theatre from laughing so hard. Awesome sequel.

Not as funny as Borat. Had tid bits of entertainment, but I mostly found myself saying "wtf is going on"?

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Hilarious film. It pushes all types of boundaries and holds nothing back. Although it's branded as pure improv, there are moments where the film seems scripted; that's the only problem I have with this movie.

Reno 911!: Miami

I never saw the show, and I kinda wish I never saw the movie. It was't that great.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

If you asked me which of the three is my favorite, I would probably have to say this one. I really liked how Jesus Christ and The Holy Grail were incorporated into the treasure hunt in this film. The action was non stop and the movie never lost its originality or identity for a second. Aside from the new 4th Indy film which I have yet to see, this was an amazing way to end a couldn't have been better.

Glory Road
Glory Road(2006)

Cliche, yes but a good cliche type of movie. Descent to good acting and a great story make for a good sports film here.

Coach Carter
Coach Carter(2005)

A very engaging film, this is Samuel L. Jackson at his finest.

Remember the Titans

Very inspiring and touching film, this is Denzel doing what he does best.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes

A literally crazy film about a sadistic serial killer. I understand it is a mockumentary, but the filming and visuals could have been better. The acting was also poor, not the greatest of films.

It's okay, just what I expected. For what it is, i think it does well with the gore and storytelling. However, the film takes SO long to get started and into the mix of things, that it hurts the film a bit.

Great acting, great script. A must see for anyone who likes a good scary movie.

House On Haunted Hill

To this day, this film still has what it takes to keep you on edge. Classic.

House of Wax
House of Wax(2005)

The best part of this film was probably Paris Hilton, and that's not even saying alot.

House on Haunted Hill

I just remember that this movie wasn't good. That's all.

The Haunting
The Haunting(1999)

Didn't feel scared at all, even as a 10 year old when it was released. Poor effects and poor acting, FAIL.

Love the gore, thrill, and comedy mix. Genius.

Drag Me to Hell

It's beyond me how everyone thinks this film is good! It's seriously stupid....and I never use the word stupid to describe films.

Pee-wee's Big Adventure

Fun and clever. Great film for anyone.

American Pie 2

It's not AS funny as the first, but it still retains its composure. The two girls kissing definitely helped the movie out alot, haha.

American Pie
American Pie(1999)

Raunchy and full of sex, who doesn't like that? Plus it created the word MILF for crying out loud!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Tim Burton always takes risks and he took another one here, to challenge the classic first Willy Wonka film. He tackled it and did a very good job in my opinion, he kept it original but added his own twist and flavor to it.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Classic, watching this makes me feel nostalgic because it reminds me of being a kid.

Beavis and Butt-head Do America

Beavis and Butt-Head don't tell the most hilarious jokes, but it is their delivery and stupidity that make them funny and lovable. This film doesn't fall short of their originality and is even an improvement from the show. "TP for my bunghole!"

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut

I'll never forget going to watch this in theaters as a 10 year old. Thanks dad. However, this film is bold and will make you laugh the whole time.

The Simpsons Movie

We all love The Simpsons, but this is something like you've never seen and is a huge upgrade from the show! Better writing (if it wasn't good already) and better animation. Bravo.

Night at the Museum

An entertaining kids movie, with some good laughs. I liked it.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Better than the first, but still too silly and mediocre.

Fantastic Four

This film is barelyyyy getting a 3.5 from me. It's always cool to see a comic book make it to the big screen, but Fantastic Four is a bit too silly for my liking. I believe all of these comic book films should be portrayed with a darker tone, as seen in films like The Dark Knight or X-Men: First Class.

Spider-Man 3
Spider-Man 3(2007)

This film lacked substance and the ratings show it. It had some cool action scenes and Venom was awesome, but overall it lacked an identity that the previous two had.

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2(2004)

Just as good as the first, if not better. More action and definitely a coller villain. I've always liked Doc Ock, so it was nice to see him put into the film.

Alice in Wonderland

I liked it, but I feel like it did not pay enough homage to the original. In that sense this film is flawed.

There Will Be Blood

Daniel Day-Lewis in one of the best acting roles i've ever seen, from anybody.

No Country for Old Men

Nothing I like better than a film that makes you forget you are watching a film. Here is one of those's that good.

The King's Speech

A very powerful film! It may not be for everyone because it is deep, but wow this film is touching.

Reservoir Dogs

The beginning of Tarantino and his genius. What a film! This is as real as it gets.

Pineapple Express

When Seth Rogan was cool and original. Very funny and relevant to us all in some way or another.

Fade to Black

Best rapper alive! You need to love Jay to understand this film. This was an in depth look into the making of THE historic Black Album. Genius documentary from a genius man.

How High
How High(2001)

It's good because it's that stupid.....if that makes any sense.

Half Baked
Half Baked(1998)

Dave Chapelle doing what he does best, acting high and talking about weed.

Super Size Me

One of the most incredible and influential documentaries i've seen.

Wow, it smells like cheese.

The Departed
The Departed(2006)

Jack Nicholson made this movie for me. If you want a good action/drama with a good plot, here you go.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Who doesn't wanna see Angelina Jolie get all hot and fiesty?! It was an enjoyable movie.

8 Mile
8 Mile(2002)

My dad who hates rap even loved 8 Mile! Very well put together and the rap battles scenes are epic.

Get Rich or Die Tryin'

Critics are trippin! A true come up story that is very real and very good.

Smith has a tough role to tackle with Ali, but he does a tremendous job with it. Solid.

I, Robot
I, Robot(2004)

Don't really know how I feel about this movie. I'm completely in the middle, it was cool but then it's also blahhh. Whatever.

I just reviewed "The Day After Tomorrow", and I feel as if the review should be just about the same for 2012. It's very unrealistic and a couple of times I found myself saying "reallyyyy"? Overall, it could have been better.

The Day After Tomorrow

I feel as if this film pioneered and paved the way for all the modern day disaster films you see i'll give it that. However, some special effects are okay, but this film mostly screams out "unrealistic".

I Am Legend
I Am Legend(2007)

Wow, this was surprisingly good. One of Will Smith's best, if not his best.

Men in Black II

Not on the same planet as the original, no pun intended.

Men in Black
Men in Black(1997)

Very clever film that can entertain anyone from a little kid to a grown adult. Will Smith is always good.

Edward Scissorhands

After this ridiculously brilliant acting piece from Johnny Depp, it's no wonder that Tim Burton uses him in all of this crazy films. As only Tim Burton can do, Edward Scissorhands is unique in its own way and it just works.

Angels & Demons

Once again going against the grain for the sequel! I too thought this one was awesome. It kept going full steam and didn't lose pace from the first, I even thought it was better.

The Da Vinci Code

Maybe I am going against the grain of others' ratings on RT, but I thought this film was good! A good mystery thriller that never lets go of your attention.

The Passion of the Christ

Okay first of all, let me just say that I feel weird for reviewing this movie and giving it stars. Putting love and emotion for Jesus Christ aside and looking at the film for its technical is very powerful. The acting, sets, and camera angles capture the audience and grips them throughout the entire film. As sad as this film is, the events and the content of the film are historically correct, and Mel Gibson did an impressive job documenting those events.

Blade: Trinity

Clearly not as good as the first two, but still entertaining. Just like most third movies in a franchise, this movie should probably just have been left as a thought and never put onto film.

Blade II
Blade II(2002)

I actually thought this was a notch better than the first. Fight scenes are even gorier, yes.

Saw Blade a long time before I was a teen and thought this movie was badass. To this day, I still feel the same. Blood, guts, and Wesley Snipes as a vampire killer.......what's not to love?

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

A little off the pace from the first, but still awesome. I liked the cinematography just as much, maybe more, compared to the first. What I didn't like was the amount of time spent on Willie. It seemed a bit excessive, and her screams/voice got annoying REAL fast.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Wow, where to begin. The first scene is one of the most iconic set pieces ever created, what a way to kick the movie off. Just looking at the names before viewing, I knew it was going to be amazing: Speilberg (director), Lucas (producer), and Ford (lead actor)! The acting was on point, the action scenes were thrilling, and it was suspenseful throughout its entirety. Truly one of a kind.

James and the Giant Peach

This movie takes me back to 3rd/4th grade. One of those movies you couldn't forget even if you tried.

500 Days of Summer

One of the best unexpected movies i've ever seen. Well done: great acting, great cinematography, great everything! This is a movie that could never get old.

Disaster movie made for teens.

The Sandlot
The Sandlot(1993)

Grew up on this amazing movie. It's always gonna be special to me.

The Exorcist
The Exorcist(1973)

This started it all! The original that created many phonies after it, many still to this day. Very engaging and scary to say the least, but what I find to be even more extraordinary, is the fact that it was made in 1973, a time when films like this simply weren't attempted.

The Last Exorcism

Loved it until the sci-fi like ending, but it has a good amount of scares which I liked.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Don't really remember seeing this, that might say alot about the quality of the film. I do remember that the possessed scenes weren't that cheesy, so that's a positive at least.

Red Eye
Red Eye(2005)

Good thriller, I liked it. Different type of movie for Wes Craven, but he delivered.

Has its ups and downs. Could have been better, if it didn't become so farfetched as certain points.

Panic Room
Panic Room(2002)

Almost 10 years old and this movie still is cool and relevant. I've always liked Panic Room and think it is very brilliantly done.

Final Destination 3

They should have stopped before this movie, things are too predictable now.

Final Destination 2

I think this one goes neck and neck with the first one, it's not bad.

Final Destination

Great idea for a film, but the cast executed their roles poorly. I remember thinking this movie was thrilling and eerie when I was 11 at the time of release, but being older now and's just kinda cheesy.

The Omen
The Omen(2006)

Didn't think it was 26% bad, but it could have been alot better. It has its fair share of good scares though.

The Green Mile

One of the best films I've ever seen. Very climatic and brilliant.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie

There was nothing cooler than being a little kid and watching this. Cheesy? Yes, but who gives a's the Power Rangers!

Kill Bill: Volume 2

These movies have too much swag.

The Grudge
The Grudge(2004)

Okay, but it bites alot off of The Ring.

The Ring Two
The Ring Two(2005)

Not bad in the way it was made, just bad because you get a been-there-done-that feeling.

The Ring
The Ring(2002)

One of the scariest movies i've ever seen.

The Box
The Box(2009)

Weak. It started off okay, but drastically fell off from there.

Inglourious Basterds

Wow! Only Tarantino could make something as awesome as this.

The Hurt Locker

I thought it was okay. I see hints of what the hype was all about, but I feel like i'm missing something.

The Sixth Sense

The ending! What a movie!

Saving Private Ryan

Best war film ever made. Period.

Boobs! That's about it.....crappy movie and horrible acting. The boobs got all 2 and a half stars. No stars.

Crazy, but my lord is it entertaining. One of the best film's of the 90's.

The Usual Suspects

So simple, but so sophisticated......great film. Kevin Spacey never disappoints.

Beauty and the Beast

Disney gets romantic! Ooo la la.

The Shining
The Shining(1980)

Jack Nicholson is a legend. This guy delivers in every movie, and this is one of his best.

So one day I found Misery laying around the house, and had no clue what it was or what it was about. One of the best choices and discoveries i've ever made; what an awesome film, Kathy Bates is amazing.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

JUST BARELY watched this movie after all these years! I now understand why people go so crazy for The Nightmare Before Christmas. Genius work all around.

The Silence of the Lambs

5 stars because there had never been anything both horrific and thrilling before this film, and 5 stars because to this day, there still hasn't been something like it in the genre. Brilliant on all levels, this film gets me every time.

Black Swan
Black Swan(2010)

Being a psychology major I love psychological films, and Black Swan is easily one of the best i've seen in that category. There was hype around this movie was for a reason!

Maybe i'm missing something, but I didn't think this movie was all that good. Definitely not a 100% perfect worthy. I liked it a tad better than the first, but I still found myself bored through many parts just like the first. The aliens don't really attack or chase, and when they do they move slow enough to where a turtle could lose them in a chase. Okay not really but you catch my drift. All in all it was okay, and I could live without ever watching it again. BUT just because it's a classic (I guess) and James Cameron directed it, i'll give it 4 stars........just barely.

Apocalypse Now

WOW, amazing. Visually stunning, and one of (if not) the best war films ever made. I appreciated how it was able to switch from primarily a war film, to a psychological thriller at the end when he finds Col. Kurtz.......just an awesome film!

It's hard for me to judge this film after having just watched it in 2011. I think for 1979, the set design and cinematography was unbelievable. Alien wasn't quite what I had expected though, and what I expected was ALOT. Given the score on RT and the craze that the name "Alien" has always carried behind it, I believe (given it's date as well) could have been better. Overall, I believe that this film needed better balance, as it was slow during some scenes and very fast during others. None the less, a very cool movie with many breakthrough ideas and techniques. My favorite part by far is the man laying down with the alien on his face.....awesome scene.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! I find the whole story about the Zodiac killer to be very fascinating, and this movie delivers as it tells its story.

A very believable sci-fi thriller! Great movie, surprised it wasn't bigger in the box office.

Didn't see this movie until 2010, but I can see why it was such a thrill during it's release. To this day it is still a very relevant movie, and a classic to say the least.

I'm sure this movie was awesome and groundbreaking in 1982, but having seen it in 2010 right before the new one, it seems very cheesy. Who knows, in 30 years the new Tron might look cheesy? All in all though, good idea for a movie and some descent acting.

Tron Legacy
Tron Legacy(2010)

After waiting a whole year for this movie, i'm going to be honest and say that I was let down. They visuals were insanely good, but visuals can only hold up so much when the plot is weak.

Despite poor ratings here on RT, I loved the film and it had me gripped throughout. The camera techniques were really cool and definitely added to the suspense factor. Only thing I would have changed, would be to have given the ending a bit more of a punch.

Despicable Me

In a day in age where there are more animated films than ever, Despicable Me stands out for its originality and intelligent humor.

Wow, what a brilliant and artistic movie. The current 64% on here is wayyyy lower than what this movie truly deserves. One of the few films that engages you to the point that you forget you are watching a movie, and makes you feel like you are actually part of it.

Full of style and flavor; easily one of the best mobster movies ever made........ it's up there with The Godfather.

3 Ninjas
3 Ninjas(1992)

Grew up on this movie as well. It will always be a classic to me.

Rookie of the Year

Grew up with this movie, so i'm always going to love it.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

The CGI in this movie is the best i've ever seen, along with Avatar. Overall, I think the movie was great, but I still feel indifferent about it. At times a certain scene or aspect of the movie develops with much time and alot of thought, then at other times some scenes feel rushed. But I guess you can only fit so much into 2 hours. Good movie none the less, and worth the money.

I Know What You Did Last Summer

Jennifer Love Hewitt is the only thing this movie has to offer. It's too similar to Scream as it was made a year after.

127 Hours
127 Hours(2010)

Impressive film about a tragic incident. After you watch this, go to youtube and look up the real life documentary on Aron Ralston....the actual video is almost identical! They got this movie spot on.

Mrs. Doubtfire

Another one of my kid classics. Gotta love it.

The World Is Not Enough

This one was better than what the ratings suggest. Check it out and you'll see for yourself.

Die Another Day

The gadgets are cool, but it lacks substance. Kudos for Halle Berry as a Bond girl though.

This movie was made even cooler with the video game. Am I wrong?

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Really clever storytelling here. Bradd Pitt is great as always.

The Notebook
The Notebook(2004)

Every girl's favorite movie! It's pretty touching, coming from a dude.

Cast Away
Cast Away(2000)

Just saw this a year ago (yes, 10 years late) & and had to do a report on it for one of my college classes. Let's just say, it was the most fun i've had writing a paper. Remarkable acting by Tom Hanks as he kills this amazing script.

The acting and cinematography is great. An awesome western!

3:10 to Yuma
3:10 to Yuma(2007)

My favorite western and one of my favorite movies! Great acting with tons of action!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie

Loved this as a little kid, but I gotta rate it overall.

Big Momma's House

Good & fresh idea but it gets real old real fast.

Paranormal Activity 2

I liked it. Not as much as the first, but it's still up there. I believe these average scores are due to its predictability, but overall not a bad sequel.

Paranormal Activity

I applaud this movie for rising through the ranks to its prominence! It was a good idea for a movie and provided lots of scares. The audience score on here is low because people are scared! That's a good sign.

Modern horror classic. It could've used better visuals, but it's 1982.....who's complaining?

The psychology of this movie messes with you more than the actual scares. It's a cool movie.

The Strangers

The Strangers, oh The Strangers......I had so much hope in you! This movie started out very well and even proceeded to be okay until the sudden ending. I was really surprised at how short the movie was, and because of it's short length it makes everything seem rushed; furthermore, with that comes few scares.

The Waterboy
The Waterboy(1998)

I used to think it was funny, but that's because I was younger when this came out.

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo

LOL. Not with the movie, at the movie.

Big Daddy
Big Daddy(1999)

It's so so, not bad but not good.

Mean Girls
Mean Girls(2004)

Comes off as an average bimbo comedy, but it's a pretty well done comedy. Approve.

She's the Man

Amanda Bynes is sexy, but this movie isn't.

Bring It On
Bring It On(2000)

Despite it being a complete bimbo movie, it's pretty entertaining to watch. It definitely comes with some laughs.

Little Nicky
Little Nicky(2000)

This was the first movie I saw on a date in middle school, and even then I didn't think it was funny. Plain stupid.

You Don't Mess With the Zohan

No. I'm not a fan of stupid comedy, especially when things are unrealistic.

Batman: The Movie

1966! This started it all! The most awesome part is when someone is hit, an onomatopoeia shows up. I loved this OG Batman.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

Good storytelling movie. Saw it when I was 16 and still thought it was cool, it must be awesome for a little kid.

RoboCop 3
RoboCop 3(1993)

Loved the first one, the second one was okay, but this one is ehhhh.

Robocop 2
Robocop 2(1990)

Because I grew up on these movies, I liked it. Not the best acting, but still cool.

This movie is just plain smart. A robot cop kicking ass! Sit back and enjoy.

Glad to see modern day cartoon movies still have the touch of the oldies. Aside from Toy Story, Up could easily be the best movie.

A Bug's Life
A Bug's Life(1998)

Fun & fresh. Good kid's movie.

Law Abiding Citizen

WOW! One of the most underrated movies I know, that includes inside and outside of Rotten Tomatoes. First of all, it didn't do well in theatres (probably due to poor marketing), and second, a 25% on here!?!? No justice at all! Please....if you're reading this and haven't seen it, go watch it. Im annoyed.

This Is England

I would level this movie up with American History X. It delivers the same message in many ways. They acting is very good for a bunch of no names, I sometimes forgot I was even watching a movie!

Green Street Hooligans

Being a FOOTBALL fan, I love this movie; tt's Fight Club meets football. The only flaw of this film is Elijah Wood. His acting skills are very poor and I feel they could have done a better job with casting.

Fight Club
Fight Club(1999)

A real genius movie. This script is it, and the acting is amazing.

Alice in Wonderland

Just recently saw this movie after so many years! Not what I expected and not really Disney-like. Many things in this movie would never be seen in a G-rated movie in today's standards. Freaky.

Love Disney, but was never really the biggest Pinocchio fan. Good movie none the less.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

First animated Disney film! Even if you haven't seen it, you know it HAS to be good. Remind's me of my sister.

Eric Bana as the Hulk? Crap Movie. Even the remake after this movie wasn't up to par. Can't wait for the day a well made Hulk movie comes out.

The Lion King

If this movie doesn't make you sad then you have no heart. Next to Aladdin, The Lion King is the 2nd best movie in Disney's 90's golden era.

My favorite Disney movie. Simply untouchable.

Mortal Kombat

I just get the feeling that this movie was completely rushed. It seemed cool as a little kid, but looking back now it just seems all too cheesy.

The Town
The Town(2010)

Wow who would've thought that Ben Affleck could direct such a good film! I feel like this movie didn't get the proper recognition it deserved though. However, the movie is awesome and Affleck as an actor actually did a great job.

Scream 4
Scream 4(2011)

Too predictable, hopefully this is the last of the Scream series. Hayden Panettiere made this movie somewhat descent though thank god.

Scream 3
Scream 3(2000)

Things are just getting pretty old now.

Scream 2
Scream 2(1997)

Surprisingly good sequel.

I was 7 when it came out, so naturally I thought it was scary......and for it's time it was. Plus it gave horror fans a quality new series, which otherwise had been lacking since the Halloween and Friday the 13th films.

H2: Halloween II

I liked the first H1 reboot but I can't really say the same for this one. I expected a lot more.

I am a fan of this movie! I appreciated how Rob Zombie took it back and went in depth as to how Michael Myers became a killer. The ratings given to this movie on RT are very low and not characteristic of how good the movie actually is.

Halloween III - Season of the Witch

Why Why Why Why??? No Michael Myers in a Halloween movie? Get out of here.

My favorite horror film and horror film series. This movie set the stage for many films to follow: Freddy, Jason, Scream, etc. It doesn't matter what year it is, this movie will never get old, because Michael Myers chasing you will never lose its touch.

Because it's Pixar, the visuals are on point, but it's been really hard for me to fully like this movie.

Walk the Line

Knew nothing about Johnny Cash going into this movie, and left feeling like i've been a fan all my life. Strong movie and definitely worth watching.

Even if you have never listened to her music, you will still appreciate this film.

Man on Wire
Man on Wire(2008)

Tight rope walking in between the TWIN TOWERS!? Wow, awesome documentary.

The Wizard of Oz

CLASSIC! 5 stars! There aren't many movies made where pretty much EVERYONE has seen it, this is one of those movies.......that should say enough right there!

Saw III(2006)

Has alot of gore, but left feeling like any Saw movie made after this one would just start to get really boring and typical.

Saw II
Saw II(2005)

Thought Saw II kept it's direction from the first. I liked it.

Kept me on the edge of my seat, a favorite of mine in the horror genre for sure.

Scary Movie 2

I hate stupid movies. Catch my drift?

Scary Movie
Scary Movie(2000)

Veryyyy dry humor. One thing I will give it credit for, is for spawning all the similar movies to come after: Date Movie, Epic Movie, etc.

Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in The Hood

Critics don't understand a movie like this. This is strictly made for the audience and for laughter at the outrageous things the Wayan bros do. I Liked it.

Boyz n the Hood

This movie seriously wowed me. Struggle, passion, and heart all tied together and portrayed beautifully on screen. BNTH is very real and one of my favorite films of all time.

Will never get old! A comedy classic in my eyes.

Get Smart
Get Smart(2008)

Dragged into seeing this. Did not like it at all. Definitely not a recommendation of mine.

The Bourne Ultimatum

Jason Bourne is a bad ass. Best movie in the trilogy.....easily.

The Bourne Supremacy

The ball keeps on rolling from the first movie. Well done!

The Bourne Identity

Best suspense/mystery/thriller franchise out there! This thing delivers.

Mission: Impossible III

Tom Cruise is good once again. I really liked what they did with the facial masks, pretty cool. J.J. Abrams proves why he's got loads of talent.

Mission: Impossible 2

Lost DePalma as a director and that's where this movie failed. Has cool action but definitely not as good as the first and lacks alot of substance.

Mission: Impossible

Remember watching this at the theatre and it blew my mind. Good suspense movie for it's time and definitely deserves a lot higher rating than what's given.

Top Gun
Top Gun(1986)

Pretty routine movie, but a classic in alot of ways I guess. One of the few movies I like Tom Cruise in.

Definition of a classic. This movie pretty much created the horror genre and set the standard for everything else since: Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc.

Rear Window
Rear Window(1954)

If you are a person who won't view an "old" movie, think again! Trust me this movie is just as exciting as anything made today. Hitchcock is truly a genius, no joke.

The Blair Witch Project

4 and a half stars simply for it's uniqueness. Breakthrough movie with new scares and filming techniques. Good movie when I was 10 and good movie to this day. Props.

Gran Torino
Gran Torino(2009)

"Get off my lawn". Loved the message of this film. Loved to see Clint Eastwood be a hard head, then soften up and finally show some love. Good movie.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Glad they didn't lose pace with this one. Just as funny as the first, if not funnier! Classic.

Home Alone
Home Alone(1990)

This movie still gets alot of PT at home whenever my sister and I are looking for a good laugh. Such a good kids movie, our generation was the best.

Rush Hour 3
Rush Hour 3(2007)

Shouldn't have been made. Had bits and pieces of laughter, but struggled really hard to be like the first two films.

Rush Hour
Rush Hour(1998)

Not the most intricate thriller, but bits and pieces added to a pretty well done comedy make for a good first movie to the trilogy.

Bad Boys II
Bad Boys II(2003)

Strictly a money maker. Alot of arguing and blah blah blah, but pretty funny and entertaining none the less.

Weird that I like this movie, but as a kid I had bugged and bugged my parents to take me to see it cause I thought it was cool. I still hear about my nagging over this movie to this day! Coneheads is always gonna be memorable to me.

The Mask
The Mask(1994)

Great whacky Jim Carrey movie. Loved it as a of a kind.

Four Brothers

4 brothers doing whatever it takes to have eachother's backs. It's okay, asi asi.

Training Day
Training Day(2001)

"King Kong ain't got shit on me!" Definition of badass movie.

The Godfather, Part III

A descent movie, but this is minor league compared to the first two.

The Godfather, Part II

So good, that the one guy who gave this "rotten" on this site seriously needs to get whacked. One of the best thing's to ever have been FILMED. Period.

The Godfather

The ultimate family film. Holy shit!

40 Days and 40 Nights

Romantic comedy with really dry humor.

There's Something About Mary

Blunt, crude humor is always good.

The Longest Yard

Just a weird movie to me. Almost like the producer just wrote things out on paper as fast as he could and decided to make a movie about the contents of that paper.

Bruce Almighty

Jim Carrey saved this from being a complete disaster.

Fast & Furious

Expected more with the OG crew back together.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Cool cars againnnn, BUT now Paul Walker is gone? No no no.

2 Fast 2 Furious

Loved the cars again, but a whole new cast aside from Walker made it not a worthy sequel.

The Fast and the Furious

Descent plot, descent acting, GREAT cars...... make a pretty great movie. Ten years later, it's still just as fresh as ever.

Road Trip
Road Trip(2000)

Not the best comedy, but one of those you watch and think "this is some shit i'd do with my friends"

Requiem for a Dream

Shocking and crazy to watch at certain points. But you still watch, cause it's that good.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

A little fast and not as great as the previous two, but you can't hate on the's too great.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Loved the darkness and passion put into this film. Can't remember a film I had been more eager to see at the time of release than Episode III. Very well done and tied together nicely between II and IV.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

On the same field as Episode I in my opinion, but picks up the pace a bit and sets itself up nicely for Episode III.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

Not liked by many, but when compared the IV, V, and VI, I can see why. However, it delivers awesome action scenes with Darth Maul and pod racing, but then get's a bit unnecessary at the same time with Jar Jar Binks & co.

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

My favorite and the best of the original trilogy. "No, I am your father"!!

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

Ground-breaking classic & my favorite franchise of all time.

One of the most recommended movies to my friends. Hard-hitting film about the harsh world we live in.

Almost makes you believe you are there, and these creatures actually exist.

Who would've thought love and massive tragedy could blend so well?

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

The glue between the first and the last. Loved it.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

The beginning to arguably one of the best trilogies/franchises of all time.

Step Brothers

Will Ferrell remains funny despite this awkward movie consisting of a pair of 40 year old stepbrothers.

John Tucker Must Die

Girly high school movie. Consensus=no.

Adam Sandler is funny.....that's a given. But a movie about controlling life with a remote? No thanks.

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm

Not a big release, but a great cartoon from the animated series. Watched it as a kid and i'll never forget it.

Stomp the Yard

Sucks critically, poor acting and script but still bearable to watch.

Hot Tub Time Machine

Some funny one-liners, that's about it.

Funny People
Funny People(2009)

This movie has it's bumps. It goes and then stalls, then goes and then stalls again.....this goes on for 2 and a half hours.

A dead-on movie portraying a very historic event. Brilliant.

Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction(1994)

Cult classic! Cussing, violence.....loved it all.

American History X

RAW! Be ready for this one. Loved it.

Descent sci-fi worth watching.

Stupid and not realistic.

Huge when it came out, which added to the like factor; but wish it could have been a little bit darker like the new Batman series.

Step Up
Step Up(2006)

Predictable, but an alright movie.

Ehhhhhh, unnecessary.

For what it is......I REALLY liked every bit of this movie. I was completely surprised how good it actually was. Funny & action packed, it accomplished it's goal.

The Ugly Truth

Good acting, but not that original as a romantic comedy.

Independence Day

Thought this was the coolest movie as a 2nd grader. Still think it's cool today.

The Incredible Hulk

The second attempt at a Hulk movie. It's whatever, could've lived without watching.

The 40 Year Old Virgin

Fresh and definitely funny. I've never seen my dad laugh so hard.

Blood Diamond

A movie with a huge message that needs to be watched.

War of the Worlds

Saw it in theatres and opposed to others, I actually liked it. Could it have been better? Sure but it was pretty well done.

The Lost World - Jurassic Park

Amazing as a child, but descent reviewing it now.

Jurassic Park III

Best looking dinos out of the three, but the least necessary film of the three.

Jurassic Park

Beast movie! Literally.

Terminator Salvation

Cool, but could've been better. When you're making a "Terminator" movie, it better be badass and rated R. This movie lacked both of those.

Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines

No James Cameron, no good movie. Hurt the franchise a bit in my opinion.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

James Cameron once again! How many sequels are better than the first? Not many. 20 years old and still badass.

The Terminator

This film made Arnold. It also set a huge standard for other films as far as action sequences go.

Toy Story 3
Toy Story 3(2010)

Over a decade after Toy Story 2, TS3 still brought out the little kid in me. Perfection.

Toy Story 2
Toy Story 2(1999)

Toy Story 2 = CLASSIC 2

Toy Story
Toy Story(1995)

My childhood should thank this movie for making it so awesome. CLASSIC!

Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo(2003)

This is how you make a cartoon.

The Pursuit of Happyness

This movie is full of heart, gotta love it.

X-Men: The Last Stand

Sadly not as strong as the first two, still full of action though.

X2: X-Men United

The ball keeps rolling after the first X-Men, with arguably an even better plot.

This movie is boss. If you don't like it, go get checked.

Disney and Pixar deliver again!! Wall-E sir, keep rollin on dude.

A really hilarious comedy that's really strong whilst being so simple and predictable.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle

Not the funniest film ever, but it's witty and made me laugh plenty.

Slumdog Millionaire

Kept me intrigued the whole time. It's worthy of all the hype, props.

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2(2010)

Predictable movie after the first, but filled with even more action.

Iron Man
Iron Man(2008)

I remember waiting for this movie for a good amount of time, and the wait was worth it. Action, plot,'s all there. RDJ kills as Iron Man......sir, you are the shit.

District 9
District 9(2009)

Good sci-fi filled with some cool scenes, that seem pretty damn real.

Don't remember much of this movie, only that it made me pretty tired.

This movie is badass, period. Glad I got to see it in IMAX.

The Matrix Revolutions

Disappointing way to end the trilogy. Still has a good amount of goods from the first two however.

The Matrix Reloaded

Good sequel, but once again the acting isn't up to par.

The Matrix
The Matrix(1999)

Breakthrough movie for it's time and an example of what film's today try to duplicate. However, Keanu Reeves......sir, you suck as an actor.

Shutter Island

I'm a fan of thrillers, and this didn't disappoint. Add some scariness to it and you got yourself a pretty good movie.

Date Movie
Date Movie(2006)

Saw it, but don't remember too much from it. A clue that it was pretty bad.

Ben Affleck you such. Cheesy.

Badass warrior movie. Crowe kills and the movie delivers.

The Hangover
The Hangover(2009)

Funny and very original. Good to see a movie like this come along when there have been so many boring comedies now a days.

Back to the Future Part III

Not what I expected from this one, but still liked it. Great series! I would recommend all three if you haven't seen them already.

Back to the Future Part II

Stayed original for the most part, but had a different flavor to it. I liked how they tied in future time travel with the past, COOL!

Back to the Future

Hadn't watched any of the BTTF's until a couple of months ago. Glad I found the hidden treasure, especially with this one in particular. It's a classic for a reason, and will never get old to me.

Due Date
Due Date(2010)

Funny here and there, but overall it was pretty much a floppy movie.

Knocked Up
Knocked Up(2007)

Funny! I liked Katherine Heigl alot in this movie. Seth Rogen was funny and original, sucks he fell off in his later movies.

The Social Network

Get's Eric's 5 star know it's a good movie. No but seriously let me put it this way......if Jesus was a film director, this would have been one of the films he would've made. It's perfect.

Battle: Los Angeles

Started out good with alot of potential, then got shittier and shittier. Should be renamed "Boring: Los Angeles".

Not bad, but not good. One of those middle movies that are whatever. I thought the filming techniques were pretty cool though.

Batman & Robin

Hurts to give a Batman movie this kinda rating, but you get what you give.

Batman Forever

From a critic standpoint it's bad, but as a child it was action packed, funny, and cool. Descent movie for what it was, and for being a 90's superhero movie.

Batman Returns

Good, but not as good as the first. This movie has a lot to offer though and does a good job as a sequel.

First movie I saw as a baby (even though I don't remember)! This movie single handedly made me love batman throughout my childhood and even until now. Great for it's time, and still fun to watch. Jack kills as the Joker.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Loved it, the series keeps going without losing steam. That's a good thing to say after how great the 3rd film was.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Best HP movie up to this point, and easily one of the best out of all 8.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Great follow up to the first, stayed original.....I like that.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Haven't read the books so can't compare, but this is a great film and a great start to the franchise.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Ehhhh, continued action from the first but even worse plot.

If just based on action it would get 5 stars, but because of it's basic plot and sub-par acting......3.5 stars.

True Grit
True Grit(2010)

Thought is was "alright". Don't see what all the hype is about. If it wasn't for the little girl's acting, my rating would be lower.

Batman Begins

Liked it alot, but would've added more things to it if it was up to me. Great way to start a franchise none the less.

Star Trek
Star Trek(2009)

Perfect 5 stars! What i love the most is how I had never watched a piece of Star Trek in my life before this movie, and yet after watching it I felt like I had been a Trekkie for life. It takes a a real talented director to be able to do that, J.J. Abrams is that guy.

Schindler's List

Masterpiece to say the least. One of the best movies of ALL TIME. Spielberg are a genius.

The Shawshank Redemption

If you don't love this movie, something is seriously wrong with you. 5 stars without a doubt, a true testament to the human spirit.

Along with Wedding Crashers, this is my favorite movie and probably will be for many years to come. The scores on RT don't do this movie any justice, and I wouldn't go by them at all; I usually agree with RT, but not here. The drama, the fighting scenes, everything in the movie is very real and very good.

Seven (Se7en)

One of the best thrillers ever made! If you think you know the direction this movie is going in, think again.

X-Men: First Class

REALLY well made movie. Where many superhero movies fail, especially prequels, this movie kept me entertained throughout. Great storyline.

One of my favorite movies. From rags to riches...... filled with money, drugs, and sex.....what's not to love?! Oh, plus the fact some guy named Al Pacino starred, made Scarface an instant classic.

Ocean's Eleven

Fun, fast movie with lots of style and swag. When you a movie makes you root for the bad guys, you know it's good.

The Dark Knight

There aren't many movies I would give 5 stars to, but here's one. There wasn't one thing I didn't appreciate about this movie: Ledger, Eckhart, and Bale all delivered in their roles, with Ledger leading the way. Such a shame he couldn't witness all the positive responses garnered from such a spectacular film of his.

WOW. Non-stop thinker that's thrilling and filled with some nice action scenes. Christopher Nolan is a genius.

Cidade de Deus (City of God)

Raw movie filled with greed and struggle, keeping you gripped throughout.

Started good, ended bad. Got a bit too supernatural for me.

Fast Five
Fast Five(2011)

Great way to end the series. Not many cars or race scenes, but stayed glued to the storyline none the less.

The Hangover Part II

I regret spending money on this movie. Extremely repetitive.

Super 8
Super 8(2011)

J.J. Abrams delivers again.

Friends With Benefits

Hilarious! Timberlake and Kunis have a natural on-screen chemistry.

Horrible Bosses

All 3 bosses are key to this movie being good, however Dale and his high pitched voice is too annoying for my liking. #brokenrecordplayer

Bad Teacher
Bad Teacher(2011)

Not the smoothest of movies, but still liked it. Cameron Diaz is good when she's raunchy.
