All in all, this is a great entry to the Bond franchise and one that is well under appreciated. I have to believe that, should Dalton had been given additional films, he would have gone down as one of the most beloved lead actors in the franchise. While he may not have the animal magnetism Connery or even the younger Moore had, Dalton proves that Bond is more than just a pretty face, he is a bad ass agent as well. https://latetothegame.blog/2019/04/25/key-movies-of-my-life-james-bond-edition-licence-to-kill-1989/
Overall, The Living Daylights is a rather bland story with an action packed ending that almost makes up for the less than exciting first two thirds of the film. That being said, it has it's moments and is a a rather fun attempt to bring in a new Bond actor. Making only two Bond Films, Dalton may not be the best in the franchise, but he is certainly not the worst. This one is worth watching at least once. https://latetothegame.blog/2019/04/18/key-movies-of-my-life-james-bond-edition-the-living-daylights-1987/
Overall, while this is not one of the best Bond films in the series it is still fairly solid as a whole. It is strange, it is over-the-top and completely unbelievable but, lets be honest, some of the best Bond films fit that bill much of the time. If this is your first time watching one of 007's adventures, you could have started with much worse. https://latetothegame.blog/2019/04/11/key-movies-of-my-life-james-bond-edition-a-view-to-a-kill-1985/
All in all, this isn't a bad Bond film but one that plays with all of the cliche's and tropes the Bond franchise is known for, jamming them into one well produced rehash of a nearly 20 year old film.  Connery still has what it takes to be the ultimate English Spy but it is clear that this would be his last hurrah in the title role, allowing him one last chance to star in his most recognized role. If you are a fan of the franchise, this is one worth watching just to see him at it one final time. http://latetothegame.blog/2019/04/04/key-movies-of-my-life-james-bond-edition-never-say-never-again-1983
This is one of Roger Moore's finest attempts at James Bond. He seems to have found a solid balance between the campy one liners and the action needed to make this character his own. Sadly, it would be his second to last performance as the British Agent soon giving way to a new actor to take the reigns. http://latetothegame.blog/2019/03/28/key-movies-of-my-life-james-bond-edition-octopussy-1983
