I heard a lot of stuff about this moving sucking really hard, so I was very surprised when it didn't. Nothing compares to the first 2, but it was funny and the graphics were good.

Free State of Jones

I am a history nut so I am very surprised I hadn't heard about this. I love Matthew and once again he made a character totally believable. Great story

A sad statement on those in power who ignored the pleas for help.

London Has Fallen

good movie, lots of action

6 Souls
6 Souls(2013)

I don't care what the professional critics say, this was a good supernatural thriller.

The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete
½

This was a sad movie and too often true.

Splice
Splice(2010)

This was a very good movie and "different" than others you might see. I liked it a lot.

The Last Witch Hunter

not bad at all, lots of action

The Boy
The Boy(2016)

It wasn't a bad movie and I wasn't expecting what was going on really.

10 Cloverfield Lane
½

We all liked this movie a lot.

Krampus
Krampus(2015)

It reminded me of gremlins

The Witch
The Witch(2016)
½

It ran a bit slow, probably due to the language. It was creepy at the end, but you never get direct answers.

The Revenant
The Revenant(2015)

It was a really good movie, and Leo did his usual great job. I spent most of the movie thinking about how hard it must have been to film.

Deadpool
Deadpool(2016)

very funny movie. I expected to not like all the language, but I really didn't notice it. Some clever lines, you have to pay attention to everything.

Killing Season
½

Very good movie about the lasting effects of war. I caught one blooper when Travolta called De Niro's grandson his nephew.

Room

The Visit(2015)

very good movie with a good twist

Child 44
Child 44(2015)
½

Very very good movie. Stalin was quite a piece of work, review the historical background on this film

Clash of the Empires

I would have to say this is one of the worst movies EVER. Bad acting, cheesy effects, and what sealed it was a "native" with a distinct thick southern accent.

Playing for Keeps

pretty good movie...not really heart tugging but good

Seven Psychopaths

The afterlife? It's all gray and sh** lol I love Sam Rockwell as a nut, Christopher Walken as a space cadet, Woody is always brilliant, and Collin. good movie

Magic Mike XXL

Not as good as the first but some good dancing

The Five-Year Engagement

Cute movie with some quirky friends

The Lucky One
½

It takes a pretty good love story to get me interested, and this was good.

The Surface
The Surface(2015)
½

A very sad story that works into a great outcome for all.

Woman in Gold
½

I like this kind of movie and this did not disappoint. I love Helen

Air
Air(2015)
½

I had high hopes for this movie, but it really made no sense. You got no back story so the behaviors made no sense.

The Houses October Built

About your average shaky cam movie, just a new back story. Not bad.

Fast & Furious 6

A good driving action movie albeit the stunts were more than a tad out there. The tribute to Paul was nice.

The Poltergeist of Borley Forest

The dialogue was horrible, filming looked cheap, and special effects sucked. Couldn't finish it

Due Date
Due Date(2010)
½

There were only a couple of minimally funny spots. For the most part, Robert Downey looked pained.

The Crazies
The Crazies(2010)

This is a really good movie but of course has violence.

Unfriended
Unfriended(2015)
½

this was actually a good movie using social media as a way to get revenge, but not how you'd think

Margaret
Margaret(2011)
½

One of the longest movies ever made about the biggest spoiled brat ever born.

The Bad Seed
The Bad Seed(1956)

I love old black and white movies and now that I'm older I can see the edginess in them. This film was no exception. It took on dark subject matter and had a wonderful ending.

Unfinished Business
½

it wasn't a great movie but it wasn't bad, some funny moments

Infini
Infini(2015)
½

This was a clever and unnerving space movie that was well done.

Girl, Interrupted

I can't even count how many times I've seen this movie. It's a great representation about teenage angst.

Run All Night
½

I've yet to see a movie of his that sucks...this one does not disappoint.

Memorial Day
Memorial Day(2012)
½

A very moving story about our soldiers old and young, and their demons.

House of Sand and Fog

this is the most tragic and sad movie I've seen in ages

The Forger
The Forger(2015)

I'm not a Travolta fan and tend to focus on the bad toupe that sticks out in the back, but the movie was pretty good. It was predictable but deserved better than 6% from professional critics.

The Boy Next Door

I like her, she's a good actress, and this was a good movie.

Survivor
Survivor(2015)

I liked this movie, it flows quickly from beginning to end.

The Nephew
The Nephew(1999)

One of my favorite movies, makes you want to move there and not look back.

Terminator Genisys

I can't believe the critics didn't like this. When stuff is blowing up and Arnold is involved, I don't want to see long meaningful conversations. I enjoyed the heck out of it and thought of my son who passed, he would have loved it.

Heavenly Creatures

The movie is just as bizarre as the minds of these two killers

The Paperboy
The Paperboy(2012)
½

This was a very dark movie with some twists that seemed unnecessary to the story. John Cusack was brilliant as the creepy con.

Bernie
Bernie(2012)
½

I am NOT a huge Jack Black fan, but this movie had me chuckling. When Matthew said "LAS MIZER-ABLES" I laughed out loud. Extremely funny and having the real interviews just made it for me.

The Hunter
The Hunter(2012)

good movie but I hated the end

Evening
Evening(2007)
½

for all you girls who ever wanted a do-over

The Retrieval
½

I can't believe this movie didn't get more attention. It was very gripping and made you hold out hope until the end. One of the best films I've seen Oberst in. The little boy was amazing.

Fertile Ground

I didn't think the opening boob scene was necessary as it was pretty well made, albeit predictable.

The Task
The Task(2011)
½

what do you get when you cross public greed for more realistic reality shows and stories of haunted prisons? Interesting stuff...that's what you get.

Larva
Larva(2005)

Not bad for a cheaply done and very dramatic movie. The most horrendous thing was the phone ringing from finish to end

Babies
Babies(2010)
½

this documentary follows 4 babies from 4 countries and shows the different lifestyles ranging from gross (African mother wiping the babies bottom on her leg) to the absurd, American mother taking infant to exercise classes.

Lost River
Lost River(2015)

the only thing I can say is "huh?" Makes you wonder if he smoked weed while writing it

Jurassic World
½

The dinosaurs were amazing and quite scary. The acting left a little to be desired. I thought Bryce's character was entirely too stuffy to the point of not being real. Chris's character was funny. They could have left out the plot to steal eggs, not necessary. The two kids made it.

The Gravedancers
½

I am a horror movie freak and it takes a lot to impress me and/or creep me out but this one did it. Good old fashioned cemetery, curses, critters that float...it has it all.

Sanatorium
Sanatorium(2013)
½

We all know the premise of these "real time" movies, but they did a really good job with this one. The setting was creepy and based around actual places that existed. A good movie for a stormy night.

The Pyramid
The Pyramid(2014)

I don't know why it rated so low. Some of the dialogue was a little forced but it was an idea I haven't seen before put to film.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

this was an incredibly dark movie and extremely strange....I came away feeling like I needed a bath.

The Returned
The Returned(2014)

I thought this would be another walking dead knockoff but it really wasn't. It was predictable, but a good movie.

Still Alice
Still Alice(2015)

Whether memory loss is from Alzheimer's or other causes, it's miserable. You can laugh about it, laugh it off, but it is painful. Family members can get frustrated as you try to regain who you were. The intelligence remains, but to be able to use it is lost. Great movie.

Life After Beth
½

Not an award winner but it was pretty cute. The part that made me giggle was the jazz....

Selma
Selma(2015)
½

It's mind boggling to see what went on back then. I never saw it directly, and being out of state back then is like being on another planet now. It boggles the mind how somebody can look at another person and say you can't drink or eat here, worship here, vote here, live here. Dr. King was an amazing man, and I wish we had leadership for our young people now like him.

The Voices
The Voices(2015)
½

I have to say this is the strangest thing I've ever seen...when a movie ends and makes you say "WTH"......you know it was strange.

Unbroken
Unbroken(2014)
½

It boggles me why this film was ignored by the Oscars....but then again consider the content. Had it been some hap-hazard story about persecution of other races I'm sure it would have won. It's an absolutely heartbreaking story. I didn't realize how brutal the Japanese were during the war, or why my grandmother in law hated them so until the day she died. I urge anybody to read the story online and read about his tormentor, and how he refused to meet with him after the war and make any attempt to make amends or accept the forgiveness he was given. He should have been hunt. The left-leaning youth of today are a slap in the face to these brave men and what's being allowed to happen on our soil is a disgrace.

The November Man

We enjoyed this one...it was like a Bond movie without him being Bond. He's getting older, but he still has it.

Home Sweet Hell

You know it's really bad when you feel bad for people who have more money than you ever will, but I do. Just don't.......

American Mary

Mary is a med student who is attacked by her professor, and boy does she get even. You want weird, this is weird.

Rosewater
Rosewater(2014)

I saw the interview with this journalist on John Stewart and was anxious to see this movie. It's mind boggling what happens to these people. Great movie.

The Imitation Game

I'd never heard of this story of course, and it was sad and brilliant at the same time. How do you just invent a computer? What a waste of a human life to have treated him the way he was treated because he was gay.

Interstellar
Interstellar(2014)
½

It was much better than gravity. It had it's moments where it was like him talking to himself in the Lincoln, but all in all was a good enough movie.

St. Vincent
St. Vincent(2014)
½

I started out thinking this would be your typical grumpy Bill Murray next door and ended up shedding a few tears. It's actually an understanding that we need to look beneath what we see and find the story, and listen to the heart

Top Five
Top Five(2014)

I like Chris Rock - but when it got to a nearly x-rated scene with him and 2 women that really had no context other than him working hard to tell a story and make it funny - turned it off. It just wasn't funny.

Birdman
Birdman(2014)

I like Michael Keaton, but we couldn't get through half an hour. It seemed disjointed and the constant drumming in the background was annoying.

Ouija
Ouija(2014)
½

It started a little slow but toward the end had a lot of creepy factor.

The Intruders
½

Not bad - not great but not bad. I paid more attention to the woodwork in the house.

Blood Ties
Blood Ties(2014)

the only thing good about this movie was the classic cars and that's pushing it

The Theory of Everything

Eddie did an amazing job!. The movie made me incredibly sad. How awful to have such a mind trapped in a useless body. It made me feel guilty for feeling bad over my own physical difficulties. The face that he kept his sense of humor is amazing to me. It boggles me that some people have such brilliant minds and some can barely tie their shoes.

Joe
Joe(2014)

Old Nick must be desperate for a check. Same old accented country back boy lets get even crap,.

Third Person
Third Person(2014)

Ok we have 3 stories in one and all 3 are disjointed. First we have Liam and his mistress who for some reason is sleeping with her father; then we have Adiran, who falls for an Italian woman who claims she needs money to free her daughter but we never find out if it's true or not; then we have Mila Kunis who may or may not be nuts.........but at any rate she spends the movie sulking over her son and misses the call when she finally can. And......by the way......both men lose children in the pool over phone calls. It leaves you with a huge question mark...........WHY?

Enemy
Enemy(2014)

I had such hopes for this one, but it was a nonsensical mess.

Under the Skin

It was so mundane and odd we couldn't finish it.

12 Years a Slave
½

The way people treat each other never ceases to amaze me. It's a sorry state of affairs and the movie documents an unforgettable time in our history.

Lee Daniels' The Butler

I gotta be real honest, I figured this was just another one of Oprah's oscar bait movies, but it surprised me. I've watched all the shows about the civil rights movement and where I grew up I never saw it, so it wasn't like it was "real." Seeing it's consequences on loved actors made it too real, often causing a tear. I understand the importance of this president getting elected as well, I just wish he would have been a better one.

The Bay
The Bay(2012)

Movie makes you wonder why this hasn't happened before.

White Bird in a Blizzard

I felt like this movie was disjointed. Even after the plot is revealed, a lot of the scenes make you wonder why they were there. I will admit I was surprised at the ending.

Gone Girl
Gone Girl(2014)

He makes good movies, what can I say. As for the wife, I won't spoil it but wow..........

Donovan's Echo
½

I love Danny Glover anyway, and he was his usual great self in this thought inspiring movie.

Get On Up
Get On Up(2014)
½

The actor who played him got on my nerves as far as his voice. I don't know if that's how James Brown talked, I wasn't a fan, but it was grating. It didn't tell a whole lot about his life, seemed to need to be longer.

Boyhood
Boyhood(2014)

I appreciate the time put into making this movie, but it seriously bored me to tears.

Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead (Dd sn 2)
½

More irreverant and gross than the first installment of the film, and every bit as funny.

Predestination
½

I figured this one out early on, which frustrates me because I don't want to all the time; but that did not diminish the awesomeness of this movie and be able to take the puzzled look off my spouses face. It made me smile.

Stephen King's A Good Marriage

This was rather different than his usual works. His writing really came out towards the end - you could tell his style. I liked it.

The Remaining

Obviously a religious movie but had some pretty good special effects. Scarier than the movie is how many "religious" people will watch it and think "that won't happen to me" (smugly).

Annabelle
Annabelle(2014)
½

First of all, who buys an ugly-*** doll and puts it in their baby's room. Second it went on so long I totally lost interest. It was just dumb. Bring back the good creepy movies like Omen.

No Good Deed
No Good Deed(2014)

Nothing new actually, nothing unnerving, just don't answer the door.

This Is Where I Leave You
½

Besides having an awesome soundtrack, this was a very good movie about family and change. Especially good when it's all you can do to NOT go out the door.

Whitney
Whitney(2015)
½

Lots of music, drugs, and sex but you didn't get any info on who she was, where she came from or anything. It was kind of like watching a 10-minute movie. She seemed to be very gullible, needy, and of course drug addicted in this movie, and actually kind of dumb.

If I Stay
If I Stay(2014)
½

It makes you wish you could start over.

The Quiet Ones
½

it was okay, but I figured it out way too early

Let's Be Cops

Not bad, I know some people who would try this..lol

Annie
Annie(2014)

I tried to watch it, but I can't stand musicals. I've never burst out in song so I don't get it. Cameron was way overboard in her bitchiness.

The Maze Runner

this movie was like one of my creepy dreams, liked it

American Sniper
½

Bradley did an amazing job and he even looked like the veteran he played. Regardless of what might have been exaggerated in the book, thank god we have these guys covering our soldier's backs. What a shame he went out like he did.

Jessabelle
Jessabelle(2014)

Pretty good creepy movie. Figured it out too soon though.

A Walk Among the Tombstones
½

I don't think it would matter if he were doing a toilet paper commercial, he'd still be badass

Transformers: Age of Extinction
½

I didn't hate it, it had all the action, but wouldn't watch it a second time.

Fury
Fury(2014)

This was one of the most intense movies I've seen. You didn't have time to catch a breath. It kept you interested enough that you don't notice how long it is.

Horns
Horns(2014)
½

I get what happened but I don't get why it was written to happen this way. Very very odd movie.

The Equalizer

To make it brief, his character was a serious badass. Always liked Denzel and he really redeemed himself after that airplane flop movie. I liked the music with this one too.

Last Vegas
Last Vegas(2013)

Some teary moments in this one, probably because it hits so close to home.

Rock Star
Rock Star(2001)

I'm a child of the hair band era so I loved it.

Come Back To Me
½

I've never seen this particular plot ever and we really really liked the twists.

What If
What If(2014)
½

My daughter and I love chick flicks so we picked this one and it was adorable. Sure makes you wish you were young again and still had the chance at finding the one.

Haunter
Haunter(2013)
½

We figured with Abagail in it we had a shot at a good movie and we were right. It was very different and she did a great job as usual.

The Echo
The Echo(2008)

Did you see/hear what you thought you did? Everybody likes a sufficiently creepy little kid, and this provides.

Reclaim
Reclaim(2014)
½

It was odd to see John in a smarmy roll but he did a good job. The movie is about something that unfortunately happens and the critics are just unreal.

The Expendables 3

It was okay, I mean what would anybody expect but a lot of shooting and fighting. I loved Antonio's bat**it crazy character.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1
½

I actually liked this better than the first movies. After you've seen the Japanese movie, the first movies seem very tame. This one was interesting and Donald Sutherland was his usual wonderfully smarmy self. Oh how I miss Philip and everybody reacted when Woody came on the screen.

A Most Wanted Man
½

Oh how I miss Philip and he doesn't disappoint in this modern terrorist thriller.

Deliver Us from Evil
½

This was not just another cheaply done horror flick, very good and creepy.

Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort

sometimes you should just stop. Generally when we see nudity in the first 5 minutes, it's an indicator of how bad it will be, and it was.

The Purge: Anarchy

The movie was pretty good, but I didn't care for how they tried to make it political.

Odd Thomas
Odd Thomas(2014)

I enjoyed this movie enough to start reading the books. It would have been a great series.

The Fault In Our Stars

I didn't cry oddly enough and figured out pretty early what was going to happen (not what you think at the beginning) but it was still a really good movie about people who die way too young.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
½

I really enjoyed this movie and the actors for the characters were perfectly chosen.

Oculus
Oculus(2014)

This is actually one of the best horror flicks I've seen in a long time. I don't like slash movies, I like the ones that make you uneasy, and this one delivered. Lots of turns and time changes and it kept you interested until the end, and even then was it the end?

Dredd
Dredd(2012)
½

Ok I like a shoot em up a lot, but not non stop throughout the entire movie shoot em up. I got bored.

Tammy
Tammy(2014)

We laughed all the way through this movie. The theater was jam packed and everybody had the best time. Love Kathy Bates too.........

Her
Her(2013)

I was so bored we couldn't even sit through it. It was like watching strangers have phone sex.

Lone Survivor

It made it too real, the faces, the families, how much I loathe our current administration who jet off to yet another holiday and shopping spree while these young men die.

Godzilla
Godzilla(2014)

Kept my interest the entire time, and all I have to say is they should have listened and stuck to coal.

Jug Face
Jug Face(2013)

We generally judge how a movie will be by how fast the boobs appear - but on this one we hung in there anyway and to be on a shoestring budget it wasn't bad. I still think the pit looked like an outhouse hole.......you'll know what I mean if you see it.

The Book Thief
½

I noticed all the critics who think the movie sucked aren't old enough to remember the war. This was a really great movie and I loved it - hated the end though.

The Monuments Men

I am flabbergasted at the reviews of this movie on Rotten Tomatoes, don't you morons get it? It's about the art and the atrocities, not about the personalities of the people who did it, they were meant to be just another group of soldiers with a purpose. It was a fantastic movie, it made you laugh and it made you cry. The scenery was beautiful, the artwork amazing, and I learned a lot about something I should have learned about years ago.

The Wolf of Wall Street
½

The language got a little old for me, but otherwise I can't believe Leonardo didn't get an award for this movie. The man can act pure and simple. The "stoned" scenes made me laugh out loud.

Noah
Noah(2014)

Going in, some lady came out and in a really hick accent said "if y'all thing it's biblical it ain't." Puhleese lady, the ark wasn't a lumbaryard hewn vehicle, people drowning didn't wave bye bye to the ark as it gently floated by, people DIED, get real. It was a very good movie with very good special effects. I heard grumbling about them not saying "G-d" - they referenced the creator many times, back then you did not say the name of G-D and many still do not.

Out of the Furnace
½

So many fantastic actors in this movie!! Also made me homesick for the mountains. Love the ending song!!

Reasonable Doubt
½

It wasn't a blockbluster, but you know when Samuel L Jackson is in it, some **** gonna go down, and it does.

American Hustle
½

Wow, what an incredibly ugly bunch of folks..lol Didn't expect the ending.

Cold Comes The Night

Brian is awesome, no matter what character he plays and I don't get the bad ratings for this movie.

Nebraska
Nebraska(2013)
½

The synopsis (brief) of the movie didn't really get into the details of what it's about. I was rather surprised. It turned out to be a heartwarming journey during which older children meet their father for the first time. I don't think a young person would "get" this movie - this movie is for people my age and up, who have lost loved ones yet hold those memories so dear, about going home where home used to be, and about misjudging somebody on first impressions. The movie touched my heart.

Big Ass Spider!

This is one of those movies where when you see the title you at first think "is this going to be nearly 2 hours I don't get back?" It has the goofy title like Pumpkinhead but turns out to be a really good movie. The Mexican security guard just makes it, he's hysterical and the rapport between him and the main character is great. You have to listen close or you'll miss the off the cuff statements. I can't complain about the graphics either, they were pretty darned good, better than I was expecting. I also had at least one "oh hell no" moment as I hate spiders no matter what size. Yechhhh.....

Captain Phillips
½

I'm actually surprised I liked it as much as I did. It had it's nail biting moments and he did a wonderful job being scared ****less. Oh, you will notice the same music as in batman.

Carrie
Carrie(2013)

Prefer the original in most aspects, but I do have to say the end of this one was MUCH creepier, and Chloe did a great job.

The Lady in Number 6

When I saw about this movie in a website, I ordered it. What a delightful, wonderful woman! Her only complaint after all she went through is how people aren't happy enough. How dare any of us have a bad day when someone who lived her life still has a ready smile.

Life of Pi
Life of Pi(2012)

I had no preconceptions because I didn't read about it, but saw all the awards it got and was curious. I expected it to be animated actually. I was extremely surprised at how good this movie was and yes, it made me cry. What a brilliant story.

Ender's Game
Ender's Game(2013)
½

I didn't expect to like it all that much but I did, we actually wished we'd seen it on the big screen, gorgeous graphics!

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa
½

Not an oscar winner, but some funny moments. The kid was great. Be sure to watch after the credits.

Haunting Of The Innocent

Even with the obvious editing errors, this movie was enjoyable and had one of the most intense beginnings I've seen. Good movie to check your surround sound as well.

Loved this mini series. Related to both by marriage and from just north of where it all took place, it gave a better understanding of all the stories. I love the haunting song "I know these hills" as well.

One of my fav movies of all time, watch at least once a year. The actors in their given parts were perfect. One of my fav parts is when the little boy says "it's gone rain on yo head." Love love love.

To be honest, figured this was another oscar bait movie, but it surprised me. I've seen the civil rights shows but never saw it, so it wasn't like it was "real." Seeing it here made it real, very often causing huge lumps in my throat, especially the scene in the diner bothered me. You'd think we'd have learned something from the holocaust. Now I would like to see the young people of today enjoy the freedoms they have been given and be an example.

An extremely heartwarming story. Sadly too many parents of these children say "why me" and are embarassed by them and don't enjoy their gifts and spirit. I raised a sight impaired child and my thought was always thank you lord for letting me love this child.

Facing Windows

This was a very very good movie and the music was beautiful. Let's start with an old man with a tattoo on his arm, his past and the woman he meets who becomes part of his future, and throw in forbidden love, you get a fantastic plot.

Crime After Crime

It's no wonder so many young people hate upper class people in charge and distrust them. This is one of the more shameful things I have ever seen done to a poor person of any race, but so often poor black people get the shaft. This show was infuriating and heartbreaking at the same time, and bless those attorneys who help these people get the justice they so deserve.

Doctor Zhivago

Elysium(2013)

It was a good movie, Matt was great, but the undertones were very obvious. Everybody on the station was pearly white and wealthy with healthcare, everybody on earth, 99%, were people of color and people considered illegals anyway. That ruined the plot for me.

Pacific Rim(2013)

I really liked this movie, a lot.....it reminded me of Voltron which reminded me of my son who passed away and how much he would have liked it. We didn't notice a single curse word in the entire movie, and one wasn't necessary. LOVE the little guy from Horrible Bosses and Ron Perlman.

JSA: Joint Security Area (Gongdong gyeongbi guyeok JSA)

Really fantastic movie............so sad though......lets you see how ridiculous the world is and it's not the people, it's those in charge.

The Host
The Host(2013)

Blue contacts do not an alien make and please please why didn't you people let her starve when she wanted to? I would rather chew off my own face that have to watch anything so incredibly boring again.

White House Down

My son was not a Tatum fan but is now. Both spouse and son said they worked very well off each other and there were great explosions (my kinda movie).

State of Emergency

I think there are no ratings because nobody bothered to sit down and watch it. It was done well and creepy enough with good characters.

Warm Bodies

World War Z
World War Z(2013)

Side Effects
Side Effects(2013)

Seance: The Summoning

This wasn't a bad movie, not cheaply made or looking like it was filmed with an 8 mm camera.

K-11
K-11(2013)

It was a strange movie to say the least, mainly because the plot was a little or a lot weird. I can't even explain the weirdness, it was over the top weird.

Identity Thief

I love both of them and think both are hysterical and the pairing was perfect. We laughed all the way through and I don't know how they kept a straight face. The critics need to put out an ABP on their rear ends.

Office Killer

A girl can only take so much, then it becomes bizarre.

Cloud Atlas
Cloud Atlas(2012)

The best comedy of the year, IF you are a serious cocaine addict with a hideous movie fetish. We spent the entire movie with a question mark over our heads. I now know the lowest level of hell would be watching this movie followed by Battlefield Earth.

Nailbiter
Nailbiter(2012)

I really expected this to be cheesy but it wasn't at all. Not bad.

The Pit and the Pendulum

Lots of big names in this movie if you can spot them. What makes it creepy is it went on back in the day. Gotta love those wacky inquisitionists.

Norman
Norman(2011)

I liked this movie and understand why he did what he did.

Anna Karenina

Only thought was why are bad movies so long?

The Guilt Trip

Only thought was "oh my God I'm a Jewish mother."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2
½

I don't know why everybody hates these movies, seriously. I liked them all.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

I wasn't expecting much but I was extremely surprised. I think this film voices much of what we think and feel inside and the uncertainty as we age. Very well done and very lovable characters.

The Orphanage

Good creepy movie, love foreign language films!

Zero Dark Thirty
½

I like this type of movie, but this 9 hour drone made me insane (that's how long it seemed). I do NOT understand how Jessica won for anything, all she did the entire movie was look pained with very few lines.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

The movie had quite a few laughs in it, and I never thought I'd say it, but Jim looked more manly than I've ever seen him, and buff!!

Mama
Mama(2013)

Right before the movie started a big group of teenagers sat in front of us taking up 3 rows, one dressed as Batman, one with a burger king helmet, one with the Hulks hands..lol When the movie got going everybody in the packed theater younger than 40 talked to the screen and it was too funny, great group to watch a movie with. Brian actually yelled "ahhhh" 2 times, really unusual for him and his friend said "oh s***"" repeatedly. Pretty good movie.

Frankenweenie

Argo
Argo(2012)

FANTASTIC!! We saw it at the discount theater and it was packed, but when it got started it was dead quiet. I had to remind myself to breathe and I remember when it was going on! People were so involved you heard gasps and they clapped at the end. Don't rush out, ending scenes worth waiting for. I can't imagine why he didn't get Oscar buzz. This was back with our government had cajones.

It made my chest hurt................I'm not supposed to watch anything that can scare me but I can't help it.

The Last Samurai

Here was another I saw but totally forgot (good part of brain damage). These kind of movies made me sad, and it makes you wonder who the barbarians are. As an end not, Tom looked HOT with long hair and a beard. haha

Battle: Los Angeles

Saw this when it was new, but with my memory loss forgot and watched it again. I liked it, non-stop action all the way through.

Hope Springs
Hope Springs(2012)

It's has never happened before that a movie with either wasn't all that great to me. This was one of those that just wasn't in his league, I don't like him all mushy. The best line from the whole movie was when she said "sometimes I feel like I'd be less lonely alone."

Beasts of the Southern Wild
½

I think to fully understand this movie you would have had to live on the gulf and understand the people there; these people are just like the isolated mountain people, fiercely independent and loving their land. The little girl was amazing.

Django Unchained

I will be the first to admit Tarantino does some odd stuff, but I absolutely loved this movie and was surprised at how good the humor is that was thrown in, plus good kick-ass action. Samuel L is always the same, different makeup, same dude. We loved this movie. Even though it's been out awhile here, the theater was packed and people really laughed and talked and enjoyed it.

Rock of Ages
Rock of Ages(2012)

The movie was dumb, the music great. Ok is there anything Tom Cruise can't do (besides pick a religion)? His voice and range was amazing for somebody who taught himself how to sing, I liked the other guys voice too, but Juli stick to dancing please, my ears bled......

Identity
Identity(2003)

I can't believe this movie is from 2003 and we haven't seen it. It was just packed with people who make you say "I know him/her" and at the end you just plain feel like you've seen a damned good movie.

The Possession

Nothing creepier than a child, and this child was GOOD..............If you don't know the story on the box, read up on it.

The Expendables 2
½

It was okay but way too much plastic surgery going around.

Resident Evil: Retribution

It was fair I guess, but that's about it.

Finding Neverland

Saw this movie when it came out but forgot it due to memory loss so watched it again and again it made me cry. The optimal movie for anyone who has ever lost anybody close. Have tissues ready.

Ted
Ted(2012)

Well that's 4 hours I won't get back, and yes it seemed that long. I'm disappointed Mark Wahlberg would lower himself to be in a train wreck like this. There was no reason for the bear to be so filthy mouthed and it just wasn't funny. I would rather sit through a 3 stooges marathon and I hate them.

The Haunting Of Whaley House

We didn't know about this movie until the lady in it sent the movie to Bob. It was a pretty good creepy movie once you get past the obligatory set of boobs. Love the creepy chanting in the background.

Europa Europa

This movie was like the Forest Gump of foreign films, only true. Great movie.

Red Lights
Red Lights(2012)
½

I liked this movie a lot and liked the ending and the best part is I didn't expect it and I usually figure out all movies.

The Pact
The Pact(2012)

I liked this movie a lot, good plot, kept you wondering until the end.

Skyfall
Skyfall(2012)

Awesome! I love this Bond and didn't get interested in the series until he came along. I also LOVE Javier, nobody plays bat**** nuts like he does. Then my man came on the screen and I couldn't help but say "I freakin' love Albert Finney!" The theater was absolutely packed and we didn't think it would be after this long.

Men in Black III
½

I enjoyed this movie, not as many critters as in the first one but definitely a good movie.

Brave
Brave(2012)

I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this movie, including the music.

Lincoln
Lincoln(2012)

I wish it were possible to give more stars, I seriously do. This by far was one of the best movies I've ever seen. It wasn't Daniel Day Lewis playing Lincoln, he WAS Lincoln, the mannerisms, the height, the gait, amazing. The cast was perfect. Tommy Lee Jones was his usual awesome self. I hoped they would skip the end, but it was a necessary scene, heartbreaking, but necessary. I wish people would learn from this movie and stop taking freedom for granted and learn what was involved and at stake.

The Raven
The Raven(2012)
½

I liked this movie, the premise was good and it kept you interested.

Ginger Snaps Back - The Beginning

It's really surprising how well made and how good this series of movies is.

Ginger Snaps
Ginger Snaps(2001)

I was really surprised, by the name I expected it to be another dumb slasher movie, far from it.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I tried to like this movie in a spoof kind of way, but couldn't even do that. The premise made absolutely no sense and everybody you'd expect the northerners not to like were bad guys. Bored to tears actually. I got more of a kick out of Lincoln, Zombie Slayer.

Silent Hill: Revelation

We have waited SIX LONG YEARS for this sequel and I feel like I have been violated. 1) Why didn't they use the same Alessa? She's the same age. 2) If there was a plot, they forgot to tell you. 3) Where were the sirens, the cool critters? 4) Was there a climax to the movie? It must have been while I was napping. The previews of upcoming movies were better than the movie itself.

2016: Obama's America

This movie brings to light what a huge amount of America has already figured out and if you see these signs and understand what's happening, you won't sleep well again, ever.

The Cabin in the Woods

I had an idea of what was going on early on in the film and then my gamer son filled in the rest. You really have to freeze frame the end to see what all is there (won't spoil it). Not bad at all.

Battleship
Battleship(2012)

On reading some of the reviews, I wonder if they even saw the same movie, and what did they expect. Loved the burrito part. I didn't see any enemy bonding or any of that the critics mentioned, what I did see were some pretty darn good graphics and the surround had the walls vibrating. I liked the movie.

The Revenant
The Revenant(2012)

Think smart zombies combined with Boondock Saints. It had several very funny parts to it surprisingly and was well made. Bloody of course, and you kinda feel bad for the main character. As an added note, I mentioned to my spouse one appeared to be throwing up blood and VERY matter of fact he gave me this condescending nod and very snarkily said "he couldn't, he was embalmed." I said "you do know we're talking about a zombie movie, right?"

Snow White and the Huntsman

I have never read the book so I didn't know what to expect, but boy I hope no parents took little kids to see this, there would be nightmares for a week!

Machine Gun Preacher

I don't think the movie quite had time to develop, it flew through the first 15 minutes and I nearly turned it off but hung in there and I'm glad I did. This story is about something that has been going on for a very long time and the UN does nothing, no other country does anything, probably because the powers that be don't feel there's anything we need there, but there is, we need to for once do something right and help these children. There before the grace of God go I........ To donate, go to this site: http://www.machinegunpreacher.org/

The Reef
The Reef(2010)

Really good movie. No campy special effects, just the natural fear we have of being in a situation like this.

Apocalypse Now

One of my fav movies of all time.

Piranha 3-D
Piranha 3-D(2010)
½

The special effects in this movie actually were very very good.

Silenced
Silenced(2011)

This movie about abuse of deaf children overseas may seem like some horrible thing that can't happen here, but it does. My daughter went to several schools for the blind the unfortunately most are warehouses for children parents neither want or check up on, so employees can do as they will.

A Separation
A Separation(2011)

This was an absolutely wonderful movie. Even with subtitles, you could "hear" the anguish and understood everything that was going on.

Silent House
Silent House(2012)
½

The movie seemed awful short and really didn't go anywhere, just boom and you're at the end. Elizabeth Olsen is turning out to be a much better actress than her sisters and the writing certainly wasn't her fault.

Megan Is Missing

Every young girl on the net and parents who let their children on the net should see this movie. I caught my daughter at age 13 talking to a guy online who turned out to be 38 years old and from South Carolina. Reported all I could find about him but nothing, guess it wasn't a big enough deal back then, but there before the grace of god..........

Arachnid
Arachnid(2001)

when you turn it off in 5 minutes, that should give you an idea

The Grey
The Grey(2012)

Liam is awesome as usual but there's a part I hated, and you will too

A Nightmare on Elm Street
½

Okay I guess but I miss the original Freddy

The New Daughter

I liked this movie, it was sufficiently creepy for an overcast dismal day.

The Hangover
The Hangover(2009)
½

lots of giggles.....reminds me of the old days.....

Downfall (Der Untergang)

One of the best movies I've seen. It focuses exclusively on the German side but you can still feel the tragedy that fell on 50 million people and the ridiculous loss of lives. I also liked how it showed Hitler's physical decline, something no other movie I've seen has done.

Nazis at the Center of the Earth
½

Nazi's have been scheming and practicing how to survive in their own world under Alaska (where else right?) and trying to bring Hitler back to life. Add half zombies, ray guns (no kidding), an abortion with a shop vac, and Hitler's head made part of a transformer and you have a movie, seriously. It is meant to be a serious movie and they didn't cut corners on effects or equipment and the acting is good for the content, but what kind of crack was somebody on who thought of this?

Piranhaconda
Piranhaconda(2011)

I can't imagine making this movie even if desperate for a paycheck.......and I can't imagine anybody got paid more than 50.00. Unbelievably stupid.

White Lightnin'

I would have to say this is one of the best movies I've seen in a very very long time and not because he's related, because he is very convincing at being absolutely bats**t crazy. The sound track was equally disturbing and I hope to see more of Ed Hogg. Wow...........

Abraham Lincoln Vs. Zombies
½

This movie wasn't bad like I expected and not particularly cheesy. It had some good laughs and Abe was bad ass.

The Fields
The Fields(2011)

I watched this movie and came away with WTF???????? I have no clue, it was stupid, dumb, ignorant, and all the other adjectives you can think of.

Wrecked
Wrecked(2011)

This was a good movie, it must be hard for an actor to carry a movie alone. Supposedly set around Pikeville so of course filmed in British Columbia

The Hunger Games
½

It was an okay movie, I was surprised there wasn't more competition and fighting. The Japanese version that is written this originates from is much more intense than this movie. Love Woody Harrelson, he's always good in anything he's in. We all actually had more fun laughing at some pretty interesting characters in the theater.

Gone
Gone(2012)

Liked this movie, definite see for anybody who has ever been a victim.

Man on a Ledge

This movie was hold-your-breath waiting for the next scene great!!!

The Woman in Black

Daniel is just a plain damned good actor, and this movie did not disappoint.

Wake Wood
Wake Wood(2009)

This was a really good creepy movie, hope they make part 2!

Albert Nobbs
Albert Nobbs(2012)

This movie was fantastic, one of the best I've seen in a long time. If you are homophobic, don't watch it.

The Innkeepers

It wasn't poorly made but BORING..........nothing happened and what little did looked done by children.

True Crime
True Crime(1999)

I loved it! It made me laugh and be sad, and Clint was his usual awesome self.

The Devil Inside
½

I didn't know it was another shaky "reality" movie. It did have the people who move creepy and just "ain't right" and did have one part I hid my eyes to, but other than that, nothing remarkable.

Dark Shadows
Dark Shadows(2012)

I'll tell you about Dark Shadows. I was a huge fan of the original, I don't think my son and his fiancee' have ever seen it. Bob loves it too. They did a great job with this one, they couldn't let it drone on like the series, but Depp stayed true to Barnabus' stoic character. The funny parts were just great, the scary parts were creepy, it was a good mix and we all had some great laughs. I liked it, I wasn't sure I would but I did, and we all did. The guy who played Quinton in the origin is in it, if you see it, watch the party guests coming through the door, you'll see him. When I was a little kid, I so wanted to be Josette

Mother's Day
Mother's Day(2012)
½

This was actually a very good movie.

The Lucky Ones

I'm a Tim Robbins fan anyway, but the rest of the cast was great too. I enjoyed this movie.

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

Tom Hanks never ceases to amaze me. Sandra played a surprisingly small role. Thomas Horn was absolutely fantastic. I was surprised to see who the "renter" was.

Camel Spiders
½

Well..hmmm...the spider graphics weren't bad, they all made noise just like the spiders of our youth, and these were really pissed off. Not too cheesy, somebody really young who likes a critter movie might like it. It was forgettable.

Seven Below
Seven Below(2012)

Ving Rhames was about as credible as the bad guy as I would be a ballerina. Val Kilmer was ridiculous, starting out as an absolute jerk (no reason ever given for this) and quickly becoming a blubbering idiot. The name didn't even make sense. Oh well, I guess at least they got a paycheck.

Carnage
Carnage(2011)
½

It seemed more like Woody Allen than Roman Polanski - mostly lots of talking.

In the Land of Blood and Honey
½

I think the ratings were lower on this movie because so many young people don't even have a clue about the endless war over there. I was surprised Angelina wrote, directed and produced this genre, that's usually left for men. It was a good movie.

Melancholia
Melancholia(2011)

It made me sad and depressed I rented it......I think.

The Descendants
½

It was okay but having Clooney play a father is like having me play an anorexic, it doesn't work and it was too predictable.

The Iron Lady
½

It was okay in a schizophrenic kind of way.

The Darkest Hour
½

I had big hopes for this movie but unfortunately it didn't deliver.

My Week with Marilyn

I love Michelle Williams and she did a beautiful job. You could tell they had to pad her pixie little body for this film.

Titanic
Titanic(1997)

I've seen this movie at least 15 times but was as much in awe as the new generation seeing it for the first time. The 3D effects were glaring like some cheap made movies, they were subtle enough to be noticeable but in a very good way. At the end you could hear sobs throughout the theater, including me.

Cowboys & Aliens

well that's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.............I believe I'd rather watch a cow take a crap

The Adventures of Tintin
½

Good movie! Loved the attention to detail such as the blood veins in the captain's arms!

The Three Musketeers

I liked this movie! I had enough action to keep you interested, comedy, great costumes and scenery, and of course love Milla. She looked as out of place in the Victorian gown as I would in a tutu.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon
½

I think all the male critics are giving this movie bad ratings because they don't want to admit they saw it and it was good. I liked it.

The Skin I Live In

This movie was STUPID STUPID STUPID x INFINITY, I thought it would be about some remarkable breakthrough in burn technology and instead it was a nonsensical movie about as stupid as Caligula.

Beneath The Darkness

This movie was not bad enough to merit 5%. Dennis was good being creepy.

Take Shelter
Take Shelter(2011)

This movie was LONGGGGGGGG and never really developed, just left you with a question mark.

Darkening Sky

Think Donnie Darko only darker, with aliens.

Sarah's Key
Sarah's Key(2011)

This was a very good movie.

Good Neighbors

Not too bad, a "whodunit" that seriously leaves you guessing.

The Double
The Double(2011)

Love Richard Gere. The movie was okay, but I had the bad guy figured out in the first 15 minutes......that makes me lose interest real quick.

Fireflies in the Garden
½

There were a lot of great people in this movie, but it was just a waste of film. No real character development and no outcome to all the chaos.

Paranormal Activity 3

The first two stunk. We decided to watch this one just on a whim and wow, what a difference. One part made us both jump out of our skin and I spent the rest of the time talking to the TV.

Moneyball
Moneyball(2011)

This is the first 5 I've given a movie in years....this movie was fantastic. I loved baseball back when it was played for the game, not who the gazillionaires are on the field. As an aside, I want to know where they got the office chair Brad was sitting in in the office with Jonah..lol I love Philip Seymour Hoffman!

The Ides of March

This movie sheds some light into the reality of politics and what the politicians say. Good to see Clooney is a less than *nice* role and Ryan is great as usual. I like the end on this one........

Another Earth
½

This was an interesting movie, but I think it's rated high on here because nobody can figure out the damned ending and nobody wants to admit it.

The Undying
The Undying(2009)

Not too bad, about a reincarnated civil war soldier. Not cheap made.

The Guard
The Guard(2011)

We really tried to watch this but absolutely could not keep interest. It just went on for way too long and just nothing going on worth watching.

Contagion
Contagion(2011)

This was really good and goes back to the 7 degrees of separation. Scary stuff.

Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark

This was actually a pretty good movie. Bailee was a great little actress and she looks nearly exactly like Katie Holmes actual daughter.

Super 8
Super 8(2011)

This was a pretty good movie surprisingly..Elle sure looks like her sister Dakota, albeit way slimmer. Reminded me of another movie I won't mention here and give the plot away. The wreck scene would have been awesome if I could have cranked up the surround.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
½

I didn't like the other movies much, but this was good. A little slow in places.

Final Destination 5

I liked it, but I liked the other 4. It was clever enough to make you look away from the screen and say "oh s***" and cringe a couple of times, and the end was very clever.

Priest
Priest(2011)
½

This was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time! Not your gorgeous, "shiny", lovable vampires by any means.

No Strings Attached

This was actually a really cute girly movie

I Love You Phillip Morris
½

At first I thought it was kind of dumb.......but the end made it all worth it. The kids were nearly teary eyed, can't tell you the rest but it was great.

Hereafter
Hereafter(2010)
½

It had a couple of touching moments but overall extremely slowwwwwww

Love and Other Drugs
½

It was nothing to jump up and down about, had a couple of cute moments. You go away with the feeling they put all the sex scenes in to fill up time though.

Tron Legacy
Tron Legacy(2010)
½

I love Jeff Bridges to death and all those around me just thought it was the greatest movie since hot butter........all I have to say is it was blue......lots of blue.

Little Fockers

This movie was so forced and so cliche, I felt bad for the actors.

Black Swan
Black Swan(2010)

I thought this would be a movie about competitiveness, no, she was absolutely bat***t crazy, nutso, over the edge. What a damanding role!!

Up
Up(2009)
½

What a morbid, depressing movie!!! Showing a little child this movie is nearly child abuse.

The Tourist
The Tourist(2010)

It was kind of slow compared to other movies each has been in. He looked amazing as usual. It did have a good ending.

Skyline
Skyline(2010)
½

Not much, if at all, better than a made-for-TV movie. The end sucked worse than the "Last Exorcism."

Paranormal Activity 2
½

They wanted to extend the suck that was paranormal activity 1.

Parasomnia
Parasomnia(2008)

Actually not bad at all, plus the music was catchy, sounded like something Blue Man Group would do.

Red

Absolutely loved it, Bruce still has it and they were all great together.

Grown Ups
Grown Ups(2010)

This was actually much better than I even thought. There were several laugh-out-loud moments and we loved it.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Would somebody tickle that miserable girl or something?

Salt
Salt(2010)

She might be a nut, but she's a good-to-watch nut

Alice in Wonderland

Loved Johnny as usual, the rest was okay

Case 39
Case 39(2010)

Devil

This movie wasn't bad at all, not the flop everybody said it was.
