Not that bad, still worth a shot
Bugsy Malone is a musical gangster film offering humorous gags and some truly nice songs that can really stick in your head for long while, especially the last one. It features a talented cast where all of them are children, and every one best fits to his role, especially John Cassisi and Jodie Foster. In this film, a bloodbath is made out of custard, mobsters shoot creme not bullets, and a guy gets executed with splurge, so how you can't love a movie like this?
Provoking mystery and a haunting atmosphere from its very beginning, The Hateful Eight delivers everything you would expect from a Quentin Tarantino film: action, ultra-violence, blood splattering, dark humor, and Samuel L. Jackson.
The Gallows is a dull "lost footage" horror flick that doesn't add anything new to the genre and makes you want to vomit over it's shaky footage.
Jolene is a set of accidental events wrapped all together, where the main character Jolene, always hooks up with the wrong guy. What I remember is that Jolene's first husband, Mickey, cries on their first night together, simply because he was so happy that he finally found Jolene. That is real love you've got there, but how does she repays him? By having sex with his uncle that she have only known for two days, and she seems to enjoy it without any sign of rejection or disapproval. After that, the film turns to a series of unconnected events, where each time Jolene has a new love interest but turns out to be another wrong man. Anyhow, the film does have a talented cast and features good performances, especially from Jessica Chastain who was the only reason for me watching the film.
