Ocean's 11 is easily one of the most rewatchable films ever made. It's a great film too. Even the sequels, especially the second, have emerged as great pieces of entertainment cinema in their own right. Ocean's 8, however, fails to live up to its predecessors, a bland affair lacking Soderbergh's unmistakably cool touch. The film drags, its hardly compelling and underperformed, even by the biggest female stars on the planet. Even the heist is lazily assembled and executed, a snooze most of the time. It's poorly written, pays little attention to detail and plot holes. If it doesn't care that much, why should I? Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter MVPs.
Cute, every now and then shining thanks to the charisma of the leads, but ultimately a mess glorifying workplace abuse and settling for subpar relationships.
A It Happened One Night for the 80's generation. It still holds up in many regards, and John Cusack shows here just the extent of his leading man magnetism. He's endlessly watchable.
You know Cable's device go back in time? I wish I had it to prevent my naive self from watching this horrible movie. Just kidding... it wasn't that bad. But It kinda was. Still love you Ryan Reynolds.
