Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Galactic Goodness.. I have no complaints or any qualms at all. This sequel was A BEAUTIFUL, HIGH, NEUROTIC MESS. Most of the soundtrack is composed of my favorite retro tracks ( that everyone used to find it weird that I listened to them years ago back in med school.)
The characterization for ALL the characters are perfect.
The VISUALS ..goddamn just watch it in IMAX 3D for heavens sake. And the friggin cast! Kurt Russel? SYLVESTER STALLONE?? GOLDEN.

The Fate of the Furious

One thing that this franchise promises is that the action always levels up with each sequel; and it does so in Fast 8 with magnificence. With a main course of ridiculous whacked out action, the base plot of this entry shows us a very vulnerable side of Toretto, but the real stars disguised as side-dishes are Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson's duo, Deckard and Hobbs, who deliver badass duo chemistry. Seriously these dudes need their own movie!

Saban's Power Rangers

I'm going to review this film as both a die-hard fan and as a casual movie goer. The movie delivers the franchise in a new-gen manner, connecting to newer audiences and it does it nicely without feeling like other superhero movies. Though the movie had a slightly jarring transition style( from a Breakfast Club feel, jumping to a Chronicle phase and finally jumping into a last minute action filled Power Ranger phase) I as casual movie goer enjoyed it. The characters delivered heart in style.
As a die-hard fan though, watching all the series throughout the years, I felt that the movie was still shying away from the "Ranger" concept since the suits, zords etc had less screen time. Even the last act felt slightly anti-climatic "power ranger-wise". Nevertheless Im proud they're back in style and ready to Morph in a new and bold way.

Kong: Skull Island

Im more of a Godzilla guy in terms of giant kaiju franchises but Skull Island gave us a pretty mean yet hearty King Kong. The visuals are STUNNING and the action is pumped, vicious and raw, The story is cliche at best but it did its job of being a FUN flick. Plus points that secret ending after the credits...

Logan (2017)

NON-Spoiler Short Review, Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart deliver their most poetic, heart warming, tear jerking performance as they bow their way out of the movie saga we have been watching for almost 17 years. Wolverine goes BERSERK with VIOLENT RAGE unlike anything we have seen before in the past and I promise you will be hooked on the vengeful action, beautiful plot between Logan, Xavier and Laura and finally CRY you're way out of the theathre. Goodbye Hugh Jackman' and Patrick Stewart and THANK YOU for this amazing piece of ART.
