X-Men: Apocalypse

This movie is so-so. For the most part, nothing truly stands out for about two-thirds of the film. Apocalypse spends most of this time, creating costumes for his horsemen rather than do anything useful. There are a few nice nods for fans scattered throughout but, nothing too spectacular. Most series fans will be blinded by their own fanboy/girl goggles to see this for what it is. Lifeless. Boring. Dull. We need to acknowledge that these Foxmen films are terrible. Stick to First Class if you really need an X-men fix.

Alice Through the Looking Glass

2.5. Very long. Mostly lifeless/humorless. Visually stunning. Better than the first but, not by much.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

Slightly better than its predecessor but, still boring as hell.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

As a cinephile who finds a reason to love every film, I'll tell you now that I was genuinely bored. Yes, I did read the books. Yes, I did enjoy them. This movie is definitely the weakest of the series. I'm sure that Lionsgate wanted to get the "boring" things out of the way in order to set the stage for a climactic final film, like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 but, this felt like a drawn out mess. If you look forward to paying into Holloywood's grand scheme of splitting films for profit, please by all means, go. I can say that after shelling out a fair amount of cash to my local monopoly of a theater, that this night was a complete waste. The feeling of happiness that usually accompanies me out the door post-film has been replaced by an angry, stressed one. I should have taken my own advice when I skipped out on the much drawn out cash grab known as the Hobbit series and stopped seeing anything that is split into parts.

Wrath of the Titans

I loved the visuals of the previous film...and that was all. I thought I would see the same amount of quality and I was wrong. I normally will watch anything but, I was completely bored.

Marvel's The Avengers

Zero complaints. Every fanboy itch satisfied. Every character had just the right amount of screen time. 3D was the way to see it, no other way. I already paid for this on Amazon. Done.

Snow White and the Huntsman

Visually amusing but, I found some of the plot a bit lacking and what action did exist was on the verge of extinction. The ending was very lacking. For a film called Snow White and the Huntsman, they had very little interaction, conversationally that is. Most of the film was moody shots of Kirsten, I only know how to frown, Stewart looking distantly to some other far off land. Then at the end, when you believe there could be an inkling of romance between the two, she simply gives him a "what's up" kind of nod from across the room and he returns it, then leaves. Wtf?! I regret paying my two bits for this.

Smart and interesting. This flick was a little slow at times and I found one or two things to pick at. However, seeing how the xenomorph came to be was enough to satisfy my fanboy palette.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

The critics rated it poorly, the audiences rated it highly. I personally had a blast with this movie. If you intended to watch a Lincoln bio-pic, wait until December, Spielberg will not disappoint. For those with a sense of humor, watch this.

Another great film from Pixar, they've never disappointed me. Found myself a tad bored about two-thirds through but the story quickly picked itself up.

My biggest doubt of the summer however, I was completely wrong. The pacing was great, never a dull or disengaging moment, and the laughs just kept coming.

Fast & Furious

Nice attempt at a story. However, vehicles were lacking.

Superheroes for adults. It takes a decent amount of mental capacity to understand this movie and message it conveys. Adapted from one of the greatest graphic novels of all time. Watchmen shows the reality of what real superheroes would be like, and the hardships they could face. Conveying the ultimate message of: what is right or wrong and who are we to judge.

Great movie! Creepy and fun! Possibly the next movie to be worshiped by whiney emo bitches.

The Hangover
The Hangover(2009)

Perfect blend of raunchy humor and drama

Hilarious raunchy humor. I couldn't stop laughing during the entire film.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Amazing visuals, however the plot was garbage. Characters were underdeveloped or lost in the plot. Too many holes, or dropped storylines.
