The Da Vinci Code

Actually, it was better than I thought it would be. After hearing how it was panned by critics, I was not expecting much. I, however, felt that the movie moved along at a decent enough pace and provided a few moments of suspence (there were several gasps and even screams that sounded in my theater). The cast was generally forgettable, but I felt Paul Bettany and Jean Reno deserve nods. Overall, I took this movie for what it is. Much controversy has surfaced as a result of this movie, but one has to remember that it is simply a work of fiction and nothing more.

Schindler's List

Perhaps one of the most impacting films I've seen. Presents the horrifying reality with such a stark openness that it is difficult to watch certain scenes.

"I don't mind it." A bit of an understatement, I actually love this film. Dustin Hoffman delivers a superb performance that is both realistic and touching.

Memento (2000)

A really well done movie. I loved how it flashes back and forth, forcing the audience to pay attention and put the pieces together.
