Sandeep Harisankar's Movie Ratings - Rotten Tomatoes

Movie Ratings and Reviews

Hitman: Agent 47

Apart from few good stunt scenes, this is no where near as good as any franchise of games. If you're a fan of Hitman, you probably should avoid watching this. To understand my point compare the trailer between this movie and the latest Hitman 2015 game trailer, and the fact will be more evident.

PK, another golden feather on Aamir's hat. The way of narration, presentation, execution, everything was done exceptionally well even though it may gift some offences. Aamir Khan's performance reminds me of characters such as Mr Bean and Forrest Gump and the way he presented was simply stunning. This should be undoubtedly, one of the best bollywood movies of 2014.

There is so much Liam Neeson awesome sauce in this movie, definitely should not miss if you love Taken and Taken 2, though not up to par with Taken. Still its a good watch.

Machete Kills

Definitely not up to mark with the previous instalment though it manages to create some fun moments with its classy action cult formula including the cheesy gore graphics. Danny Trejo as Machete is more badass and is ready for pretty much anything. Have to agree that Robert Rodriguez' selection of cast is wise especially the villain part, and he does bring forward many characters from his previous movies and a great thing in this movie was Lady Gaga being part of it which was a surprise. When the Grindhouse series was released, there was a trailer shown for Machete which follows similar principles of it, and when it became a movie, two more goofy trailers for Machete Kills and Machete Kills Again. Now the second one has become a reality and it included another for Machete Kills Again in Space. Seems Rodriguez is planning this as a series.

Machete is an entertaining action movie pretty much like a sister of the Grindhouse series. Most characters from Grindhouse and From Dusk till Dawn reprises in this movie and most shots and sequences and color tone have their fair similarity. Actually Machete was released as a fake trailer with the Grindhouse series of Robert Rodriguez, but when it became a reality it turned out to be more fun to watch just like the Planet Terror movie has offered. And another good thing was the big names like in the cast itself.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has included all the ingredients of a Marvel Superhero classic and stands superior when compared with the prequel. It contained well shot action sequences with plot twists and a fast paced narration style which makes this movie worth just like the Avengers has been offered. I hope Marvel movies continues this pace in their future movies too, though it keeps on getting better with the recent releases.

Wrong Turn 5
Wrong Turn 5(2012)

This movie contains 80% of sex and 20% of what it used to be in the series. The plot is pretty much changed anyways, and now its the time of Halloween party and the cannibals have no problems whatsoever walking through the streets. Though many sequences looks like this movie is transformed into a comedy one, still the nasty kills and gore is offered which is why this movie series exists.

Apart from the beautiful visuals and a wonderful plot being set, I found out this movie to be terribly slow paced and lagging at various sequences for a 2hr+ movie. Though performances from Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson offered something great, but still undeniably it fails to tackle an intriguing script.

Wrong Turn 4
Wrong Turn 4(2011)

As usual the movie had everything to offer which is seen in the prequels, but the interesting thing was the plot has changed from the usual forests to abandoned hospital, and the movie itself happens inside there for the most part. A change was most welcome at this time of the series, and that's executed well. Other than that there isn't mush interesting or noteworthy twists that you could find in this movie.

The Motorcycle Diaries

This is a wonderful work of drama, a memoir and a perfectly created road movie, where the two of friends decides to have a road trip throughout South America that is travelling about 14,000 kms in a bike. Well, one could only literally dream about this, but the fact is that they've attempted this mission to explore the continent they live, to see and experience things that they've only read about it. The initial sequences were quite funny and the two lead characters performed exceptionally well throughout the movie and had developed and executed a wonderful chemistry between them. The most beautiful thing is the transformation of the characters from the start of the journey till the end, and a great mystery to be revealed at the climax. Its much inspiring if you see through the life of characters and how the journey really changed their lives.

Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead

Well, it pretty much looks like the Wrong Turn series is declining its ratings with the sequels. And in this third instalment, a group of convicts tries to escape en route to another Prison, where they fall in at prey of the cannibals. Rest is pretty much predictable. The initial sequences were however boring, but got a hold in the second half where it was much fast paced and the happy factor was there were only two or like three cannibals hunting down for people and the climax was the worst, yes worst because didn't get any idea about the point behind that scene. If it was just for the tagline, its not worth it.

Need For Speed

When the movie was announced, had pretty good expectations as one of the fans of the video game series. The movie offers everything what you need to see on screen when you compare it with the game franchise. But what it lacked was a well developed plot and a fast paced engaging script like the Fast and Furious franchise offers. But still Need For Speed offers much supercars or hypercars such as a bunch of Koenigsegg Agera R, Lamborghini's, Ford Mustang etc. To see those mean machines at their full power was still engaging to watch, though had quite an amount of lag when there was no race. Still watchable for what its worth.

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End

Compared to the prequel, this movie is not up to par considering the plot itself. The prequel pretty much had a point in the name 'Wrong Turn', but this only focusses on more gore and violence when a group of reality show members shows up in a forest to shoot the show. The most disgusting and disturbing scenes however were the portrayal of the cannibal families and their activities, but that's okay considering the movie genre is horror.

Wrong Turn
Wrong Turn(2003)

As a cannibalistic horror movie, this movie is not bad considering the gore and scares portrayed in the plot. But that's about it, and nothing more is there to invest in this flick.

Cabin Fever
Cabin Fever(2002)

As a debutant director, Eli Roth has done well with the gory horror flick Cabin Fever giving a terrorized plot which may look like a zombie rip-off even though has not got anything relating to it. The spooky locations and gruesome scenes are portrayed well just like the way they would appear in the Evil Dead series.

Not really one of the greatest horror movies or does have anything special to get noticed, but it ensures to give some chills.

The Bank Job
The Bank Job(2008)

A heist movie with a twist! The robbery sequences are portrayed well with tensions but the interesting part was the twists happening in the plot post robbery. Normally we would expect the film to be concluded after the heist being done, but this movie has got lot of suspense and tense moments after the heist being executed.

United 93
United 93(2006)

United 93 is a highly tension driven movie depicting the real incidents happened on 9/11, told from the perspective of one of the hijacked planes. The movie is intense, fast paced, striking and gets you emotionally attached if you remember the incidents. A must watch for paying a tribute.

Black Swan
Black Swan(2010)

As this movie is classified as a psychological thriller, I just chose this undoubtedly after watching the flick 'The Machinist' which is on the other hand was a great psychological thriller. But the problem with Black Swan is that, the actual psychological effects does only come in effect lot late than expected and the ballet dances were indeed portrayed more rather than giving a glimpse of psychological situation which should be the main point of this genre. But couldn't complain about the plot as its beautifully crafted and the ballet sequences were done well and Natalie Portman did executed it wisely. But just wished those final thrill moments had a little bit effect or connected to the starting moments of the movie.

The Machinist

If you're into psychological thrillers, then this film is a must watch for you! You normally need to have a great focus to get comfortable with the genre. The Machinist wins hands down on all levels delivering a classic with ground-breaking performance from Christian Bale. On another note, the appearance and body language of Bale, is what to take in consideration which just proves his dedication and justice given to the character.

A very engaging and a fast paced drive-thriller focussing on the rivalry between two F1 drivers, and each competing to win the World Championship. All the race sequences were portrayed exceptionally well giving a great feel of adrenaline rushed thrill ride. And the background score by Hans Zimmer just adds more sauce into it.

12 Years a Slave

A very original, realistic and fine piece of biographical drama set in the 1800s. Chiwetel Ejiofor had his career's best performance aside from 'Dirty pretty things' and can't forget to mention Lupita Nyong'o for her best performance as well.

Paranormal Activity 4

Well, till the third franchise the movie was going on just fine with the continuity, and it certainly matched with the events occurring in the plot. But in this fourth one, the perspective is changed to a completely new family and all the build up seems pretty lost and that too infected with a lousy climax. The only thing which I found distinct in this movie was the use of Laptop webcams in place of the traditional video cams being set in the prequels.

Reservoir Dogs

No doubt, Reservoir Dogs wins hands down, Tarantino's brilliant directorial debut entry into hollywood. The story and plot is really simple, but what makes it totally incredible is the narrative style and characterization diving into each of the individuals with a spectacular tension driven climax.

Paranormal Activity 3

This movie digs more into the childhood of the main characters and the spooky incidents which happened to them in the past. The movie starts with a set of VHS tapes being found recorded back in 1988, but my question is will those tapes last that many years as in 2006! lol.

Paranormal Activity 2

Paranormal Activity 2 sure is successful in building up the storyline in the form of a sequel or a prequel you may call, bringing up more characters into the scene and pretty much delivers the same experience like before.

Insidious: Chapter 2

The movie delivers the exact same experience in the plot just like the prequel with some twists, though it delivered more like answering some scenes which were left unanswered in the prequel. And they've kept more focus on the dream state or 'further level' in this one. Some scenes will get you confused especially if you don't remember the prequel or haven't seen it.

James Wan really knows how to entertain the audience by setting a well crafted, spooky haunted house plot experience which is more than enough to give us some good amount of scares. If you're a horror fan and haven't watched this, its highly recommended to watch this.

Prisoners is an engaging thriller and the ground breaking performances from Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal makes this one of the finest movies of 2013. Not to mention the support of the well constructed rainy climate plot and locations.

The Call
The Call(2013)

An intensive fast paced thriller where the prime focus here is on a telephone call. We've seen various movies dealing with the same focus, but 'The Call' has a different premise which guarantees to give you a nail-bitting thriller experience.

All Is Lost
All Is Lost(2013)

All is Lost, yeah even money. Fair enough! Another 'Cast Away' alike movie after Life of Pi. The movie didn't have anything interesting that I could find. Surprised by the 90% positive reviews from the RT critics.

Don't have a good storyline or neither an interesting plot. All it have is that a couple arrives at a lone deserted island for vacations and a ghost haunts them. The reason for ghost's revenge is another dumb story. Doesn't make any sense and not worth it.

Before Midnight

First it was Before Sunrise, then came Before Sunset and now here's Before Midnight each having 9 years gap between the movies. As the prequels were masterpiece in the romance/drama genre, the expectations were really high and guess what, the director once again never failed. The movie was absolutely fantastic following the same formula as with the prequels by Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy with a different perspective. A recommended watch if you've seen the previous 'Before' instalments.

First of all, the viewing experience of this movie was spectacular and mind blowing. The plot was so beautifully crafted, such as it feels like, that you are in deep space. There were quite a few nail-bitting moments arising with tension which makes it one of the finest space sci-fi thrillers. I just wished the movie was little bit longer, as its only 90 minutes. Recommended and must watch!

The Strangers

It was more like a quick thriller rather than diving deeply into the plot, which in return has its own pros and cons. The movie is okay, but still some of the main point about the movie is left behind or is answered by way of quotes, which was like wonky to digest.

The Conjuring

A pretty amazing horror movie I liked after 'Women in black'. Maybe one of my favourite choices after Exorcist and Omen. The spooky locations, haunted house, plot set up in the 70's all makes an added advantage to get some scares. And not to mention about the music, though at some places it was absolute silence. Must watch for horror fans. I pretty much prefer watching these kinds of horror genre rather than complete bloodshed gory one's.

Ladder 49
Ladder 49(2004)

A brilliant movie passing through the life of a fire-fighter. The plot is pretty much unique as there isn't much movies related to full fledged fire-fighting. The lead characters were well played by Joaquin Phoenix and John Travolta.

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

A kick-ass action packed entertainer. Lots of stunt scenes makes it more good. The Burj Khalifa hanging scene was one of the finest and top scenes in the movie. The main characters in the team were awesome. Anil Kapoor didn't have much scenes to do, but did his character pretty well. Scenes shot in India, was not at all believable its in India. Minor goof:- In India, from when did vehicle's licence plates start with numbers and ends with state letters? hehe.

Hostel: Part III

In this third attempt in the series, new director changes the plot in addition to some twists with less gore compared to the prequels. But still it lacked an intriguing script.

Hostel Part II

Plot is exactly the same in this sequel, with change in characters as this time its three women are around apart from the three men featured in the prequel. And there is so much blood and gore and ultimate violence running through the movie.

Movie directed by Eli Roth and presented by Quentin Tarantino, so technically the movie is a complete bloodshed and slaughtering. Well, much like the Saw series genre, it was made in a complete horrified manner.

As a thriller, it has got a pretty good premise and was successful in creating a mysterious environment throughout the plot. But on the other side, not much of a horror type even if it classified to be. Worth a shot!

Side Effects
Side Effects(2013)

A pretty good psychological thriller which is full of twists and turns. It seemed difficult to get a grip in the initial sequences, but slowly it loosens the mystery with an interesting climax. And yet Rooney Mara has done her role pretty well.

This short film just proves Nolan can make a masterpiece in just 3 minutes.

Theme is good, but bad film-making.

When a Stranger Calls

A decent thriller with a good plot I must say, but lacks an engaging script.

Not Another Teen Movie

A spoof movie worth a laugh, nothing more interesting here.

Evil Dead
Evil Dead(2013)

Beautifully captured visuals with ultimate gore fest. The movie is gruesome, bloody and was successful in delivering pure horror moments.

Man of Steel
Man of Steel(2013)

An epic piece of action plus adventure. When the sequences are coupled with Hans Zimmer's background score, there is too much win for the movie. And finally a Superman movie which I really liked.

The Hangover Part III

Not really entertaining as the prequels. A change in script was badly needed, but made a mess out of it. Watching the movie felt like, it shouldn't have made in the first place. Not only the movie had only a couple of comedy scenes, even it failed to sync with the situations. Not worth it.

Fast & Furious 6

The Fast and Furious series has come a long way rather than not just cars and chicks, but with supreme action sequences coupled with insane chases. The cast is growing and growing, which is a deal breaker. And in the climax, guess what! It seems the franchise is not ending any time soon.

The Last Stand

Even though Arnie is old, he still can kick some ass of the bad guys. Forest Whitaker too has given justice to his role as usual. A full throttle action entertainer it is.

Iron Man 3
Iron Man 3(2013)

Expected a kick-ass movie after watching the first two installments, but guess what disappointment this time. Not saying its too bad, but many sequences were blunt and it took a hell load of time, to get into the actual premise. Robert Downey Jr. still performs good as Tony Stark but the script had let this whole down. And once again the theory still remains a fact, don't go judging from the trailers. Seriously, Mandarin?! The improvisations made to the Iron Man suit were simply awesome, and the final action sequence is only what I found worth in the movie. In short, it was like I waited for a hour and half to see the real entertainment.

Django Unchained

Typical Tarantino style entertainer with lots of blood splatting, violence and gun shots. The plot set up with western theme was innovative and beautifully executed, and all the characters had done a very fine job in their performance as well as in their racist sounding dialogues. Overall, yet another Tarantino masterpiece.

Captain America: The First Avenger

Patriotism at its best! The plot set up in the WWII was visually stunning, and Chris Evans' skinny and shorty getup was made perfect. And dang, Hayley Atwell looks amazing too.

A funny superhero movie worth the entertainment. I should have watched this before watching Avengers to get an idea about the characters in detail, but nevertheless its fine. Though watching Thor after watching Iron Man 2 was a great deal!

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2(2010)

It really had some kick-ass action sequences which is worth watching, and when compared to the first installment, not effective as that though.

Iron Man
Iron Man(2008)

Pretty impressive initial installment to the series, which is gripping and well shot. The character development is also well executed and given justice.

Both of the movies are a perfect match for any action packed thrilling entertainment.

Planet Terror (Grindhouse Presents: Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror)

I have to agree that, when I watched this flick the second time, the viewing experience was pretty entertaining and much better. Thanks to Robert Rodriguez's "From Dusk Till Dawn". I got pretty overwhelmed after watching that flick, and whole of the zombie stuffs concept was pretty much entertaining and fully action packed. 3+1 stars.

One Missed Call

Once again the theme was good and engaging for any horror flicks, but then the execution was bad enough as it failed to provide several unanswered questions in the plot. And final twist was one the worst.

The theme is good, but the execution is not done to perfect which makes the movie average. But still its worth watching.

From Dusk Till Dawn

Woah, what an entertainer. Its pure Robert Rodriguez - Quentin Tarantino formula with blood and gore and creatures with amazing action sequences. Even though the movie doesn't deliver much of a strong point of view in the story side, the execution of action was brilliant and funny as hell especially the Fred Williamson sequences. George Clooney and Tarantino performed pretty well in this movie.

Zero Dark Thirty

Even though the movie focuses more on characters and its development across the plot, the final covert operation was totally worth it and executed brilliantly, a clean climax being put into. Unanimously Jessica Chastain stands top notch in this movie. (Time to see her other flicks)

Rescue Dawn
Rescue Dawn(2007)

An awesome adventurous movie with great locations portrayed in the jungle. Christian Bale as always delivered an exceptional performance accompanied by Steve Zahn.

Gran Torino
Gran Torino(2009)

What more could you expect other than awesomeness from Clint Eastwood? Well executed drama delivered by the Man himself, great.

Visually stunning sci-fi thriller which had an entertaining plot and executed decently, but the climax was dull, not as good as expected or below average, could have been tweaked a little bit to make this more promising. Though the initial sequences are good and worth the watch. Nicolas Cage's performance was great as always.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

A truly engaging movie worth a watch, and the plot is executed good enough for any rom-com movie with a difference of course. Interestingly, all actors performed pretty well and Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet combination was awesome. And finally I can say that it ought to be a different acting style by Jim Carrey apart from his usual comedy roles.

Garden State
Garden State(2004)

Even though at start it looked like another random rom-com, but as the movie progressed and towards the end, it turns out to be another feel good movie, and nevertheless I personally liked it.

So watched it the second time, and nothing more to add rather than its Nolan masterpiece, and its non-linear as hell, indeed a different form of story telling.

She's All That

A cheesy watchable teen rom-com. Good to see Paul Walker in his initial days in the movies.

Sweet November

Nothing spectacular, a typical clichéd romantic flick and maybe lacking liveliness. Good different 'just an ordinary guy' style acting by Keanu Reeves.

One of the best movies of 2012 for me, and truly deserved Oscar for Best Picture. The movie started quite dramatic, and towards the end, the kind of plot execution, no words to express. It was one hell of a thrilling experience. All credits goes to Ben Affleck for delivering a masterpiece.

Ocean's Thirteen

Far more better than the 12's, and good to see Al Pacino in this movie. In fact, the movie was entertaining.

Ocean's Twelve

As a sequel, it was decent enough but not upto the mark in comparison with Ocean's Eleven. It didn't have the pace as in any heist movie. It was more like a payback from the antagonist. Catherine Zeta-Jones was pretty good in the movie.

Ocean's Eleven

Heist films are always entertaining, so this movie did bring justice. The plot was okay but nothing spectacular, and the movie was good.

It is beautifully taken, well executed and overall greatly delivered though I didn't have much expectations when it was released. But I was impressed by the film-making here. Kudos to Kamal. Waiting for Vishwaroopam 2.

The Ugly Truth

Not that great Rom Com, but still enjoyable. It had some sequences which was worth for some laughs.

In one line, its a cool romantic movie. Loved all of those twists and turns. But felt kinda incomplete at the end even though it focused more on the subject. But more or less, its a watchable movie.

Dabangg 2
Dabangg 2(2012)

Its a classy masala entertainer. Good slow motioned punches are there. Thanks to Anil Arasu.

I Spit On Your Grave

This is just a perfect rape revenge movie with utmost vengeance. Even though many scenes were disturbing enough to have a clean watch, it was perfectly executed. Anyways its not for light hearted peeps.

I guess after Inception, this is one of the movie which had an intriguing plot and innovative style storyline. The movie was a bit uneasy to understand in the initial sequences, but it got overcome after watching through it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis delivered some good performances and was interesting to see Jeff Daniels too.

Kill Bill: Volume 2

Even though the conclusive part wasn't as action packed as the first one, still its decent enough. The Pai Mei sequences were all pretty good.

Kill Bill: Volume 1

This movie portrays some of the finest martial arts sequences mixed with blood splat. Even though the goriness looked unreal, it would be still acceptable for the plot. Overall, a classic revenge movie and Quentin Tarantino has executed it well.

Son of the Mask

What a fail! The 'Mask' character would not be the same without Jim Carrey ... nuff said.

Face Offfffff! The plot was definitely innovative and much entertaining. Amazing action flick it is, and what a wonderful casting.

The Italian Job

Another heist movie which is thrilling as well as funny.

Inside Man
Inside Man(2006)

A well executed heist movie. The twists in the movie makes it more worth and enjoyable. Definitely worth a watch.

A truly entertaining disaster movie. The way of picturization was great, as it was portrayed like a HandyCam capture style. If the casting was made a bit more polished, it would've been more interesting, just my 2 cents though. Overall, a thrilling movie.

The Girl Next Door

Watched it for Elisha Cuthbert, and yes the movie was somewhat decent enough and had its moments of laugh. A watchable teen comedy movie it is.

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump(1994)

A beautiful feel good movie. All credits goes to Tom Hanks for making this an amazing experience. The BGM's were also great and syncs right well with the movie.

Shutter Island

Great psycho-thriller with great performance by DiCaprio. The locations and plot setup were mind blowing too. But at some points the storyline gives an ambiguity to the plot. But overall, its decent.

X-Men Origins - Wolverine

Watched it completely again after years and feeling more good than before. More action sequences and good characters.

Die Another Day

One of the best of Pierce Brosnan as Bond, I'd say. And my favorite too.

Jurassic Park

It was one of the wonders brought into hollywood.

District 9
District 9(2009)

I'm not really fond of sci-fi or alien movies, but I liked this one. I enjoyed like I did with the movie Signs. But this just adds to the top notch, because of the plot execution and the way of conveying a message. Must watch it is!

Triumph of the Spirit

Probably the first movie in which I'm seeing Willem Dafoe in a lead protagonist role. And regarding the movie, its pretty watchable and all of those jail sequences are pretty well portrayed.

Life of Pi
Life of Pi(2012)

Visually stunning is the only factor I could say worth about the movie and Ang Lee is succeeded in that. The story is okay, but still I liked "Cast Away" better in terms of survival movie. Maybe because I haven't read the book, to enjoy the film but still something's tends to be wrong.

Funny movie, worth a watch.

First Blood
First Blood(1982)

Just watched to revive memories of this epic action film, and guess what its still epic. One of the best of all time movies of Stallone.

Mystic River
Mystic River(2003)

A great thriller with a great casting. Appreciate the work of Clint Eastwood as a Director.

Step Up Revolution

Got what's expected. Liked the new theme of flash mob dancers, and in the final sequences, the cameo done by Moose (Adam Sevani) was a killer.

So, got a chance to watch this epic classic, works of one of the legendary director Akira Kurosawa. The way of story telling is what all about the movie, interesting as well as confusing and visually stunning too. Definitely worth a look.

Its okay compared to other Nolan films, but definitely not on top of the list.

The Prestige
The Prestige(2006)

A very very unpredictable movie, full of twists and suspense. Really liked the plot of two rival magicians who compete themselves to prove worthier, and one would do anything to steal the show from another. Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale delivered some exceptional performances. The climax of the movie, is one of those you'd never think of, and hints based on it is shown at many sequences, you'd fail to recognize. Truly a Nolan masterpiece.

Pretty decent thriller from Nolan, and good to see Robin Williams in a variety role. Great locations and photography too.

I wasn't fully satisfied with this franchise, as it could have been made much better in terms of action just like a typical Bond movie, but the plot execution somewhat did justice.

The Nines
The Nines(2007)

A somewhat decent thriller, but the plot being cut into three different parts makes it more confusing to get synced properly. It was a different watch anyhow.

X-Men: The Last Stand

The final franchise to the X-Men saga wasn't that bad, and couldn't be called good too, its a fair watch. But the storyline was executed too fast, that it ended up right away into the climax.

For a Few Dollars More (Per Qualche Dollaro in Più)

It is good as prequel, and Lee Van Cleef's addition just makes it more interesting to see the show steeling moments compared to Clint Eastwood, though Eastwood scores. Both of the protagonist's intro scene was one of the best in western classics I would say.

A Fistful of Dollars (Per un Pugno di Dollari)

A great western movie, and Clint Eastwood's performance alone makes it worth it. The way he does tricks with the .42 revolver is one of his stylish and unique feature.

X2: X-Men United

Plot in simple words is like there's a new villain in town, Stryker and the X-Men team of Charles Xavier and Magneto unites to stop him, since the name X-Men United. Overall, a decent flick just like the prequel.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

First, I got a feeling that the plot could be just like a Hangover movie or so with some edits. But then, it was different and had its moments of laughs and was worth it. All of the characters performed well. The locations in Spain was beautiful too.

Avaze gonjeshk-ha (The Song of Sparrows)

Pretty good movie. The way of story telling is what the movie is all about and visually interesting too. Its much more like a short film which conveys a message.

The fabulous life of Amelie Poulain. It was more like a fabulous movie I'd like to watch again, while watching through the movie. Probably the first French movie I've watched, and it was a lovely experience and really loved the shots, locations, how it was portrayed etc. was simply wonderful. Highly recommended for romantic-comedy genre fans.

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

Pretty decent stuff with great casting.

The first franchise of the X-Men saga was decent enough to give an intro about mutants and the story was mainly revolving around Rogue though the main character is Wolverine himself. Good thing, that they didn't include too many stuffs from the Marvel series into the initial movie itself.

Taken 2
Taken 2(2012)

Taken 2 has still succeeded in keeping the pace with amazing action stuffs from Liam Neeson, although storyline was nothing new compared to the prequel. Still its kept as fresh with minor changes without spoiling the entire movie, as we see in majority of the sequels. Overall a perfect watchable movie.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Got a chance again to watch this epic classic western movie and without any doubt, its pure awesomeness. One of the best of Clint Eastwood I would say.

Resident Evil: Retribution

It was an awful experience watching this movie. I thought the 3D experience could make it better in visuals at least, but I was totally wrong in that case. Overall, the fight sequences were interesting to watch, even though it looked like inside a gaming environment. Totally not worth it.

Ek Tha Tiger
Ek Tha Tiger(2012)

Imagine a Bond movie (especially Casino Royale) remade to bollywood. Well, this movie should be a perfect example, and all the features were here too. And yet again, its proved that no one can simply beat Salman Khan. On a positive side, the music, songs and locations especially camera works were all good.

The Expendables 2

A kick-ass movie from start to end with veterans. Its actually a joy ride with many of the veteran actors. And the most interesting part was Chuck Norris in the screen, he really said "Bitch please.." lol. Anyways according to story wise, its not that great compared to prequel. But still good to see so many actors in single screen though.

The Bourne Legacy

The movie dragged like hell in the first half and caught up with the grip in the second half only. The plot lacked pace and continuous action at some points compared to the prequels. But Jeremy Renner managed to keep the show going and was still good even compared with Matt Damon. Overall its a watchable movie.

My Sassy Girl

A cheesy teen comedy romantic flick. The ending had some twists. Elisha Cuthbert looked great.

Leaving Las Vegas

Its a cool movie, and acting of Nicolas Cage is worth as an alcoholic. Should be definitely watchable.

21 Jump Street

Its a fun watch movie worth entertaining. I can say Channing Tatum has improved with his acting lessons. Jonah Hill seems pretty comfortable with these teen comedy movies. Anyways the duo was good and the chemistry worked out pretty well for them.

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence)

Dafuq did I just see? Its some sick torture porn more aggressive than the first part. The main character wasn't better than Dr. Heiter.

StreetDance 3D

Well, its no different than the Step-Up series, as both have the same plot. But its decent enough to watch all those moves and music.

A cute teen comedy movie.

The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises is maintained as epic as the prequels with stunning visuals, action sequences and spectacular background score by Hans Zimmer. Tom Hardy as Bane also did a very fine job but upper hands is always with the Joker. And out of three, still The Dark Knight wins, maybe the reason was Joker, as Heath Ledger was outstanding as Joker. Overall, I enjoyed the movie as much as the prequels. And I believe Nolan could make the Dark Knight rise again by watching through the end of the movie, but never happens.

American Reunion

A good comeback by the original stars. The movie was as good as the former ones. Everyone did their part decently as they did before. And I hope more movies may come from the group like a reunion.

Piranha 3DD
Piranha 3DD(2012)

Can't even call this as a movie, because its been made completely out of nonsense. Even though Piranha 3D was gory and fun, Piranha 3DD is just the worst part. And finally I'm happy with David Koechner about what he deserved, exactly the same way he deserved in the Final Destination 5.

The Amazing Spider-Man

It wasn't that amazing as I expected from the trailers. The first half just lagged like hell. The new Spider-Man outfit was super cool. The web shooting effects have been detailed much more better than the previous movies, and the 3D effects just takes the advantage. Overall a decent watchable movie.

Friends With Benefits

Just another movie like No Strings Attached, is what I felt. Storyline couldn't be any different than that, just some changes in plot maybe. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis did their part well.

Batman Forever

Its a pretty decent movie where Batman and Robin unite each other to stop the menaces brought by Two-Face Harvey and Riddler into Gotham City. Its pretty much comparable with the comic series of Batman. Jim Carrey as Riddler was good.

Batman Begins

Just one awesome brilliant action packed entertainer. All credits goes to Nolan for making Batman superb as never before.

Black Water
Black Water(2008)

The movie had great locations, and plot was just made simple.

A brilliant piece of drama based on drug trafficking.

Cast Away
Cast Away(2000)

One of the best performances ever from Tom Hanks. I don't have anything to dislike in this movie. Making of fire and celebrating it was the most funny scene, I almost laughed to death. The movie is absolutely perfect!

The Woman in Black

Even though the plot is not that long detailed one, still the locations and story is spooky enough to get scared. The locations, costumes, vehicles set in 1886 is well portrayed, and the music had its own part to scare. Good character for Daniel Radcliffe after Harry Potter.

The movie may sound silly, because all you've got to see is one man inside a coffin buried alive. But it has got several thrilling nail-biting moments which keeps you entertained. I wouldn't mind even if the plot is kept this way, as its better than not exploiting the unnecessary parts into the scene. The climax was totally unexpected.

Downfall (Der Untergang)

Downfall is well documented war movie about the last days of Adolf Hitler and as that of Third Reich. It should be a must watch for war movie genre fan. Bruno Ganz who portrayed Adolf Hitler performed so well, all credits goes for his performance.

The Ring Two
The Ring Two(2005)

This is a disappointing and boring stuff. The story was exactly the same as the first one without any difference and cause.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Not one of the best thrillers, but yeah it has got David Fincher's style which makes it a decent one. Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara did excellent performances.

Changing Lanes

Somewhat decent thriller, but too slow moving in the initial sequences. Acting by Samuel L Jackson, is what i found remarkable.

The Ring
The Ring(2002)

Not that great horror movie. But the plot is somewhat trying to be scary enough. Only good I found is that, it had some beautiful locations and music by Hans Zimmer.

The Godfather

Its one of the greatest classic gangster films of all time. Still holds No.1 position of movies of all time. Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo with one of the greatest scripts. The casting was another excellent blended one. There are no words to explain the acting of Marlon Brando as Don Corleone. All other members of Corleone family delivered excellent performances especially James Caan (Sonny) and Al Pacino (Michael). No doubt to be its must watch.

The Untouchables

An epic classic mafia gangster movie. The plot is simply awesome with Tommy guns and grenades, lol. The feel is what the movie is all about. The movie reminded me of a similar PC game called 'Mafia'. Maybe the game is inspired from this movie, as it contained similar situations and plot. In the movie, all characters delivered excellent performances such as Kevin Costner, Sean Connery and Robert Di Nero as Al Capone, the mafia crime lord.

Bicentennial Man

I personally liked this movie, especially the music by James Horner. Its a feel good music. Even though it was not Robin William's one of his best, it was a fun watch. He did well with the comedy inside a robot.

A fast paced action thriller movie. There ain't any single scene of drag, from start till end, its the same pace. Liam Neeson did exceptionally well in this movie.

Marvel's The Avengers

When more super heroes re-unite, what more to expect? Well, its an action packed entertainer to the maximum. Iron Man and Hulk, really made my day in The Avengers, though was not my take in their individual movies. The 3D effects given for Iron Man was superb, and for others was just fine. Captain America and Thor did their jobs well, and so did Samuel Jackson :P Hawkeye and Black Widow didn't get that much items to perform, still good though.

Tezz = Speed + Unstoppable + Dhoom + Casino Royale + Matrix Reloaded.
Anyways Tezz is a direct ripoff from the movie Speed, but in Speed its bomb in bus, but here bomb in train, that's the difference. The film is completely shot in London, and guess what all superior officers are Indians over there. That's okay, its an Indian movie, so its fine. Songs were shown in such a way that, its not relating to the previous scene much. Mohanlal didn't have any great things to offer as a guest role, but did have one heroic scene. Overall, its a one time watchable and locations in London was great to see.

Identity is one of the good thrillers, full of twists and suspense and confusions at some point maybe such that there are chances of getting confused easily at some scenes. The plot is simple though, that a group of people due to heavy rain and flooding gathers in a motel and weird incidents happening thereafter. Anyways the climax could have been made little more better, even though had a great twist, it was not that believable.

A decent flick, which was too good at some levels. Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne was great in their roles.

The Bourne Ultimatum

Last one in the series, and the movie was definitely good and kept the pace same as in the prequels. The action sequences were pretty good without any doubt.

An excellent piece of action + adventure + thrilling experience. The movie's opening scene was too good which involves a getaway chase. I felt the movie to have similarities with an old PC game called 'Driver', though I'm not sure whether its an adaptation of the same. The film does have a Tarantino style in some aspects. And finally the background score and music were awesome which created a retro feeling.

Another movie based on Humans vs. Alien attacks, so nothing new in the theme. The CGI and sound effects were so good, which adds some advantages in the visuals. Hopefully the visuals were not so bad, was good. The movie did turned to a laughing material at the end, other than that it seems pretty okay. Not that great movie though. And finally good to see Rihanna (I guess its her first character movie) doing a tough character, normally Michelle Rodriguez is good at this.

The Bourne Supremacy

Still the same pace as like the first movie. Another action packed entertainer. Joan Allen is really good in handling roles of a superior Officer types.

The Bourne Identity

A good kick-ass entertainer. The locations were great too.

Wrath of the Titans

Still better than the first part in action sequences, and the prequel only had limited action sequences. Well, the movie is worth entertaining and I actually didn't feel a drag compared to the first one. The dragons, cyclops CGI were great.

The Matrix Revolutions

The last installment in the series was better than the second part. The movie mainly focuses on Zion than the Matrix. Machines vs. Humans fight sequences were good too.

The Matrix Reloaded

Cool, but not that great compared to the first in the series. The upgrades part was pretty much interesting. Also 'The Twins' characters seems to be my favourite in the movie.

The Matrix
The Matrix(1999)

Still the best movie in the series of my choice. The introduction of whole new things was still entertaining.

Death Race
Death Race(2008)

Though the movie has got nothing, still its entertainment!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

A simple romantic movie with a simple plot. Don't know why but I'm bound to say that Michael Cera has the same expression in all of his movies. Well, good that he's turning into a romeo.

The Terminator

Arnold was simply awesome as the antagonist in this movie. Really a good flick as same as the Judgement Day.

Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines

I felt this movie should be only watchable for the T-X (Kristanna Loken). Arnold didn't have that much to do compared to her. Actually got bored watching this flick.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Even though its freshly started with whole new cast, its not that bad it seems to be. The movie is mainly focussed on drift races in Tokyo different than the first two prequels. The theme song was fantastic. And finally a cameo scene of Vin Diesel was so good.

Fast & Furious

Really a good comeback of the original cast.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Pretty much good as the prequel, and the mix-up of powers were funny. The Silver Surfer looked like a dumb dude, but he was good with his powers. The climax scene was a variety compared to the cartoon series.

Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four was one of my favourite in the cartoon series, and so I pretty much liked the movie. Even though the movie plot may sound lame, it still is watchable for the cartoon fans.

Spider-Man 3
Spider-Man 3(2007)

Its not that great compared to the prequels, but the scene where Junior Goblin attacks Peter Parker was one hell of an action sequence. Feels good for the symbiots concept being introduced into the movie.

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2(2004)

Really a good movie, and that Train scene was one hell of heroism. Doc Oc also did a very fine performance.

Step Up 3
Step Up 3(2010)

Step Up movie is all about amazing moves, so did this movie. It had every essence of it, but plot was not that great which is a least concern. I just loved every songs in it, and performances from all the cast. The climax performance was one hell of an amazing move.

Step Up 2 the Streets

Well, this is my all time favourite in the series, the dances and the songs were all great with amazing performances from the cast, especially 'Moose' (Sevani). Robert Hoffman and Briana Evigan did a very fine job with the steps.

Step Up
Step Up(2006)

I felt it not that great compared to the sequels (I've watched sequels before this movie) but its not bad either. Its an okay movie, and the climax dance scenes were good.

Death Proof
Death Proof(2007)

Death Proof, is a lot more better than the Grindhouse: Planet Terror in both plot and adrenaline pumped action sequences. The car chase scenes are shot incredibly awesome and did have a realistic feeling for the collision. The climax was one of the best in Tarantino style.

Seven (Se7en)

Se7en is actually a very good, maybe one of the best crime thrillers. David Fincher did a very fine job with this movie. The plot is based on crime investigation of deaths followed sequentially upon on seven sins. Climax was totally unpredictable, and had one of those finest twists. The intro video and music and the credits music was awesome.

Agent Vinod
Agent Vinod(2012)

Bollywood version of James Bond 007. The movie is all about spy work, undercover, mission from country to country, car chase, stunts and last but not least gun firings. Kareena Kapoor was damn hot in the movie. The movie is overall watchable but felt too lengthy.

Panic Room
Panic Room(2002)

It only does have a simple plot, that is inside the house, but the way it turns to be more thrilling is exciting. We may be wondering what happens next after each scene. The camera works are really fantastic.

October Sky
October Sky(1999)

Truly inspirational movie with a simple cast. It starts slow but all is portrayed so well as the movie goes on. All actors did so good with their characters. Showing real rocket boys at the end was so great.

Another good franchise from M Night Syamalan. The casting was perfectly done which includes Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix. Its one of the good sci-fi films from the genre and pure thrilling.

Phone Booth
Phone Booth(2003)

Colin Farell at his best, and a great thriller. The plot is focussed only on a phone booth, but the way the story moves is more thrilling.

Just the Old Wine in a New bottle. As usual many ends up in a forest, explore, rest u can guess! Expected some more efforts from Laurence Fishburnne, but unfortunately wasted. The funny scenes were Sword fight between Predator and Human, Fights between Normal Predator vs. Villain Predator etc..

The Expendables

Action sequences are all good. And thats it. Nothing more.

Piranha 3-D
Piranha 3-D(2010)

The film is just usual in the situation, as its easily predictable. The piranhas looked like devils and can easily be guessed its graphical. But the 3D effects added advantages. The attacks and several scenes were awesome watching in 3D. But it looked somewhat dark from the usual viewing. (I felt this same situation when seeing Avatar too) The film is filled up with some sexy sort of scenes, but not that wild. And is filled up with ultimate gore, and too Blood'y. Some scenes which were highly graphical was a strange pathetic view such as a highly wounded women being carried, immediately got bisected into two halves, and like that some sort of scenes were there. Overall, the film will be a good watch in terms of 3D effects, but should take care of all the gore stuffs with them too.

Tron Legacy
Tron Legacy(2010)

A somewhat Okay Sci-fi movie and is a sequel to the 1982 classic movie Tron.
The real Life shots are seen in 2D, and the Computer World in 3D. The fights and Bike chases were a good watch especially in 3D. Overall its a good watch.

Mumbai Diaries

Nothing special to mention. A typical Adoor style movie. Though the
Heroine looked cool. Movie without interval is one point of attraction though.

Far way better than Bodyguard. I think Asin is the reason as she handled the role pretty fine. There were slight changes in the initial sequences of the movie. Vijay was also Ok unlike his previous films (But yeah, flying stunts are there only at start and end). Songs were not upto the mark, as i liked the Bodyguard songs more. Overall its Okay to watch apart considering the previous Vijay movies.

Deiva Thirumagal

A simple movie which comes with a strong relationship between a father and a daughter. Chiyan Vikram was outstanding in his performance, and I must say its one of his best in Career. His acting was simply superb. Vikram's acting + amazing BGM makes everyone weep in the Theater. The locations and songs were also good. The cutie who played as Vikram's daughter was so nice.

7 Aum Arivu (7th Sense)

The sci-fi theme and everything is good, but poor film making is all about this flick. Well, about the movie expected a lot more from Murugadoss. Anyday it will not win over Ghajini (both Tamil & Hindi). The film is not that bad, but only average is what I can say. There were too many flaws in the movie especially the songs delivery, and poor graphics portrayal. Movie could be watchable for Suriya in it. Bodhidharman character was simply superb, and the 6th century location portrayal was also so beautiful. The stunt scene of Bodhidharman was also superb. I really liked the part of Bodhidharman in the movie. But things were not as expected in the next sequences. Initial Suriya - Shruthi combo sequences were good, but as the story progressed, it didn't went good. The villain Dong Lee did his role good. But his hypnotic stunt on the road, really got blown off, the graphics were pathetic in that part, and felt cheesy. And finally climax, was also a big let down.

Just an ordinary movie, and there was lot of expectations from Vikram. But his role demanded him nothing, just to do some makeups that's it. The Plot is based upon the Politricks and land mafia. Jayalalitha is somewhat defamed, and actress who played the role done very well. The heroine was cool to watch, but her scenes were just for the songs. Overall its a one time watch.

Don 2
Don 2(2011)

Could be totally avoidable, but guess what nailed it. I didn't understand why the film posters are showing it as "3D", understood that it was just a trick to suck some more money from the people. I was totally pissed watching a 2D film with 3D glasses on. The positives are the intro scene, car chases, stunts etc. There was a good relief for only one song in it. Priyanka Chopra is becoming hotter too.

No Strings Attached

Its not that perfect movie of romantic comedy genre. There some fun, to be precise, but it doesn't matter comparing to the wavelength of the movie.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

True love is no game! Well, that's the movie is all about. A typical chick flick. Even though starting seemed little boring, was pretty watchable as the movie progressed.

One of the great martial arts movie which I've seen. Really did have some kick asses. The villain (Bolo Yeung as Chong Li) did a very fine performance. The background score was awesome too.

Madhavan as a scared and uncourageous police officer in first half. But when he had consumed a "Strength & Honor" capsule in the second half, his life totally changed and he's ready to kick some arse.

Anbe Sivam
Anbe Sivam(2003)

One of great performances from Kamal Hassan. The movie is taken so well with an exceptional theme.

A movie worth good laughs is all about in this one. But contains lots of adult comedies, much more than American Pie series.

American Pie Presents: Book of Love

Another level of whole new cast, but boring this time. New Stifler is even more bad (worse than Band Camp Stifler) in this one. The hero looked like a total dork in this movie.

American Pie Presents: Beta House

As good as Naked Mile, and worth entertaining for teen movie fans. These kinda comedy flicks is always fun to watch.

American Pie 5: The Naked Mile

Whole new cast for the American Pie franchise. But this movie was not bad in my opinion. The new Stifler (Steve Talley) was ok in this movie unlike the previous one (Band Camp)

American Pie Presents: Band Camp

Its very much poorly taken compared to the previous installments. New cast for Stifler was pure pathetic in this movie, though he tried to imitate like Sean William Scott.

Three Idiots
Three Idiots(2009)

One of the finest movie of Bollywood which I really enjoyed. Its a total entertainer and must watch!

A frame-to-frame remake of the Tamil movie (even though Tamil movie is inspired from Memento) Even though I've watch them all, I still felt this movie worth entertaining, and I guess its all because of Aamir. The change in climax was a good improvisation from the Director's side.

A decent flick, even though it had some draggings in the first half. But second half is pure patriotism. Prakash Raj, Simbhu and Bharat did a decnt job with this movie. And really liked the theme song of this movie by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

This movie is all about Nayan Tara!

A well taken psychological romantic thriller movie. The songs were really great in this movie.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (Will You Cross the Skies for Me?)

A good romantic movie and STR did a decent job with it not like his typical rip offs. And Gautham Menon did it beautifully with eye-caching frames. Songs were totally soothing by ARR.

Nights in Rodanthe

Not bad. not good. A typical love story with a untypical ending is what its all about.

Baby's Day Out

Its a total entertainer for a good laugh. Well, nothing more in the story of script sort of stuffs..

You would never dare to see a movie like this.

Vaaranam Aayiram

Surya's double act performance with a beautiful love story in between. And it does have all of the elements like thriller, mystery as like every Gautham Menon movie. The songs were good by Harris Jayaraj.

Sillunu Oru Kadhal

A good triangular love story movie. Surya's introduction scene in college was just awesome. And all of the songs were really beautiful as its ARR by the way.

Never Back Down

Good to watch even though the performances were not that great. But still al the fights were awesome. Liked the character done by Djimon Hounsou. In fact a watchable teen movie flick.

I have to agree that I was like sitting ducks when I saw it in Theater enjoying the action sequences. But when I saw it again, I enjoyed much more than ever. I'm really amazed by Nolan's scripts and ideas. And Inception had one of the finest paces of all time. Climax sequences were like totally adrenaline pumping. And finally, I don't have any negatives about this movie. And hoping for a sequel.

As an initial release, its a good teen movie, but not that great. Baseball match scene was one of the worst scenes in the movie, I regret about that!

Behind Enemy Lines

The best movie of the series till date. Gene Hackman and Owen Wilson at their best. The action sequences, especially the flight with missile in their arse was awesome.

A fast paced adrenaline pumping adventurous film. The all three parts that is, the lift scene, bus scene and the train scene were all shown so well coping up with the action sequences. Definitely a must watch!

From Paris with Love

A good 100% action packed ass-kicking movie from start till end, and no irrelevant or dragging scenes were present. The Plot is setup in a way such that CIA agents in pursuit of eliminating the terrorist activities mainly Pakistani Terrorists who indulge themselves in infiltrating the US embassy in a Motorcade interception. The twists in the movie was another attention which are all plus points. !!

Flashbacks of a Fool

The film flashbacks about a teenager who has left his home, because of
"Several" incidents happened upon by him. And after 25 years he managed
to return to his home to attend funeral of his best buddy.
Kind of dramatic sequences and may feel lil bit dragging. Portrayed in a documentary style rather than a commercial type.

The Eagle
The Eagle(2011)

Another installment from the Roman Mythology, where a young Roman Commander Marcus Flavius Aquila searching to recover the lost Roman Golden Eagle Symbol of his father's legion in the Northern part of Great Britain. The movie had some fight sequences, but don't expect a Gladiator style of approach and was too dragging for this kind of Genre. The casting done was the perfect mistake in this movie. The Hero looks too young to handle the role of a Roman Commander. The Locations portrayed in the movie was the best, i could say. And the Camera works were truly magical.

Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor(2001)

This was one of the movie i was wanting to watch completely, as i watched just like broken pieces, and maybe about its lengthiness too. But it doesn't really matters, when we are into the flow with the movie. Although the main plot is that of the War between the Japanese and the Americans at their Naval base Pearl Harbour during WW-II, it had a romantic story in between. The 1940's fighter planes was a major attraction in the movie, putting the world into heavy bombings and massive firings.

127 Hours
127 Hours(2010)

This is another great movie which couldn't be missed. Such a terrific performance by James Franco. Can't even imagine a situation like being Trapped at one place, and there's no one to help or even no hope for any kind of help. A brilliant script and well executed. Hats Off Danny Boyle.

- Imported from Facebook (2 months ago)

A well made movie, and sure its impressive and inspiring. The film portrays about a group of Teenagers who are elite hackers. Starting scene itself is about a boy who hacked and crashed 1,507 systems. As the film is in the era of early 90's, the scenes may look quite Game'y compared to this modern era of computers. The movie BGM score was great.

Final Destination 2

The second franchise in the series. If the first premonition was about an Airplane accident, this one was about an Highway pileup. The storyline was entirely the same one with few modifications, very slight changes ie, about the death design. The accidents occurring to the death survivors is more freaky, and lot more gory. Highly graphic. The premonition scene was the best in the movie. The sound effects with the visuals, too good.

We Were Soldiers

A great movie, which i probably missed before times.
The plot is setup that of the major battle between the US and the Vietnam in the Vietnam War. Mel Gibson casts the role of Lt. Col. Hal Moore. This was one of another good movie i rather liked after Saving Private Ryan. It truly conveys patriotism, and has several emotional sequences though, which was perfectly apt for the situation. This is the one of the movies which shall not be missed for the War film fans, and is fully recommended.

The Great Escape

A good adventurous classic film set in the plot of a German Camp in which attempts of Escapes committed, but more likely to be caught again and again. The Planning, organising the Final Mass Escape was really good and thrilling too. It does have some good unexpected moments towards the end too. More amusing and interesting was that, seeing young Richard Attenborough in a lead role in the film. (Only realised at the End-Credits)

- Watched on 14/06/10

The plot is completely setup in a Railway Yard, where one mistake leading
to the Train being Unmanned and lose control. Indeed a good film to watch, and its worth. Great sound effects too!

Flight of the Phoenix

Airplane is crashed by a major dust storm in the Mongolian deserts, where they are sent to shutdown the operations in an Unproductive Oil Rig in the desert. The Accident occurs on their way to Beijing, causing them to remain in the deserts without any contacts. A quite watchable movie it is.

- Imported from Facebook (4 months ago)

As the Name itself means, its all about being "Alive". A massive plane crash causes people to be locked upon between the mountains, and heavy snowfall makes up more challenging for them to be alive. A well made movie about Survival. Its way better than Dennis Quaid's "Flight of the Pheonix" in which their escape doesn't made sense. But this one's natural and gave the pace almost realistic, like eating dead people for their survival. wheeww!

Final Destination

The first franchise of the series. The 'Cheating-Death' story starts from here. Well, a good horror mood creating movie in the sense of death, which is what we fear, maybe the only thing in life we could fear. There is no role for any kinda Ghosts, Ghouls, Devils etc. And that made the movie stay out from the general piece of horror movies.
The accidents portrayed was really graphic, and too damn realistic. Definitely we would turn our heads aside. No good for low hearted chaps.
The freak accidents occurring to the one who cheated death were really a horrifying one, not normal.

- Imported from Facebook (2 months ago)

The Social Network

Such an awesome movie. The whole characters were portrayed as real life Facebook founded team, which was cool. Jesse Eisenberg who played the role of Mark Zuckerberg was apt with the look, and done it very well and so did all others in the movie. I didn't find any exception to this. Really liked the point where the film begins, and ends with! The greatest achievement happened in between these two points, making him the youngest billionaire. Definitely a must watch movie.

- Imported from Facebook (2 months ago)

Final Destination 3

The third part in the series, was a much disappointed one. The same director James Wong who was behind the first installment. The premonition here is about a Roller-Coaster accident. Well, the premonition sequence were somewhat made scarier, but the rest sequences spoiled the whole movie. The accidents happening were so lame with no originality. It was like a Child's play. The gore is less that that of the prequels. Mary Elizabeth Winstead was so cute in this movie.

Battle: Los Angeles

A Sci-fi action flick which is somewhat similar to "Independence Day". Completely action packed from start to end, but lacks something in it. The first half was okay with the action, but the second half was too draggy and got bored myself. The storyline wasn't that great compared to other flicks falling in the same genre.

A Walk to Remember

Let me start off with these quotes "Love is like the wind you can't see it but you can feel it.", Jamie's Ambition: "To witness a miracle."
No more words to describe aside from these loveable and well meaningful quotes contained in the movie. More heart touching quotes makes it a lovable one. A perfect, well-executed romantic flick that you would love to see. And the beautiful songs/soundtracks in the movie added more beauty. The emotional sequences were well delivered by the characters.
Its a must watch movie.

The Final Destination

My horror flick for last night didn't disappoint me much, and well about the movie, its a gore flick as usual and at some points the importance is given to 3D as it seems. The storyline is no different. The first scene (Car race) was superb, with great sound effects. The deaths were horrifying, and they managed to keep it as it is in this film too.

- Imported from Facebook (1 day ago)

The Next Three Days

Decently directed thriller film, which turned out to be more interesting at the second half, as the Jail-Break plans were quite made appealing and Russell Crowe did a very fine job in the movie. His role is that of a Professor at a Community College. The move lags at some initial stages and was like a drama feel. Overall, its a good watchable movie I'd to say.

Fast Five
Fast Five(2011)

Good action movie, maintained the pace from start to end. Definitely worth watching. The interesting thing was, able to see all characters from the Fast & Furious franchise in a single screen. Rock's entry to the movie really stole the show.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Well, an okay film which is a fresh franchise apart from the prequels. The whole new idea wasn't that worth, anyways was just watchable. A Heroine (Penelope Cruz) for Jack Sparrow!, hmm shouldn't have been. The Mermaids' sequences were good to see. The 3D effects wasn't that entertaining.

- Imported from Facebook (2 days ago)

Final Destination 5

Had watched my much awaited movie, and like the prequels they didn't disappoint me as well. The storyline is all the same though they managed to change a few things in the climax. The deaths, indeed freak accidents were kept horrified at maximum and yes gory too. The 3D effects in the opening title were fabulous, and in the starting Bridge collapsing scene were also cool. And rest, didn't have much role.
But my question is, in reality does someone could be so irresponsible and leave you behind all alone in a Hospital, when machines facing top of our head!

The Shawshank Redemption

I was waiting to see this film for a long time. Should've seen it even before is what now I'm thinking. The film is very well made, excellent work that depicts the insights of a Prison. Well, anyhow its not a movie focusing on a Prison break, but tells many things such as about confidence, hope, friendship between the inmates. The year is late 1940's to about early 70's going on with the movie, as the look and feel is simply superb, as you can notice from the Costumes, Vehicles, Old England etc. Overall its portrayed as an excellent work of drama, and ofcourse its a must watch movie.

Edward Scissorhands

Can't really accept the truth that Johnny Depp acted as Edward scissorhands. I should say its one of his best movies of all time and too different in performances.

The Mask
The Mask(1994)

One of the best movies of Jim Carrey. As the Mask he was totally outrageous. Cameron Diaz was so cute, I mean exceptionally so cute in this movie. And special mentions for 'Milo' the smartest dog ever.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

The greatest movie of Terminator series till date. If there is a sequel it should be exactly like this movie. Also special mentions for T-1000 (Robert Patrick) well, he was totally apt and keen for the movie and did his role exceptionally well.

Jingle All the Way

Arnold as Daddy cool, great! A completely different role for Arnold. Couldn't say it was that bad, you've got all things that gives a laugh. And what more could you expect from a children's movie.

True Lies
True Lies(1994)

Another great action movie of Arnold. The villain was good and funny at some sequences.

"Remember Sully, when I promised to kill you last? ; That's right Matrix, you did. ; I lied." A great movie of Arnie which is made simple with awesome action sequences. The introduction scene of Arnold was too great !! xD

John Carter
John Carter(2012)

Its a good watch movie, though you'd feel bit dragging in the first half. But as soon as John Carter gets to Mars, then its all Game! The adventure sequences were portrayed well and so do the locations.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Even though it has many negative reviews, I rather enjoyed it. It really did have all the Indiana Jonesey film essence and the pace. A good adventurous movie as usual.

Arnie, you are the man! One of my favourite movies of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Plot sequences with music is the perfect essence of this flick. Climax was done truly heroic.

Thick as Thieves (The Code)

From the name itself its clear that the film tells about thieves, and they are
the Main (heroic) characters. The theft done is so technologically superb creating a suspense for the audiences. As there in every films, in this too there exists some unexpected situations which is portrayed in a good manner. (Thumbs-Up)

Miracle at St. Anna

The movie really tests the patience (at least mine), as its pretty long film.
The Plot is setup in 1984 in the first instance in New York, and later the story flashbacks in 1943's where Buffalo Soldiers 92nd Infantry Division are on patrol in Italy. And then attack from German side was totally unexpected, resulting 4 American officers at the wrong end of the river. The film was pretty good, but not better to create a War situation atmosphere.

Sherlock Holmes

The Movie's intro scene was superb, and the plot setup and all was just awesome, and delivered well. Superb Music composition by Hans Zimmer.

The Plot is setup during the Nazi invasion of Germany in the Eastern Europe,
conquering all of the Land by Mass Murdering and hunting all of the Jews. Watchable in my opinion.

Watching the Detectives

A good comedy entertainer, and it has nothing to do with Detectives or
investigation sorts of stuffs.

Movie is based on Terrorist attack and its after effects which caused to a mother.
The movie is not delivered that much good, but had good BGM's.

The Escapist
The Escapist(2008)

The plot is completely inside a prison, where some people are planning for a
Jail break. The film is being told with two perspectives, such as Planning for the escape, and their way escaping. Its shown like somewhat mixed up.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas)

Looks good, feels great but a tragic story. Plot is setup in the German Nazi Concentration Camp were Jews are imprisoned. The story is being told in the view of an Eight year old boy named Bruno.

A cute romantic love story where, the plot is setup in High School. Its watchable IMO.

Saving Private Ryan

Man, this is what we call a perfect war film. Though have seen like torn pieces before, but not completely. The atmosphere created throughout the film is speechless.

The Hurt Locker

A cool decent, simple movie which is worth a watch. The plot is setup between the Iraq War, where some US Army Bomb squads follows up with their mission of diffusing bombs.

The Sixth Sense

One of the greatest flicks of M Night Syamalan.

Remember Me
Remember Me(2010)

A good movie worth a watch, which tells about Relationships, and loses which
comes in our life totally unexpected. Robert Pattinson's different approach seemed well compared to Twilight saga.

Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma (Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom)

The film is famous for its controversies, and its Banned till date in several countries. It depicts ultimate violence, sexuality, nudity, sadism, homosexuality, pervertism. The film is set in the Republic of Salò, the Fascist-occupied portion of Italy in 1944. Anyways its a 'NOT RECOMMENDED' movie.

The Notebook
The Notebook(2004)

A good romantic flick directed by Nick Cassavetes. The plot is setup in the era of 1940, and the film is being told by reading a book in the present ofcourse.
As every Love story, this too have very unusual or unexpected moments and the way of portraying is just awesome.

An amazing thriller, such as the plot is mainly focusing upon a car + Truck.
There is no other major characters involved, rather than these two.
Its like all the fun is happening upon the chase, a deadly chase it is.

Robin Hood
Robin Hood(2010)

An historical epic of an Archer named Robin Longstride in the army of King Richard. The film is pretty cool in the shots and locations portrayed, but we may feel several similarities with the blockbuster movie Gladiator. The war scenes were good, and well-shot. If we dare not to compare this movie with Gladiator, then i feel this one is another good flick. Disappointment was that, music this time its not Hans Zimmer (Really missed), but that doesn't mean the BMG's were bad, its good enough though. I really loved the recent composition of his work in Sherlock Holmes.

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay

Another American teenage comedy movie which also comes in the same genre as in Eurotrip rated before. But, this one is too much than that of before. It has also some fun stuffs but its not good, could say in a single sentence.

A typical teenage comedy movie which comes in the genre of American Pie series. But its not worth that of it, only funny elements as we could easily guess.
Well, its definitely a movie based on Trip but cannot be compared or can't even think of comparing with Hangover.

Shattered (Butterfly on a Wheel)

The movie is a perfect thriller, suspense based movie. Though i've watched the Malayalam movie Cocktail before this, i haven't feel any discomfort watching this flick. Though the entire sequence is same as in both film.

The Dark Knight

Oh darn, I should've watched this a long before and was staying out for various reasons. Anyways the movie is a perfect Nolan entertainment. I'm also saying its the best superhero movie with fast paced action sequences. And my two great favourite composers in one film, Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard with amazing background score(as usual). And Joker was just amazing and superb, no other words to describe him.

The Terminal
The Terminal(2004)

A good different approach from Steven Spielberg. Tom Hanks did very well with the role as a European citizen, who hardly knows English. The fun moments were portrayed so well in the movie. And its must watch!

Before Sunset

Just as good as the prequel, but made at most simple.

Before Sunrise

A wonderful romantic movie which I enjoyed after "A Walk to remember". The chemistry between Ethan Hawk and Julie Delpy was of course the main thing in the movie, and it makes us believe that they are in real love. Its a must watch!

A perfect movie for the Oscars. Really worth a watch for the visuals and late 1930's plot. The BGM was soothing and a perfect match.

Safe House
Safe House(2012)

Even though it didn't have any story, worth a watch for the action sequences and car chase scenes. The sound effects were extraordinary.

Turbulent Skies

A Computerized system is being equipped into an Airplane, where it can fly on its own without a Pilot. Later discovers that the Computer is infected and the Plane changes the course, and go towards a deep storm causing the passengers in jeopardy. Not that good.

Mean Girls
Mean Girls(2004)

Its an American teen comedy film which plots on a High School, where girls have dominated to the extent, and their effects, such as behaviors, teasers etc. are well portrayed.

The Hangover
The Hangover(2009)

No Comments. The films is a perfect "LOL" film. Its all about 4 friends, who is going to Vegas for a Bachelors Party, and puts themselves in "F***d-Up" situations.

Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia

A good Mission-based Army film i watched after the movie Saving Private Ryan.
The film is all about, in which the US Military force wanted to ensure peace with the FARC, which is a Specially Trained Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia,
who have indulged with terror and caused a threat to the Govt. and Civilians of
Columbia by hijacking,extortion.

Inglourious Basterds

The film is overall a Classic Model movie with majority of conversations in it, and not much action sequences. The action sequences did have some gore and had great originality. The climax Setting Ups was awesome and just superb. Really liked the Character done by Christoph Waltz, (Col Hans Landa) was awesome, and really deserved the Academy Award.

The Best Movie of Tom Cruise, i've watched so far! The movie tells about the Attempt used to assassinate Adolf Hitler, by a group of German Army Officers, and to take control over Germany by initiating Operation Valkyrie. The movie is a perfect thriller, and have suspenses keeping the audience at pin-point. The movie is based on real incidents happened in 20th July plot of 1944 during World War II, in which it was the last 15 known attempts, to assassinate Hitler by the Germans.

Quantum of Solace

Scenes which i liked - Aston Martin Tunnel chase scene at the beginning seems mind-blowing, Opera scene action (similar to Hitman:Blood Money sequence) Rest i didnt feel anything better in it. Casino Royale had much great scenes compared to Quantum of Solace. Still its good for an Action-Thriller.

Indeed good to see Kiefer in a lead role after his presence of only voice in the movie Phone Booth. Mirrors is a good horror movie, in which the reflection in a mirror becomes still and acts on its own thus putting the man itself to death. The film does have some amazing twists in it, and the climax of the film was fabulous.

Picture This!

The film casts about a daughter and her father who is overbeared and always is strict and has a control over his daughter. The film has some funny moments and an exquisite form of suspense which is casted throughout. Overall a good teen movie.

The Fly
The Fly(1986)

A good sci-fi film, in which man being transformed into an Insect, ofcourse a fly.
It does have some good sequences, and some vomiting stuffs too!
The graphical sequences were done extraordinarily at that time, and seeing now too looks awesome in accordance with the old technology used. Its not at all surprising that the film won an Academy Award for Special Effects.

Its better watching the Parody movie of Scream (Scary Movie) rather than the original movie. Personally, not my type.

Max Payne
Max Payne(2008)

The story, characters (especially Mona Sax, Jack Lupino) suited for the film.
The Movie is pretty watchable but not better than the Game, but managed to shoot as if like from the Game unlike Hitman.

In the Line of Fire

Clint Eastwood starring as a Federal Agent, who tries to protect the President
of the US from the threat of Assassination. Clint Eastwood epic movie it is!

Clash of the Titans

Visually Good .. sequences are good, especially the Medusa execution at the lair.

Dirty Pretty Things

My favourite movie "till now" of Chiwetel Ejiofor. A film which tells the story of Kidney Mafia's running out in London. The film starts like a typical documentary, but towards its more thrilling and an unexpected climax towards the end.

Though the film was not a success in the Box Office, i personally liked
and much enjoyed. The film points out the plot in which they acquired telepathy at their child ages, when they befriended a mentally retarded boy named "Dudits".

Sydney White
Sydney White(2007)

Amanda Bynes movie which is in my favourite top position. The nerds/dorks in the movie was just great. After all a fun watch.

Saw 3D
Saw 3D(2010)

Even though the movie demands is the Final Chapter, still there's a way for another sequel. Saw series tends to be just endless. About this movie, not that great, but still manageable.

Saw VI
Saw VI(2009)

Caught up with the series after a while watching whole five movies in the Saw series. Well this is no different from the rest, but got improved in the storyline, pace and suspense even though the gore is kept up to the maximum.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

Just as good as the first movie. I really like history-based adventurous movies.

Dude, Where's My Car?

Good for a timepass. Some comedies were exceptionally delivered good, but the movie had a weak script.

Van Wilder: Freshman Year

Apart the heroine is hot, the movie is just below average. No where near to American pie series.

Easy A
Easy A(2010)

Watched for Amanda Bynes, but I was wrong. Good rating in here and IMDb, but I didn't like it much.

She's the Man

I just love Amanda Bynes after seeing this (though I liked her very much in Sydney White) A fun filled entertainer, the Principal character was my favourite. Channing Tatum still needs to be perfect with his acting, Robert Hoffman though had a very small role, was good.

Bangkok Dangerous

A Hitman-ish approach to Nicolas Cage, good action sequences, below average storyline. Fun watch though.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Below average flick, nowhere near to the first part. 3D effects were FAIL!

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

Good movie. The 3D visual effects was a bonus though.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

An okay movie, good indeed. But compared to the prequel, lacks pace and some part of the suspense elements. Amazing locations and plot. Overall an entertainer.

The Accidental Husband

The movie is no good, as I expected little more fun interesting script. But epicfail! Academy Award winner Colin Firth had nothing to do in this movie. Only good was some BGMs of ARR was there.

Saw V
Saw V(2008)

Nothing unusual in this movie. The blood soaked entertainment continues, and more and more new techniques is introduced. And the story has moved from Jigsaw John, still the victims are punished for their sins by one another. But I wonder whose voice is in the cassette tape!

Saw IV
Saw IV(2007)

This time the movie plot runs through Officer Rigg, putting himself in the test by the Jigsaw. The movie starts off with an autopsy scene, and then progresses with flashbacks, and some mix-ups between scenes of Saw III is added to this movie making the plot more legit. Overall, its a gore feist without any doubt.

Saw III(2006)

The movie starts as a continuation to the second part, where Detective Eric Matthews is locked behind trapped, and the officers searching for his disappearance. To be frank, this movie is ultimate gruesome, too gory and has lot of bloodshed, indeed wildest in the series. It also reveals some of the stories/mysteries behind the murders portrayed in the first and second part.

Saw II
Saw II(2005)

Well, about the movie, its as gory as it seems to be. In this movie the Jigsaw killer is revealed, and the plot revolves around a group of people trapped in a room or lodge. There are various twists and suspense in this movie, and is directly related to the prequel part. So better be sure to watch the series in its order itself.

The Adventures of Tintin

Cool movie in both adventure and graphics. The bike chase scene was the top scene in the movie, really loved it !! :)

X-Men: First Class

A first class movie itself, sad that I didn't go to Big Screen because of missing Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) in it. But his cameo appearance in the movie was just rocking. Really liked the concept of the movie, acting as a prequel to all of the X-Men series. Also had a good storyline and plot setup at the time of Cuban Missile Crisis. Everyone did a fine job with their roles, and as usual there were some cool characters with their extra-ordinary mutant powers.

I really liked the concept of Saw movies, as a death trap hiding beneath a psychopath's game. This first part didn't had much gore, or was totally off from the screen. But lots of bloodshed, and I know its even more in the sequels. The Jigsaw Killer's clown mask was awesome. (In my mind, its the scene from Scary Movie :P)

Delhi Belly
Delhi Belly(2011)

A well taken movie, which we couldn't see often in Indian Cinemas. At some points, got a feel like it was inspired from American Pie series for its profane dialogues and situational comedies though the storyline was entirely different. Vir Das did exceptionally well, with his serious face and dialogues. Overall its a good watchable movie for youngsters.

Vertical Limit

An amazing adventurous thriller. The Plot is completely set on Mount K2. The highlight scene in the movie is of course, jumping from one mountain to another carrying two axes in hand, that's one hell of a scene which you shouldn't miss. The movie had a decent storyline and the rescue mission was delivered well.

National Treasure

I can't believe I resisted to watch this movie for sometime. Well, had watched, and found out to be a good adventurous film. I normally likes all the History based movies, and this one adds to the list. Now looking forward to watch the Book of Secrets.

Enemy at the Gates

A cool movie in the War film genre, where the plot is setup in 1940's during the World War II, as the German Nazi's are at their best on capturing provinces and destroying the Soviet Union by capturing their capital city called Stalingrad. Even though its the general plot, the film mainly targets a duel between the Sniper of Red Army named, Vassili Zaitsev and a German Major Erwin Konig. Its like the snipers play a game of cat and mouse during the Battle of Stalingrad. Its a movie which is recommended for the War-film fans.

This is a movie for those, who are exotic cars fanatics. Weak script made this movie a disaster in the box-office. But good thing is, you can see some adrenaline pump drag races with cool Exotics like Ford GT, Lamborghini Diablo, Porsche Carrera GT, Mercedes Benz SLR Mclaren, Enzo Ferrari, Koenigsegg CCX and even more. The heroine Nadia Bjorlin surely was damn hot in the movie. If Fast & Furious focused on Tuners/Muscle Cars, Redline is all about exotic supercars.

The Passion of the Christ

A Mel Gibson epic movie, which only points to crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. The scourge scenes were extremely brutal and its tough to watch even though its a movie, and I doubt whether its depicted slightly exaggerated. James Caviezel who played Jesus delivered an excellent performance.

Angels & Demons

Another amazing suspense mystery thriller in which the plot is set in the death of the Pope at Vatican. And about finding clues to save the four Cardinals who are likely to be the next successor of the Pope, being in a threat of murder. As seen in the Da Vinci Code, here too the movie goes on in a puzzle solving way and its more thrilling this time. The suspense is also kept like as in there in the prequel. And finally hats off to Hans Zimmer for yet another amazing BG score given to the movie.

The Da Vinci Code

Finally managed to see this movie, though never read the book. Well, its an awesome mystery thriller which is going through codes, numbers, series, phrases etc. to crack for finding the mysteries behind a murder which is placed like as in Da Vinci's famous painting "The Vitruvian Man". The positives are the casting itself and the music by Hans Zimmer gave a perfect ambiance for the movie.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

A decent movie, and the graphically created ape (Caesar) was outstanding and well made. James Fanco, as usual gave promising performance and a better replacement for Mark Wahlberg.

Behind Enemy Lines II: Axis of Evil

Even though the expectations were not so high, I was thinking it would be an okay War-type genre movie. But, got disappointed. The film is below average, and can't be compared to the prequel and sequel of this movie. It shouldn't be made as a sequel, nor given the title 'Behind Enemy Lines'.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Amazing movie which was visually stunning. And maybe I too have to say that the 3D experience was really fantastic. From start to end, full sequences in real-time 3D. Awesome! Though the transformation sound effects were better in the 2nd sequel compared to Dark of the Moon, but still its good.

The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Apart from Horror, this is just another torture porn. The theme is so sadistic. But didn't had much gore compared to other Horror flicks. Well, the idea is originated from the tortures happened at Nazi Concentration Camp. The antagonist Doctor (Dieter Laser) was well suited as the sadistic Surgeon. Overall a disgusting one hell of a movie.

The Hangover Part II

Superb film, though the storyline is exact as the first one. Nothing new. But got entertained at maximum. Its ofcourse a fun watch, and you'll never regret. Every characters were good as if they were in the first part. The Photos shown in the Credits turns out to be a highlight of the two films.

Good thriller film which is said to be an updated version of Alfred Hitchcock's classic movie Rear Window (Realized from Wiki) though not seen that film. Shia LaBeouf was very fine in the movie, and did it well.

The Hole
The Hole(2012)

Quite decent thriller film which brings suspense about a bottomless Hole situated in the basement of the house. The film is mainly targeted on creepiness which is inside every children's mind, that scares them often. Overall a watchable movie.

Road Trip
Road Trip(2000)

Another teen comedy flick, which is watchable in my opinion. Seann William Scott was better in American Pie trio, who played Steve Stiffler. But he remains a highlight in this film too.
