Ambitious and engaging it suffers from a low budget (though it achieves much with limited resources) buoyed up by strong performances. Just a year later Ex Machina would explore the same ground so much better.
Disappointing.. Really seems to start off well but becomes increasingly silly with every passing scene
Intense, violent and very well made
Charming with a hint of subversion
Romping "man in a rubber suit" Tokyo destruction.. exactly how a Gozilla should be.. FUN! Some ropy effects don't mar some inventive monster action and genuinely re-imagines a movie icon.
Blandly forgettable with comic book action. From the start with it's comic villain and ninja like reflexes of the 7 (who can kill people they can't even see without harming a civilian) this set itself in the "fun action" vein but lacks any heart and when people quip as they die it feels the characters are as uninterested as the audience.
Jokes are few and far between, more than a couple fall short or are tired old standards.. however i liked Mindhorn. I like the shows its taking off and the sincerity with which its made.
Exceptionally unfunny. Seems to think modern references and foul language in a medieval setting are inherently funny.. and then did nothing else.
Boring, even the short action sequences are boring.
A bit too slow to be great but still one of the most original comedies in years.
Charming and awkward
