Andrew's Review of Grease
What makes Grease so amazing is that it's incredibly energetic, not slowing down for a second, and most of it still holds up to this day! Grease is the story of Danny and Sandy, two people who fall in love over Summer vacation. But when summer ends, they think that it's over between them since they probably won't see each other again. Fortunately, Sandy transfers to Danny's school (without either of them knowing). Once they rediscover each other, Sandy realizes that the Danny she met over summer is not the same Danny she's seeing in high school. Hijinx and musical numbers ensue in this classic musical. I never get tired of the catchy musical numbers (such as "Summer Nights" and "You're the One that I Want"). Plus, the chemistry between John Travolta and Olivia-Newton John is great. The only issue in this movie is that some of the lines are pretty cheesy ("Find a penny, pick it up. All day long you'll have good luck" probably being the worst of the lines). However, they don't take away from what's happening on screen. Grease is a must-see musical that will leave people with the songs in their heads and their toes tapping.
