They try to to so much with so little. They have the moderately reliable Johnny Depp; they know this, they try to take advantage of this but instead wear him thin. The amount of poorly written characters they throw at you is ridiculous. It's lone redeeming quality is also a negative.
With the exception of an atmosphere and an instantly recognizable hero, this film struggles with load of miscast, recycled action, and a lack of focus on the more memorable parts.
More of a light show than a movie, "Green Lantern" takes an undeveloped fetus and throws it at you. That fetus represents the movie.
Blacker than black humor, bloodier than blood horror, and creative camera shots and angled turn this would be slasher into a present day standard.
