God Michael Bay and Edward Zwick are the most overrated directors around. This movie is as awful and unsubtle as all his others.
Has its heart in the right place, but really, how many different types of signs of appreciation for the taste of food can you make? Has Sundance Festival written all over it. A particularly fine performance by Jon Favreau and Emjay Anthony as his son. I wish I got on so well with my ex-wives.
Entertaining enough, especially when the gorgeous Mélanie Laurent is in it. Many plot holes, but the pace of the movie makes you not dwell on them too much until the movie's over.
I've seen some dumb Hollywood thrillers in my time with really stupid plots, but this is up there with the worst of them. A ruthless killer kidnaps Harrison Ford's wife and kids to reveal the company secrets and lets them take the family dog. Who wrote this crap? Betsy Benicetobenjy?
