Powerful film. We watched it in my French class and I was amazed. Simply amazed.

This entry confirms that yes, I do actually watch movies when I have the time. :)

Still in-transit to the new apartment. Here's an old rating. The Shadow is my favorite hero / vigilante movie of all-time. This is always what I dreamed Batman would be like, if it wasn't marred by unnecessary (and embarrassing) comidic relief. My love for Alec Baldwin is immeasurable. My earliest movie memories are the opening scenes of The Hunt for Red October. I have more to say, but not about the Shadow.

10/10. Very, extremely recommended. Especially for Batman fans.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Just in case, there might be SPOILERS ahead.

I will cop to the one expectation that I had: I expected Vader in his full-body suit and I expected him to be cool. He wouldn't have to say anything and I would still swoon. And then he has to go and take news badly ("Noooooooo!") and the last vestige of my liking this movie shriveled up. But, by all means, its not a horrible movie. The pacing annoyed me--it may not annoy you. The dialogue was a notch up from Attack of the Clones. There were scenes where Ankin and Padme were seperated and didn't even talk to fill up the empty, but effective space of the scene. Those were my favorite. Productive silences are always better than pointless prate. The action didn't do much for me either. I can certainly see why some like it. I didn't. Everything else that disappointed me has been aptly explained elsewhere.

No Recommendation. 5/10

Kung Fu Hustle

I hand out 10/10 like candy. They don't go to perfect movies, the go to movies that I feel are complete and cover me in awesomeness. They give me a little tingly feel in the stomach (that may or may not be heartburn).

Even before it was over, I knew that I wanted to see Kung-Fu hustle again. I'm going to draw little hearts on my folder and think fondly on the harpists.
