The Locals (Dead People)
5 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

The Locals, was an interesting film. The start of the movie was, well rather slow and dull. Once it got into it, it started to get weird. Like not this is awesome, weird, but more like a what the hell is going on here type of weird. By the 3rd act, some of it actually began to make some sense and there were a few twist. The third act is what really redeemed the film for me. This by far isn't a great movie by any means. The acting is decent and that def is something that helps the film. If your into films that are odd and have lots of twist then you might want to check this one out.

Its worth a view if nothing else and def a film that I can see really being a love or hate type of flick with about 99% of the crowd that watches it. Def one to watch and form your own opinion about.

Film Crew: Hollywood After Dark
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

The Film crew, all I have to say is that I've been waiting a long, long time to have the boys from MST3K back and doing something together. The talent and laughs they provided over the years was missed and it was great to hear that they had decided to carry on what MST3K had started with The Film Crew.

Hollywood After Dark was the first film that they did and I gotta say it was a perfect choice. Horribly bad, bad, bad film. And the boys did it justice for sure with there off beat blend of humour and impecable timing with the jokes. Although there were times like it felt that they were still getting back into the swing of things and that we haven't seen the best from them yet.

Overall it was like visiting with friends that you hadn't seen for awhile. It was great to get back in touch and share the laughs again. Hopefully they will continue on with the Film Crew Movies and keep providing us with the laughs! I know that I am looking forward to the installments as they come out for sure.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Now the first N.L.P Christmas Vacation is a classic that I love dearly, so I figured the 2nd one wouldn't be all that bad. So I rented it and gave it a watch.

The Acting-This was about the only saving grace in the film. The Acting was actually pretty good and Randy Quaid is great as Cousin Eddie. This was about the only saving grace of the film.

The Story-Picture Gilligans island Griswold style. Now with a bit tighter of a story and some minor changes this could have had some serious laugh potential, but the whole thing felt like it was rushed along.

The Comedy-There were a few good laughs, but 90% of the jokes and comedic aspects felt way to forced. It lost all the good things that made the original so damn funny.

Overall-This movie was just dumb and not good for the most part. There were a few really good moments, but overall they were few and far between. Allthough I will say the girl who played Mika Laka Layhe(Or something like that) Was gorgeous. To bad there wasn't more time spent with this film because like I said above it had some potential to be really good, but all that potential went right out the window.

Shark Attack 2
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

I had a bit of free time on my hands the other day and had just gotten my netflix movies in the mail. So I decided to sit down and watch Shark Attack & Shark Attack II.
I've also decided to variate a little bit from my normal review style for this one.

Now neither of these films is going to win an major awards, but I will say each film was enjoyable and I had a lot of fun with them. There a bit cheesy at times as well. But compared to many of the other low budget crap fest that I've seen over the years, these films looked like they were at least putting forth a solid effort.

Now in my opinion the worst thing that your going to have to deal with is a little bit of CGI that dosn't look at that spectacular. For the most part honestly the shark's look really damn good. I will give them credit there for doing a good job on that part of it.

The acting-Is decent, but nothing great. Part 1 has Casper Van Dien and Ernie Hudson in it. Part 2 no one that I had ever heard of, but the acting stays consistant in both films.

So if you like films about shark's and dont want to get to deeply involved within a film, you should go out and pick up the Shark Attack Movie, Part 3 is on its way for me and I will be reviewing that soon!

Wild Zero
Wild Zero (2000)
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

I just watched Wild Zero, what a bizzar little movie that was. I thought it had some cool elements to it and the acting was good, but the story was just....well weird.

Guitar Wolf was cool as hell. The action was pretty decent. The Zombie's were ok. I dont know what I really think of this one. On first opinion i'd say ita about a 6/10, but maybe it will get better on a second viewing. Don't know. I really have to give it a second chance, but I really dont think its gonna get better on repeated viewings. I dont know really. Weird is the word for it.
Not something I think I'd watch alot. Something to pop in once a year maybe and watch. I dont really know. I guess on one hand I liked it and on the other hand I didn't. I dont really know where my opinion lays on this one.

For those of you who haven't seen this film. I'll give you a brief synopsis. Its about A Meteor crashing to earth. Zombies a Rock Band called Guitar wolf and some other really bizzar stuff. Thats really about the only way I can describe the film. Its a Japanese film and is subtitled as well. I Dont know if there is an English version or not.

Its worth a look even if to just say you've seen it and i'm sure you'll be as befuddled as I was.
