My Father's Glory (La Gloria de Mon Pere)
5 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

My Father's Glory is a French film about the childhood of a French novelist. Very good coming of age film.

In addition to getting my posters yesterday, I also received my Scarface and Clerks DVDs, bringing the total number of DVDs I own to

Do The Right Thing
Barbershop
Training Day
American Beauty
Blazing Saddles
Pulp Fiction
Simpsons Season 2
Gangs of New York
Scarface
Clerks
Minority Report

11, though I accidentally stole Gangs from my uncle. I rented my first Kurosawa film today in Sanjuro, and the classic Woody Allen film Annie Hall.

Shit, I just realized I should've watched Yojimbo first. I'm such an idiot.

Artist: Yakko (from Animaniacs)
Song: Nations of The World

Has anyone ever heard Yakko reel off every country in the world in a song? I've been listening to it again and again, and it's sheer brilliance. If you liked that there's Wakko doing the US capitals. Not as good, but the end is pretty funny if you remember the episode.

4.5/10

The supporting players of Andre 3000, Cedric, The Rock, and Vaughn were all very good, but they're no match for the absolute dullness of Milian, Keitel Thurman, and especially Travolta. It seemed like this dreck would never end.

Harvey Keitel should never dance or rap anywhere. Ever. Especially rap.

And talk about needless cameos. Danny DeVito, Sean Green, Steven Tyler.

The best parts: the 2 monologues from Cedric and The Rock.

Nas you disappoint me.

If America is about to go to full scale nuclear war, and someone calls claiming they have info to stop it, AT LEAST HEAR THEM OUT!

Marguerite Moreau went from tough hockey player in Mighty Ducks to pseudo-hot assistant in Runaway Jury. And yes, she looked pretty good in Wet Hot American Summer.
