I am participating in Project Brotherhood, which is promoting David DeCoteau's films. You might have seen one of his films over the years.
If you have seen Leeches, Speed Demon, Wolves of Wall Street or Final Stab, what did you think of it? Please rate the films, even if you did not like the films.
If you like the films, but the films are not currently at your local video store. You should ask the video store to get them in for rental.
Since Halloween is around the corner, I decided to rate a few horror flicks that were not worth watching.

House of the Dead

House of 1000 Corpses
I did not mind House of the Dead, when I watched it at the movie theater. In fact, it has better acting than the film, Terror Toons. I could not watch more than 10 minutes of House of 1000 Corpses before turning it off. I missed Cabin Fever when it came out in the movie theater, so I rented it. I like Rider Strong, but the film stunk.
If you think of renting these films for Halloween, then I recommend that you do not.
Until Next Time
If you have not read the novel based on this movie, I recommend that you check out James Rollins' adaptation of it. He is one of my favorite writers. You should check out his novels, as well.
The alien aspect for the film was a major dissappointment. It diminished the character of Indiana Jones. Certainly, Raiders of the Lost Ark had supernatural elements, but it was still in his world. I think Spielberg was missing his aliens and wanted to incorporate it in the Indy Realm.
I am still recommending this film because it was fantastic to see Indiana Jones, again.
The next movie....The Dark Knight.
So, the Oscars went on as scheduled after the Writer's Strike ended with a deal. Good for the writers because let's be honest. If there were no writers, there would be no scripts. Can you imagine watching a movie without words? Think about all those famous words spoken on the silver screen.
Honestly, I cannot recall the last Oscar nominated film for Best Picture that I have seen. I watch a lot of movies, but none of them have been nominated for this major category. Heck, I was expecting Into the Wild to be nominated for Best Picture.
Yesterday, I went to see Charlie Bartlett, which I thought was an enjoyable movie, despite being unrealistic. Anton Yelchin does a great job as the title character. The young characters are realistic, especially in today's high schools. If the film had actual went further, I think it would have turned off a lot of young viewers because they deal with it in high school. They need something light.
I listed an item on Ebay: Nintendo Gamecube.
Never read the books...never will read the books. Not that I do not like to read books, but I do not have the motivation to read this book series.
HOWEVER, I do watch the films.
This recent film is really getting the story moving that you begin to love and hate the various characters. Harry Potter has certainly grown up before our eyes with this film.
All of us know a woman by the name of Dolore Umbridge who think she knows all and smiles too much. I know a few of them.
