Tom Hanks and Barkhad Abdi deliver two of the best performances of the year in another great film from Paul Greengrass. His kinetic, handheld style is perfectly utilized here in a gripping film.

Spike Jonze has written a movie that is just magical, wonderful, funny and heartwarming. Some of the dialogue he came up with had me in stitches and at the same time pulled at my heartstrings. Beautifully shot and features some great music.

Leo is phenomenal, and when it's funny - it's damn hilarious. My only gripe is that it is too long. There are scenes that could have been trimmed and at times it take a while to get to the joke but this film was entertaining as hell.

I went into 'Frozen' with a sense of trepidation. I had read great things about it and the teaser and subsequent trailers had me intrigued. As the credits rolled I knew I had watched one of my favourite films of the year. Packed with gorgeous visuals, colourful characters, fantastic songs and there are a few twists that had me thrown and pleased that they had happened. This film is also genuinely funny. No general snickers, but good belly laughs and that delighted me! It's a perfect film for the entire family - and I know that gets thrown around a lot but 'Frozen' truly is that.

Big action, great visuals - CGI, costuming and set design, and Ron Pearlman is a scene stealer, even if the dialogue is cookie cutter type stuff the remaining parts more than make up for it because you're ultimately here for giant robots vs aliens and that never fails to deliver the goods.
