Hey all,
How are you all doing? Well, I'm so pissed off with Wal-Mart right now. I had order a book from Walmart.com and it?s still not here. Many of you might be saying, "Well that your problem in the first place, Fritzy. You went to Wal-Mart. Who on earth goes to Wal-Mart in the first place and expects to see books there?" Normally you would be right but I had a gift card from there. So, like a dumb idiot that I am I decided to order it from Walmart.com. Now I had problems with them over Christmas. I had ordered a DVD for my hubby for Christmas. They said the estimated time would be seven to eight days before it would get to my house. I got pissed with them after ten days and complained. They ended crediting my money back to me and sent the DVD after three weeks. So, when I decided to order my book I thought well that was Christmas. They were probably a little behind or something because of that time of year. I decided to give them another chance. I had this gift card and want this book. I had ordered "The Painted Veil" (the book), that was over three weeks ago. Yesterday I was talking to my mail carrier who said a lot of people were having the same problems because Wal-Mart will send you that the book or what ever you order is at one of the postal facilities. It?s not actually there. WTF! I really dislike complaining. It cause wrinkles but I have no other recourse with these knuckleheads. I know a new drama, a different day. All I want is my book and I won't bug them no more. I don?t mean to be a whiner but jeeze this really sucks. Thank you for letting me get that off my chest. Like you all had a choice. Uh?Hee! Hee! Here is yet another review by me.
Film: Perfect Creature
Cast Includes: Dougray Scott, Leo Gregory, and Craig Hall
Plot: Vampires and humans lived peacefully together for centuries. That is until one decided to change things. Edger was trying to help the brotherhood (the vampires) by trying to genetically engineer a way for them to get new lives into their society. Basically there hasn't any one who was born into the brotherhood for quite sometime. Edger messes up and ends up causing a plague. Edger looses it and ends up killing a bunch people. His brother Silus has to go catch him with the help of a human detective. Will Silus be able to help Edger before he is killed? You will have to find out.
Comments: I like this film but I didn't, which really bugs the crap out of me. The actors and the writting were great. I got a feeling the problems sit with editing or they are planning for a sequal (which would be fine if they had done it differently). Maybe it is the writing. I don't know. There would be something mentioned but not followed through on. There was other instances where the audience comes in to a scene and something is mentioned in hind sight that wasn't shown. That is why I had given it a six rather than a higher rating. I don't know. I had seen this on cable. I think I might rent the DVD to see if there are any extented or deleted scenes. If you get over that, it is a decent film.
Suggest or Not Suggest: Suggest, all in all it's a good mystery flick. If you are a sucker for vampire films, then this is your film.
Rating: Six out of eight paws.
Please see what you think.
