At first, the film seemed to go nowhere, but at the end it is shocking. Gus Van Sant went back to his directorial roots and made a modest but compelling movie, that I find hard to recommend because of its content and slow pace, but definitely a good effort. Interesting movie.
Chaplin plays a hilarious Hinkel and a barber - trap characters and the satyre is really fun, Napaloni is also great and Paulette Goddard is gorgeous, the only thng I didn't like was the ending, I felt it force and lacked credibility, in my opinion. Really good movie, anyway
This is perfection. Suspenseful, well-written, acted and directed film, with interesting twists and exciting scenes. Humphrey Bogart impersonates the ideal hero in a movie. I loved everything about The Maltese Falcon.
I never thought I would ever give a Shrek movie a "0" score, but this one truly deserves it. It's awful, the writers and the studio betrayed their characters and made them decadent, fat, ugly, bitter and unfunny.
