I didn't think so at first but believe it or not this is a really good movie! If not for Lord Of The Rings it would have taken the best picture oscar. It certainly deserved it. Visually engrossing with some of the best storytelling around - its the kind of movie I can watch over and over. Thats when you know a movie has "legs". Russell Crowe and a stellar cast make all the characters come alive and you feel yourself going along for the ride.

A really good film, for its time. I think one of the better Patrick Swayze vehicles. A bit cringe worthy now on how abortion was looked at, dealt with and the constant need to "bang" that young thing gets a little old. Not to mention the cougars who want the same thing. Ugh! Too bad Jennifer Gray decided she needed a nose job - she looked perfectly pretty in this and could have stayed that way. Not a fan of her new face - she's almost unrecognizable.

All said I do love the final dance number because one of my favorite songs is (I've had) The Time of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. Justice is done to it.

I love this movie. By far the best movie I've seen in quite awhile. It really made an impression and its something I want to watch again so I can absorb the dialogue I didn't catch the first time.

This movie is rock em", sock em", no holds barred in your face family damage. I can't even call it dysfunctional - its way beyond that. For sure this is "family dynamic" at its extreme but I think we can all relate on one level or another.

Thank God for actress' such as Streep and Roberts who continue to amaze me with their abilities and talents to make me believe with all my heart the transformation of character. I also want to mention that this is one of the best ensemble casts that was just incredible to watch. Honorable mention to Juliette Lewis who is one of the most underated actors today. I wish she would make more movies. Roberts totally deserved her oscar nod if not the win and Meryl Streep was just plain robbed of an oscar! The woman is a treasure. (yes I did see Blue Jasmine.)

Death Race 2000

Stupid is as stupid does. This is probably one of the worst movies out there. Campy - maybe. Fun - not so much. Makes Stallone look really stupid which is the point and Carradine - well he really must have needed the money. I guess there is a few cool explosions and if you like soft porn this is for you. Pretty discriminating towards woman. The only redeeming value........ wait there is none. I rate it right up there with crap tv. Not worth my time to even watch the whole thing. Too bad cuz I really did want to like it. Death Race 2008 with Statham is way better but hey if you like cult stuff - be my guest.

One of the better 70's Godzilla movies. Entertaining and some hilarious moments. I just love the monsters and the wacky acting. You can absolutely tell that Honda was made to direct these. The dialogue is almost as good as the originals from the fifties and if you don't create your own dialogue as you're watching then you are not a true fan! All good fun!
