Full Tilt Boogie
6 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Today I watched the documentary included with the From Dusk Till Dawn DVD, Full Tilt Boogie. It's more or less a doc about the filming of the film From Dusk Till Dawn. It's not very well made, but it's interesting and at times very funny. Though some boring parts plague the film every once and awhile. It's a nice addition to the DVD though, and it was a fun watch. Can't complain, it was free with the movie.

Ju-on 2 (Ju-on: The Grudge 2)
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Alright, so if anybody even reads my stuff, they have probably been wondering "wtf happened to FD?!" well I shall tell. I haven't been much into movies lately, a lot of stuff going on in my life. I haven't been to the theater since Ray was released, but I have been renting and buying DVDs till. I won't go much into what I have saw, but here is a bunch of movies I have seen recently, including a one sentance review.

1. The Terminal (rental) :fresh: 7/10
A flawed film, but still entertaining and quite touching.

2. Spider-Man 2 (purchased) :fresh: 9/10
Best super hero movie I have seen, DVD good on extras but low on transfer.

3. Hero (Jet Li) :fresh: 9/10
One of the best foreign films I think I have seen, full of beautiful scenes and great story.

4. Ju-On: The Grudge :rotten: 4/10
First half interesting, second half a huge bore, and not scary what so ever.

5. Elf :fresh: 8/10
A suprisingly charming, funny, and well written feel good christmas film.

Tomorrow I am kicking back into gear with the theater visits and starting by seeing Blade Trinity. Review coming tomorrow.

Peace out.

Club Dread
Club Dread (2004)

I rented Broken Lizards: Club Dread today. I thought Super Troopers was pretty funny, so I thought I would give this a try. What a piece of garbage. I didn't even finish watching it because it was so stupid, and that's rare for me to do. I laughed at the campfire killer story, and the pac-man thing got a grin out of me, that's it. The movie keeps you guessing on who the killer is, but the movie doesn't make you care at all. I could care less who the killer is, even that didn't keep me from wanting to finish it. The funny campfire and semi humorous pac-man scene gives the movie some points, but not many. Avoid this movie and watch Super Troopers.

Jing wu ying xiong (Fist of Legend)
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Today I watched Jet Li's Fist of Legend. This is one of the better Jet Li films I have seen (I tried Once Upon a Time in China and thought it was way too goofy). Though the DVD sucked because it had a horrible english dub that was painful to listen to. No option for original language with subtitles, which sucked badly. Even though the film had the typical crap dub, the movie was enjoyable. I wasn't too crazy about the story but the fight sequences were amazing, which is to be expected coming from Woo Ping. The last fight was freakin' brutal! The school fight sequence will be one I will never forget, along with that last fight as well. Awesome kung fu flick.
