Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

½

Has anyone seen this movie???It is really sick. It begins with this baby being abandoned and then put in a an orphanage. But from his birth on he is fascinated with 'smells' he first smells a finger that is poked at him at birth and then he follows it with the smell of a workmaid whom he strangles and then scrapes off her scent with a dollop of fat painted on her flesh...which he then refines into a fine clear perfume...but he must get 13 "Chords" so he then kills 13 women...and when he is put up for execution he pours this perfume on a handkerchif and waves it around and then all of the people go nuts and say he is an "Angel" and they have a naked orgy...finally, he goes to a town and pours the entire amount of perfume over his head and the townspeople get down and EAT HIM...this is the most bizarre movie I have seen in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time.:rotten:

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
9 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

This fifth installment in the Harry Potter series is a deliciously dark affair, brimming with immpressively gritty performances; yet still managing to balance wonder with breathless excitement. This time around, Harry (played with muscular Zeal by Daniel Radcliffe) is something of a tormented teen, wth those adolescent hormones, plus the imminent threat of th dark lord Voldemort- causing him to cuss his pals and shout at the teachers. All in all a very satisfying experience for myself, my daughter and my yougest son.:fresh: I stole this review by Mark Adams 01/07/2007 Because he said effortlessy well what I would have wanted to write. I hope he doesn't mind!!!

The Fountain
The Fountain (2006)

There is a strange deadness int the film, together with a callow sel-importance and self-pity which become mor stultifying with every minute that passes. I imagine that the creators and actors of this film thought they were doing something "profound" but excuse me I must be stupid because I found this to be the most boring movie despite the superb cast...:rotten:

The Last Mimzy

The film incorporates many beliefs and in its concern for the human condition makes a case for the past and present providing lessons the future can learn in a way that is reassuring, humane, thought-provoking and entertaining. The kids were great!
