Inception (2010)
6 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Inception is one of those rare films that exceeds expectations in more ways than the viewer anticipated. It rides that razor edge of complexity...carefully leading the audience along but not leaving too much slack in the rope for us to hang ourselves with.

A delicate, masterful balance that raises questions within riddles within enigmas, but NEVER distracts from the viewing experience itself. With solid, even great, performances all around, efficient editing, a very believable (not to mention intricate) series of unbelievable effects-driven sequences, and a story that truly allows for emotional attachment...Inception represents a landmark in the evolution of the psychological thriller.

It asks us to once again bring our minds to the table, gestures for our imaginations to take a seat, and exhibits supreme confidence that we will be riveted for the entire ride. In short, Christopher Nolan has demonstrated that, in a sense...and in his own, unique way, he truly is the Hitchcock of the 21st century.

mind = blown
