Tyson's Review of Mou gaan dou (Infernal Affairs)
First out, This is film that Scorsesse based his film off of, The Departed. A film I haven't seen yet and been dying to see. I can't wait to see it on DVD. But this movie is the original. The Departed is the remake.
It either has Subtitles or a Dubbed. But after watching Fearless on a dub. I'm not gonna ever watch a live action foreign flick with a crappy dub. I've always said that I can stand a Dub on a anime, because they are usually good. And if you're a subber for anime, its usually not that bad because there's usually not alot of frames as there is for Live Action. But I always argued against that anyways saying that you're missing alot of the great art by reading words. But I'm getting away from the subject. Back onto this film.
I really had to get into this. You couldn't just be chilling with your friends watching this because you would miss alot of stuff and you need to really pay attention to it. But here's the gist of the story.
Its basically about 2 guys. They are both undercover for the opposite side. And its really about on who's gonna find the mole first. Its a on your toes action. I really enjoyed it. Really sad at the end. But its a must watch for die hard film fans.
I would say try to watch this film first then see The Departed, because I've been hearing that people thought that Infernal Affairs was a better film. And that would make sense. The original should always be better because why would a remake be put in?
But I would say definitely watch this film. Its a really good story. And it shows that not all thoughts and Idea's in today's Cinema are completly dead. We just have to go over sea's to see the better stuff.
