I really disliked this movie. It was written for shock value and done very poorly. It chose to center only on the troubled Diana and took it to an unbelievable place. Kristin Stewart did capture Diana and was a good choice. However, the script was just bad!
Excellent documentary of 1969 in the black community of Harlem. Really enjoyed the music and education. Hoping this will end up on free TV so that everyone can watch. Sadly, the suppression still continues in many ways. Better but after 52 years you would think our society would have advanced more in social equality.
Amazing Cast. Amazing Music. Amazing Dancing. Amazing Story line. Lin-Manuel Miranda does it again! Choosing to see this movie after 14 months of not being in a theater was a perfect welcome back. This movie and the actors deserve awards to be handed out.
A horrifying look at the realities of black rural America. The actors are A+. It is very difficult to watch at times but the story needs to be told as this what occurred many times over in our country. Here we are in 2021 and progress has been made but still not enough.
