So bad that the previous Dark Phoenix now seems far better than it really was. The writing & directing are criminally poor, with some scenes that appear to be from an alternate dimension's version. I feel for the editor that had to try and make sense of this rorschach.
This is my third time posting this review. This is poorly directed, written, with implausible scenes (active agent Fury standing by in a fight), and some plastic acting by the main star. Overall, it is a time waster, nothing more.
This Captain Marvel knows how to entertain, instead of just waste our time. While a little childish at times, it does not disappoint.
"Genetic power is an uncharted frontier." - This is actually a line in this abomination from someone intimately educated on the science of making super-dinos. Did the idotic writer think the average audience member's general IQ was in the sub-60 range? Bad news, the average is 100. This line was quick followed by DNA research as being claimed as programming a dino to obey human command. The people beind this were clearly in the 10-point range (animal intelligence), as this would mean that ANY species could be modified to be commanded, even people. This was a cash grab on the title, nothing more. The rest of the movie is equally vapid, and not worth talking about. The only highlight was the ass-shots, and covered breast shots that were painfully obvious. This should have been a made for TV movie, not cinematic. The second most incompentent line is about 10 minutes later (half-way through this thing), when it is claimed that the familial mother will activate the genetic code of the offspring. Not due to even more DNA magic, but because that is how the world works. Hell, even the CG/Amimation is terrible at times. For a movie where hald the cast is CG, that is quite pathetic. Finally, there is a scene that I will not spoil except to say the pricing is so juvenile that it proves this was written for chidren, under the age of 10. This should have been tossed into the vault and never seen the light of day. Just like the writer & director. Razzies, do you worst.
