Mad Max: Fury Road

High octane for about 90-95% of the film. Would have liked to have had 10-15 mins dedicated to Max's back story, but I understand that it is not a reboot. Was not bothered by the feminist angle near the end of the film and I also felt that many of the critics got it wrong about Max (Hardy) taking a backseat to Furiosa (Theron) and that is one of the strong points of the film and that was both characters got to shine in the action sequences.

Speaking of the action sequences, it was great to see this type of action film making once again. The scenes were perfectly shot and the stunts were magnificent. Also, major kudos to the cinematographer because the landscapes in this film really enhanced the action. The 98% rating by the critics was warranted. One of the greatest action films in the last 20 years to be honest.

Very good Action/Sci-fi film. Here are my only cons:

1. Should have done the story in chronological sequence instead of flashbacks.
2. No love relationship between Kal-El and Lois. Did not fit this film and could have waited for the sequel.

All in all, it was a good movie.

Great summer action movie. Best Iron Man film, hands down.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Just got back from the film and I have to that this one was by far the best one. I'm going to give a straight up review of this film, not like a critic, but like a regular person that is going to go to a film to be entertained. TF3 is a great summer movie and the last hour of this movie was truly epic with all the action.

You don't go see Transformers for serious acting or deep story telling. It is a tongue in the cheek action flick and Mr. Bay pulled out all the stops with all the action. That is all you need to know. The action and visuals were absolutely brillant and the pacing was fine. Yes, you do have the typical jokes and the quirky characters, but once again....It's TRANSFORMERS! And this time, a lot of the joking was not really overblown and it did not take away from the film.

If you want to get away for 2 and half hours and see an action flick that actually brings it, then TF3 is definitely your movie. The critics are silly for trying to judge this as being serious when they should review it for it really is about. Light on story (more of a story in this one than the previous ones) and HEAVY on action.
