J's Review of 3:10 to Yuma
3:10 to Yuma(2007)
3:10 to Yuma has helped win my vote with two astonishing performances from Russell Crowe and Christopher Bale. Russell Crowe the fearful and smooth-talking Ben Wade and Christopher Bale the struggling War Veteran Daniel.
Set in a time of outlaws and gun slinging, whiskey slugging men and women. 3:10 to Yuma follows after the capture of famous outlaw Ben Wade. Desperately needing money to feed his family and gain a new barn, Daniel volunteers to take him to the "3:10 to Yuma". A train to the most disturbing prison in that time. The men learn of each others problems, but with Ben Wade's gang on there trail. The mission becomes a deadly fight for survival.
The scenary is beautiful and the personalities of the two men are fused into a odd but good friendship. The way the two men work together shows the hard and brutal times as well as the way they have no friendliness towards each other. And the fierce gang of Ben Wade adds alot of exiciting suspense as the gang steadily close in on the group.
Overall, 3:10 to Yuma wouldn't of been complete without the fantastic acting of Russell Crowe and Christoper Bale, with the supporting roles of Ben Wade's gang and the family of Daniel. Western movies could learn alot from this.
(Im only a teenager of like 13 and like the last one and many of my other future reviews don't criticise it ok.)
