Three stories about three children that want to reach their fathers at the "other side" of Cuba, Morocco, and "Mexico". I found kind of unbalanced stories. For one side, the Mexican story doesnt keep continuity with the other movies in term of the construction of the narrative...It is kind of fantastic and absurd been rescue by the spirit of the Efigenia purepecha princess (that of purépecha just has the name, because more white and spanish features can avoid). The reaction of the cuban boy is kind of irreal, also the one of his mother, for me it doesnt has sense and doesnt belong to the reality. The third one it is the best, kind of easy way to get rid of the spanish girlfriend but at least you can understand that maybe the travel of the small girl might be convinced him to come back home...
it is not a bad movie, but it is kind of dissapointing what how sometimes movies are close to be a very good creations but in the way they just loose track...
There are just few films that talked something else than nazi germans and a whole population glorificating Adolf Hitler...In this movie, actually based in a real event and in real caracters, show you really inside the life of the german and foreigner population in that city during one of the most longest bombings during the world war second. A really dramatic and heart breaking movie, a very good made one, with a sort of new perspective of what i guess it the new wave of reviews made of the young german generation about their parents and grandparents lives. It is not my favorite but a pretty good made and interesting one.
Terrible!!!!! i was excited to watch this movie and i was disapointed...begining with the actors...pretty bad selection of them...a sappy story and a "romantic" reconstruction of Tolstoi. A terrible love story in between. Very "hollowoodish" movie, there is not balance of the characters...yuck!!!!
Not amazed...i disagree in the picking of the actors, just they dont fit at all with the reallity of the mexican and central american immigrants. Sort of a forced story.
