Some of the best action I have seen in a long time.
The Last Jedi killed my excitement for any future SW movies. I am just not interested in what Lucusfilm is doing with SW. How it handled the legacy characters has been a disgrace.
As a life long fan this movie really fails. It seems that many people agree. Why would you create a sw film that alienates core fans? Makes no sense. Does not respect the world and rules of the original. Also, the growth of the characters from the original trilogy is again cast aside in the case of Luke. They try to be creative and surprise us with plot twists but they mostly hurt rather than help the plot. Also, the overt political elements feel forced and are distracting. There were also several word choices and one scene where it felt too much like 2017 or something you could visit in our world. It yanks you out of the SW world. Also, the heavy handed political statements were out of place and don't resonate. This has never happened before but I will probably not watch the next one.
Completely uninspiring. Even my five year old said he did not like it.
The first half is compelling but then take some twists that deflate the drama rather than enhance it. Many scenes recall some of the fun of the original but they are diminished by others. Whiplash was a more compelling villain then what we find in IM3. Tony Stark does way too much action outside his suit that stretches believability even for the Marvel universe. I actually like IM2 better which I know puts me in the minority. (IM1 is still the best by far) Something just doesn't click with this one. Shane Black just wasn't the director for a Marvel movie. I am surprised they took the chance on him given his limited directorial resume. I look forward to having Iron Man back under the capable hands of Joss Whedon.
