The Social Network

When people look back on this decade, and attempt to find movies that tell the story of what happened, there will be very few movies for them to choose from. At the forefront of that list will be The Social Network. This tells the story of the young cutthroat genius that is Mark Zuckerberg.

The story paints an almost sympathetic portrait of this polarizing character. Attempting to show this young kid with great ambitions as well as a human who has trouble connecting with people socially. Overall the story is fascinating the script is phenomenal, the directing is gritty, the young cast does a great job in portraying their respective roles.

I have heard this compared to Citizen Kane. Although I do not think that this movie is even close to that, its story has many parallels, and will be very hard hard to beat for best adapted screenplay when the oscars roll around.

The definition of histrionic.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Let me start off by saying that Wes Anderson is not for everyone. At many points in this movie I had to pull the "pfft thats not funny" line.

One thing that can be said about this movie is it has a unique atmosphere, not really good or bad just unique. One thing I had a problem with was miscues of the music. Life on Mars is a song with one of the greatest chorus ever, and they play it when Zissou is smoking a cig....really? it just seems a great song would have a great scene.

The cast is supurb, and there are some laughs, but I was expecting much much more from this.

Welcome to violence!

The opening monoluge to this movie is amaizing, and I can definatly see the influence this has had on Tarantino and other throwback directors.

This is quite possibly the most campy movie I have ever seen. With the girls giving their lines a very forceful delivery, it is a joy to watch.
