Les Misérables
½

I enjoyed this movie. It's not for everyone you must like musicals. Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway give outstanding performances. Russell Crowe is a wonderful actor and singer, but he could not hold a candle to Jackman and Hathaway's performances. Crowe had a variety of ranges in his voice, but that raw emotion was not there that brought you into the characters feelings about what they were singing about. If you are a fan of the Broadway musical or a fan of the movie starting Liam Neeson, Geoffery Rush, and Uma Thurman you will enjoy it.

The Dark Knight Rises
½

Enjoyed it very much. It had it's flaws, but still gives you that end of your seat excitement that you experienced in the first two. My favorite is still the Dark Knight, but this one stands on it's own. Great performances by the whole cast. Christian Bale shines again as Batman. Looking pretty good with that touch of grey in his hair. Marion C still beautiful and talented. Anne Hathaway awesome as Catwoman. Joseph Gordon-Levitt proved he has grown as an good actor and did a great job. Tom Hardy great as always. Great movie.
It is sad that this movie was overshadowed by the tragedy of the senseless killings in Aurora, Colorado.I pray for the families of these people and God will ease their pain. I pray that God will let judgment come to this guy who took life in his own hands.

Madea's Witness Protection

Loved this movie. It's on my top five favorites of the year. If you have never seen a Madea movie this is the one to see. You will laugh from the beginning to the end.

Dark Shadows
Dark Shadows(2012)

I liked this movie. I was a fan of the TV series. Yes, I am old enough to remember the show. From time to time I watch it on youtube. The critics have given it luke warm reviews. It is a different type movie. They are not trying to make a great horror movie. This isn't horror. It's a soap opera. It has humor from the Burton/Depp collaboration with the style of the old series. It has moments where it's slow, but so did the show. I think it is a wonderful look back at the craziness of the 70's. The music, clothes, set design, actors, are great. Could it have been better? yes. The writer could have made better choices as he made the script, but the directing and producing was top notch. The actors do the best they can with what they are given. Was the original campy and funny like this movie? Yes. The difference was they were not trying to be funny. They would mess up their lines,.They would be caught on film looking at the script. You would see mics in the mirrors, cameras. set design people walking around. What would I change? I would tone down the white make up. It made Johnny looked a little too pale. The dark circles, did bring out Johnny's eyes tho. Better script. I would give this movie between 80-85.

Larry Crowne
Larry Crowne(2011)

Ok movie not the best for Hanks and Roberts, but it was funny and somewhat entertaining.

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
½

The best of the series, but still bad. Please send the people to acting class. I am glad for not having to pay a ticket. If you are under 18 and want a unrealistic love story with silly commentary, this movie is for you.

The Ides of March

I really wanted to like this movie, but I was disappointed. Awesome actors but a boring script.

Moneyball

I do not like sports, but I do enjoy Brad Pitt's movie (not always tho). This movie was really good. It kept me interested. Yes there were a few slow spots, but all in all a wonderful movie. Pitt and Hill were great I can see why they were both up for Oscars for this one.

21 Jump Street

Saw 21 Jump Street mainly because I am a fan of the TV show. The movie is comedy, but it realizes most on the use of the f bomb. Which is very unneccesary to get their point across? I really disapproved of the use of Jonah's character Schmidt as he was praying to the statue of the Korean Jesus. I thought it was in bad taste. Besides the language the movie was very good. Jonah Hill is a very funny actor. Channing Tatum, is just like Robert Pattinson to me, needs a little more acting lessons. I think the best actor in the movie was the Hippie Motorcyclist. As soon as I saw him, I knew who that was. As soon as I heard his voice, I told my daughter who it was. Good movie if you are a fan of the show, Hill or Tatum, but mostly if you loved the actors in the original series if you blink you might miss a couple of them.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Good movie, plot was a little hard to follow. Robert Downey Jr always fun to watch. I just wish his character wasn't quiet as scruffy looking, but he still looked good. Awesome action sequences. I will see it again when it comes out on DVD, this is one of those movies if you blink you might miss something.

The Tree of Life
½

After reading what the movie was about I thought I would be blown away but the story. Instead I set through thinking what is going on. Too many flash backs. Things out of content. Then all of sudden you see dinosaurs appearing on the screen. If the movie was written the way it sounded like it should it would have been awesome. It's not one I would buy.

Footloose

The original was better for me. The new one was also a good movie. I am not a fan of country music that was the down fall for me. The awful southern accents. Be realistic Hollywood we don't all sound that bad. Great dancing.

The Rum Diary

This movie was well acted. Johnny did an excellent job as Paul Kemp (aka Hunter S Thompson. It had a little too much use of the f bomb, but a very funny movie. Some people that didn't like it, would not have liked Fear and Loathing. It is not for everyone. If you love the weirdness that was Hunter S Thompson and you are a Johnny Depp fan this will enjoy this.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I know the people hate this movie. So remember I have my own opinion. I love it. Captain Jack Sparrow is back. Johnny Depp is always awesome as Jack Sparrow, no one else could play this part and give it justice. Barbossa a little disappointed with him. He wasn't the Captain we remember, but he was still the meany we all love. Blackbeard was more like black heart. I am not giving this away you will have to see for yourself. Gibbs was back in a smaller role, but still Jack's right hand man. Penelope Cruz was a beautiful addition to the crew. Jack still had feeling for his old flame, but he kept it hid from her. I did see chemistry between the two. They work good together. I feel the mermaid and the missionary story could have been better.
Did I miss Will and Elizabeth? No!
Did changing directors hurt the movie? No, Rob Marshall did a great job.
When you see the movie don't forget to wait for the credits to end, for one last seen.
I have given this 100% for Johnny Depp as the awesome Captain Jack and the beautiful scenery.

I think this is a good movie. A good performances by Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, and Vera Farmiga. My only problem is it reminds me of a mixture between Inception and Ground Hog Day.

Seven Years in Tibet

I first saw this film in 1999. I had to write a summary on the film for English literacy class. This is a good film. It is based on a true story. It does drag in areas. The scenery in the movie is breathtaking. Brad Pitt does an excellent job as Heinrich Harrer an Austrian mountaineer who leaves his wife and unborn son to go on an expendition to the Himalayas. He is imprisioned in India and receives divorce papers from his wife. He continues his journey to Tibet where he befriends a young Dai Lama. This movie is not for everyone, but if you are a Brad Pitt fan check it out.

Rango

I loved this movie. I like old westerns with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood so this movie was right up my alley. I thought all actors did a great job voicing and bringing their characters to life. The theater was full of people from 6 to 66. The movie was silly, weird, funny, action packed. A few uses of the words hell and damn, but all and all not really bad language. Thank God no GD or F. It's nice to see a movie that I can enjoy and not have to listen to that. The animation was awesome. It looked almost real. I went to see this movie mainly because of Johnny Depp, but I left the theater laughing and happy. It is a movie more geared for teens and up. We older adults can enjoy it too.

MacGyver: Trail to Doomsday
½

Not as good as Lost Treasure of Atlantis, but still good. Mac travels to England for his friends birthday. His friend is killed at the party and Mac's investigation turns up some leads that surprise him.

MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis

Angus MacGyver is on another case to find the Treasure of Atlantis. This a good tv movie that brings MacGyver back to tv. Although this movie is not as good as the tv series, it is well worth your time to watch it. I saw this when it aired and I loved the tv show. The only people missing are Pete Thorton (his best friend and boss),Jack Dalton (his friend that constantly gets him in trouble, and Murdoc the villain that wouldn't die.

Red

Not a masterpiece, but it was entertaining. Bruce Willis is always fun to watch.

The Social Network

This was just okay for me. It was interesting how the site come to be. Jesse Eisenberg performance was okay not as great as I had heard. He really got on my nerves talking so much. Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield's were much better. I was disappointed because with all I have heard about it I thought it would blow me away. I just felt a little breeze.

David Copperfield - Illusion
½

This a great DVD for any fan of magic or David Copperfield. This was originally aired as a special on CBS. Great music and great magic go hand and hand with this great illusionist.
In 1995 I was given two tickets to see David Copperfield live. My son was doing magic for the children I worked with. A parent was so impressed she gave us tickets. My son was celebrating is 12th birthday also. It was an awesome present. The present he recieved that made his day was when we were picked to be part of the show. He was so excited when David started to taking to us. He was in Heaven. David was so nice. He had the crowd sing Happy Birthday to him.

The Tourist
The Tourist(2010)

I saw this today. I enjoyed the movie. No matter what critics say Johnny and Angelina did have chemistry. They did a wonderful job. What was wrong with it? The script wasn't that great. It was interesting, just not exciting. Most of the movie we hear Johnny talking in his normal American accent. Towards the end of the movie you hear a little Jack Sparrow accent. This movie is no way an Oscar winner but if you are a Depp or Jolie fan it's worth watching.

Due Date
Due Date(2010)

I am going against the critics on this one. Although I felt the language was overboard. I laughed from the beginning to the end. Robert Downey Jr was very good as Peter Highman a guy who is trying to get home to see the birth of his child. He has anger issue that come to life when he meets Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis). Ethan is man whose father has recently died and he's going to Hollywood to be a movie star. The two together are so funny together. If you liked the Hangover you might enjoy this movie.

Manhattan Melodrama
½

I haven't seen this movie in years. I rented after seeing clips of it in the movie Public Enemies. This movie starts out as a young Blackie (played by Mickey Rooney) and his best friend Jim Wade (Jimmy Butler) are on a boat with their families. The boat catches on fire killing their parents leaving them orphans. Blackie(Clark Gable) grows up and runs an illegal casino and Jim Wade(William Powell) becomes the DA. Both fall for the same girl (Myra Loy) who marries Jim Wade because Blackie is not ready for comment and spends no time with her. The friendship they have is put to the test.
This is a great movie. The actors are awesome in this film. This is the last movie John Dillinger watched before his death.

Timeline
Timeline(2003)
½

This movie was okay. Not great. Good thing is Gerard Butler did a great job for the role he was given. Michael Sheen was good at being bad. It was about a man who travels back in time to get his father in the middle of a battle between the English and the French.

Richard III
Richard III(1995)
½

Good movie about the King of England Richard III. He was King for 2 years in 1483-1485. In this interperation he was King in 1930's. Very strange, but it works for this film. Richard is played brillantly by Sir Ian McKellen. Sometimes McKellen looks in the camera to deliver his lines so it looks likes he's talking directly to you. Richard started his regin as King by disposing of the others in his path.
I didn't like the death of Lord Rivers played by Robert Downey Jr such because RDjr is just so cute in this movie.
If you like McKellan or Downey it's worth renting.

The Three Musketeers

This movie had good performances by Sheen, Sutherland, Platt, and a very young curly haired O Donnell. What is good about the costumes, actors, scenry, etc. What is bad about the storyline not intersting enough. The movie has some humor. It's worth watching for the actors performances, but this not a movie I would buy.

Beowulf & Grendel
½

I rented this movie for one reason, Gerard Butler. What was good about the movie? GB was hot and the Iceland scenery was beautiful. What was bad about the movie? Where can I start? The story was boring. The fight scenes were short. If you are a Butler fan rent to see him. If you are not a fan save your money and rent 300 or a better GB movie.

Deep Impact
Deep Impact(1998)
½

This movie was okay. Not great all. A comet is coming toward earth. Does this remind you of another other movie? They try to destory the comet before it reaches earth. Does Armageddon ring a bell? Will they break the comet up before it reaches earth or will they have to come up with another plan?
This movie is alright as a rental, but not one I would buy.

Mission: Impossible
½

Good movie. Alot of wonderful special effects. Story sometimes was a little far fetched, but Tom Cruise is always a joy to watch.

Extraordinary Measures
½

Although hated by critics, I liked this movie. Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraiser did a good job. Fraiser is a man who is willing to do anything to help his children who are dying of Pompei disease. Harrison is a scientist is working on a cure for the disease.
This is based off a real story. It has it's sad moments, but it is a wonderful story of a father's love for his children.

Strangers on a Train
½

This is an Alfred Hitchcock movie about two men who meet on a train. There conversation starts out friendly, but soon begins to seem very strange to Guy (Granger) when Bruno (Walker) starts talking about how to murder someone without getting caught. Guy excuses himself and gets away from Bruno. He soon finds Bruno behind him at every turn as he recieves news from home.
If you like suspense movies this will be entertaining for you. It's worth renting.

A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints
½

This is based off a true story by Dito Montiel who grew up on the mean streets of New York in the 80's. His days were full of violence on every street corner. Gangs destorying property and attacking people for no good reason.
Dito was played by Downey as an adult and Shia L as a teenager, both were brillant.
This movie may not be for everyone, but it does show how rough life can be with gangs in your neighborhood.

Less Than Zero
½

This movie is about a young man (McCarthey)that goes off to college and gets a telephone call from his ex girlfriend (Gertz) depressingly wanting him to come home. When he comes home he finds out his best friend (Downey Jr) is highly into drugs and in debt to a man (Spader) who controls his actions.
This movie is depressing and not for everyone. I would probably rate this movie a 65, but I gave it 70 because of RDJr's outstanding performance. A few years later he was living part of that life. I am very glad he is doing better now.

Singin' in the Rain

One of the best Gene Kelly movies. This movie makes you want to get up dance and sing. A classic for any music lover.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

This movie was good for me, but not great. Nic Cage was great. The movie just didn't give me that edge of the seat excitement I wanted.
The children in the audience loved the movie they cheered and screamed at every illusion. I wish I could say I did.
The movie is worth renting.

Inception
Inception(2010)
½

Christopher Nolan has done it again. He has sent us into to a world we could only dream about.(no pun intended) CGI awesome, visual effect outstanding. The cast was wonderful. Leo I feel an Oscar nod coming your way. Everything makes you think, 'How did they do that?" It has humor, drama, suspense, sadness everything you want in a great movie. It also has an awesome soundtrack by Hans Zimmer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, POTC trilogy, King Arthur, Last Samauri,Lion King etc)
Worth watching, it's awesome enjoy.

The Birds
The Birds(1963)

Another great Hitchcock thriller. Hendren (mother of actress Melanie Griffith)is a lady that comes to small seaside town. A swarm of Birds hits the town killing and injuring several of the towns people. Some people blame her because they come on the scene around the time she come to town.
It's a very good thriller if you have never seen it.

Psycho
Psycho(1960)

This was one of the first movies I saw of Alfred Hitchcocks when I was child. I was about 6 when I saw it. I wouldn't take showers, I would only take baths for a long time after that. Janet Leigh was awesome (you can tell where Jamie Lee Curtis got her talent as the scream queen.) Anthony Perkins was also awesome as Norman Bates. He was so creepy looking he was great for the part.

Rear Window
Rear Window(1954)

One of many masterpieces of Alfred Hitchcock's. This one stars Jimmy Stewart as a photographer who is stuck in his apartment after breaking his leg. He beings looking out his window watching his neighbors, when he sees some very suspicious about a man across the alley from him. Was it a murder or just a fight between a couple.

Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe

Pierce Brosnan does a good job in this movie as Robinson Crusoe. This movie is from the novel Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. It reminded me of Cast Away (Tom Hanks) but not near as good. This movie also has the acting debut of Sean Brosnan (Pierce's son) as the cabin boy. Worth watching if your a Brosnan fan, but the scenery from the island is very beautiful. That's my favorite part of the film.

The Book of Eli

Good performances by the main characters. It was very violent, but this man (Washington) did everything to protect the book he was caring. Gary Oldman was willing to do anything to aquire the book. Mila Kunis gave a good performance as the daughter of Oldman's girlfriend who befriends (Washington).

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Cute movie. George Clooney's voice was the perfect match for the character.

Michael Jackson - Moonwalker
½

One of my favorite MJ movies. This one is about fighting for good over evil. The young children in this movie did a great job. Although some people might think this is weird or crazy the music out weighs the storyline. Highlight of the movie is the video of MJ doing "Smooth Criminal."

The Brothers Bloom

Okay movie, great performances by the cast. The movie is a story about two orphaned boys who are in and out of foster homes most of their young life. Stephen (Ruffalo) and Bloom become con artist and met up with Rachel W who they are trying to con out of her money, but she falls for Bloom and he falls for her.

The Karate Kid

Finally a remake done well. It might be alot like the original, names have been changed, but it has a good storyline. Jaden Smith is cute as a button and a good little actor. Jackie Chan did a great job. The chemistry between the actors is good. Everytime I see the scene where Jackie Chan is holding Jaden over the water I think of a behind the scene interview with the cast. During that scene Will Smith says "Don't you drop my son Jackie Chan?" Just the way Will said it, it was funny.
Is the movie better than the original? It depends on your own opinion. I like the original better.
Is it perfect? No, it has it's flaws. I don't think it's a powerful as the first one.
Action sequences are very good.
Acting is good.
My opinion. This is worth watching. It's the Karate Kid for the next generation. It's 100% better than "The Next Karate Kid" with Hilary Swank.

Dutch
Dutch(1991)

This is a cute movie about Ed O'Neil a working class man who drives to Atlanta to pick up his girlfriend's rich spoiled son (Ethan Embry) from his boarding school and brings him home for the holidays.
At first the guys are not getting along, but they get into some trouble along the way and become closer.
This movie is funny and heartwarming. Some of the scenes were filmed here in Chattanooga (going across the Tennessee River and a neighborhood) and a little town called Jasper (Fireworks store). He makes a remark about the Cumberland mountains being beautiful when the boy looks out the car window all he sees is darkness.
You can see this on HBO or Cinemax this month I can't remember which one. It's worth watching.

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2(2010)

Not as good as the first one, but entertaining. For the ladies we have the very handsome Robert Downey Jr who returns as Tony Stark aka Iron Man. He is great, funny, you never know what to expect from him. You do know whatever he does he will give it his all.
Mickey Rourke great job as Whiplash. He did awesome with his accent.
Worth seeing.

Avatar
Avatar(2009)

This wasn't James Cameron's best work, but it was good. CGI was awesome. Colors were vibrate, you couldn't take your eyes off the screen. The only problem I had was that the storyline wasn't as great and interesting as I hoped. The movie was entertaining and fun to watch.

Brothers
Brothers(2009)

Good movie, not great. Storyline wasn't as good as I had hoped for. The acting in the movie by Portman, McGuire, and Gyllenhall was awesome.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

This is the Broadway production of Sweeney Todd. If you watch it you can see some comparisons to Tim Burton's verison. You will see the songs that were deleted. A somewhat different ending for Tobey (but not much) This is very good, but I can't help comparing George Hearn singing to Johnny Depp. Hearn is a trained singer, but screams the words out not really showing emotion. When he does sing you can hear that he has a very strong voice. Johnny is not a singer, but he pulls the vocals out very well. Yes, he does yell while he sings too, but he does it with emotion. The songs are difficult sometimes to hold a note for many measures. Angela Landsbury is wonderful as Nellie Lovett. She is a joy to watch. If you haven't seen this one rent it. Just keep in mind this is on stage, so do not look for any elborate sets you will not find them here.

Alice in Wonderland
½

Being a Depp/Burton fan you can't help but get excited when you a hear of a new movie coming out. I truly enjoyed this movie. I wish could have gave it a 95. The only real problem I had was towards the end of the movie.
Mia W. is wonderful as Alice. She is beautiful and talented. Anne Hathaway is cute and funny as the White Queen. Helena Bodham Carter is hilarious as the Red Queen. Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, where to I begin. He is awesome as always. Mad Hatter wears mood make up. It's funny the difference when the make up changes some. Look for Johnny's dancing skills. I wonder if DWTS will be calling. lol.
The visuals are bright and beautiful, but you also have the darkness in some scenes sort of the Burton trademark.
If you are looking for the old Alice story you will be disappointed, but if you are looking to have "Futterwacken" good time this is the movie for you.

Moulin Rouge!

The music in the movie is the best part of it for me. The movie is both funny and sad. Worth watching. My favorite song is "Come What May."

The Music Man
½

Great movie, great music. If you have ever been in a high school or college marching band you will love this movie. Both of children were in the band in High School, it brings back memories of marching in parades. They loved while the parade was going on but sometimes their legs and arms would be sore it was worth it to them.

Oklahoma!
Oklahoma!(1955)

Rodgers and Hammerstein musical set in the greatest state Oklahoma. Wonderful music. One of my favorites. Oh What A Beautiful Morning. Of course we can't forget theme. It reminds me of life in a small town (I live in one) Everyone knows you. Most everyone is treated like part of the family. You do have the people who like to make your life choas, but they are everywhere. Great movie for the whole family.

Shutter Island
½

Set in 1954 US Marshalls Edward "Terry" Daniels and Chuck Aule are sent to Shutter Island to investagate a missing patient. The mental hospital is located on Shutter Island that is very secure no one leaves or enters without the permission.
The movie has some twist and turns when you think you might have it figured out it goes the opposite direction.
Great performs by the whole cast. If this movie had come out in November it would have been up there with Avatar for an award. Leonardo who have been up for the Oscar and probably won.
Martin Scorcese proves again he's a great director.
Awesome movie. I highly recommend this movie.

The World of Henry Orient

This is a movie where Peter Sellers is a concert New York pianist Henry Orient. Two teenage girls follow him around town. One of the girls have a crush on him and has made a scrapbook which her mother finds later. Henry is a ladies man with a huge ego to go with it. This is not Peter Sellers best movie. but it's pretty good one. Look for Tom Bosley (Happy Days)and Angela Lansbury in the movie also.

The Party
The Party(1968)

If you like Peter Sellers as I do. Please check out this movie. Peter plays an actor from India that gets invited to a Hollywood party. He is very accident prone which makes this movie a joy to watch. Also keep your eye on the butler for more laughs.

The Four Feathers

This movie was set in the late 1800's in England. Harry (Heath Ledger)a British solider is in love and just asked the girl he loves Ethne (Kate Hudson) to marry him.
When he returns to his post he finds that they are going to be shipped out to the Sudan for war. Harry becomes terrified at the thought of war. He resigns from the army. His friends give him three feathers as a sign of cowardness.
As he talks to Ethne she thinks he doesn't want to go because of her. He tells her it's not her He never wanted to be the army and doesn't want to go to war. She says "Then you are a coward." This is where he gets the fourth feather. Harry sets out to prove everyone wrong by following his fellow officers.
This movie is pretty good. The acting by Heath Ledger is great. Yes, the movie could have been better. If you are a Heath Ledger fan it's worth your time to see this performance by this gifted actor.

Michael Jackson - Video Greatest Hits - HIStory #2 On Film

This is part two of History. You will see many of MJ videos. Scream with Janet Jackson and many more. The beautiful video of Earth Song is included in this DVD. It really makes you think what is happening to our Earth. How the beauty is taken by man. Another great video for any MJ fan to own.

Michael Jackson - Video Greatest Hits - HIStory

After watching "This is it" I started thinking about some other DVD's I own. This is part one of the Michael Jackson's History. It is a collection of a few Jackson 5 clips and Michael Jackson videos. If you are a true MJ fan this DVD to add to your collection.

Michael Jackson's This Is It
½

Good movie. Expecting a little more, but a very good documentary. The special features were also interesting. It was good to see MJ still in great form vocally, he still had the movies. He looked very good for a almost 51 year old man. I sad that he was taken so young.

The Apartment
½

This is about a man C C Baxter who is a bachelor, he really doesn't have much a social life outside work. He becomes popular at work by loaning his apartment key out to fellow employee's for them to have a place to take their lady friends. He means an elevator assistant (Shirley Maclaine) that he is smitten with. His boss (Fred Mac Murray) finds out about the key. After C C gives him a key he is promoted.
The movie is a good movie with a great cast.

Some Like It Hot

Great performances by Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon. The movie is funny and entertaining for all ages. What could be more funny than Jack Lemmon trying to walk in high heels and being hit on by a man.
This is an old classic. If you haven't seen it. You want to be entertained check this one out.

The Odd Couple

Great movie. Jack Lemmon stars a Felix Unger an newly divorced man who needs to find a place to live. He moves in with his divorced friend Oscar Madison played by Walter Matthau. Felix is neat and wants everything in it's place. Oscar is sloppy and very unkept.
The movie is funny and entertaining. Some older people like me remember the television series starring Tony Randall and Jack Klugman that was based off of the movie. It was also a great experience to watch

Fatal Attraction
½

This movie is about a man(Douglas) who has an one night stand with a woman (Close) that become obessed with him.
This movie is a good movie that can send a good message to both men and women. If you play you might have to pay.

The War of the Roses

Divorce is never a funny subject. It's serious and very sad experience. This movie is funny and serious at the same time. Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner have good chemistry in this movie. Worth watching

The American President

Good movie with Michael Douglas playing the commander and chief. The President. Martin Sheen is the Vice President and Michael J Fox is his press secretary. This is a wonderful love story of a widowed man who finds the woman (Annette Bening) who does always agree with his politics, but falls in love with him. It shows how the press can turn something innocent in front page gossip.
If you haven't seen it, rent it.

Traffic
Traffic(2000)
½

Good performances by the whole cast. It tells three different stories and explores the drug problems we face here. Amazing movie if you like action and adventure. For the guys you have the beautiful Catherine Zeta Jones.

Sherlock Holmes

Good movie. One of Guy Ritchie's best. Robert Downey Jr is awesome as Sherlock Holmes. Listening to him talk you can forget his is an American actor, his British accent is very good. Jude Law as Watson very good job, he is a fine actor. Rachel McAdams brings grace and beauty to the role of Irene. Mark Strong is very good at being evil in this movie.
What is wrong with the movie? Slow sometimes, that seems to be in alot of movies lately. It doesn't really hurt the movie.
The movie is full action and humor. For the ladies you have Robert Downey Jr looking handsome, but needing a shave. Jude Law looking dapper. For the guys you have the beautiful Rachel McAdams. The period costumes are excellent, especially Rachel's beautiful dresses. As you watch the movie it is like you are spirited away to that time. All and all this movie is the best movie I have seen since July.
This movie is great on the big screen, but will also be good when it comes out on DVD. This is a movie I recommend you see.

Holiday Inn
Holiday Inn(1942)

The star of this film was the song White Christmas, beautifully sung by Bing Crosby. This is a great musical that teams Fred Astair and Bing Crosby as two vandleville entertainers.
This is one of my favorite all time Christmas movies.

Minority Report

In this movie Tom Cruise plays a cop in the 2054. He is stationed in Washington DC where they have 3 people hooked up to a computer called Pre Cogs. They can predict crimes before they happen.
It's a very good movie. At times it reminds me of a video game, but CGI is pretty good.

Happily Ever After

This is the French Film "Ils se marièrent et eurent beaucoup d'enfants." Vincent (Yvan Attal)is married to Gabrielle (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and they have a son. He and Gabrielle are passionate with each other, but become bored. Is Vincent hiding something from her? She goes to the CD store while listening to a CD a handsome stranger (Johnny Depp) stands beside her and listens to the CD with her.
This movie is in French with English subtitles. Yes, Johnny does speak a few words in French.
This movie isn't the greatest movie, but it's okay. The best parts are the cameos by Depp.

Jack of All Trades: The Complete Series
½

This is a very cute, funny series starring Bruce Campbell. He is an America spy who is after Napoleon. If you like Bruce Campbell you will like this show. Alot of tongue and cheek comedy. I laugh when I see Bruce. He gives certain looks that crack me up.

21 Jump Street - The Complete Second Season

I thought I had review this already. My bad. Sorry. The second season we see our hero Tom Hanson dressed as a woman. We met an up incoming actor Mr Brad Pitt. The second deals with teen problems that we still have today.

Charlie: The Life and Art of Charles Chaplin

This is a wonderful look at the man, his life, and his career. Charlie Chaplin was an awesome actor, director, and writer for his time. Johnny Depp, Martin Scorsese, Robert Downey Jr and more tell what an impact Charlie had on their lives. Great documentary for any movie fan.

Silent Movie
Silent Movie(1976)

Dracula - Dead and Loving It

This is a spoof of the movie Bram Stroker's Dracula. Oh Yes Leslie Nielsen does wear that ugly wig.lol It is funny. It's not as good as other Mel Brooks movies, but it is entertaining.

The Prince of Egypt
½

This is a musical re-telling of Moses taken by the book of Exodus. My daughter and I saw this in the theater. I love this movie. The animation is awesome. When Moses and the Hebrews walk on land and you see the whales and sharks in the water it almost looks real. It had an all star cast that simply did a terrific job. The music was awesome. My favorite songs are River Lullaby and When you believe in miracles. If you like great animation or would like a good movie to show you children this is it.

Bonnie and Clyde
½

This is one of my favorite gangster films. My daughter saw this on MGM the other day. I sat down and watch it with her. I haven't seen it in years. I could help but think about all the gangsters of that period. As I watched it I heard Clyde (Beatty) ask the teller "Is that your money? Put it away we are after the banks." My daughter looked at me and said "Hey that's John Dillinger's line in Public Enemies." I explained to her that this was around the time of John Dillinger. This movie was consider very violent when it come out in the 60's. When you tell the story of Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger, Al Capone, they lived violent lives, so to tell the story you have to show some gun fire. Beatty and Dunaway were great in the movie. If you haven't seen it check it out.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
½

I grew up in the 1960's and 1970's so I enjoyed the music of the Beatles. I also saw Peter Frampton and the Bee Gees in concert in the early 70's before Saturday Night Fever. When this movie come out it looked good in the trailer. At the theater it was different. I was disappointed because there was no dialogue. George Burns narrated the story about Billy Shears (Frampton) and his friends the Henderson Brothers (Bee Gees) a small town band who makes it big. They get into drugs when they get involved with a big producer played by Donald Pleasence (Halloween). Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and Steve Martin are also in the movie. The storyline is not very good, but I gave it 50% because the music is awesome and the bands did a good job performing them. If you are into Beatles music this is okay, if you just listen.

The Men Who Stare at Goats
½

I went to this movie with my daughter. It was hilarious. I think it could have used a little less f bombs, but George and Ewan were awesome together. The movie had a few slow parts but you were soon laughing again. Ewan plays a reporter that his marriage fails when his wife leaves him for his editor. He goes to Iraq hoping to report on the war, but he can't get access to that area of the country. He meets Lynn Cassady a psychic spy for the Army. When asked about being a psychic Lynn says, "We are Jedi Warriors."They soon team up and he writes about Lynn's experiences. This movie has alot of silly moments. Here's an example to torture prisoners of war, they lock them in a room and force them to listen to the "I love you" song by Barney.
It is no way the greatest movie, but it is entertaining and cute.

The Blue Lagoon

Two children Emmeline and Richard (Brooke Shields and Christopher Adkins)are shipwrecked alone on a tropical island. They must learn how to survive in the jungle on their own. As they start to grow up, they notice they are changing. They swim together. The scenry is breath taking and very romantic. When they fall in love it is very natural and innocent.

JFK
JFK(1991)
½

New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner)begins to probe into the actions of the F.B.I. He is convienced that the goverment covering up information that could lead to evidence of multiple shooters. The motive is believed to be to escalate the United States involvement in the Vietnam War. President Kennedy was attempting to prevent any further involvement in this situation, but which Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson supposedly promised the United States government that he would "give them the war". Thus, the motive for eliminating President Kennedy.
This movie is by Oliver Stone. This movie is both fictional and factional with the information. It is a good movie.
I have been to Dallas and saw where the shooting took place. It is easy to see how more shooters could have been involved, but we may never know the whole truth.

Bram Stoker's Dracula
½

This version of Dracula is closely based on Bram Stoker's classic novel. A young lawyer Jonathan Harker (Reeves) is assigned to a gloomy village in the mists of eastern Europe. Dracula begins a reign of seduction and terror as they return to England.
This movie is good. I don't care for Gary Oldman's hair. lol
It is an all star cast Keanu Reeves, Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Cary Elwes, Bill Campbell, and Tom Waits.

The Grapes of Wrath

Henry Fonda plays a man that has been in prison for many years. When he returns home he finds out that his family had been forced off of their land and have headed west to California.
The film is set during the Great Depression. The family finds themselves homeless and looking for work and shelter.
This is a real good movie. Henry Fonda is awesome as Tom Joad. His performance is the best I think he ever did. Great cast which also stars John Carradine.

One day their daughter Chelsea (Jane Fonda) comes up for Norman's birthday. The Thayers haven't seen their daughter in year and she announces he is going to Europe to get married.

This was John Wayne's last movie, before he died. Jimmy Stewart also stars.
Great performances by the whole cast.

Dazed and Confused
½

The title tells you exactly what the movie is about.
The upcoming freshman in high school go through hazing by the upper classman. The boys are being beaten and made fun of. The girls are being verbally abused and also made fun of. You will drug abuse in this movie. It is a pretty good movie for a teen comedy.
It has some up and coming stars in the movie also. Such as Rory Cochrane, Matthew Mccaughey, Milla Jovich, and Ben Affleck.

Not what I was expecting, but very original. It took me a couple minutes to find out what was really going on. It is well written and cast. Guy Pearce was awesome.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
½

100% better than Spirits with in. Advent Children starts where the game ends. Awesome animation and enjoyable to watch.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

I was really looking forward to this movie, because I enjoy playing the video game. I was not happy with the movie. The storyline was dull and boring. I could not get into it.
The plus side the animation was awesome. The characters looked real. That kept me amazed. It is worth watching just to see the animation.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Seasons 1-4
½

My daughters favorite teen show. Great cast Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan and David Boreanaz. The love story between Angel and Buffy is both sweet and tragic. Sarah and David had great chemistry. Good show. It has some silliness, but these are supposed to be teenagers so it is normal.

Dark Shadows - Vols. 1-4

I am a child of the 60's. I was born in 1960. When Dark Shadows come on TV in the mid 1967, I remember my brother and I rushing into the house getting a snack and watching Dark Shadows we were scared to death, but we loved it.I was a horror soap opera for you that are too young. We are introduced Barnabas Collins, a vampire who comes back to present day Collinswood where his family resides in his home.

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are going to a movie of Dark Shadows (2011 or 2012)with Johnny playing the part of Barnabas. Johnny has been trying for years to get the rights to do the movie. Now with the success of movies about vampires he was given the okay. Depp and Burton together should make this movie awesome. I hope it does good.

The Sound of Music
½

Great movie from my childhood. Great music and a great storyline. Beautifully done for the 60's scenery is breathtaking. This movie is taken from a real story of the Von Trappe Family during the war times. Great for any age. A true classic film.

The Rocketeer

Cute movie about a young man ( Bill Campbell) who find a suit with a jet pack on it hid. He tries it on. He doesn't know it belongs to Howard Hughes and the Nazi's are after it. This is a good movie taken from the comic book. I like the chemistry between the character. Bill Campbell (cousin of Bruce Campbell-Evil Dead) does a wonderful job as the Rocketeer.

Mary Poppins
Mary Poppins(1964)

One of my favorite childhood movies and musicals. The music is classic Disney. I remember being chorus years later in elementary school singing these songs. Good movie to share with your children and grandchildren

Dick Tracy
Dick Tracy(1990)
½

Good comic book hero brought to life. All star cast Warren Beatty, Madonna, Glenne Headly, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Dick Van Dyke etc. The list could go on but I want bore you.
The darkness and color remind me of a Tim Burton film. This movie isn't a great movie, but it is entertaining. This is a movie you can sit down and watch with your children and not worry about language or nudity. You do have MaDonna as Breathless Mahoney who is seductive, but okay for kids it doesn't go anywhere.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
½

This is the classic movie about an inventor that fixes up an old car. Through the imaginations of the inventor, his children, and his lady friend the car floats in the ocean and flies through the air. Great movie for children and adults alike.

Dracula
Dracula(1931)
½

This is the first time Bram Strokers Dracula was made into a movie. If you like classic horror movies this is the movie for you. Lugosi is awesome as Count Dracula. It is easy to see how you could easily be taken under his spell. Great movie.

The Wolf Man
The Wolf Man(1941)
½

A classic horror movie about werewolf that terrorizes a small village. I hope the remake with Benico Del Toro does it justice.

½

Comedy meets Horror. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello are two baggage handlers who come across the corpse of Dracula (Bela Lugosi) and Frankenstein's monster (Glenn Strange). When they get to the wax museum, the monsters come to life. The Monster is growing weak and his master Dracula has devised the perfect plan to restore his virility, by taking the Lou's brain.
This a funny movie if you like the classics. Also look for Lon Chaney as the Wolfman.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry discovers that much of the wizarding world, including the Ministry of Magic, is in denial about Lord Voldemort's return. The Order of the Phoenix, a group sworn against Voldemort, is using its vast array of wizards and witches magical abilities to combat Voldemort.
This new teacher, Professor Umbridge, implies strict new teachings and rules, forcing a group of students to form a club, by the name of Dumbledore's Army. Harry is not only a student of magic, but he also teaches his fellow students.
The movies are now getting dark which are more interesting to older adults.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
½

Harry is too young to enter, but his name is called out from the Goblet of Fire. Harry insists that he never placed his name in there. People don't believe him.
This movie has some great underwater sequences. For Twilight fans this is your first glimpse of Robert Pattinson. If you blink you might miss him.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
½

Harry finds a book saying, "This book is the property of the Half Blood Prince," it helps Harry in class when he makes potions which are dangerous and somewhat spooky at times. Harry and Dumbledore work together to find out the weakness and past of Voldemort.
I am not a big fan of Harry Potter, but I thought this one was the best. It had a darker theme. I had more humor. The visuals were great. It's more adult than the earlier movies, because the teenager are getting older.

Blade
Blade(1998)

Action packed, but I wish the script would have been a little more interesting where you could get into the characters more. Still a good movie and entertaining. Wesley Snipes is good.

Blade II
Blade II(2002)
½

Better than the original. The storyline is more engaging. You care more about what's going on with the characters.

Blade: Trinity

Okay, not great. Storyline could use some help. What's good about it? Ryan Reynolds as an ex vampire that is mortal again. Like Ryan but he couldn't save this movie.

Bones: Season 4
½

This was a great season. I don't know if I like where the story is going. I like Seeley and Tepperance as partners, but I don't know about lovers. Seeley is a catholic man who believes in his faith and Tepperance doesn't know what to believe. She is always trying analize everything, instead of just opening herself up and trying to understand. As a team they are awesome, as lovers it's iffy.

The Return of Jafar

That 70s Show - Season 2

As I watch this show I remember people who I went to school with that was like Kelso, Eric, and Hyde. The guy like Kelso was the cutest boy in school. All the girls loved him, but he wasn't the smart. It didn't matter he still got all the ladies. The guy like Eric was a straight A student, cute, but a little bit of nerd. Girls liked him, too. Then we have the guy like Hyde. He would come to school high most of the time. If he wasn't high he was talking about it. I can truly relate this show, because I saw it in the real life in my High School.

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump(1994)

This a great movie with a wonderful cast. Living in the south I have known people like Forest. Seeing the world through rose colored glasses. The movie reminds us to look for the good in others.

A League of Their Own
½

This a great movie about women in sports. One my favorite line is when Tom Hanks says,"There's no crying in baseball." This is almost the women's verison of Bull Durham. Not to say it is like it, just that it a baseball film with women playing the game instead of men.

Turner and Hooch
½

Funny movie about a policeman who is forced to take care of the only witness to a murder, a big dog.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
½

I liked this movie, but I didn't love it. Brendan Frazier return. He did a terrific job. Maria Bello took over the role of Evie she did good, but I miss Rachel. Jet Li is the mummy in this movie he was good. To me the movie was just okay. It was somewhat entertaining. It was a good idea, but something was missing. It was as exciting as the other two.

The Mummy Returns
½

Good, but not a good as the original. It was very entertaining. Nice to see the Rock as a villian in the movie. Great CGI on the Scorpion King. It looked just like the Rock. I loved their pilot he was funny.

School of Rock
½

This is my favorite Jack Black movie. I love music and both my children were in the High School Marching Band. So this movie interested me alot. Jack Black did a wonderful job as an unemployed musician that gets a job as a teacher. He starts teaching the children about music and they form their on band. Awesome movie.

King Kong(2005)

Decent remake of the original. Good cast. Great Director Peter Jackson.

The Mummy
The Mummy(1999)

Great movie. Brendan and Rachel are awesome. CGI great, when the mummy transforms. I like it, because it was action, adventure, horror, romance, and comedy rolled into one.

Be Kind Rewind

Cute movie about a man (Def) who is left in charge of the video store while the owner is away. His friend (Black) comes into the store and accidently erases all the movies. Together they try to remake the movies themselves.

Kung Fu Panda
½

Okay. Not one of my favorites. Entertaining and funny. Jack Black was perfect for the role as Po.

Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten
½

Good docementary on the life and music of Joe Strummer.

Angel - Season 1
½

Okay I would like to personally say that Angel (David Boreanaz) has to be the sexiest vampire ever. Sorry Twilight/Edward fans, but Angel is way hotter.

Angel - Season 2
½

Angel is back for another year. I love this series. I gets better and better.

Angel - Season 3
½

The crime fighting, demon slashing, good looking vampire is back for another season. Great!

Bones - Season 2
½

The more I watch the show the more I am hooked.

Angel - Season 4
½

Great season Cordilea (sp?) is not so innocent in this one.

Angel - Season 5
½

Last season kinda made me sad. I enjoyed Angel and Spike teaming up.

Bones - Season 1
½

I am so glad to see David back. Instead being a sexy vampire, he's a sexy FBI agent. He is so good. Emily I have seen in several movies "The Red Rose" and a small role in "Spiderman 2" the secretary that orders the pizzas. Since he's a couple minutes late she doesn't pay for them. In this season their chemistry is a little iffy, but it gets better. One of the best Fox shows for the 2005 season.

Bones - Season 3
½

Another great season. What I didn't like was saying, bye to Zack. I liked his character, the genius with the answers. He looked like he just got out of college, but in fact he's really in his mid-30's.

A Lot Like Love

I liked this movie it was cute. I felt it needed more character development. More excitement.

Guess Who
Guess Who(2005)
½

I think this a very cute movie. Ashton and Bernie had great chemistry. Sometimes they didn't have to speak. Their facial expressions made me laugh.

Short Circuit 2
½

Sequel was cute, but not as good as the original.

Short Circuit

Not a great movie, but a cute movie. Doesn't Johnny Five remind you of Wall e

Field of Dreams
½

This is my favorite of all the Kevin Costner movies. My husband also loves the movie, but can not watch the last 15 minutes. I love James Earl Jones laugh in the movie. It makes me laugh.

Bull Durham(1988)
½

I am not a fan of sports, but I do like some movies about sports. This is one of those movies. It sports for the men and romance for the women great movie.

The Untouchables
½

Great movie. I think this is one of the best movie I have seen on Eliot Ness bringing down the mob. Great performances by Kevin Costner, Robert De Niro, and Sean Connery.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
½

I know alot of critics did not like this movie. I did. I know Kevin Costner did not speak in an English Accent. It was more like a proper accent, but I did like the movie. I love Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham, I think he is my favorite character from the movie.

The Princess Bride
½

I love this movie. It is one of my all time favorites. Wesley and Buttercup what a love story.lol

Robin Hood: Men in Tights
½

Cute movie. I liked the part where Robin (Elwes) says, "Unlike some Robin Hoods I can speak with an English Accent." making a joke about Kevin Costner's Robin.

The Karate Kid
½

This is my favorite in the Karate Kid movies. Daniel is a boy that moves to California with his mom. He has trouble with the local teens. He meets the hotel maintenance man who helps to learn how to defend himself. He does chores for Mr. Miyagi not knowing it is helping him strenghen his muscles, helping focus, and helping with his balance. It is a great movie.

The Karate Kid Part II
½

This sequel not as good as the first. It shows the relationship bond Daniel and Mr Miyagi have. Daniel goes to Japan with Mr Miyagi. Mr. M's father is very sick. Mr M runs into an old friend out for revenge. Daniel also has trouble with the nephew of the friend. They support and help each other. It is a good movie, but not like the first.

The Karate Kid, Part III
½

This sequel was not as good as the first two. It has lost it's magic. The storyline was weak.

Home for the Holidays
½

Cute movie directed by Jodie Foster. It is about dyfunctional family at the holidays. The best scenes are with Robert Downey Jr he is so funny.

Beauty and the Beast
½

Beautifully done fairytale. Great music. This is a story about looking beyond a persons looks, flaws, and finding true love. Timeless and for the whole family.

The Devil Wears Prada
½

Great movie. Meryl Streep is always does an awesome job playing a b**ch. Anne Hathaway is very good as her assistant.

Rachel Getting Married
½

This is an interesting movie about a woman that is released from rehab to attend her sister's wedding. Anne Hathaway is awesome. We have never seen her in a character like this one. I have mainly based my rating on her performance. The movie to me was interesting, but sometimes hard to follow. It was film like a reality show. This is like a real family going through a crisis while getting ready for a wedding. It is worth watching.

The Producers
½

This is okay, but not great. It lost something from Broadway to film. Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Uma Thurman, and Will Ferrell do a good job, but it just doesn't deliver. I think the deletes scenes are better than the movie.

The Lion King 1 1/2
½

This movies gives us a view of the first movie from the eyes of Timon and Pumbaa. I loved the original movie, but it wasn't the same for me. It lost something in this version.

The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
½

I loved the original, but this one let me down. It still had most of the original cast. The music was still good. I just didn't care for it as much.

Project X
Project X(1987)
½

This a good movie. It is about an Air Force Pilot (Matthew Broderick) that risks everything to save a monkey from experiments that the Air Force wants to do on him. Helen Hunts plays an expert in teaches sign language to chimps, who helps him.

The Lion King

I love this movie. I am almost 50, but I'm a kid at heart. I think this one of the best Disney movies made. The music is awesome. My favorite song is "Can you feel the love tonight" by Elton John. I wish the sequels had been as good.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Playback
½

Great music videos from a great band. It has Johnny Depp and Faye Dunaway in the video "Into the great wide open." They were taking a break from the movie "Arizona Dreams," and agreed to be in the video.

Barry Gibb - Now Voyager
½

This movie is a basically an 80 minute music video from Barry Gibb's solo album Now Voyager it was filmed in England and Saint Petersburg, Florida at the Don Cesar Hotel. The music is well written not something you would expect out of Barry, best known as the oldest of the Brother Gibb (Bee Gees). It's about a man that has a fight with his wife and leaves for a concert. On the way he has a car wreck. When he gets out of the car he sees a man drowning. He jumps out of the car to save him. As he comes out of the water he is in a pool. The man talks to him about his life, what he could loose. It is not the greatest movie, but it is decent.
Yes, I am a closet Bee Gees fan. I had a crush on Barry when I was 8 years old, way before Saturday Night Fever and the whole disco phase.

Pocahontas
Pocahontas(1995)
½

History is not exactly true in this movie, it is a great movie. John Smith is played Mel Gibson, who knew he could carry a tune? The music is awesome. If you listen very closely you can hear a young Christian Bale's voice in the character of Thomas. A great movie for the whole family.

Newsies
Newsies(1992)
½

I really wanted to love this movie, but I didn't. The best thing about the movie was the music and the cast. For all us that love Batman it has a 19 year old Christian Bale singing and dancing. Yes he can sing and dance. I just felt it needed more story to it.

Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World

Sequel to the first Pocahontas. It was okay, but not great. Like the first one the history was not correct. John Smith is back, but not played by Mel Gibson. Donal Gibson was the voice very close, but you could tell it wasn't Mel. John Roth was played by Billy Zane (Titanic). The story takes place as Pocahontas leaves her home and goes to England. Which in history she did do? Alot was written different for children to be entertained.

Alice in Wonderland

I remember watching this movie when I was 3 and the cheshere cat scared me.I think it was is big smile. I really don't remember why. I love the movie and so do my children.

Cinderella
Cinderella(1950)

This is my favorite Cinderella movie of them all. I love how the little mice help her. Great animation for it's time. Classic movie for children of all ages.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella

Where can we start with this one. The music is wonderful. The acting pretty good. Casting was good, but how can a White King (Victor Garber) and an African American Queen (Whoopi Goldberg) give birth to a Phillipino Prince (Paolo Montalban) that my only question. It was very entertaining.

Cinderella
Cinderella(1965)
½

I loved this movie when I was a little girl. It's not the greatest movie, but it's good. I watched this movie when I was four years old. I still remember the songs 45 years later. In my own little corner,in my own little chair and 10 seconds ago I saw you. Boys will not like this movie, but little girls will love it.

The Man in the Iron Mask
½

Good retelling of the 3 Musketeers. Great cast Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, and Gerald Depardeu. Everyone did a great job, but Gerald made me laugh.

Romeo + Juliet

This is the retelling Romeo and Juliet using William Shakespeare's words into todays times. I liked the movie, but didn't love it. Leonardo and Claire Danes did a wonderful job. Baz Luhrmann directed it(Chicago, Australia, etc) I love William's words it just didn't fit the movie well.

The Aviator
The Aviator(2004)
½

This movie is a pretty good story of Howard Hughes it could have been better. It stars Leo as Howard Hughes, Cate Blancett as Katharine Hepburn, Kate Beckensale as Ava Gardner etc. Acting was great. Martin Scorsese directed. The DiCaprio/Scorsese team did good, but had some slow parts. It was interesting and being a person that loves History a found sometimes the story wasn't completely true, but Hollywood does that to try to make it more interesting.

The Beach
The Beach(2000)
½

I loved the trailer to this movie, but I was disappointed and let down when I saw it.

The Departed
The Departed(2006)
½

Great gangster movies starring some of my favorite actors Leo, Jack Nicholson, and Matt Damon. This is another Scorsese/Dicaprio team effort. This time they hit gold.

Catch Me If You Can

Steven Spielberg directed starring Leonardo Dicaprio, Tom Hanks, Christopher Walken, and Martin Sheen. Great Director, Great Cast, Great Movie.

Once Bitten
Once Bitten(1985)

23 year old Jim Carrey plays a teenager that wants to loose his virginity to his girl friend, but shes not ready. He goes to a singles club with his friends. He meets an older woman. When police raids the club she takes him home. She starts biting his buttons off one by one. He wakes up on the couch thinking he has been with woman. He later finds out he's still a virgin and she's a vampire.

Earth Girls Are Easy

Cute movie about aliens that land in a pool. Jim Carrey plays one of the aliens. He is all in fur when they shave him he is a cute blonde surfer dude time.

The Mask
The Mask(1994)
½

This is my favorite Jim Carrey movie. He is so cute and funny. Cameron Diaz stars in this movie also. I love the part when he sings in the street with the police officers.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
½

This is one of my favorite movies of the 80's. Matthew Broderick is adorable as Ferris Bueller. I like the scene where he is singing on the float in the parade. I also like how his sister helps him out with the principle. Cute movie I love it.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
½

Two things I like Jim Carrey and Animals. Cute movie.

Ace Ventura - When Nature Calls

Not as good as the original, but very cute movie.

The Cable Guy
½

I love Jim Carrey, but I didn't love the movie

Dumb and Dumber
½

I love this movie. It is so funny. Jim and Jeff are two idiots with a heart of gold. It's a classic.

Liar Liar
Liar Liar(1997)
½

Great movie about a Lawyer who can't lie after his son makes a wish and blows out his birthday candle. The movie is funny when he tells the truth it makes his job harder. One of my favorite scenes is when he tells his son he loves him. He says it's true because I could lie for the last 30 minutes. It is very cute.

The Truman Show

Have you ever had the feeling someone was watching you? In the Truman Show they are. They have followed him from birth to adult. This has got to be one of the most creative ideas for a movie. Jim Carrey does an excellent job. If you haven't seen it watch it.

Man on the Moon
½

Jim does a wonderful job in capturing Andy Kaufman. It is almost like watching Andy come back to life.

The Majestic
The Majestic(2001)
½

This movie wasn't bad. I liked it. I felt it needed more story. More happiness it was sad. The highlight of the movie was the movie Peter Appleton had made with a cameo of funny Bruce Campbell.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas
½

Not the best book to movie. Too many changes in the movie from the book, but Jim Carrey is awesome as the Grinch.

Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!
½

Love it. Good job bringing Dr Seuss book life. Alot better than the Cat in the hat. Great cast of voices.

The Evil Dead

This is a great cult classic. Yes the special effects are bad, but it has everything you want in a horror movie. Ghouls, gorey and on a very low budget. The added bonus it is funny. Sam Raimi directed and a very cute 21 year old Bruce Campbell stars in it. Bruce may have changed in the last 30 years, but he still makes me laugh. (Spiderman 3 the French Waiter)

Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn

Bruce Campbell is back Ash in this sequel to Evil Dead. In this one a people are trapped in a cabin while ancient evil lurks outside and threatens a fate worse than death. Can br Ash save them or will his dead girlfriend come back to cause more trouble? Watch it and see.

Army of Darkness

Okay before I get any flack on this movie. I know it's a cult classic with bad special effects, but I love the movie. Bruce Campbell got in shape for this movie. Sam Rami directed it. One of my favorite lines is when Ash (Campbell) says "You don't know Jack Sh**, and Jack just left." It may not sound funny by reading it, but the way Bruce says it is funny.

An American Werewolf in London

This is one different types of horror movies. You see a man transform into a werewolf and another man walking around with his flesh decaying. It is so gross. The special effects are good for their time. If you like horror movies check it out.

The Proposal
The Proposal(2009)

This movie was cute. Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock were funny. Betty White who plays the grandmother was a hoot. I would like to know what happens next.

Freddy vs. Jason

Two of the kings of horror join up for some more slashing. They have their own battle. I enjoyed Freddy's wink also. Pretty good movie.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

Still no way near as good as the first one, but okay. Freddy is still alive with killing on his mind, but in a comedic way.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
½

Alot better than the second one. In this one seven teenagers are in a hospital. They have been having nightmares about Freddy. They go into the hospital to have their sleep monitored hoping to keep Freddy away. That does not stop Freddy from terrorizing and killing them.

Independence Day

This is one of my favorite Will Smith movies. I think it needed more character development and a little more added to the storyline. The special effects were good. I like to see Will kick butt.

Men in Black
Men in Black(1997)

Great movie. I like the chemistry between Will and Tommy Lee. Will plays his character as a cockey cop with a "tude "to a tee. Tommy Lee I love this guy. He is serious, but the looks he gives and what he says makes me laugh. As they work closer together the cockeness and the attitude is not so intense. They learn to work as a team.

Men in Black II

Not as good as the first one. It was entertaining. I love Tommy Lee Jones he is funny, but he is serious when he does it. If you blink you will miss a cameo by Michael Jackson may he finally rest in peace.

I Am Legend
I Am Legend(2007)

Will gives a great performance in this movie. It has adventure it also has alot of sadness.

Hancock
Hancock(2008)

Pretty good action hero movie. I felt the storyline could have been better. I was a little disappointed.

Dirty Dancing

This is another Patrick Swayze movie I love. I love the music and the dancing. I like the tender love story between Baby and Johnny.

Ghost
Ghost(1990)
½

This is my favorite Patrick Swayze movie. Sam and Mollie are a young couple in love. Sam never says he loves her. When she tells him I love you he always says ditto. Sam gets killed on the way home one night, but his spirit stays on earth. He knows that Mollie is in danger, but he can't tell her. He finds a forture teller played by Whoopie Goldberg to help him. This movie is a touching romantic movie, but also a drama. I think the point is when you die the love you have for that person stays with you.

North and South - Book 1
½

This the first book of the series. Patrick Swayze plays Orly Main a man that has grown up with his his family in South Carolina. James Read plays Hazard that was raised in the North. They meet each other and become friends. When war breaks out they find themselves fighting against each other.

North and South Book 2: Love and War
½

This the second book in the series. This mini series starts off where the last one ended. The Hazards and the Mains try to put their differences away because they are now family, but fighting against each other, because of where they live.

Left Behind II - Tribulation Force
½

This the second in the series it starts one week after the last movie ended. People are starting to listen to the new President of the United Nations Nicolae Carpathia (Gordon Currie)Buck's friend (played by his wife Chelsea Noble) has gone a job working for Nicolae. The people listen to whatever Nicolae says. He is brain washing them into thinking like him.
Meanwhile Buck (Cameron), Ray (Johnson), Ray's daughter Chloe (Janaya Stephens) and their Pastor Bruce Barnes (Clarence Gilyard) start a mission called the "Tribulation Force." to open the world to the truth and not listen to Nicolae.
This movie is also very good. These movies are made to open your eyes to the word of God.

Left Behind: World at War
½

This is the last of the Left Behind movies for now. This one continues where the second one left off. Nicolae grows more and more powerful as Buck, Chloe, Ray, Pastor Barnes fight to bring him down.
Lou Gossett Jr joins the cast as President Gerald Fizlugh. Nicolae fails to have the President assassinated. Which opens Fizlugh to the sinster conspiracy and he must come to terms that WWIII is trying become a reality. His dream of peace has left America powerless. He must rely on faith in God and friends to help America through this time.
These movie are not meant to be like Star Trek or any other blockbuster they are meant for us to open our eyes and look at what is happening in the world. It also tells us that our relationship with God is the most important gift we have. We need to share it. Faith gets you through the hardest times. God is always there to listen.

Left Behind: The Movie
½

I know the critics don't like this series of movies. I think their problem is they think every movie has to have big box office names and a big budget to be good. I admit these movies could be a little better, but I think the message it tries to get across comes out loud and clear.
I first saw this movie and the store I bought it because of the Left Behind Book Series. I also remember Kirk Cameron from tv. Before I watched the movie I knew what it was about so it wasn't a big suprise.
As the movie started Buck Williams (Cameron) is interviewing oversea when planes start exploding above their heads. They quick run underground to safety. Buck being the reporter his runs back outside and starts to do a live broadcast when and man shows up dressed from Bible days and begins to speak to him.
On the way back to the US. Buck notices people disappearing from plane and they are no where to be found. The pilot takes Buck home with him. Ray (Brad Johnson) finds his home empty all that's left is his wife's clothes and bible and their sons clothes. They find out people are disappearing without a trace. Ray's daughter returns home. Buck, Ray and his daughter look for clues on what has happened.
The answers are all found in books in the bible. The life's of the people left behind are changed and they work together to find the answers.

Halloween H2O

Jamie Lee is back. I though finally another awesome Halloween. It wasn't what I was hoping for. It wasn't bad it just wasn't at the edge of your seat exciting.

Terror Train
Terror Train(1980)

Not one of the best horror movies, but one that makes you think. I like David Copperfield saw him live twice. My son and I were in his show in Chattanooga. He is a wonderful illusionist. So he plays his character wonderfully. Jamie is wonderful, they don't call her the scream queen for nothing.

Halloween II
Halloween II(1981)

Not as thrilling as the first. A little predictable. Still better than the 2009 remake.

Halloween
Halloween(1978)

The best Halloween is the original. I know it doesn't have todays special effects, but it doesn't need them. It's scary, thrilling, and you can't take your eyes off the screen. What is Michael Myers going to do next? That's the question you ask yourself. The scene when he is shot and falls of the balcony, you think that's the end. When camera shots back to the ground and he's gone. You think Oh crap! Great movie.

Rain Man
Rain Man(1988)
½

The best Tom Cruise movie ever. Dustin Hoffman always awesome. This is about man who takes care of his brother that has autism. I like how they show how intellgent Dustin's character is. I am a teacher of small children. I have worked several times with children with autism. It sometimes seems like they are not listening to us, but they are. Their minds are constantly working, they are highly intellgent. When you have a break through and start to communicate it's like a light has been turned on. It is a beautiful wonderful story.

Interview with the Vampire
½

Movie was good. I think it would have been better if the actors had switched roles. It followed the book close. Worth watching.

The Outsiders
½

Cute movie with an all star cast of up coming super star actors. Set in the 60's with rival gangs, bloodshed, and death. Francis Ford Coppola did a good job, but I wish it would have been more exciting less violent.

Top Gun
Top Gun(1986)
½

I love the music. The movie is good also.

Legend
Legend(1985)
½

Cute movie, but not great. Good movie for children.

½

The movie looked good. Trailer was awesome. When I rented it wasn't as good as I anticipated. Denzel was awesome as always. Storyline needed help.

Armageddon
Armageddon(1998)

I love this movie. Soundtrack is awesome. I love Aerosmith's version of "I don't want to miss a thing" All performances were wonderful. I laugh everytime I see Steve Buchemi(sp?) starts taking about staying in space, because he knows he owns money. I love Bear he is awesome. Great movie.

Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor(2001)
½

I love History. I watched this movie for the History. The fictional part was okay, I just can't see how some could be so deeply in love with someone and then the next minute be sleeping with his best friend. I know she though Ben's character was dead, but that is no excuse. The battle sequences were awesome, best part of the movie.

Remember the Titans

I love this movie. It shows that if you work together no matter what your differences are you can succeed. Great performances by Denzel Washington, Will Paxton, and a very young Hayden Panettiere

Black Hawk Down

Black Hawk Down is a true story of Delta Force fighting in Somalia in 1993. It constant action all through the movie. Very bloody. It is a great movie. It stars Josh Harnett, Eric Bana, Ewan Mc Gregor, and Orlando Bloom in a small role as Blackburn.

The Mask of Zorro

Best of the two Zorro movies. Antonio and Catherine have great chemistry. The special effects and stunts are awesome. I love the scene where makes his x and Elena clothes fall off. It is funny. I also love the stunt riding on the horse. Great entertaining movie.

Desperado
Desperado(1995)

This the sequel to "El Mariachi." It is played this time by Antonio Banderas big improvement. It has just enough action and Selma in it for the guys. It has smooth talking Antonio for us ladies.

The Legend of Zorro
½

Antonio is back as Zorro. I loved the first movie, but this one was not as good. Catherine was still beautiful.

The Wizard of Oz

I first saw the Wizard of Oz when I was 6 years old. When Dorothy walks out the door and everything is in color, being a small child I thought it was pure magic. It is a masterpiece for all ages. I am 49 and I still love the movie.

Gone With the Wind

This movie was taken from the book written by Margaret Mitchell about the south during the burning of Atlanta. I first saw this movie when I was 9 years old. They played at a theater in Chattanooga for school children. I was glued to the movie. I saw in 1970 and I thought the colors in the movie were so beautiful. The sunsets were breath taking. Clark Gable was wonderful as Rhett Butler and Viven Leigh was as beautiful as an angel as the spoiled Scarlett O'hara. My mom told me this was the first time damn was used in a movie. I love that scene. Rhett was angry with Scarlett for her ways. Rhett was leaving her and she said "Where will I go, what will I do." He replied "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." When he said that all of the school children stood up and cheered.

The Terminator
½

Great movie. I had never seen a movie like this one. Action and special effects were awesome. Arnold wonderful. We first hear "I will be back" in this movie. I loved the movie.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

The best of the best. This is my favorite Terminator. T3 was the worst.

True Lies
True Lies(1994)

This is a good movie. It has drama, comedy, and adventure, just what I love in a film. One of my favorite scenes is when Jamie dances in her underwear. She tries to be sexy and she's very climpsy and awkward. It makes me laugh to think about it.

Point Break
Point Break(1991)

Keanu and Patrick were great together in the movie. Patrick as the bad guy and Keanu as the FBI agent who tries to bring him down.

Titanic
Titanic(1997)

One of my favorite movies. Leo and Kate are wonderful in the movie. Although the movie leads are fictional, the Titanic was real. Being a history lover first drew me to this movie. I love how the real filming of the Titanic underwater transforming into the ship. As I watch the film i can't help but think about all the lives that were lost on this ship. My husband lost a great great uncle. He was in 3rd class. He also worked on the ship. He was trying to come back to America to his family.

Pretty Woman
Pretty Woman(1990)

I love this movie. It is a modern Cinderella story. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts have great chemistry. She looks very beautiful after she goes shopping. I personally know how she felt when she went in the store and the ladies (if we can call them that) looked down their noses at her just because of the way she looked and was dressed. I have had the same experience, being overweight people treat you don't exsist or you are not worthy of being in their store. It's not the outside people it what you have inside that counts. I think this is one of the best love stories on film.

Duplicity
Duplicity(2009)

This movie was not interesting to me. I love Julia Roberts, but the movie bored me with all the corprate talk. If some of the mumbo jumbo would have been left out I would have liked the movie better.

My Best Friend's Wedding

This is a great movie. Julia beautiful as always plays a woman that has a pack with her best friend that they will marry if they don't find their soulmate at a certain age. One night she recieves a telephone call from her friend. She finds out he's engaged. She wants to win him back. She tries to break them up. If you haven't seen it, rent it's wonderful.

The Final Destination
½

This needs to be the FINAL Destination. The movie wasn't bad. It was just the same thing. They were a little more creative on how to kill people. I just feel some movies should stop while they are ahead. Example:Saw

The Matrix Revolutions

I wasn't happy with this one. It's okay. I didn't like the ending.

The Matrix Reloaded

Good sequel. Not as good as the first, but still good.

The Matrix
The Matrix(1999)
½

Keanu Reeves best movie. Great effects. I love the slow motion sequences. I never seen anything like it.

Lady Jane
Lady Jane(1986)
½

This is the story of the youngest Queen Lady Jane Grey. She was only Queen for 7 days. Somethings are not based on fact. That's Hollywood for you. I saw this movie, because grandmother was a decendent of the Brandons on Lady Jane's mother's side. As I watched I thought about what would be like to be that young and stand up strongly for your beliefs knowing what conquences it may cause. I am proud of her although she had a short reign and life.

Babes in Toyland

This a cute movie. Drew Barrymore plays a pre teen that has forgotten what is like to be a kid. She is in accident and dreams she is in a land where toys come to life. This also stars a young Keanu Reeves as Jack Spratt and Pat Morita as the Toymaker. This actually a remake from movie in the 60's with same name.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

This is my kids favorite movie when they were small. It's a sweet story about an alien that gets left on earth and has to find his way back home. It's good movie, it's heartwarming and funny. Drew Barrymore is so cute in this movie.

The Wedding Singer

I love this movie. It is set in the 80's so you hear some 80's music. Adam Sadler plays a man sings at wedding receptions. On the day he is to get married he gets dumped by his fiancee. Julia (Drew) ask him to help her plan her wedding. He is down on weddings and start singing at Bar Mitzais (sp?). He starts to fall for Julia and he finds out her boyfriend cheats on her. It's good movie.

Ever After: A Cinderella Story

This is the great retelling of one of my favorite fairytales. Drew Barrymore plays Danielle, her father died when she was young and she was raise by her stepmother and her daughters. She does all the chores, while the others shop and do nothing. They have sold belongs to make money. One day she meets a man she does not know is the prince at the time. They have a friendship that grows into love. You know how it ends.

The Sixth Sense

Another great movie from M. Night. A movie that has an unexpected ending. We hear the line. "I see dead people." Watch it it will make you think.

Buried Secret Of M. Night Shyamalan
½

This is a documentary on M Night Shyamalan. It talks about his childhood. This was around the time he was filming the movie "The Village." M will not give an interview so the guy talks to a person on the internet, his neighbors, and even has an interview with Johnny Depp. Johnny was in talks to do "Signs." He turned it down. It is weird, but you find out things that make you scratch your head. If you are a fan, but never watched it you should see it. It's not a big movie. I think it was on the SciFi Channel. Check it out.

Unbreakable
Unbreakable(2000)
½

Bruce Willis back. This movie will make jump, think, but you can't take your eyes off the screen.

Maverick
Maverick(1994)

A great remake of the TV show. It's great to see the old Maverick James Garner in the movie. It was entertaining and fun.

Braveheart
Braveheart(1995)

Mel Gibson is excellent as the legendary William Wallace. He put his heart and soul into this role and you can tell it.

Night at the Museum

Very cute movie for the family.

Signs
Signs(2002)

This movie was one of M Night's best movie. Mel Gibson was awesome as a priest that lost his faith in God after the death of his wife. Joaquin Phoenix plays his brother ex baseball player that helps him raise his children. Abigail B plays his daughter. She is so adorable she steals the movie from the adults. This movie is spooky it will make you jump. It is a great movie.

Back to the Future Part III
½

Great sequel. I loved them going back to the old west. Doc finding his true love. Marty pretending to be Clint Eastwood. Marty wearing his nikes and moonwalking to Billie Jean. ZZ Top performing. It was awesome.

Back to the Future Part II

Not as good as the first one or third one but entertaining. Going into the future and seeing his family was great. Michael Fox as a teenager girl. He was pretty, but he had thunder thighs(lol). Going back to the 50's with same scenes from a different angle and not the same actors. I missed Crispin Glover. I wished he would have decided to be in movies.

Back to the Future

I love movies from the 80's and so do my chidren. Michael J Fox play 17 year old which is convincing even tho he is 24. Back in 1985 I looked younger. I had a hard time getting into an R rated movie. Everyone though I was 15. My husband said maybe we need our marriage license also. This movie is wonderful I can not think of anyone else to play Marty or Doc. It is one of my favorites.

Saturday Night Fever

Great dancing and great music. Best movie and soundtrack of 1977.

Grease
Grease(1978)

One of my favorite Broadway musicals put to film. John is great. After seeing him dance SNF, I was wondering can he sing? He wasn't the strongest singer, but he can carry a tune and hold a note. Olivia Newton John was perfect for the wholesome Sandy. Never knew how slim she was until she walked out in her leather pants. This simply wonderfully done. Great music. Frankie Valli (Grease) and Frankie Avalon (Beauty School Dropout) wonderful voices from the 60's.

American Graffiti

This movie is the first movie I ever saw Harrison Ford in. He had a cowboy hat on. He was cute, a smart a** bad boy. Why do we always fall for the bad boy? The music is early 60's. I can relate a little to this movie. I was born 1960. I remember the music. It is a good movie about teenagers going to their prom, drag racing, falling in love etc. It's worth watching more than once.

Hairspray
Hairspray(2007)

John Travolta as a woman. Yuck! Christopher Walken as the husband (lol) Great music. John Walters takes us back to the days of the original dance shows. (Like American Bandstand/Soul Train) Good movie.

Ghostbusters 2

Little Oscar is so cute. The whole cast is back. It's amazing everyone come back. My daughter hasn't found this one on Blueray. She was born the year this one come out. What do you to beat Stay Puft? You get the Statue of Liberty to help you out. Cute movie.

Ghostbusters (1984 Original)

I loved this movie when it was at the theater. When I saw Stay Puff I laughed so hard. Some of the expressions on Bill Murray's face you can't help but laugh. My daughter just bought it in Blueray. My children love the 80's movies. Both are in their 20's. My oldest was one when this come out. He can't wait for GB3.

Face/Off
Face/Off(1997)

Awesome, awesome movie. Nicolas and John have each others mannerisms down to a tea. Although the faces have switched bodies (in the movie) You would believe you are watching Nicolas Cage, but you are seeing John Travolta. It is great.

Con Air
Con Air(1997)

Con Air is good movie with a good cast. Some of the storyline isn't realistic, but it's pretty good. Worst part of the movie is Nicolas' southern accent. He talks so slow you can almost finish his lines for him. All in all it is a very entertaining movie.

National Treasure

Great adventure movie for the whole family.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

I liked this movie. I guess because I like Indiana Jones. This is almost like a modern day story of an Indy wanna be. I love the different places they travel, because I will never get that chance, I love to see it in movies. I also like how they find the clues that leads them to their treasure.

Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider(2007)

This movie was alright. The storyline wasn't very good. Although I think Nicolas Cage is a good actor, I think he was the wrong person for the part. He didn't make the character seem real. I would like to say the special effects for the Ghost Rider was awesome.

Shrek
Shrek(2001)

Cute movie. I like donkey. He's got an attude. He is just a smart a**. Well what do you expect from Eddie Murphy.

Shrek 2
Shrek 2(2004)
½

This is my favorite Shrek. Puss in Boots is so cute. I love cats. When I heard Antonio Banderas voice come out, it made the cat more adorable.

Shrek the Third
½

Not my favorite. I didn't like this one as much as the other ones. My favorite character is Puss in Boots. He is so cute.

Somewhere in Time

Beautiful movie. We know it could never happen. Someone going back in time and meeting their soul mate. I made a great movie. Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour have great chemistry. They look like they belong together.

Superman
Superman(1978)

Great movie. They picked an awesome actor for the part of Clark Kent/Superman. Not bad effects for the 70's. Good storyline. Great to see Marlon Brando in a movie. Best Superman movie made.

Superman II
Superman II(1981)

Not as good as the first one, but a great sequel. Christopher Reeve has done it again.

Superman Returns

Not a bad updated Superman. Brandon Routh could almost pass for Christopher Reeve with his blue contacts. Can't wait for the sequel.

Spider-Man
Spider-Man(2002)

Finally Spiderman makes it to the big screen. I worried how the costume would look or would be a good movie. It was a great movie. The costume was awesome. Tobey did a great job as Peter Parker.

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2(2004)

More action. Great sequel. Doc Ock was awesome.

Spider-Man 3
Spider-Man 3(2007)
½

I like this movie, but I didn't like the dark side Peter Parker/Spiderman. Topher Grace was okay, but I felt his performance wasn't a strong one. I didn't like the jealously that MJ had because of Spiderman's fame or the way Peter was letting it go to his head. It was not my favorite of the 3.

Heart and Souls

Cute movie. It is sad and it's also funny. My favorite is when Penny (Alfre Woodward) a ghost gets inside Reilly (RDJr)and he tries to get on stage at a BB King concert. When he acts like her and says "I'm a mother." I think that is so funny. If you haven't seen it rent it. You might get a little emotional, but it will also make you laugh.

Beetlejuice
Beetlejuice(1988)

A Tim Burton masterpiece. Michael Keaton is great as Beetlejuice. The whole cast is wonderful.

Batman
Batman(1989)

Great job by Tim Burton. Jack Nicholson was great as the Joker. He made the character his own.(Heath Ledger made his version of the Joker his own too) Michael Keaton as Batman. At first I thought Mr. Mom and Beetlejuice as Batman? Michael pulled it off. Michael is my favorite Batman.

Big Fish
Big Fish(2003)

This movie was interesting and a little weird, but entertaining. That's Tim Burton and that's why we love his movies. They are different. This is also the first time I remember seeing Marion Cotillard and Billy Crudup in a movie. How lucky can be working with Tim Burton in 2003 and then being in a movie with Johnny Depp in 2009.

Mars Attacks!

Crazy, funny, never serious, lots of fun just what a Tim Burton movie should be.

Batman Returns
½

I liked this movie. It's a little better than the first. It had more action. Michael Keaton was back as Batman. Christopher Walken, plays a great bad guy. He's in a lot of movies being bad. Michelle made a beautiful Catwoman. Danny Devito as the Pequin okay not great.

Batman Begins
½

Good movie. Not as good as the Dark Knight. We know the back story more on how Bruce Wayne becomes Batman. My only problem with this movie was Christian Bale's Batman voice. I just don't like the voice. Christian did a good job as Batman tho.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
½

In this movie we find out why and how Anakin becomes Darth Vadar. I think Hayden's performance was better in this movie. It is the best of the three.

Deep Sea 3D
Deep Sea 3D(2006)

Beautiful views of fish and plant life under the ocean.

Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride

Great documentary on a man that lived the stories he wrote. Some have become movies "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and "Rum Diary" both starring Johnny Depp. Hunter was one of a kind. RIP

Runnin' Down a Dream: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

This a great documentary on a great band. Many celebrities make cameos. Johnny Depp talks about being in the groups video.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Anakin is all grown up and in love with Pad'me. I remember Hayden from another movie "Life is a house." So I knew who he was. Pad'me tries not to fall for Anakin, but it's their destny. Better than the first one.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
½

It's been 22 years since the original Star Wars premiered. We die hard fans eagarly awaited this presequel. We were somewhat disappointed, but the special effects were awesome. We met a 10 year old Anakin Skywalker and we are introduced to 14 year old Queen Amadala (sp?) better know as Pad'me. Also if you blink you will miss Keira Knightley also as the Queen when Pad'me is in her servant clothes. It was not what we were expecting, but the movie was okay and it was entertaining.

Ned Kelly
Ned Kelly(2003)

Orlando and Heath together in this retelling of Ned Kelly was good. Better than the one with Mick Jagger. Yes the guy from the Rolling Stones. At least Orlando and Heath are both handsome. Can't say that for the other guy.

Tropic Thunder

I love these guys Ben, Jack, Robert, and Tom. I am sorry Ben, Jack, and Robert, Tom stole your thunder with his dancing. Everytime I see that it cracks me up.

Kingdom of Heaven

Although critics did not like this movie, I did. Orlando Bloom was really good. He had gained 20 pounds of muscle. He looked great. I wish they would not critize his acting. He's a pretty good actor. I am of my soap box. It has a good message in the movie also.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

This was the last of the Trilogy. It had alot of times you though it's the end so it teased us a little. Great cast. Great telling of the book.

Inside the Actors Studio - Johnny Depp

I enjoyed this. You got to see Johnny natural. You see the pride and love he has for Vanessa (as he says his girl) and Lily Rose. I think it sweet when he talks about how his life changed when Lily Rose was born. I think he said he had met his reason for living. He loves his children.

Elizabethtown
½

Some people hated the movie, but I liked it. Maybe it's because I am from the south. A lot of things I found funny. When he goes to Aunt Dora's house? The family all gathered around, the cooking that reminds me of the south when a passing occurs. Family all gathers around for support. I like the scene with Orlando (Drew) and Paula Deen (Aunt Dora) go to her bedroom to look at family photos and shes says "I normally don't invite good looking guys in my bedroom." I like the part where Kirsten his leaving trying to wake him. Then she looks at him and sighs and says "I am going to miss your lips and everything attached to them." I think my favorite part is the wake where everyone gets up and talks about Drew's dad. The cousin's band plays "Free Bird" the bird flies across the room catches on fire and the sprinklers go off." I laughed it was cute. It's not the greatest movie in the world, but it is a cute movie.

Haven
Haven(2006)

This movie had alot of stories in it that was confusing sometimes. I had a beautiful backdrop the Bahamas. Orlando was a man named Shy who falls for a black girl. Her family doesn't like it and torments him. Shy is a good looking guy and her brother scares his face by throwing acid on it. When you see Orlando's face it looks painful. The movie has good ideas, it needed a better storyline. It's not a great movie, but it's okay.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

This is the best retelling of the series of books. I am so glad that Peter Jackson made this a live action movie. It has only been done in cartoon form. I love the cast. I saw this at the theater when it come out. Some of the actors I had seen before as child stars. Some I had seen in many films. Viggo I had only seen in GI Jane with Demi Moore and Orlando I had seen in the movie Black Hawk Down. When I first saw Orlando I notice the blonde wig, but I knew something else was different. I couldn't figure it out until I saw a close up him and notice the blue contacts. He was still cute. He just reminded me of Princess Zelda from the video game.(lol) The behind the screens on the DVD are awesome. Great film.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Great sequel. Peter Jackson doing great telling the story. The effects are awesome. Cast is great.

Burn After Reading

This movie was funny. I think it could have been better. Maybe less f*bombs. I hate that word. Brad Pitt was so funny, because was not the sharpest tool in the box. When John Malvoich hits him in the nose it is so funny. George Clooney and his machine, he is hoot. cute movie.

Troy
Troy(2004)
½

Brad Pitt plays Achillies and he is in great shape in this movie. Eric Bana plays Hector. He looks good. Orlando Bloom is Paris he looks like a little boy. He was so cute. The movie was good. A little predictable you knew what was going to happen. It was entertaining.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Good movie. I like Brad Pitt (not as much as JD). The acting was good. Casey Affeck is giving big brother Ben some competition in the acting department. The scenery was beautiful. I love history so movies like these appeal to me.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
½

I enjoyed the movie, but it is not one of my favorites. Johnny Depp was offered Brad Pitt's role. Could you imagine Angelina and Johnny together? I am glad he turned it down. I like the fighting scenes between Brad and Angelina that's the best part of the movie.

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

I was 17 when this movie come out. My friends and I went to see it. They were swooning about Mark Hamill. I said He's okay. When they went to the canteena and Luke met up with Hans Solo, I told my friends that is one gorgeous guy. It didn't matter to me he was in his 30's. The bad boy was fine. The movie was so good. I saw it 4 times at the theater. I have 4 copies of the trilogy from VHS to DVD. I love these movies.

Blade Runner
Blade Runner(1982)

I mainly watched this movie because of Harrison Ford. He's still hot at 67. I found myself liking the movie. It was set in the future. It's amazing to watch.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Wonderful movie. One of my favorite actors. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the snakes. To take line from the "Snakes why does have to be snakes." I have been deathy afraid snakes since I was a small child. If some brings a snake to my classroom I have to call the boss, because my chest starts hurting and I can't breath. I know it's silly, but some people are that way about spiders. Spiders don't bother me. I love this movie. It is great.

The Frisco Kid

Really cute movie. Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford are great together. Gene is a Rabbi from Poland looking for his American finacee. He meets Harrison Ford a bank robbing cowboy. It is funny the cultures are really different. The marshall is after them for robbing a bank and Gene can't ride his horse until the sun goes down on the sabbath. i liked, but I am a Harrison Ford fan.

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

Luke gets trained by Yoda to be a Jedi. Luke faces Darth Vadar and finds out that his father didn't die. I didn't like the beginning of the movie, but the rest was great. Of course Hans was there to make my day.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Not my favorite in the series, but still a very good movie. Harrison Ford cracks me up when he's in the middle of the bridge and he looks at the camera and says "Oh S***." I laugh everytime.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

The last of the great trilogy. Luke stand up to his father. We find out there's still good in Darth Vadar. Leia finds out that Luke's her brother. Hans is still has handsome as ever.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

I like this movie very much. I like the interaction between Indiana Jones and his father. Although his father was always hard on him he loved his son. Indy loved his father. It's great movie.

Patriot Games

This is Harrison first time taking over the role as Jack Ryan from Alec Baldwin. He goes a good job. He also team up with James Earl Jones. When they are together I can't help thinking about Hans and Darth Vadar. Great movie.

Presumed Innocent

Harrison Ford plays a lawyer who is accused of murdering is lover. Great movie.

Regarding Henry

Regarding Henry is a beautiful movie about a lawyer who does anything to win his cases. He has affairs and spends little time with his family. Goes out for cigerttes and gets shot. I know that doesn't sound beautiful but the beauty of the movie is his recovery. I don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it. If you are a Harrison Ford fan this is a must see.

The Fugitive
The Fugitive(1993)

This is a remake of the tv series. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones are awesome. Tommy got an award for the movie. I think Harrison deserved one to, but he wasn't nominated. One of my favorite scenes is when they are inside the dam and Harrison says "I didn't kill my wife." Tommy responses "I don't care."

Clear and Present Danger
½

This the last of the Jack Ryan series starring Harrison. He is always a perfect pick for the action star. He's a great actor.

Sabrina
Sabrina(1995)
½

This is a remake of a Humphrey Bogart movie. The movie is really good. I love the scenes in Paris. Greg Kinnear sitting on wine glasses. It is a cute movie.

Air Force One

This is what the world needs a President that kicks butt. I vote for him.

Apocalypse Now Redux

A great war movie starring Martin Sheen (looking a little like Charlie here), Marlon Brando, and Robert Duvall. It packed full of action and drama. It has a cameo of Harrison Ford as an officer in it. What's wrong about the movie? Not enough Harrison.

K-19: The Widowmaker

I love Harrison Ford, but I didn't love the movie. I hate to say, but Harrison's accent didn't sound real. It was okay.

Hollywood Homicide
½

This sounds like it would be a good movie. Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett, but it wasn't. They storyline was weak. I wasn't as interesting as I though. The best thing about the movie was the trailer.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Although not as good as the first three it is still enjoyable movie. Harrison proves he still has the Indiana Jones magic. Alot of people did not like the alien aspect of it, but in the 50's that is what was being talked about. The story is still good. Indiana finally gets his girl. I think it was a very good movie,

Crossing Over
½

This movie was pretty good, but I felt it was missing something. Compassion. Harrison character had compassion for a young girl trying to make money to support her child. The rest were not compassionate at all. I know this is a problem, but treat people kindness. It's that what we are taught by our parents?

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!

Yes he can act and he has a great singing voice. Can he dance? Oh yes he can. I wish they had a DVD of him when he played the Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. I bet he did a great job there also.

Swordfish
Swordfish(2001)
½

John Travolta, Halle Berry, and Hugh Jackman. Three beautiful people. I liked the movie. I felt something was missing from the story, but it was a good movie. Seeing Hugh Jackman in a towel was worth my money.

Someone Like You

Cute movie, but Ashley Judd and Hugh Jackman didn't have good chemistry. It was a good try.

Kate & Leopold

Kate and Leopold, Although critics were not kind to this movie. I loved it. It was a modern day fairy tale. It's impossible for a man to travel 100 years into the future, but it is a sweet story. Hugh Jackman is charming and very handsome in this movie. When he does the commerical for creamier butter, I would buy it from him. His accent. It's British and he's Australian, but he does a beautiful job.

Scoop
Scoop(2006)

Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johannson, and Woody Allen sounds great doesn't. It's good, but far from great. Got just because Hugh was in it. I was a little disappointed because Woody Allen movies are usually great. This one was okay.

The Fountain
The Fountain(2006)

Loved this movie. I love magic. Seen David Copperfield twice. My son and I were in his show in 1996. We will never forget that experience. Hugh and Christian were great. Hugh's character seemed more professional and a showman. Christian's character was good but didn't have chrisma. I loved them both.

Flushed Away
Flushed Away(2006)

Kate Winslet and Hugh Jackman play mice. Kate lives underground and Hugh lives above ground in a nice neighborhood and is a families pet. One day Hugh is flushed down the toilet and meets Kate and the rest. Hugh does his Tom Jones impersonation, he is great. Great movie for kids and adults.

Happy Feet
Happy Feet(2006)

Even tho I am in my late 40's I love this movie. It brings a message to children about acceptance and being different is okay. I just wish people would listen to this message instead of sitting in judgement and thinking your different so you have no purpose. I love the music. I saw the movie first of all to hear Hugh Jackman sing, but I was truly blown away. It a wonderful movie.

Deception
Deception(2008)
½

Movie has alot of twist and turns, most predictable. The movie was okay. Not Hugh best performance, but he's nice to look at.

The Shaggy Dog

Okay not too bad of a remake. I think Tim Allen is funny, but Robert Downey Jr is hilarious when he starts acting like a dog in court.

U.S. Marshals

This is the sequel to The Fugitive. The movie was good, but not as well written as The Fugitive. We still has Tommy Lee Jones and the members of his team, running down fugitives and bringing in the bad guy. I love Tommy he can be so serious, but funny at the same time. We also get a bonus we get Robert Downey Jr So cute and younger.

Bowfinger
Bowfinger(1999)

Funny, cute, crazy, fantasic. I love this movie. Small part for Robert Downey Jr looking great.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

Cute movie Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr set out to solve a murder mystery. A short scene where Val and Robert are checking out a clue to throw the people off Val kisses Robert on the mouth.

Good Night, And Good Luck

Co writer, director, and actor George Clooney stars in this movie about Edward R. Murrow trying to bring down Joseph Mc Carthy. Robert Downey Jr also stars. It's a good movie. I like movie on his related things. It was imformative. Very good.

Iron Man
Iron Man(2008)

The Singing Detective
½

I wanted to like this movie, because it had Robert Downey Jr and Mel Gibson it. I thought they both were great, but the movie wasn't.

Brokeback Mountain
½

I am not gay. I found this movie to be a real love story between to men to be touching and moving. People make a big deal about relationships. I think whatever goes on between two people is their business. I am a Christian and I have my beliefs, but my job is not to sat in judgement of what others do or what they believe in. The acting was great. Heath was awesome.

I'm Not There

This movie is made up several movie actors playing the part of Bob Dylan at different times of his life. Sound like a good movie doesn't. It was okay. I rented to see some of my favorite actors Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, and Cate Blancett. Although there performances were too notch. I did not enjoy the movie. I wanted to but I found myself drifting of to sleep.

The Patriot
The Patriot(2000)

Heath Ledger is so good in this movie. Mel Gibson was awesome as a dad who has to leave his family and fight in a war he doesn't want to. His oldest son Heath goes to war despite his father's pleas to stay home.

10 Things I Hate About You

One of my favorite Heath Ledger movies. I loved it when Patrick sings "I can't take my eyes off of you to Kat."

Casanova
Casanova(2005)

Handsome, chrismatic, they couldn't have pick a better person. I wish the storyline had been a little better. Heath was awesome.

The Brothers Grimm

Heath Ledger and Matt Damon wonderful actors. Terry Gilliam wonderful director. The movie was okay slow moving at times. It seems to be missing something more of story I guess.

A Knight's Tale

This a great movie about a young man who was given up by his father years before to have a better life. One day a Knight dies William (Ledger) sees this as away to change his stars and become come someone. He becomes one of the best knight. One day while visiting his old village he finds his father. After seeing his father he understands why his father gave him up. He tells his father your son William has changed his stars. I love this movie. Middle ages meets rock and roll. Heath does a great job. I still miss him. He was a great actor.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
½

Better effects than the first one. I liked how they traveled to different places. I saw because I had seen the first one. I must be a little too old, but seem to be missing something to make it more interesting. It wasn't a bad movie, but it's not on my favorite list.

Transformers
Transformers(2007)

Special effects were awesome. Michael Bay did a good job. I saw this movie because my son grew up on the toys. It was a pretty good movie. Shia was good. Megan Fox (fellow Tennessean) was okay. I think with a little more experience she will a good actress. My husband said she's a lest cute.

The 40 Year Old Virgin

Cute movie about man Steve Carell that is 40 years old and has never been with a woman. One of my favorite parts is when he goes to have his chest waxed. It hurts so much he doesn't finish it and it looks like a smiley face. I love Steve Carell I laugh when I look at him. He's so silly.

I Love You, Man

This movie is so cute. I like the movie and the storyline. A man that doesn't have a best friend and has to go on man dates to find one. Being a fan of Johnny Depp's I love how they brought the movie Chocolat in the movie. Seeing clip from the movie was good also. Seeing the outakes we also hilarious.

Inglourious Basterds

The movie was good, but I was expecting more from Quentin. It was a little different than I expected from the trailer. But still very entertaining. Great actors. The star of this movie is not Brad Pitt it is Christop Waltz he is outstanding as Lt Hans Lantz.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
½

Right now I am going by the trailer. It looks great. If the movie is better I will change my rating. I loved Heath Ledger I hope this movie does him good. Also for showing compassion for their fellow actor Johnny, Colin, and Jude for helping out and giving their salary to Matilda. Thank you.

Fireproof
Fireproof(2008)

This is a very good movie. If you are having problems in your marriage this movie may help you. If you aren't having problems it makes you thankful for the life you have.

Terminator Salvation
½

This movie was much better than T3, but could not hold a candle to T2. Christian Bale does a good job. Arnold CG was good, but I missed him as the Terminator.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

I enjoyed Night at the museum. It was much better than the first one. It was clean enough to take your children to see it. Although Ben Stiller was the star of the movie Hank Azaria stoled his thunder. I love the seen with Darth Vadar it's a classic.

17 Again
17 Again(2009)

This movie was cute, but it reminded me of Back to the future, but a difference a man in his 40 becomes 17 and hangs out with his family. Instead of 17 year old going Back in time and hanging out with his parents.

Star Trek
Star Trek(2009)
½

I watched the orginal Star Trek while growing up. The movie is better than the TV series. I think Zachary Quinto looks almost like Leonard N. twin. It was a good job in casting. Special Effects were awesome. It was a good movie, but I am not a Star Trek fan. So I wasn't into it. If you like these kind of movies you will love Star Trek.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

I went into this movie with high expections. I like Brad and Cate. Although the CGI was wonderful, the movie was not for me. I found myself falling asleep and thinking will this movie ever end. The acting was good. Think the storyline was just to drawn out. It was a good idea. I wish I could have gotten in to it more.

Public Enemies

I have seen Public Enemies. It is awesome. The actors are wonderful. Johnny Depp Oscar worthy performance. If he doesn't win this time people are not watching what I'm seeing. Christain Bale is good sometimes you can hear a little of Welsh accent, but he pulls off his role. Marion is wonderful her voice is a little high pitched, but does a great job. If you are a Johnny Depp fan like me you may want to see it more than once. The screening was fine, can't wait for the movie. Johnny rocks.
I just noticed I didn't update this after seeing the movie. Like I said before the screening was awesome. I did see the movie two times in the theater. I loved it both times. Somethings were not exactly true like some dates All in all most were true and how it happened.
Mann used hand held camera. Alot of people did not like it, but I did it. It made you feel like you were there in the action. I liked the idea of using the exact places that Dillinger was that also brought alot of realism to the movie.
Christian Bale as Purvis he was awesome. Although it was short and a supporting role he did a great job.
Marion Cotillard beautiful did a great job as Billie. Her chemistry with Johnny was wonderful. I like the scene where is in the tub and asked Johnny if he wanted to join her, he said "Can Prince Albert come too." That was so cute. The love scene was done very tasteful no nudity.
Johnny Depp he channeled the character of John Dillinger perfectly. He walked like him. His talking was very similiar to Dillinger. He was perfect even down to the smile. Johnny is about 4 inches taller than Dillinger, but it didn't matter he still gave great four star performance.
This is my favorite of many gangster movies.

A Nightmare on Elm Street
½

I think the orginal is the best in the series. Johnny Depp makes his movie debut in this film. He does a good job for a first time actor. (Thank you, Nicolas Cage for telling Johnny to try acting.) I think one of my favorite scenes is when Glen (JD) is trying to make his mom believe he is at the airport and the boom box messes up. This is our first look at Freddy. He is really a Nightmare to behold. I look more at Freddy a pityful person. Yes he is awful, mean, and kills, but when I look at his burnt skin it's just sad to me. It's funny how critics in the past say that Johnny's death is the best in horror movies. It's not because JD dies or has anything to do with his acting. It's the way he dies. He sucked into a bed and blood comes shooting out like a volcano erupting. They say it's the bloodiest in a horror movie, so it's the best.

Twilight
Twilight(2008)

I never read the books. I did rent the movie. It was okay. Movies with vampires are usually good movies. This movie was more for teenagers. Robert Pattinson was okay in the movie, but off the movie he is not the same. I didn't enjoy this movie, but if you are in your early twenties or younger you will love it.

Gonzo: The Life and Work of Hunter S. Thompson

This bio of Hunter Thompson is very imformative. You learn things you didn't know about him. I didn't know he had ran for sheriff of Aspen. Johnny Depp reads from books of Hunter's. The only bad thing is if you are a die hard Depp fan he never looks up so you never seen his beautiful brown eyes. It is a very good documentary on the life, the loves, and his writings.

Brando
Brando(2007)
½

This is a very good documentary on the life of Marlon Brando. He was a wonderful actor and didn't pick movie roles just because people thought he should act in certain movies. Johnny Depp also makes a cameo in this film talking about his experiences working in two movies with him. Don Juan DeMarcos and The Brave.

Private Resort

This movie was your typical teen comedy. It was it had some nudity. You see Johnny and Rob's bottoms. It was silly of course. It reminds me of today's teen comedies. It wasn't the greatest, but it was a cute movie.

Movie was awesome. Great action, fight scenes, and interactions between the cast. What a great cast for a movie? Oliver Stone had thought about putting Johnny Depp in Charlie Sheen's role, but thought JD looked too young even tho he was 3 years older than Charlie. Johnny was offered the smaller role a lot of his scenes ended up on the cutting room floor. All the actors were perfect in their roles. Willem Defoe what a talent. Great.

21 Jump Street - The Complete First Season

This is where the teenage girls are introduced to the hottest guy on Fox tv. Mr Depp aka Tom Hanson. I wasn't a teenager but I thought he was a cutie. I thought he was 3 years earlier in Nightmare on Elm Street. The show had great storylines. It help some troubled teens cope with life. It was a great show.

Edward Scissorhands

One of my favorite Tim Burton movies. Johnny brings the character of Edward to life. You can believe such man could exist. When he is trying to get the pea up to his mouth, you just want to reach inside the screen and help him. Edward is a sweet enduring character, you care about him. I didn't like how the neighbors turned against him, because of false acussions. I like how Kim looked at him and saw the real sweetness in the character. I was sad when Kim said "Hold me" Edward movies his scissors around and sadly says "I can't" Then she movies his scissors and hugs him. It was so sweet. When she later tells him she loves him it just melts your heart. It is a lovely movie.

One of John Waters better movie. Johnny plays Cry Baby a bad boy with a sweetness about him. Then you have the rich girl who falls for him. He teaches her how to french kiss and that it doesn't matter what people see on the outside it's what's on the inside that counts. Johnny does a good job as a rocker. I wish John would have used Johnny's voice it was better than the others guys.

Benny and Joon is a sweet movie about a mentally ill girl played by Mary Masterson, who has been taken care of my her older brother Benny played by Aidan Quinn. Joon wins Sam played by Johnny Depp in a poker game. Sam moves in helps cleaning the house and taking care of Joon while Benny works. Sam is child like. He does know how to read and loves Buster Keaton. Sam and Joon fall for each other. Benny kicks Sam out of the house. Johnny's performance in this movie is awesome how he recreates the character of Buster Keaton, he is right on the money. It is a great movie.

Ed Wood
Ed Wood(1994)

One of Tim Burton masterpieces. Johnny is wonderful in this movie as the cross dressing director Ed Wood. He went down in history as the worse director. I believe he was a dream and a visionary. People just didn't see that they just saw the B movies he made. Wonderful cast.

Donnie Brasco

This is an overlooked award winning performance from Johnny Depp as FBI agent Joseph Pistone. Johnny uncover agent pretending to be a jewel broker Donnie Brasco to get into the mob. Johnny directed, stars in, and co wrote this movie with his step brother Daniel. This movie is about a Native American man Raphael who lives in poverty with his wife and two children. Raphael spends the money on his family has a party for his friends and family. The next week there homes will be destroyed and they will be homeless. Raphael visits the local priest and tells him about the movie and that he needs his family taken care of. The priest at first rejects him, because he said he can not be a part of a suciede(?). Later he comes back takes his collar and agrees. This movie is sad, but a very good job by Johnny and Daniel Depp.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

This taken by a story written by Hunter S Thompson. Johnny has Hunter's look and movements down perfect. I don't agree the drug use, but this Hunter's life so that why it is in it. Johnny is hilarious in character. Don't like his bald head, but he still looks good. Benicio Del Toro is funny as his lawyer. You will also see many other stars such as Christina Ricci, Tobey Maguire, Cameron Diaz etc. Many spaced out episodes that are really funny. One Raoul Duke (Depp) wakes up still tripping out and finds he has a long tale behind him. If you are a fan of the writings of Hunter S Thompson, Johnny Depp, or Terry Gillam this movie is for you.

The Source: The Story of the Beats and the Beat Generation
½

The Source is retelling of the lives of three writers, played by three actors. Johnny Depp-Jack Kerouac, Dennis Hopper-Williams Burroughs, and John Turturro-Allen Ginsberg. It is interesting and full of History. Sometimes it is alittle slow, but worth watching.

Sleepy Hollow

This has got to be one of my favorites. The retelling of Sleepy Hollow Burton style. I think Johnny Depp is very handsome this movie not to mention talented. Who else could play Ichabod as a scared little girl, but Johnny and pull it off. Christopher Walken is great as the headless horsemen. They make him so ugly he is scary. Christina Ricci is good in this movie. I just think her hair is too white. Tim likes people pale and his movies dark so I guess Christina's look is appropriate. Although there is a big age difference between Christina 19 and Johnny 36 you really can't tell it in the movie. Johnny looks like a man in his twenties. It is a real good movie if you haven't seen it Halloween is coming up rent it then.

The Ninth Gate

Johnny plays a book dealer Dean Curso who is hired by Frank Langella's character to find two rare books written by satan himself. This movie is directed by Roman Polanski and is filmed in France. It is a thriller with lots of turns. Dean has a couple scenes where women seduce him. It is not a movie I agree with. I don't get into satanic stuff. I believe in God. Satan needs to stay in Hell where he belongs. I do think the acting is very good. Worth watching if your a Johnny Depp fan.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

It's good to see Johnny Depp in a new movie that is geared towards the family. I love Johnny as Captain Jack. I am glad that Disney let him play him they Johnny wanted to. As he says his vows he places the ring on what he thinks is a tree branch. It not a branch it's the hand of the Corpse Bride voiced by Helena Bonham Carter. I love this movie, it great for Halloween. It grows on you after you have watched it a couple of times.

The Libertine

Not a favorite Johnny Depp movie. Too much sex and weirdness. Johnny is awesome as always. I just didn't like the storyline. Johnny's character Rochester goes from a good looking man to a dying man who has lost his looks his hair is real short, and he has lost an eye. As he says at the begining of the movie "You will not like me." He speaks the truth.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Another great Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie. Although Johnny's performance seemed a little wacky to some people, Willy Wonka was wacky in the book. He uses the voice he used when he played Barbie's with his daughter Lily Rose. All and all the movie is a great movie for families, just like Willy Wonka and the Charlie Factory. I love both movies equally. The original Willy Wonka was a little slow and the begininng and got better when they got the factory. In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory you see more about Charlie's family. You find out why Willy is quirky. It's the relationship he had with his father. I loved the movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

Great movie. Great soundtrack, thanks to Hans Zimmer. Scenary is breathtaking. Johnny is great as Captain Jack. Elizabeth and Will finally get together, but not as we would like. Barbossa again takes charge. I didn't like all the characters in this movie. I like a smaller cast with lots of extras. All three movies are good family fun.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Being a Johnny Depp fan, of course, I went to the movies to see this a total of 3 times. A lot of people were unaware that this was an opera on broadway. I knew this going in so I knew what to expect. I was completely blown away by Johnny and Helena. Johnny is not a singer, but he did a great job. Tim stayed close to the broadway verison. Almost word for word. He with help from Stephen Sondheim shorten some of the songs and deleled some. The movie was wonderful. I bought it as soon as it come out I have watched several times just to see Johnny sing "My Friends," "Pretty Women," and "Epithany." I give this movie a 10.

The Dark Knight

Saw this movie twice at the theater. Heath Ledger made the Joker his own. He did a wonderful job. He owned this movie. Christain Bale is cute and I like him. I do not like his gravely Batman voice. I guess I am not used to him as Batman yet. My favorite is still Michael Keaton.

Australia
Australia(2008)

I saw this movie the day it come out. It had some slow parts which made the movie seem longer, but it was a good movie. The photography was beautiful. Hugh and Nicole were excellent. The storyline could have been better to make it more interesting. The scene at the ball where Hugh shows up clean shaven in the white suit was worth my ticket. He is a hot man. I have known that for many years. I give the movie an 8 for the actors and scenary. The script I would give a 6.
