What a beautiful surprise this wonderful film was. I loved everything about it and I know it will stay with me forever. Much more than entertainment, a gentle, exciting lesson of life for us all. Please do not miss this one.
Having seen 2 of Lynn Ramsey's past films, "We need to talk about Kevin" and " The Ticket" I was aware of her unique style. Almost dreamlike with a large dose of horror and shock when you are held captive to her pace and slowly developing story. This film was also in this deliberate style and must have been a very demanding film for all the characters. This is one you may have to see twice before you get the whole thing, but it is so entertaining and adictive that it is well woeth the time.
If there was ever a time when we needed Mr. Rogers it is now! Common decency and an understanding that our children are not being given a solid foundation of love and caring for others...including themselves. Please see this mesmerizing film. The answers are right in front of us. Time for less violence in toys and games and the beauty of the imagination with more simple toys and games. This movie is truly a treasure.
Hilarious and incredibly written farce on the death of a dictator. This one ranks up there with the best of Woody Allen.
Thrilling, smart, well written and photography that has no peer. Melissa George is amazing as well as all around her in this under rated film.
