Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas
3 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

As Jesus Christ Himself said, 'If you do not wish Me a happy birthday then you are going to fry in Hell eternally. Verily.' Thank GOD Kirk Cameron is doing his part to make sure no one anywhere ever says 'Happy Holidays' (which, as we all know, is code for 'I worship Satan.')

Under the Skin
3 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

The book 'Under the Skin' by Michel Faber is one of the most engrossing, haunting and profound books I've read in my life. The film 'Under the Skin' by Jonathan Glazer is an utter waste of source material. He used about 10% of the book and then diverted wildly and stupidly into his own territory. I understand that directors often have a different vision than the book they are adapting. This was case with Stanley Kubrick/Stephen King. Fans of the book largely hated the film, but no one could say the film was badly made. (I happen to have enjoyed both the film and the book) The film of 'Under the Skin' represents the worst kind of directorial hubris. Not only does Glazer not come anywhere near close to telling the story of the book, the story he does tries to tell wanders and drifts and gets lost before it collapses into its own nonsensical pretensions.
