Granted, this review is a bit premature because I have yet to see the movie, but I feel it's safe enough to make a few assumptions. For instance,Ben Affleck's character is a career criminal. As we all should know, with that kind of life there are only two ways out;prison or an early grave. Now I could be completely off base here, but unless he's smart enough to flee somewhere no one can find him and become another person, his character's fate lies with either of the two options. For anyone who has seen the movie and knows this is not true, please feel free to disagree.

Resident Evil: Afterlife

I guess the filmmakers figured 3D would actually make this farce of a movie better. HA! The sad truth is,they could make a hundred of these movies as long as people are stupid enough to go see them. How about this for a movie title... CRAPFEST 2010:RESIDENT EVIL MEETS SAW.

Why Do Fools Fall In Love

Frankie Lymon was indeed a talented singer and performer whose career and life were both tragically cut short. That being said, after watching this movie I still could not figure out what the heck it had to do with its central figure!Basically,it is about three greedy women who fight and bicker over Lymon's assests and possessions nearly twenty years after his death.Yes there are flashbacks of his career and the supposed experiences each of these women had with him(not one of them was portrayed as someone who wouldn't lie her butt off),but this wasn't nearly enough. In the end, despite the flashy musical numbers that turned out to be the best thing in the movie,I was sorely disappointed.I would rather see a true biopic about Frankie Lymnon that actually reflects the tragedy that became his short life.

Shutter Island

Shutter Island is well acted and engaging if nothing else, but it lacks sensibility and focus. After a while it left me asking,"What's going on here?" and "Why did this happen?" Then again, maybe it's one of those movies that requires you to not extensively use your brain...IDK.Despite that,I do believe it conveyed a dark message in the end which is... There is nothing more miserable in human existence than to be at the mercy of anyone or anything other than yourself.

Superman Returns

Superman Returns is a valiant,if not flawless remake of the classic franchise that the late Christopher Reeve made popular(actually it was George Reeves before him).Newcomer Brandon Routh is cast just right as the Man of Steele and Kevin Spacey nails the role of villanous Lex Luthor. My only quibbles with the movie are that Kate Bosworth brought nothing to the role of Lois Lane and Parker Posey's role came off as a bit too dumb and weak.I would have liked to see her in a tougher,cold-hearted,bad girl role and maybe even someone who could kick Lois Lane's butt in a catfight. Also,I think it would have been better to re-cast the role of Lois Lane with a hotter, livelier actress such as Lindsey Sloan.
