Who cares what the critics think???? Their time has past! Decide for yourself. For me, a movie is either entertaining or its, not. This movie is well cast, has an intriguing story and well edited. All I need. Many actions movies are nothing but action with little character development. This movie has interesting characters, keeps you guessing and never drags out a scene. Believe me, there are way too many movies that would benefit greatly from 20-30 minutes less. This is not one. Bravo! At minimum, this is a very solid 3 on a 5 scale and worth seeing. Ignore the pompous critics in search of some quirky political movie statement. Instead, settle for being entertained by an action movie that is a lot more than just the action.

Oldman IS Churchill! Loved it. Nothing, to pick about and,I love to pick apart flaws. Lets to a sequel if there is something left to explore? Sadly if you walked down Broadway in NYC and asked random people who Churchill was, the majority would have no idea!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

For me, easily,30 minutes too long. I feel bad saying this but Carrie Fischer was bad in this episode and unnecessary. To date the new versions have never touched the originals. Mainly, because I loved the original cast in their heyday and the movie was so fresh and unique. I do like the new cast members so, cut the chord with the way past prime, leftover old cast! I'll keep going but looking forward to no more old cast and hopefully, way better, editing!

Rudy (1993)

Best sports movie ever. Own it and watch it every year. The odds of getting in the U of ND are extremely remote and, seemingly, even more impossible for Rudy & his limited credentials. But Rudy doesn't listen to the naysayers and doggedly pursues his singular ambition of playing for Notre Dame. A true testament to the American Dream and what makes this country unique. Hope we can hang onto the dream that anything is uniquely possible in America if you're determined to achieve the seemingly impossible. Stop listening to the people who you're a societal victim and reach down deep inside and go for it! That's what Rudy did. You have to want it. No one is going to hand it to you. Least of all government.

American Assassin

A solidly entertaining and believable start. O'Brien successfully pulls off the daunting task of being (young) Mitch Rapp while most readers likely visualize the older more fully formed Mitch. I'm in, let do another one and think about recasting the first Irene. Shiva Negar lacks the gravitas of the Vince penned Irene. Irene is an attractive women but also pretty cerebral and street smart. Negar seems more like a great looking model turned actor and will work better in other genre. She the only weak link in the first movie or I'd score it a 3.5 or better. Keaton is solid as Stan. For me, the book American Assassin was good like all Vince books but not his strongest so I'm expecting better stuff going forward when they can explore the other books.
