A campy romp through a world where mutant turtles match wits with an evil corrupt villain and his henchmen.
If you disregard the jerky shaky cam jump cut action sequences, the unintelligible mumbled dialog, and the ugly radio, it's a great film. . . almost.
I don't know what or who to blame.
I certainly couldn't understand the movie without reading the entry in Wikipedia... That is evidence in itself that the movie isn't functional.
The "in your face" action sequences are unwatchable, and I ignore them. Maybe this is what sells in 3D, but for 2D, it is not entertaining.
That sums up the bad - it is not entertaining.
The overall universe and its complexities might have gotten more screen time, and boosted the rating. But as it stands, Jupiter does not ascend, nor even remains level, but falls on its cinematic face.
