The Fearless Vampire Killers
5 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

7/10Roman Plolansky first color movie is a mash of comedy, adventure, romance and horror, that is always funny and entertaining. The story about a pair of vampire killers who venture into the unknown to kill the monster is amazing. The acting is great, each one of the characters is well rounded and interestingly developed Sharon Tate is beautiful and makes you wonder the star she would have been if she have not been killed. My only complaint is that the film at some times can seem pointless and improvised, but that is just me trying to search for flaws. The film has a lot of comedy, action and adventure to be enjoyed by anyone who loves good movies.

Cidade de Deus (City of God)
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

9/10 City of God is one of the harshest most crude movies I have ever seen. It tells the story of an adolescent growing in a Brazilian Favela and how he ended up being a photographer. Through the entire movie you can see the misery and the lack of values that exist in one of the most violent places on Earth. The movie is perfectly written divided in chapters and narrated fluently. The filming is also amazing you can clearly see Danny Boyle used this movie as an inspiration for Slummdog Millionaire. If you want to see one of the best movies of the past decade, this movie is your option.

Sherlock Holmes
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

8/10 I have always wanted to see a modern adaptation of Conan Doyle classic hero, and Guy Ritchie delivered not what I expected but a new and original vision of Sherlock Holmes. Robert Downey is amazing in his role and all the supporting characters add a lot to the movie. Guy Richie style can be seen through all the movie with fast sarcastic dialogs, interconnected stories, camera zoom ins and slow mo sequences. I really liked this movie it is entertaining, amazingly portrayed and funny, a blast for any movie fan.

Paranormal Activity
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

After the entire buzz I finally decided to see this horror movie and it was scary and different. I think that the movie is a bit too long and that it could be scarier if the night sequences lasted longer, when you are just starting to get afraid usually the scene ends and nothing else happens, the scary elements should have been used better, but overall if you want to see an OK scary movie you won´t be disappointed.

The Box
The Box (2009)
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

I loved the twilight zone episode of the box and its ending was perfect, the first 40 minutes of the movie are a direct OK remake of this episode and I recommend turn off your DVD or exit the theater at that moment, after that the director just tried to fill the time with a stupid plotline about aliens, senseless dialogs and stories and one of the worst endings I have seen this year. If you rent this movie watch the first 40 minutes and press the eject button or parts of your brain will die.
