The Proposition
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

This is by far the best western film since thee unforgiven. The performances, writing and directing are all noteworthy. It also does a fantastic job with not being overly gratuitous when it comes to violence. I definitely recommend this film to true fans of the western genre. You will not be disappointed.

Inception (2010)
7 years ago via Rotten Tomatoes

Inception is a challenge of a movie, and I mean that in a good way. The performances of the movie are all top notch, even Ellen Paige. I will however give the most credit to Marion Coitallard, since she was the one given incredible license to go completely off the rails and kept her performance relatively sane. I also enjoyed the performance of Joseph Gordon Levitt, who continues to do great work. I also felt that Tom Hardy stole every scene he was in. DiCaprio also did a fantastic job. Everything about the movie was excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a movie that's not the regular summer fare.

Predators (2010)

This was easily the best Predator sequel, and the one the original earned and deserved. I found all of the performances were good, and the use of a mixture of the original score and new variations was well done. Enjoyed the battle between the Predator, and the Super Predator. Also Laurence Fishburne's performance was an excellent mood lightener. I even enjoyed the performance of Adrien Brody as Royce. He may not have been the conventional choice for the lead in this type of movie, but I thought he acquitted himself well. It is a worthy companion piece to the original.

Grown Ups
Grown Ups (2010)

Perhaps admitting to liking this movie makes me slightly mental. So be it, I was entertained, the cast was good, and I found it kept me laughing more then I expected. It wasn't the best work of any of the cast, but found it to be one of the better comedies I have seen lately.

Zodiac (2007)

I loved this movie immensely. All of the performances were top drawer, and the directing is a master class in how to build suspense. It is a great shame that this movie was given no consideration during Oscar time. My only flaw with the movie is no fault of the director or actors, but the fact of reality that the Zodiac killer was never found.
