Ok. This is the best violent action movie ever. Director Gareth Evans has redefined the genre with this one. The archetype to which all other movies of class are to be judged against.

The Thing

Ok. It was nice to see a prequel about the Norwegian camp. Was cool to see how they found the the thing and its ship, how the "two-faced" thing came into being, etc. And as expected, this doesnt reach the epic awsomeness of the John Carpenter masterpiece from 1982. It also shown that effects master Rob Bottins practical real-world SPFX were so damn good that even CGI cant even touch his creations.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2

Pretty good. Almost forgotten what had happened in part one. Purposely did not go to see this in 3d (dunno if it was available in 3d). Interesting revelation about Snape. (Yes, the emotional scene). Was pleasantly surprised about the battle scene at Hogwarts. (Did not expect that as I did not read the books). Seems there were more scenes missing with Draco. Im sure the movie left out alot from the book since toward the end of the movie I got the feeling of "Oh! Look at the time! We must wrap things up quickly now...". Now they can make 7 more movies with the new kids.

Green Lantern
Green Lantern (2011)

Just as Robert Downey Jr. was born to play iron Man, Ryan Reynolds was born to play The Green Lantern. Liked the comics as a kid but not rabid like some of the superfans that were blasting this movie so I found it very entertaining. The problem is with a story like this they tried to fit it all in under two hours. Peter Sarsgaard did a great job with what he's given. His screams of pain were wrenching. They need to release an uncut/expanded version.

X-Men: First Class

Did not know much going into this one other than its premise so it was a surprise to find out whom the villian was. Loved how they expanded on the original opening from the first Brian Singer X-Men movie. Fassbender was great as Magneto. It would be cool to just see a movie based on his tracking down of Nazi fugitives.
