Scream 4
Scream 4 (2011)

I remember watching the first Scream when I was about seven years old. Well technically I didn't watch the whole thing; I saw the opening scene where Drew Barrymore was being hunted by that scary voice on the phone. I screamed in fear throughout the whole opening scene, finally my sister realized it probably wouldn't be the best idea to let me watch a frightening horror film at age seven. I was sent in another room so watch that show dinosaurs. But even though I was in another room watching a happy kids show, I was still very afraid. That iconic scene stuck in my head for a long while. Needless to say, Scream scared the hell out of me.

As I grew older I became a big fan of the franchise, so when I heard they would be making a Scream 4 I was pretty excited. Scream 4 takes place fifteen years after the original Woodsboro murders. That's right people this is more of a remake than an actual sequel. Automatically expectations are lowered right. Sydney Prescott our heroine that has survive three murder sprees, ventures back to her hometown for the anniversary of the first murders. Like it is mentioned in the film, Sydney is the angel of death. Where ever she goes people start drying around her. The killing spree has started again.
What I really love about Scream four is how funny it really is. Like all of the movies, it pokes fun at itself. They never get too serious, but it still managed to scare the hell out of me every now and then. Also I had a pretty difficult time figuring out who the killer was. I mean eventually solved it, but only a few minutes before he or she reveal him or herself. And I am very good at predicting movies. Now there aren't a whole lot of scares so don't expect to let out a high pitch scream or jump out of your seat. Expect to laugh a lot and flinch occasionally. Or maybe look over your shoulder, when you're walking back to your car after the movie.
What I didn't like is that there were way too many references to other horror movie. I mean I know that basically what Scream is about, but they over did it here. They could have yanked a few references out of the dialogue and it would have been okay.
The beginning of the movie was really confusing. I received a bit of a headache by the end of the opening scene. But the worst thing is that character development is non-existent here. I cared nothing about the new characters, I did not care whether they lived or died. The only characters I cared about were the ones from the original. I don't know if they did that on purpose, but either way that was pretty annoying.
Scream 4 doesn't come close to perfect. It had many flaws, but it still managed to entertain me. I had a lot of fun watching and I would go see it again if, I had the choice. I recommend this movie, but just know what you're getting yourself into before watching it.

P.S. This movie was extremely long.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

This movie was a huge disappointment. I am a big fan of the first movie. The first Narnia was magical, enchanting, and a lot of fun to watch. Even the second one, though a bit depressing, was very entertaining.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was just sad. I feel as if the actors weren't really into it. They seem like bad actors, but I know they are capable of much better. Which is what makes it so sad.
Also I found this movie to be extremely predictable. I realize the other movies were predictable as well, but this one took the cake.
I wish I could write something about the plot, but I pretty much have forgotten what it was about. Man this movie sucked.

Toy Story 3
Toy Story 3 (2010)

Damn you Pixar! Why must you be so damn awesome? Why must you tug on my heart strings so hard? To say that I absolutely, positively love this movie with all my heart would be a understatement. It has everything, action, comedy, and heart-warming moments. The opening sequence it self was enough to make me cry. And who ever thought of spanish speaking Buzz is an absolute genius. I have no idea why its so funny, but I could not stop laughing.

When people wrote in their reviews that this was a prison break movie,I thought they were over exaggerating. But there is the warden and correction officers keeping our beloved toys away from where they truly want to be.Your not just hoping that they will find their way home, you are praying that they stay together and don't die. It's very dark and scary at times.

What I really like about this movie is that it doesn't rely on comedy to much. Sure it has a few jokes. But what really makes this movie great is how they get you to love and connect with these toys so much. You can't help but to love those toys and want everything to be okay for them. And the thing is they aren't even real! But it doesn't matter because you want Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bulleyes,Hamm, Rex,Slink, and Mr.and Mrs.Potatoe to truly find happiness.

I honestly don't think this movie was necessarily made for the children of this generation. I think this movie was made for people like me, who grew up on Toy story and possibly memorized the entire movie. People who probably had a Woody and a Buzz and any other Toy story toys you begged your parents to buy. People who might have wrote their own name on the bottom of a toy's shoe.People who waited years for the release of this fantastic movie.

Once again Pixar created a masterpiece, an amazing film that was full of emotion. Not just a movie full of fart jokes, puns, and stupid talking animals like most G movies these days. It's a movie that can capture the hearts of the whole family.I will just like to thank Pixar and ask you guys to keep em coming.
