Absolutely captivating from the opening credits far past the end. The movie stayed on my mind for days after seeing it, to the point I rented it again and watched it twice more. The acting, writing, everything was just marvelous. Left a sort of emotional aftertaste that one cannot get from most films.
I was reluctant to see it at first because Peter Sarsgard has disappointed me so many times in the past, but nothing could bring this movie down. Hornby's script was spot-on and everyone from Sarsgard to Pike played like champs.
I will be buying the movie ASAP and would recommend it to any and all that love movies.

Dreamworks Animation finally got it right. No innuendoes, no slapstick, no fart jokes. Clean, family fun, but still enough depth to keep everyone in the audience satisfied. The vocal performances of Butler and Fergeson were hilarious, and Jason Powell's score was flawless. Sure the story was predicatable but it was a marvelous adventure for all ages. I wasn't fortunate enough to see the film in 3-D, but even in the standard presentation, the visuals were breathtaking. A reccomended must see for any and all movie lovers.
