The film is lengthy, there are some scenes which totally bores you. While the rest of it, is a complete mind fuck. Never knew science could be so eerie. It's a fresh take for sci-fi horrors.

There's not much yakuza films especially from hollywood. Netflix gave it a try with Jared Leto but it didn't came close to Beat Takeshi's RAMPAGE. Jared's character tried to be an enigmatic white boy in a harsh Japanese society, but fails to deliver and ends up nothing but an empty shell.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

What makes this film so good is it offers redemption to antagonists and even showcases the evil in its protagonist. Somewhat making its characters real. Coz thats we're all our. In essence, there's no hero or villain, just people dealing with life and overcoming it.

As for the story itself, it follows a non-linear approach, it doesn't dwell in the primary conflict of finding the killer, but showcases the character's reaction in dealing with the objective.

This is my bet to the Oscars. Second is Get Out.

Unlike other Marvel movies, this tackles social and historical issues of African Americans. Giving a soul of its own. A utopia in film for all minorities. However it lacks the action that I love in marvel films, and focused more on the story.
