Cylus O'Brady's Movie Ratings - Rotten Tomatoes

Movie Ratings and Reviews

Sausage Party

It did what it set out to do- be as provocative as possible.

X-Men: Apocalypse

The worst X-men movie in the entire franchise- and a complete waste of one of the Xmen's greatest villains- Apocalypse.

Kong: Skull Island

More fun than the last Godzilla film.

Saban's Power Rangers

Cringe overload- even more so than the previous movies. Not to mention the poor acting.

Better than expected.

Hide Your Smiling Faces

A raw and beautiful looking film- all the panoramic views of the woods and rivers really takes you away and sets a silent, natural, slightly depressing tone for the film. I am yet to really decipher exactly what the film is trying to say.

The Boy
The Boy(2016)

Sigh.....only if this show went right instead of left.

After the Dark

Loved it, the film engages you from start to finish.

The Huntsman: Winter's War

More of the witches less of the Huntsmen would have made this show a lot better. Still better than the first film if only marginally.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I have never seen more foolish and childish characters before; stupidity abound. A complete contrast to the brilliance of the film's musical soundtrack.

Zoolander 2
Zoolander 2(2016)

Just as good as the first film, nothing more, nothing less.

The Witch
The Witch(2016)

A masterpiece of a film. Not your typical horror but that is why The Witch was brilliant. The acting and the cinematography, both were top notch. The setting and the tone created a truly dark and disturbing atmosphere. I cannot sing enough praises for this movie.

London Has Fallen

I was laughing from beginning to end, one of the most unrealistic action movies I have seen in quite sometime.

Funny movie and a damn impressive one at that when you consider it was filmed using three iphone 5s.

Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages

In terms of action this is the best Pokemon movie by far.

The Last Witch Hunter

Vin Diesel is not meant to spare-head these types of movies. His dreary acting was quite draining. Another lead actor could have made the show better.

St. Nicholas isn't coming this year, instead a much darker ancient spirit is here. His name is Krampus; and he and his helpers didn't come to give but to take.

The Little Prince

The BEST movie I have seen this year- truly profound.
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye."

The Green Inferno

The movie has the setting of the Amazon and extreme levels of gore going for it. I only wish the acting and story were as on point.

"I gave my son his father's name. If someone up there counts souls, then we are even."

Mot naturen (Out of Nature)

Guy with a mid life crisis decides to take a trip into the deep wilderness. The introspection while on this trip brings him back on point. Yes, that was exactly how the movie played out. Nothing more, nothing less.

Interesting is all I have to say.

At the very least it was watchable- one time only though.

Grande École

"We are always playing someone's game."
Quite the seductive film.

Goodnight Mommy

A scenic little film that starts off serene as ever. But slowly the feelings of dread and despair encroaches on you, no more so than by the ending of the movie. Great acting from the three leads, I tip my hat to the young twin actors, excellent performances. Unfortunately, my main disappointment with Goodnight Mommy was the twist at least for me was predictable early on.

Salvation Army

Not bad but I am going to have to read the actual book.

Nor an easy movie to grasp, it tackles some extreme scientific theories, but I was still able to understand the basis- what truly stands out are the visuals and the sheer level of emotion the show evokes because at the core of Interstellar was a show based on humanity (both the good and the bad) and love.

More fun than I expected, great soundtrack.

The Purge: Anarchy

Even with the sequel something was still lacking despite the wider focus.

Pitch Perfect 2

I found it funnier than its predecessor but more or less the same old.

The Last: Naruto The Movie

It was a love story- a very slow love story at that. But as far as naruto movies go- this is probably the only decent one

San Andreas
San Andreas(2015)

San Andreas is mostly like any other disaster flick but what they have above others are the characters- I actually liked them especially Olly, the kid stole the show.

Jurassic World

Second best movie in the Jurassic franchise- the first film still remains the best.

Way too unreal to be remotely scary. I will say this much- one of the best endings I have seen in the genre.

Jake really made me love and hate his character Lou; he made the show, so my hats off to him. I wished it had ended differently but I won't hold that against what is a very solid movie.

Mad Max: Fury Road

I have seen a lot of movies but none quite like this- pure carnage through and through. A shame, just a little more story and a little less madness could have done wonders, but the novelty, amazing road action, and awesome soundtrack were enough for me to somehow still enjoy the movie- it was just that crazy.

Not as bad as it was made out to be- borderline good.

Batman Vs. Robin

Never before have I seen Batman taken such a licking, and, the feats of this Robin are pretty hard to swallow. Beyond that excellent movie.

Jupiter Ascending

A very pretty movie and quite imaginative too, something a lot of science fiction movies lack. Unfortunately the story was quite convoluted and the action sequences were overbearing at times.

The Age of Adaline

A decent movie- not sure about the pseudo science though.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Solid sequel- every bit as good as its predecessor but not quite good enough to actually be better. The good- Wanda Maximoff, she was a treat, I look forward to seeing her again. I must also tip my hat to Ultron- in many ways he was the heart of the film despite being the big bad.
Now for the not so good- too many jokes that were misses, especially the running gag with Captain America and "language." Black Widow's little crush was more annoying than sweet. Lastly, not a bad really, but, as more characters enter the fray it gets harder for anyone to really stand out.

Una noche (One Night)

Great movie- very authentic, being filmed in Cuba and using Cuban actors too. It was nice getting a glance into this mysterious country, but one must not forget, a glance is like watching through a keyhole- it isn't the full view.

Young & Beautiful (Jeune Et Jolie)

So much potential but alas, so many unanswered questions.
What was Isabelle really searching for in prostituting herself? I will never really know, and neither will she it seems.

Seventh Son
Seventh Son(2015)

A fantasy adventure that should have been released on television, not cinemas.

More or less true to the source material; so you are basically watching the cartoon made real.

It is a huge surprise to me that I enjoyed this film for two reasons- I am not a fan of Cage movies and science fiction seems to be a dying genre in terms of originality. This movie took a whole new spin on things, the show had a religious undertone and it tried to subtly mesh science and religion together, but for me those aspects of the movie worked and help to make it stand out. The lack of cliches is what I most appreciated about Knowing, and, for that very reason, the show stands alone in terms of originality.

Nicostratos the Pelican

One of the best animal themed movies I have seen and an absolutely gorgeous film to behold.

The Impossible

A powerful and evocative film and certainly one of the top movies of 2012.

Deep Dark Canyon

While this movie was going on, any and every thing was catching my attention except the movie itself. Only if this show remained in the dark, it is just so lackluster.

I need to re-watch this, it's been a while, but I do recall really enjoying the suspense and and the intellectual battle between the two leads.

Time to Leave

Personally I found this movie to be depressing. Romain chose to die in isolation despite having people that love him and would of been there for him. But that was his way of lessening their pain and his own, although some would say he was just outright selfish and to some extent he was. Ultimately though, it is his life and he alone has the right to choose how he wishes to die. That matter aside, the show strictly focused on Romain's last few weeks. It would have been beneficial if we saw a bit more of Romain's past like why he and his sister became so distant and the reaction of everyone after his death. The show was short so there was room to add more content. Overall though the movie was a good depiction of mortality.
I find this quote fitting to conclude my review for this film. "We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone."

Not half bad......the concept was original and quite interesting but the execution needed work, and the acting could have done with some improvement as well.

The Time Traveler's Wife

I tread cautiously with any movie where time travel is part of the theme, but I really enjoyed this movie- definitely an epic love story that literally transcends time, a bitter-sweet one.

A beautiful film on so many levels. Undertow evokes so much emotion without even trying, with superb acting from the entire cast. The show felt so natural and real, not falling prey to cliches and fairy tales. Undertow is gem of a film, plain and simple.

Into the Woods

It got harder to watch as the show went on. Perhaps singing throughout the whole show wasn't the best idea especially when the singing left a lot to be desired.

Exodus: Gods and Kings

Not as bad as the recent Noah movie that went by; but this movie sorely lacked emotion among many other things.

The DUFF(2015)

Average film- good message at the end though.

Horrible Bosses 2

They should have left it alone and ended while they were ahead.

Kingsman: The Secret Service

Pure entertainment. All future spy movies please take a page out of this book.

Fifty Shades of Grey

I would admit I got quite a bit of amusement out of this show. As for the portrayal of the BDSM world- oh it was sorely lacking. A feather and a flogger with some rope is not cutting it, sorry.

Gone Girl
Gone Girl(2014)

Brilliant- Loved it!

I tried, I really did but this show was just awful. If it takes me months to finish a movie it tells a story- a bad one.

Big Hero 6
Big Hero 6(2014)

A lot of action but pretty touching as well.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

Final cinema movie for the year and I was not disappointed one bit. With each sequel The Hunger Games series gets better and better. The setting and emotion really made the film, and the acting- I must say Katniss Peeta really delivered. Oh and honourary mention to president Snow- love him.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

I must say I was disappointed with this film overall- the magic just wasn't there, both figuratively and quite literally. The movie was ridden with CGI, and many stupid people doing stupid things. With a lot of unnecessary segments that could have better been served to cover up some of the gaping holes in the story. All in all it boils down to the fact that Hobbit shouldn't have been divided into three films- that just brought in a lot of filler that took away from the overall story.

Student of the Year

The movie felt like India's version of Gossip Girl meets Prince Charming.

You're Next
You're Next(2013)

This movie straddles between nonsense and pure awesome- there is no middle ground. Admittedly, I got a lot of humor out of it, so I will lean with awesome this day.

The Maze Runner

There is certainly intrigue here with this latest young adult dystopian film. I look forward to the sequel to draw me in further.

As Above, So Below

As Above so Below is basically Descent meets Tomb Raider meets Full Metal Alchemist. The claustrophobic and grim setting really was the highlight of the film; the plot falls more on the convoluted side, but overall, the show was exciting up until the ending.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy can certainly give Avengers a run for its money.

The Guest
The Guest(2014)

Honestly, I don't know exactly what was the point of this film, but, it sure was fun with its main lead and thrilling electronic music.

Wow the rating are piss poor, but, surprisingly I found the movie to be satisfactory, though, that may be due to the reduced price I paid for the ticket.

It felt quite similar to Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor but was even worse with contrived scenes and typical cliches associated with these types of movies. Not to mention, people in films (especially women) that commit adultery all seem to be the victim- give me a break!

Before I Go to Sleep

Decent film, good twist, but probably not the best execution.

The Book of Life

A refreshing animated film- packed with foreign culture, music, and characters.

Jamie Marks Is Dead

An odd ghost story that struggles with with its narrative.

Kill Your Darlings

"Somethings once you have loved them they come yours forever, and, if you try to let them go, they only circle back and return to you- they become part of who you are or they destroy you."

The filming over the 12 years is truly impressive, as for the narrative of the film- not so much. Boyhood was pretty dull and sort of monotonous especially where the mother is concerned who was basically a walking poster lady for Lifetime.

Into The Storm

I can't remember the last natural disaster movie I have seen but Into The Storm though far from being the best disaster flick was not half bad, it grew on me, and the nostalgia helped to give the show a boost as well.

Dracula Untold

Simple movie but surprisingly enjoyable. I liked the ending of the film; did someone borrow from Castlevania Lord of Shadows finale?

The verdict is in- Annabelle was a passable horror film, had the ending been stronger the show could have been better.

Step Up: All In

Step Up certainly didn't go all in- previous installments were marginally better.

Young Adult
Young Adult(2011)

Charlize Theron as Mavis sold this show for me- she was such a bitch but I just loved her.

A Single Man
A Single Man(2009)

"Sometimes awful things have their own kind of beauty."

Was this movie a comedy because it sure felt like one- way too ridiculous to take seriously.

The Way He Looks

I was glad to see the amazing short film "I Don't Want to go Back Alone" was expanded into a feature length movie. The Way He Looks was simply beautiful in every way and so well acted, which made all the difference to an otherwise typical coming of age drama, albeit, with a perspective from a blind protagonist- which also helped to make the film stand apart from others in its genre.

Quite poor even for the low standards set by the horror genre as of late. That being said, it is the first time I have seen the guilty living triumph over the innocent dead, so for that the movie can get a point.

Batman: Assault on Arkham

Didn't too much enjoy this film, though, Joker and Amanda Waller were quite entertaining to watch.

The Giver
The Giver(2014)

The Giver didn't give enough.

They weren't kidding with the low budget. This had to be one of the least suspenseful alien abduction films I have seen- quite the bore.

This is just a film you have to experience- the atmosphere was palpable, the plot is simple but was rendered as a work of pure art and magic.

Oculus was refreshing, it breaks away from the ridiculousness in most horror movies for something simpler, more subtle, but just as evil.

The Quiet Ones

Marginally average at best but I must say the female lead was compelling.

Why name your daughter after a word synonymous with evil only for Maleficent to be sort of wicked for no more than forty minutes. Disney you should have stuck with the source material- no grand changes were needed.
The best thing about this film was Angelina's performance. A real shame, she would have been so much better if her heart was as black as her robes.

Need For Speed

Movies that are based off games I have come to expect little from, Need for Speed met these expectations, sadly.

Starred Up
Starred Up(2014)

Brutal, raw, and well acted. The UK never fails in the drama department, prison movies are no exception.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman

Couldn't help but love Mr. Peabody.

Interesting premise, bad show.

I wasn't expecting much but I sure was surprised that Hercules was actually decent for the most part- the anti climatic ending was a let down though.

This show is so far removed from the biblical tale of Noah, I had wondered if I were watching some sort of fantasy film on the Syfy channel. Even if I disregarded all source material; this show was a heavenly mess. At the same time though, the movie was pure comedy. Too bad it was in the wrong genre.

How to Train Your Dragon 2

It is a shade less brighter than its predecessor but nonetheless an excellent sequel to an awesome franchise. I look forward to the third installment.

My only real problem with this show was it was less about Godzilla and more about the foolish humans. This so called 'human element' didn't elicit any real emotion, so as to the reason why the film focused so heavily on the humans was beyond me.

Moderately funny; though at times the show was trying too hard to garner laughs.

The Other Woman

I enjoyed the movie well enough until it was too much of a 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' film. Could have been better had they minus the third girl who barely had a role to play, except to look pretty and act stupid.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Certainly an improvement to the first installment. Still I find that the Hunger Game movies are over hyped; there is nothing that I haven't seen before.

So basically this was a toned down version of Spartacus meets some random volcano movie. There isn't much to say here, except that I was rooting for the volcano to kill every damn person in the show.

Like drinking a glass of insipid coffee, it took me multiple watches spanning days just to finish this movie. I will not forget my wasted time.

Ways To Live Forever

"Our dead are never dead to us until we have forgotten them."
The one and only answer to ease our trouble souls.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

A story of a disturbed man that is obsessed with the smell of women which leads him to murder them and bottle their unique scent as a perfume. It certainly is a different movie which is refreshing because the serial killer genre needed a breath of fresh air, but the movie did step into the world of fantasy which made for a very odd tale but nonetheless compelling.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale

Another poignant film that is based on the true story of the ever loyal Akita- Hachiko, and his unconditional love and faithfulness for his master that extended long after his master's death until Hachi himself passed. One of the few films I would only watch once, it is just too sad to watch a second time.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas)

I have never forgotten this show, it is definitely one of the best Holocaust films out there because the story was novel and so very sad.The film teaches a brutal lesson about karma and how it doesn't necessarily have to come back at you directly.

47 Ronin
47 Ronin(2013)

An insipid film, the only thing it had going for it was some modest visual effects.

The Grandmaster

A beautiful movie to behold, the cinematography was pure art in motion. The story though was not as strong, but the character that stood out the most and I was most interested in wasn't IP Man whom the story revolves around but the female lead Gong Er. A female martial arts master, being born a woman she couldn't pass on the teachings of her father despite being as skilled as any master. Her story really resonated with me; it was the emotional center of the film.

300: Rise of an Empire

Wasn't expecting much but I came out of the cinema thoroughly satisfied. Also, Eva Green as Artemisia deserves a round of applause. Favourite quote: "You fight harder than you fuck." She made my list of villains you just got to love.

Nymphomaniac: Volume I

Surprisingly there was an actual story here.

What a contrived film this was; Judith's complete 180 was perhaps the most factitious aspect of the movie with all things considered. Oh on another note, the acting leaves a lot to be desired; starting with Kim Kardashian, surely Mr. Perry could have found someone with a bit of talent even if it was for such a minor role.

Out in the Dark

Powerful and evocative; a stark reminder of what many take for granted- liberty.
The two lead characters delivered excellent performances, quite authentic, but Jacob and his portrayal of Nimr was nothing less than superb, he was the heart of the film.

Date And Switch

This movie was rubbish, time I will never get back.

Geography Club

A cup half empty sort of film.

Justice League: War

Good movie but certainly not on the level of DC's other animated features.

The Wolverine

I think I preferred part one when the show felt more connected to the wider X men universe. Overall it is watchable but nothing great, the villains in this show were pretty pathetic.

DCU: Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox

Excellent! The best Justice League animated film I have seen, it is also the darkest filled with blood and murder. My only slight problem with the film is that I wished the fighting was a bit more over the top, still this has to be one of the best if not the best animated feature from DC and it was about time that Flash got his due.

This adaptation certainly cannot compare to the original or even the 2002 remake for that matter. Personally I didn't find Chloe Mortez the best choice to play the disturbed and pitiful Carrie; she just didn't pull off the character very well, and some of her scenes she was clearly overcompensating. Julianne Moore was great as the mother though. Beyond that the movie was certainly watchable. I just wished they had taken the film and made it their own instead of more or less doing the same exact thing with lesser results.

Don Jon
Don Jon(2013)

A movie about pornography needs to dive right in, not dance around the edges. That being said it still does a fair job of enlightening the viewer on porn versus reality in a very comedic fashion.

The Awakening

Ladybird, ladybird fly away home.
Your house is on fire and your children are gone.
All except one.

Battle of the Year

Dance movies just never cease to disappoint but with Battle of the Year I was disappointed in the one thing no dance movie should fail in- the actual dancing.

Frozen was a solid film but it had far more singing than the average Disney animated film. A shame really because the movie would of been better if most of the plot wasn't sung. Queen Elsa's ice powers were truly wondrous to behold, who knew ice and snow could be so amazing.

Free Fall (Freier Fall)

Overall a good film; although the lead character needed to be fleshed out more.

Iron Man: Rise Of Technovore

Why did I watch this again? Nothing noteworthy in this dull animated feature.

The Conjuring

Surprisingly The Conjuring was better than I thought. Still it isn't anything new to the very tired genre of demonic possession.

Captain Phillips

I wasn't expecting this film to be so thrilling but I was pleasantly surprised.

The Counselor

This movie was interesting but there are two serious negatives- unnecessarily wordy with all sorts of analogies just thrown in to baffle the viewer and the ending was so very weak. There certainly was potential but with all the words thrown at you things get confusing.

About Time
About Time(2013)

Quite a charming and sweet film.

Last Vegas
Last Vegas(2013)

An alright comedy, it had its moments.

Ender's Game
Ender's Game(2013)

I left the cinema before this pretentious movie even finished, it was that bad.

Thor: The Dark World

Certainly an improvement to its predecessor but this sequel was all over the place. I felt like I was watching Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Gravity, and I can go on. Frankly I didn't too fancy all the laser gun and ship action; Asgard is a "magical" realm, not a Star Wars world.

Silent Youth
Silent Youth(2012)

Laconic is the best word to describe this film but it was deliberate in order to try and evoke emotion through the many silent moments during the movie. Still I really wasn't moved by anything or anyone in this film and it is beyond me why I continued watching all the way to the end.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional is certainly an interesting film. The relationship between Liam and Owen or should I say Kristen was quite unorthodox, filled with contention and turbulence. I just watched on with rapt interest, eagerly waiting to see how it will all end.

This movie was so boring. For most of the movie I was watching Paul Walker recharging the batteries of his daughter's respiratory device and reminiscing about his dead wife, and their little love story really wasn't anything endearing.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters

This movie was all sorts of horrible. It could almost pass for a SyFy original.

Red 2
Red 2(2013)

Not as good as the first film.

Aleksandr's Price

Horrible film and horrendous acting.

We're The Millers

Over hyped but there was some comedy to go around.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa

Best comedy I have seen all year and possibly a few years back as well.

Insidious: Chapter 2

Insidious 2 took two steps backwards from its predecessor bringing them to where most horror movies are at- cliche! Such a shame because the first installment was really a gem.

Despicable Me 2

Frankly this movie wasn't that funny.

Kick-Ass 2
Kick-Ass 2(2013)

Certainly not as good as the first part, but I must take my hat off for Mother Russia, she is awesome, and Hit Girl gets an honorable mention.

Legend Of The Millennium Dragon

An interesting film, gorgeous to behold with a very different art style to it which was quite refreshing. Story wise the movie isn't as sharp as the visuals and it is a movie more suited for children, even so, it was a solid film.

Origin: Spirits of the Past

Similar to Princess Mononoke in some regards but not quite as good. The visuals were pretty nice and the opening prologue was intense, only added by the amazing song Chouwa Oto. Unfortunately the rest of the movie didn't quite live up to the grandness of the opening act.

Summer Wars (Sama Wozu)

Summer Wars really made the virtual world come to life with vivid colour and imagination. The movie really had a singular taste to it which made it quite interesting to watch despite the plot not being anything we haven't seen already, but the execution made all the difference. 7.5/10

The Butterfly Room

Enter the Butterfly Room at your own risk.

Curse of Chucky

For once a sequel that didn't suck. I found Curse of Chucky to be a very good conclusion to the franchise and it was nice seeing that evil hilarious bastard again after all this time.

Where was the comedy, the drama?

In Our Nature

After watching this movie I still have no idea why the father and son were so estranged, and overall the film lacked emotion which it desperately needed.

The Kings of Summer

Fun movie, likeable leads, fair amount of comedy, overall it was a good film.

The Croods
The Croods(2013)

Absolutely loved it; a refreshing film, visually stunning, and the creators get an A+ for creating such an imaginative world. The story was simple but charming, overall one of the best animated films I have seen in sometime.

I Spit on Your Grave 2

The sequel to me was even more brutal than its predecessor and sadly more unbelievable as well. Unfortunately the film sticks to the exact same formula of its predecessor, not wanting to be anything more than a crude torture-revenge film.

Plan B
Plan B(2009)

Needed a Plan C.

There is a reason it is called a Killer Whale. A very enlightening documentary on the dark secrets of Sea World that they do not want anyone to know. Set the whales free.

The East
The East(2013)

"The real world is where all the monsters are. Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster."

Byzantium was different for a vampire movie and it certainly had intrigue and a dark setting going for it. Unfortunately the show ran out of steam early on, leaving an insipid story to take in till the end.

Star Trek Into Darkness

Decent, although I really can't say it improved from part 1 and a general rule of thumb is that sequels should only get better, not remain stagnant. The villain was promising but he didn't live up to expectations nor did the final act of the film. Despite these shortcomings the movie was still enjoyable.

The Colony
The Colony(2013)

The movie lacked a great deal of depth; it felt more like an episode of walking dead than a full blown movie.

Aliens invade earth once again for energy. It really is amazing how Earth seems to provide boundless energy for aliens throughout the universe. Anyhow, Oblivion was a rather dull monotonous movie.

A seductive and fun movie. This is the second film from Xavier Dolan I have seen and for someone so young to be directing and acting in films like this, he has a very promising career ahead of him. I also tip my hat off to Monia Chokri, her character Marie was quite witty. Heartbeats may not have the deepest story but it still managed to be appealing.

How I regret the money I spent to watch this. For what was supposed to be a futuristic film Elysium was quite pedestrian. Best to watch at home for FREE whenever it becomes available.

The Guillotines

It has been so long since I have seen a good Kung Fu movie and clearly it is going to be even longer because "The Guillotines" was a major failure.

Least Among Saints

An insipid film and my cold heart felt not a bit of warmth whatsoever.

The First Time

The first and the last time.......

Pacific Rim
Pacific Rim(2013)

Quite an enjoyable film, very refreshing. By far the most action and destruction I have seen in a movie for quite sometime. My only grievance with the movie was that I wanted some more insight on the kaijus. If there is a sequel......story and character development is all they need to really improve on to have a masterpiece.

Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman(2009)

Brilliant as well as insightful on how Wonder Woman came to be and why she wears an American clad bathing suit, I never thought it had an explanation for that. The story was the strongest point of the film as it should be and the action was pretty decent as well.

Batman: Under the Red Hood

Brilliant and dark as expected of of a Batman feature; certainly the best animated Batman movie I have seen.

Superman vs. The Elite

The art style wasn't the best of what you expect from DC animated films but if there is one word I will use to describe this film, it would be 'refreshing.' The movie was humorous, a bit raunchy, and a nice twist thrown in for good measure. It certainly isn't your typical superman movie, it was more mature which helped to make it stand out against the many other superman titles.

Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

A collection of stories about the Green Lantern Corps, all of which were decent.

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse

Pretty damn good animated feature for me and certainly better than Public Enemies.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

Decent, though not the strongest of plots nor endings.

Justice League: Doom

Great film and it really shows that Batman trusts no one fully, including his greatest allies.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths

Loved it especially the ending. Honourable mention Owl Man, he was insane.

Evil Dead
Evil Dead(2013)

Is this what we call terrifying these days? This movie was ridiculous, just a gore fest with a few lines spoken per character in between each outlandish scene. The ending of the film was the best part. Also, I think it is about time the characters in horror films get half a brain, surely there is a way.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

It was even worse than the first film; flashiness doesn't make up for poor script and especially poor acting.

The Joneses
The Joneses(2010)

Interesting premise, lackluster movie.

Fast & Furious 6

What to say about this film? Unbelievable and ridiculous are some words that come to mind, but at least there was comedy to add some much needed padding. Since F&F5 the franchise have been pushing the levels of ridiculousness, it makes me wonder just how reality defying the upcoming sequel will be.

Every Day
Every Day(2011)

Really good movie, quite authentic really.

Enjoyable for the most part but dragged on too long.

Olympus Has Fallen

A fairly decent movie but there were some glaring flaws.

The Lesser Blessed

There is no gem to be found here- an insipid film.

21 And Over
21 And Over(2013)

At the very least it is watchable.

Under the Bed

What was under the bed? A pile of rubbish. A movie about some sort of boogeyman/monster/alien that feeds on dead skin and then its appetite grows to living flesh. Honestly this movie was poor.....sub par acting coupled with a weak plot. So you may want to avoid this one, though as far as horror films go, there are still wore movies than this.

The Good Boy (Segundo asalto)

I must agree with fellow reviewer Jim Chatman; the Spanish at least when it comes to the genre of drama sure do a great job. Although this film was lacking depth in my opinion, it still was a decent movie.

Cloud Atlas
Cloud Atlas(2012)

A very interesting tale of epic proportions.

I actually found this to be a very good movie, well acted, and real.

Visually stunning and a solid movie for the most part, but it was quite cliche, and the ending was very anti climatic which was the biggest disappointment for me.

Side Effects
Side Effects(2013)

An intriguing and suspenseful film. 8.5/10

Oz the Great and Powerful

A fair movie with beautiful visuals and a few surprises here and there. I must criticize the heavy use of CGI, the less than good acting, and the corny dialogue at times, with just a few changes the show could of been a great deal better. I must mention the porcelain doll, she was perhaps the best character in the movie.

A Good Day To Die Hard

My goodness what have they done? Hollywood really needs to learn to quit while they are ahead.

Come Out And Play

Boring and stupid for the most part but the ending I liked. It conjures up memories of Children of the Corn and Lord of the Flies, a shame it wasn't on the level of either of those movies. I was quite surprised by the showing of the explicit murder of children.....that is a taboo in film, so I give them credit for daring to be bold. Honestly those children needed to be killed.

Beautiful Creatures

Beautiful Creatures was certainly entertaining but at the same time the movie could of benefited from a bit more action and a more serious tone. Also I would of liked if the fantasy aspects of the show were better explored and explained, perhaps in the hinted sequel maybe.

Identity Thief

I have seen far worse........

Warm Bodies
Warm Bodies(2013)

Warm Bodies was better than I expected and it offered a fresh take on a overly worn out genre that is zombie movies.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters

Bloody, brutal, and silly. Hansel Gretel was certainly more a comedy than anything else, though I was not laughing all that much.

Dark Skies
Dark Skies(2013)

Yet another cliche alien abduction movie....sigh.

Pitch Black
Pitch Black(2000)

I remember this movie, it was quite intriguing and certainly a better film than its successor- The Chronicles of Riddick.

The Host
The Host(2013)

The Host was all kinds of corny. For once Twilight was the better love story; I was looking for this "epic" romance, the hottest chemistry, love like no other, but all those things were no where to be found. The Host sure missed the mark and sadly there was a bit of potential, but it remained untapped as the entire plot lacked substance.

A mediocre film about a lovestruck obsessed girl doting over a charming guy, nothing that we haven't seen before. The movie gets some credit though for trying to throw you off on who was the real psycho in the movie.

In the House
In the House(2013)

In the House blurs the line between fiction and reality, telling a story within a story. Its provocative and tantalizing, elusive yet seductive, filled with suspense, it leaves you guessing between what is real and what isn't.

The Other Son

The Other Son was a pretty good movie that delivers a simple humane message- we are all human and thus we are all family. The only major problem I had with the movie was the weak ending.

A very refreshing ghost story filled with suspense and thrills. Mama was exciting from beginning to end, also it was surprisingly funny. The non cliche ending was icing to the cake. Certainly the best horror movie I have seen in sometime.

My Brother The Devil

A refreshing drama that is very well acted. A story of two bothers that are caught up in a life of crime; as one brother leaves that world behind, the other joins in. That made for an interesting plot element, that and the bond between the brothers. The only fault I really had with the movie was the gay sub plot, it felt out of place, like it was just thrown into the film without much thought. Had that element been better thought out and developed, the show would of been even richer.

Life of Pi
Life of Pi(2012)

Life of Pi was an interesting story.....a farfetched one but nonetheless interesting.

Jack the Giant Slayer

Surprisingly I enjoyed this movie because I was expecting it to be awful but it wasn't. The show had more action than I was expecting for a PG-13 movie, so that was a bonus, and also it had a good few laughs here and there. So putting cliches aside Jack the Giant Slayer was a decent film.

A Haunted House

This movie borders on the line of crap, relying heavily on crude jokes, particularly jokes of a sexual nature, for a few laughs. I don't know why so many comedies these days believe over the top levels of vulgarity is the best way to get laughs, it isn't.

The Sex of the Angels (El Sexo De Los Angeles)

This was a fun movie.....that explores how 3 people all end up falling in love with each other. The 3 leads really did a great job acting wise, although I felt certain parts of the show were a bit underdeveloped, like Bruno falling for Rai in the earlier part of the movie. Oh don't be fooled by the name of the movie either, the movie wasn't all about sex, it had just a bit, and nothing really explicit either. Surprisingly one thing the movie lacked was a three way sex scene, it had one, it just wasn't shown, a bit odd, but say what, the director probably just left that one to our imaginations:)

This movie could of easily of been better with a bit more depth and substance.

Girls Against Boys

Utter rubbish....I am ashamed of myself for even entertaining this crap movie. Avoid at all costs.

Rise of the Guardians

Enjoyed this film; great visual appeal, decent action for a children's movie, sprinkled with a bit of humour. The only thing it was lacking was depth, I was actually quite interested in knowing more about the characters especially Pitch. Regardless the movie was quite enjoyable and imaginative in coming up with certain plot elements, wouldn't mind a sequel that can bring forth a richer story.

Red Dawn
Red Dawn(2012)

Not as good as Tomorrow, when the war began (which wasn't that good itself) which is more or less the same exact movie, just a different country being invaded.

Chasing Mavericks

Thoroughly enjoyed the film, the cinematography was brilliant, the ocean, the waves, just gorgeous to look at. Acting wise the show also delivers, the ending though came as a surprise, probably could of been handled better, but it wasn't a deal breaker though.

Silver Linings Playbook

A refreshing comedy drama with top notch performances especially by the two leads.

Playdate was intriguing and certainly had its share of suspense but the plot was thin and the characters even more so. The ending also was pretty weak. Still though the movie was watchable......probably would of made an excellent Lifetime original.

The Raid: Redemption

Though the movie sacrifices story for action, the tradeoff was was non stop fighting and thrills from beginning to end. This is probably one of the best adrenalin rushing action films I have seen in a while, far better than the likes of Expendables, that is for sure.

Hansel and Gretel Get Baked

This movie was actually quite funny and did a good job of portraying a modern day Hansel and Gretel story. The witch was the best part of the show.....that woman was psycho but quite hilarious as well.

Well this movie was certainly different and mildly interesting. The story seems to portray in my opinion, the inner battle of a young man against the norms and culture of the Indian society. Though the man himself never really makes any effort to grow and overcome his situation. It won't be a movie for everyone but it actually was watchable, much to my surprise.

You May Not Kiss the Bride

One of the worst comedy films I have seen in quite sometime.

The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia

Not as good as the first part but still watchable.

Bai she chuan shuo (The Sorcerer and the White Snake)

I was surprised because I actually enjoyed this amazing fantasy and had the director had access to a higher budget then the movie would be even better. But the show worked with what it had......and the visuals were actually pretty good.....I was expecting syfy level graphics. Story wise the show also interesting, a love story in a mystical world. The main problem with the movie is that the fantasy elements lacked depth but had just enough to get you by.

What Richard Did

Nothing that we haven't seen before...teenager kills someone by accident, lies about it, feels guilty and then......the show was well acted though but certainly not as dramatic as I expected it to be which is a shame, it could of boosted the show a lot.

Our Paradise (Notre Paradis)

An interesting look into the world of gay hustlers one being at the end of his career.......not a film for everyone.

It was mildly entertaining and was like a 20 minutes too long but it certainly was watchable even if its just to learn a bit on Norwegian folklore.

Extracted tried to be an inception and failed......there was some potential but due to many limitations it wasn't realized.

Mother's Day
Mother's Day(2012)

Full of thrills, lies, treachery, murder, and even a bit of suspense . Mother's Day had not a single boring moment with a strong performance from the psychotic mother (Mornay). The show did have a lot of violence and torture......some may say a bit too much, even I was a bit surprised....but mother and her children were very disturbed sick people, so it goes without saying that a high level of malevolence is to be expected. I must say I can't really find much fault with this movie......we got a bit of everything with a just the right level of adequacy, especially when considering the huge casts and sub plots.

Silent Hill: Revelation

The 2nd installment of Silent Hill is a far cry from the first part, completely disappointing.

Hello I Must Be Going

Quite a dull affair.......dull characters (except Danner), forced Chemistry, and to top it off a tired story that we have seen so many times before. If you are doing something old you need to up the charm and excitement not lower it.....still the show was watchable.

Taken 2
Taken 2(2012)

Certainly not as good as the first part and it just better not have a part 3.

Visually stunning and evocative at times but not as much as I expected.....sometimes it felt like I was just watching random pictures that really didn't contribute anything to this unspoken story.

Struck by Lightning

Surprisingly a very good movie with a good balance of comedy and drama.....the acting was pretty decent as well.

New Hope
New Hope(2012)

A very poor movie and to add insult to injury this film had some of the worst acting I have ever seen.

The first 20 minutes or so was pretty hard to swallow but looking past that the show wasn't half bad. Agent Snow (Pearce) made the show fun to watch.

The Man I Love

An emotional movie but not the most convincing of films in terms of how the characters connect and relate to each other.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

An evocative film to say the least with excellent performances from the young cast. This drama felt like something you would more see coming from one of those European countries. There was a level of richness to the story that is rarely ever seen in US produced dramas these days.

The Man With the Iron Fists

This show was all kinds of mess, it was scrappy and poorly done. The only thing I enjoyed in this movie was the character Madame Blossom played by Lucy Liu The rest of the characters were not one bit interesting to me. Overall this film was barely watchable so it will probably be best to avoid it all together.

The Bourne Legacy

Surprisingly a pretty decent film.

Noordzee, Texas (North Sea Texas)

A beautiful film that is subtle yet surprisingly powerful.

Pitch Perfect

Mildly funny with some alright musical performances, I was expecting more actually, oh well.

Premium Rush
Premium Rush(2012)

I didn't really enjoy this film, and I think its the kind of movie where you either hate it or like it. Frankly Premium Rush didn't do such a good job appealing to me as it probably would to bicycle messengers, riders, and enthusiasts alike. So if you like bicycles and "chase" films then this move will probably be for you, if you really don't want to see a movie where everything involves riding through the busy streets of New York dodging cars, etc, then avoid this film.

Savages for the most part was a fun, sexy, and thrilling. The story was pretty exciting, the setting was awesome, and the characters were interesting, most of them at least. Ophelia (Lively) was boring, there wasn't anything to her really, just that she was some rich girl in love with two men, sounds oh too familiar, Gossip Girl anyone. Beyond that my only serious complaint about Savages was the weak cliche ending. Frankly even the director didn't seem to know what to do with the end and opted for an imagined and real ending which only ticked me off more because the imagined ending was actually better. Ultimately though the best ending for me was neither those two so the show certainly lost points there but nonetheless I enjoyed Savages for the most part.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2

By Twilight standards Breaking Dawn 2 is the best Twilight, but by normal movie standards the finale of Twilight like all the parts before it is one hell of a crappy love story. I must also mention that the finale delivered Kristen's worst performance of the 5 movies. But I will commend the director for the minor yet major change he made to the ending of the movie which varied from the book much to my satisfaction and I think most people were also quite pleased when considering the finale of the book had no big dramatic battle about anti climatic. I will give the finale 6/10 and that is being gracious.

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1

A show that only fans can truly appreciate, I am not a fan but this movie was bearable compared to the first two films especially, and that is probably because breaking dawn part 1 wasn't drowning in teenage love melodrama.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Twilight isn't my cup of tea, but Eclipse was certainly an improvement over the two previous lackluster Twilight films.

Certainly a pretty good movie but I am afraid it falls short from excellence for me due to two things; the lack of amazing hand to hand combat sequences, and a very anti climatic ending which was really the blow below the belt for me.

House at the End of the Street

Predictable, and non original. It seems that this show was truly detested by most but I found it to be quite amusing which I believe was unintentional. In the end though the bit of comedy it offered here and there is what made it bearable.

Wow these ratings are way too high in my opinion. Sinister was monotonous, boring, and without any twist or turns. I just wanted it to reach the end as quick as possible. Basically the majority the show was a man watching some old videos of families getting murdered over and over, and for no apparent reason he never turns on any damn lights in the house. Oh and it has some sought of supernatural evil that actually never did anything really in the show. Sinister is one of the worst horror films of the year for me.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

Absolutely nothing new but still fun, actually I found it to be the funniest of the 3 films.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

I really can't say anything bad about the film even though I want to. The over sweetness broke me down. Disney you are quite sly but at least the ending wasn't completely cliche.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

This film borders on that dangerous line between garbage and watchable with no sought of comedy to tip it in the right direction. Frankly vampire movies just need to take a decade long break in my book starting from now..........wishful thinking though.

The Expendables 2

The "relics" of action movies long past gather again for Expendables 2, why? I do not know. Its the same old crap as part 1 (I think slightly worse actually but I can't really remember part 1 for good reason), just straight up shooting and explosions throughout the entire movie topped with some of the worst dialogue and catch lines I have ever heard in an action film. Perhaps the best line in the movie came from Arnold when he mentioned they all belong in a museum, I couldn't agree more.

After 4 years I now remembered I saw this movie, it certainly was one of the better science fiction films that I have seen.

Step Up Revolution

The same old really, thin plot, overly dramatic love story, sprinkled with random dancing throughout. In the case of this Step Up since its about a flash mob the random dancing actually makes sense. Still though I had a bit of fun watching it, I have learned to watch Step Up solely for the dancing and the good looking faces because none of the movies ever offered more than that, and the latest installment is no exception.

The Collector

A cheap knockoff of Saw gone terribly bad, not to mention this was also a stupid movie, but in their defense a smart horror film is a very rare thing to come by.

Lord of the Flies

I never got around to reading the book but this was one hell of a movie. I saw this a few years back as we had to write an analysis on this film for Literature. I wasn't expecting much but considering the time in which this film was made and that the entire cast consisted of kids no older than the age of fourteen I was very much impressed by the acting and the movie overall.

Lackluster and disappointing.

Ted was pretty fun.

The Divide
The Divide(2012)

"To survive the end of the world you must first survive each other." A story that depicts a group of people that survived a nuclear attack and over time how they began to mistrust each other and devolve from empathic/sympathetic people to nothing more than "crazed animals." The Divide was very intense, dark, disturbing, and though not a positive film by any account, it certainly was quite evocative. I believe due to the grim and morbid nature of the movie that it turned many people off which resulted in biased opinions. The Divide may not of depicted humans in a good light but it was quite realistic and well acted, I couldn't ask for more than that.

"A princess defies fate." It was good to see a strong female lead that isn't subjected to all the Disney cliches. But beyond that Brave doesn't have much to offer beside its glossy looks and Scottish charm.

The Moth Diaries

Lackluster + Predictable = Waste of Time

The Campaign
The Campaign(2012)

The Campaign is crude but funny to a certain extent.

Tomorrow, When the War Began

Teenagers band together and fight against military forces that have invaded their homeland. Honestly I couldn't take this movie seriously at all, but at the same time it was due to that very reason that I had fun watching it.

Tonight You're Mine

Two rockers get handcuffed together during a music festival and fall in love. The chemistry between the two characters needed work as well as the story. But what saves this movie is the actual live music festival taking place during the entire length of the show. The music was pretty awesome if you are into punk rock and it gives the show a very much needed energy boost, thus saving this film from being a rather dull affair.

It's Kind of a Funny Story

This story was quite dull considering the premise. I have a strong feeling that a real psych ward would be a lot more interesting.

Save Me
Save Me(1993)

A story of a Christian run ministry and their work to convert gay people. I honestly didn't have high hopes for this film but Save Me turned out to be quite an evocative and enlightening film. Surprisingly the acting was pretty decent and the movie had a good level of depth.

Kaboom is certainly one of the weirdest shows I have seen. It felt like some weird supernatural science fiction bi sexual soft core porn film. I don't know how else to really describe it, there was just so much going on this movie and I mean a lot (coming of age, sexual exploration, drugs, magic, cult, just to name a few). The show had some level of intrigue and some parts were quite provocative as well, a shame the ending was so crappy. Movie wise Kaboom is horrible but entertainment wise it had something to offer and it also helped that some of the characters were easy on the eyes.

This show certainly had intrigue and its probably the only reason I watched it all the way to the end. A shame intrigue is all it had going for it.

A person seeking revenge uses a voodoo box to kill people. How I wish I had that voodoo box to enact some revenge of my own for wasting my time.

Not Suitable for Children

A guy races against the clock to procreate when he finds out that he will soon be infertile. This was a fun and smart movie with a nice bit of humor here and there. It was also interesting to see from a guy's perspective the issue of infertility or pending infertility in this case.

A crap movie that you should just avoid unless you want to waste your time.

Ronal Barbaren (Ronal the Barbarian)

A slightly disturbing animated film about barbarians running around in g strings, gay elves, and promiscuous amazon women. The movie had its share of laughs but it wasn't as funny as I had envisioned.

Dark Shadows
Dark Shadows(2012)

This movie was a mixed bag and my opinion on it varies, despite its shortcomings Dark Shadows is certainly watchable.

I Love You, Man

Quite enjoyable and not your typical run of the mill comedy.

The Strangers

Honestly this movie was damn creepy, the "strangers" literally tormented their victims for the entire movie before finally murdering them. I have never seen anything like it and it was the novelty that made this show stand out at the time.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

My goodness this movie was just horrible. Narnia was never that great to begin with but this was just a devastating blow.

Hostel Part II

Hostel didn't need a second part but it still managed to be above average.

A Disney classic for me, a shame the classics are becoming rarer and rarer by the year and we are in 2012 already.

The Matrix
The Matrix(1999)

Revolutionary, a masterpiece among movies.

Scary Movie
Scary Movie(2000)

Up there with White Chicks and Scary Movie 2. Oh wait all of them share a similarity, the Wayan brothers, I wonder if that is the secret?

Saw 3D
Saw 3D(2010)

I really enjoyed the Saw series but all good things must come to an end. The last movie of the Saw franchise was by far the worst.

Chernobyl Diaries

The level of stupidity in this show was pretty high even by horror movie standards. Although I must say the atmosphere and the setting of the show were certainly quite dreadful. Really it is a shame because this movie could of easily of been a lot better, there was a lot of potential but it was squandered on cliches and cheap frights.

After Sex
After Sex(2007)

I enjoyed half of the short stories, the other half of them not so much.

Last Night
Last Night(2011)

A story about marriage, temptation, and ultimately betrayal. An average film really, it would of been better had it not been for the ending.

Red Lights
Red Lights(2012)

This show was going good for about the first 45 minutes but then it went steadily downhill from there. Frankly the death of Weaver's character coincided with the start of the downward spiral of the movie and it was no coincidence, her character was the only interesting person in this show. Also one of the the two plot twist I saw coming a mile away, the other one was just plain bad .

Resident Evil: Retribution

Retribution has taken the "Resident Evil series" to its lowest point ever. This is the first movie in the "RE" series where the plot had almost zero advancement. Basically it was a rescue mission to save Alice where 95% of the show was her advancing through a massive superstructure (Umbrella's money and technology have no limits it seems) killing enemies along the way. The only major things we learned are; the Red Queen has taken control of Umbrella if she wasn't in control of it from the very start (is this a show about zombies or an AI bent on destroying the world?), Wesker is alive and supposedly good (give me a break), and lastly there is another movie to come (why oh why).

Everything else that transpires in the movie is not memorable. The acting was really at an all time low and the piss poor dialogue just made things worse . Alice was really the only thing that held the Resident Evil franchise together but she has been in a sinking ship for quite sometime now. A ship that sank with the previous movie (Afterlife) and is continuing to sink ever deeper.

Resident Evil: Extinction

Of all the Resident Evil movies to date, this is the one I enjoyed the most.

Resident Evil: Damnation

I have never played any of the Resident Evil games but I absolutely enjoyed Damnation, it was simply brilliant. The story, the characters (Svetlana and Ada were amazing), the action, it were all top notch. Frankly this animated movie was way better than the live action Resident Evil: Retribution film that was released not too long ago which share some of the same characters (Ada and Leon). Actually as far as I am concerned this movie is better than all the live action RE films to date. So whosoever creates the real life RE films please take note of "Damnation" and try and follow suit.

Son Frere
Son Frere(2004)

Too depressing for my taste and void of all emotions excepting sadness, anger, and pity. I can't even recall one really happy moment in the show and I felt as if the two brothers still had several issues left unresolved.

A Summer Day (Un jour d'ete)

Frankly I was disappointed in this show, very lackluster and almost completely void of emotion. Also the lead character sexuality was quite ambiguous, if that was intentional or not I really can't say.

I absolutely enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. Prometheus was visually stunning, filled with suspense, and a chilling atmosphere. The cast and acting were pretty good for the most part, although I found Theron's character to be greatly wasted which is a shame because she was one of the 3 interesting characters in the movie. It was quite refreshing to see an alien movie where earthlings explore an extraterrestrial world instead of all the time aliens coming to Earth to destroy us (that plot is tired and boring now).

Prometheus also brings up several interesting philosophical questions (which isn't typical of alien movies of late) like who created us and why? For what purpose? All the questions brought up were not answered in the movie but will undoubtedly be explained as the amazing story of Prometheus is expanded upon in the sequels to come. Also it is worth mentioning though not a direct sequel to the movie Alien, Prometheus is part of the same universe as Alien. And there is a lovely or should I say scary surprise that was quite satisfying I must say. I probably already spoiled it by just saying that so I will stop now.

Official Score: 8.5/10

People Like Us

I don't know why I thought this was a movie about incest, although had it been one, it certainly would of been more dramatic. A simple story really; a guy discovers he had a sister he never knew about, he decides to meet her under false pretenses and befriends her all while hiding the truth from her (honestly that was so stupid especially....), and well I am sure you all can figure out the rest.

Think Like a Man

A little on the long side but "Think Like a Man" was a solid comedy and it managed it without having to resort to vulgarity which is rarely ever funny as it is distasteful.

I saw better abduction movies than this on Lifetime. Gone was underwhelming from beginning to end. I won't even waste my time reviewing this film in depth.

Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding

It is watchable, nothing more, nothing less.

What to Expect When You're Expecting

Simple but enjoyable with just the right balance and depth for an ensemble cast of this size.

The Possession

The average exorcism movie is better than this. Possession tried somewhat to offer something new, but the movie would of probably been better had they not tried.

The Cold Light of Day

This movie was quite dull and underwhelming which was a surprise considering some of the noteworthy actors in the show. Henry Cavill in particular disappointed me, so far his best performance to date is in the hit series the Tudors. It makes me wonder if the big screen is really for him.

The Five-Year Engagement

Certainly watchable but this show was a bit on the long side and the comedy wasn't constant throughout the film unfortunately.

Three campers must face off against their clones, in the process the three campers learn hidden truths about each other and themselves as well. Not a bad movie, the plot was interesting and fresh. But the acting was average at best and the show could of done with a bit more action, still though the movie was certainly watchable and I enjoyed the ending.

A story of cross generational love and artificial incest. For a movie that is supposed to be the ultimate taboo I found it didn't dive in deep enough into the very sensitive subject matter. There was a lot of emotion in the movie though, very subtle but at the same time very strong. Both Green and Smith gave strong performances, they had to considering the great majority of the show is really solely about those two characters.

You really did see and feel the struggle of Rebecca's maternal feelings versus her sexual feelings for her son especially as he grew into a young man. Thomas feelings for his mother also started to build up as he grew older, of course he couldn't understand why he was feeling the way he did. A shame Thomas only found out the truth in the end, the movie would of benefited greatly if they explored his feelings and emotions more closely and in a more gradual manner.

The show really leaves you to interpret a few things, if this was intentional or not, I do not know, but certain things are better defined than interpreted. Ultimately though you do get a sense of closure especially when Thomas utters his last words before departing. And all matters were touched on, I just wished certain things the movie could of delved deeper into.

The Cabin in the Woods

Cabin in the Woods is certainly unique, I have never seen anything like it before. But originality was all it had going for it unfortunately. Honestly, this movie is really a matter of taste and though I won't say it was complete rubbish, I certainly didn't find it any good. The ratings were far higher than I expected for a movie that I am still very unclear of. Is this film; a horror, a comedy, garbage, or just one huge joke. I pick garbage.

StreetDance 3D

Great dancing, good story, and slightly above average acting (which is a rare thing for a dance flick) make Street Dance 3D a pretty decent film. Its better than a few American dance movies and its certainly an overall better film than Street Dance 2.

I really enjoyed this show; the three bridesmaids were sheer entertainment from beginning to end.

StreetDance 2

Surprisingly not a bad show. The story is incredibly thin but the acting was satisfactory which is more than I could say for other dance movies. As for the dancing, the show has some good dance sequences but I am afraid the American dance films got them beat when it comes to choreography.

The Dictator
The Dictator(2012)

Putting aside the gross humor and the many hit and misses in the Dictator, the show was an alright comedy.

Ken Park
Ken Park(2002)

Four problematic teens, one outrageous movie. This show was as vulgar as it was pointless. I was surprised by the amount of sex in this film and most of it was not in good taste.

Y Tu Mama Tambien

A sizzling road trip movie.........

An Australian film about surfing, coming of age, and life. The movie had a raw natural feel to it that I really liked. It was a good movie with surprisingly good acting.

Going South (Plein sud)

A boring movie with a scattered, incomplete plot.

As Melhores Coisas Do Mundo

Typical plot, even so it was a good movie.

Kick Off
Kick Off(2010)

Gay vs Straight football team, who will win? Surprisingly I found this show to be hilarious despite how cheap the movie feels. Almost every character was crazy funny and the thick British accent of all the characters just made them pure comedy to listen to.

Fright Night
Fright Night(2011)

Can't remember too much about this show, but I do remember it not being much good.

We Are What We Are

This movie goes beyond just cannibalism. It was a very interesting film, and at the heart of this dark story is a tale of family bonds. The ending truly made the show for me, definitely worth watching.

Special effects aside, this show was a disaster. There were so many plot holes in battleship that it sank itself. I can't even say the acting was any better, Rhianna had me cringing every-time she opened her mouth and the lead character's acting wasn't anything to remember. This is one alien show I was just hoping that the aliens could win so that the show could end. I would like to write a full review of Battleship but honestly there are too many faults to write about.

Il Compleanno (David's Birthday)

The show felt like art in motion which is what the director I believe wanted to portray. The film is not going to be everyone's cup of tea but one cannot deny the artistic feel the show has. My only problem was David's character lacked depth but perhaps he was just meant to be an object of desire and nothing more. If that was the case then the film achieved its goal.

Le refuge (Hideaway (Le refuge))

A decent drama about childbirth, family, relationship, and sexuality.

A Lonely Place to Die

It exceeded my expectations, pretty enjoyable.

Princess Mononoke (Mononoke-hime)

You know a classic when you see one.

Spirited Away

Spirited away takes you into a world of magic and grandeur that you will never forget.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

A visual masterpiece; how I wish I had seen this on the big screen. The story though good could of easily of been a lot better had they added more depth to it.

Wild Bill
Wild Bill(2011)

A really good family drama. I was surprised by how realistic the relationship between the father and his sons was. I would of loved to see a bit more of Bill's wild side, but overall, the show was a diamond in the rough.

Ice Age: Continental Drift

Saw it for free so I couldn't complain much. Had I paid money to watch it, I would be singing a different tune.

This show was a hot mess of a comedy, with a super convoluted plot. It had its moments of laughs though, so it wasn't all bad I guess.

Wow, what did I just watch?

Not too bad, a little bit too self righteous though.

American Reunion

This show is beyond tired now.

The Amazing Spider-Man

The Amazing Spider Man was better than I expected. Good comedy and action, but the show's graphics wasn't top notch like its predecessor and it showed periodically during some of the action scenes. Another issue for me was the villain- aka Lizardman barely felt threatening and wasn't focused on as much as he should of been. Garfield though pulled off a pretty good Peter Parker, he had his own unique humor and demeanor that just clicked.

A Better Life

Emotional and engaging. The show felt very authentic which made it all the more compelling. Excellent performances from the two leads, the father son relationship was at the heart of the show and it was a beautiful to behold.

30 Minutes or Less

A very crude film with way too much unnecessary cursing. As far as comedy goes though, the movie has some laughs in it, but less than 30 minutes.

The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros

What a film; a movie about family living in poverty and having to resort to petty crime to make a living. You get a raw view of how the people live in the slum areas of Manila. The youngest son Maximo is an effeminate 12 year old boy that fills in the roll of his deceased mother and he ends up falling for the new young police officer, the show handles that relationship with great sensitivity never crossing any lines. This brings Maxi in conflict with his family and things spiral out of control but luckily there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Maxi and his brothers found that light in each other, showing that when a family sticks together they can endure and overcome great hardships.

Walk on Water

A film that shows despite the many differences that may exist between people; human connection can transcend borders, sexuality, bad history, and even personal perceptions. Walk On Water was an enlightening movie and a pretty good one for the most part, but the ending needed work.

Órói (Jitters)

The first Icelandic movie I have ever seen and probably the last if all their movies are like this one. This show bit off more than it could chew; sometimes less is better. The entire cast of characters were more or less underdeveloped in my opinion as well as their personal stories. Gabriel's gay storyline seems to have taken a backdrop for most of the show and that is weird considering he is the main protagonist. It would of been nice if Gabriel and Marcus's "connection" was better developed but there were many other things going on that took away from that. Overall the show is watchable but there isn't much passion in this story to give it the excitement that it so desperately needed.

The Uninvited

I am surprised by the low rating, I found this to be an excellent suspense horror film.

The Last House on the Left

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, certainly not for everyone, and though it is another revenge rape story; this time it is from the parents' perspective and boy were those parents vengeful.

I Spit On Your Grave

A rape victim gets revenge, as sweet as the revenge was, the rest of the movie was lackluster.

Snow White and the Huntsman

Only if I had a magic mirror that could of warn me about this show. In Snow White's defense; the show was not bad but it certainly wasn't great either and the worst part of it was the potential was there but sadly it was not realized.
Visually the show was a masterpiece, and the show was sprinkled with some cool CGI effects but that is where the magic ended. Most of the characters were underdeveloped, Snow White herself being one of them and she is the star of the show. Her love connection with the Huntsman needed work and what was the point of Snow White's childhood sweetheart who turned out to be Prince William? Charlize Theron as the evil Queen was pretty good, sometimes over the top, almost bipolar but good nonetheless. And Hemsworth as the Huntsman wasn't bad either, but unfortunately it was only those two characters that really stood out overall in the show.

Wrath of the Titans

Sadly Wrath of the Titans offers almost nothing new from its predecessor. Wrath suffers from the same thin plot (if not thinner), bland acting (if not blander), forgetful characters, and lack of humor of Clash. The action and CGI creatures were good, just as it was with Clash, probably marginally better.

John Carter
John Carter(2012)

John Carter is by no means a masterpiece of a movie but it is certainly not a flop either. I think the show bit off more than it could chew with a somewhat convoluted plot. The film gave a us a bit of everything but at the same time the focus was greatly divided among these elements. As a result there were certain elements of the show that lacked depth like the villains true purpose. The movie could of possibly been better had the director opted for less with increased quality instead of quantity. Still though John Carter was pretty enjoyable with great action for a Disney movie, there was comedy here and there, and of course romance.

Mysterious Skin

A very honest movie with all round excellent performances. Mysterious Skin takes you into the dark world of child sexual abuse and how it has affected two boys lives ever since. It is certainly not a film that everyone will be able to stomach as the subject matter may be quite disturbing to many, but the movie does an excellent job of illuminating the varying effects that abuse causes. If you are able to stomach the show though it will be a resonant experience.

To Save a Life

A Christian movie, really? I didn't find the religious overtone to be that prominent (which may be a good or bad thing for different people) but it was a solid teen drama nonetheless.

Twelve Thirty

A very long, boring, and bland movie. Honestly after watching it I retained almost nothing from the show, and that tells a story.

Project X
Project X(2012)

Project X was beyond outrageous, somewhat ridiculous, full of debauchery, and it was sheer madness from beginning to end. It certainly succeeded in being the ultimate high school party movie, in a matter of fact the greatest party movie ever. The movie only had one goal which it accomplished so do not expect to find anything of meaningful substance in Project X because you will be surely disappointed. Once you can accept that fact, then there is no reason you can't enjoy this hell of a roller coaster ride, I certainly did.

Patrik 1,5, (Patrik Age 1.5)

Takes the typical child adoption plot and mixes things up a bit. Goran and Sven a gay couple adopt a 15 month old baby but there was a mix up and instead they adopt a 15 year old homophobic boy instead. From there the comedy and drama ensues. The acting was great, it felt genuine, and all the pieces of the movie came along nicely together which I was a bit worried about. Ultimately the show may not be anything really new to some but it was nonetheless enjoyable.

Gran Torino
Gran Torino(2009)

Typically not my kind of movie but I really loved this film. It was well acted, a lot of emotion, a decent amount of comedy, and it was very touching as well. I couldn't ask for anything more.

The Ruins
The Ruins(2008)

Killer plants that can whisper to you, it made for an interesting movie I must say. Plus there was a good bit of gore for those that are in to that.. The show could of easily been better though.

Trust me there are worse alien movies out there, just take a look at Gareth Edwards' Monsters and you may have to reconsider your stand on this movie.

Dead Silence
Dead Silence(2007)

I have to admit I did enjoy this show but it certainly isn't for everyone. But the movie does deliver on the horror and the thrills, so its worth a watch.

Vanishing On 7th Street

I actually enjoyed this show, it was quite original for me, some of the plot elements were smartly thought out. But it was the suspense that had me going, that and wanting to know what the hell was happening. You never do find out what was causing everyone to disappear but the show alluded to several things. Normally I dislike shows that doesn't shed proper light on what is causing this and why. However for this movie the mystery remaining in the dark was well suited especially considering its a movie about darkness and shadows.

The Entitled
The Entitled(2011)

Not bad at all, good plot, good suspense, good acting, and a few twists here and there. What more could one ask for. I thoroughly enjoyed the film, especially Kevin with his conniving and manipulative ways, he played his role well I must say.

Absent (Ausente)

Absent is a suiting name because several things were lacking in this show. The plot was incredibly thin, certain things were unrealistic, and the movie was in desperate need of a spark of life. Honestly there was potential, a shame it wasn't realized.

Mirror Mirror

The story was a bit amateurish in my opinion and the show was only mildly funny. Still though, I guess it wasn't a complete waste of my time, but this movie is certainly a one time event.

This is one horror film that didn't fall into the realm of cliche and predictable. It may not of been scary but it was filled with thrills from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed this show and it gave a new meaning to a series of unfortunate events. I must also say for the first Israeli horror ever made it certainly was a great start, though this show to me was less of a horror and more of a thriller.

Burning Man
Burning Man(2012)

An emotional roller coaster ride of a film. 7.5/10

21 Jump Street

A pretty funny show especially for the first hour, although the comedy did start to lapse after that. Nevertheless it is a solid comedy flick albeit a raunchy one.

Cowboys & Aliens

Another movie I had to skim through.

I had to skim through this show.

The Vow
The Vow(2012)

Simply beautiful

The Tortured
The Tortured(2012)

Not bad at all, the show captured the emotion of the family pretty well, the flashbacks and music was well thought out. As for the plot it needed some work; Elise and Craig torturing their son's murderer felt forced and scripted. The torture was pretty senseless as well, the show needed more drama to support it, but the twist at the end is probably what made the show worth watching.

The Hunger Games

After the long wait I found the movie underwhelming. It was good but it could easily of been great had they made the hunger games itself more exciting. I waited so long for an amazing emotional battle for survival, but I am afraid the show didn't quite hit the mark there for me. Instead the battle was straightforward, the many deaths you didn't care about because we got no sought of background information on most of the other competitors therefore no sought of attachments was made. Peeta was also pretty useless in this, I was expecting more from him, such a shame.

Marvel's The Avengers

The Avengers team was done well, but Loki and his minions needed work. Loki barely seemed to be a threat and his powers was also greatly downplayed, come on he is a god, not a super soldier. As for the aliens they needed to be deadlier, they seemed so pathetic, a normal human task force could of defeated them. Nevertheless the show was pretty good, just not excellent. Hopefully Avengers 2 will hit the A grade.

This Means War

Predictable and cliche, but at least it managed to be mildly funny, mainly thanks to Chelsea Handler.

Joyful Noise
Joyful Noise(2012)

Not bad at all, but could of been better had it not been so cliche.

Caught Inside

Watchable, no more no less

Enter Nowhere

This show was so intriguing from start to finish. A science fiction unlike any other that I have seen. The movie I must say came good with the concept. Full of suspense, it really had me trying to unravel the mystery before the show did. I found this low budget movie to be a hidden gem and I certainly recommend giving it a watch, and just try to figure out the mystery.

The Corridor
The Corridor(2010)

I really can't say this movie was good, but the fact that I watched the whole show has to count for something, I guess.

We Need to Talk About Kevin

Subtle yet deep. Excellent performances across the board especially by Tida Swinton (Eva) who captured the look and feel of complete anguish, and then there is Ezra Miller (Kevin) who you couldn't help hate but in a good way. This show will leave you wondering what would I do if my child was like Kevin?

Make the Yuletide Gay

Innuendos and charm are the words that best describe this show.

New Year's Eve

I never thought I would of said this but Valentine's Day was actually better than this show, and Valentine's Day was crap, so that says a lot about what to expect for this film- don't waste your time folks.

The Darkest Hour

Darkest Hour certainly didn't portray the world's end but the concept of the aliens I found interesting when I thought they were energy beings. Of course when I saw the aliens for what they really were, well lets just say they should of stuck to invisible invaders. I can't say this alien flick offered anything new in terms of story, same old thing (aliens invaded earth for our natural resources indiscriminately murdering many to achieve their goals). The location was new though, I always wondered why aliens only invaded the US. Acting wise- the quality of the acting matches the low budget of the movie. The characters were paper thin and they lacked the prowess needed to give this show the desperate push that it needed. Despite all that I said, I actually didn't regret watching the show, luckily I was smart enough to realize that this movie wasn't worth cinema money but it certainly wasn't a waste of my time. Trust me when I say there are far worse alien movies than this and some of them had a lot more money at their disposal.

Friends With Kids

Well acted and well done, Friends With Kids is a nice romantic comedy that reminds us that sometimes that one special person you are looking for is sometimes right in front of your eyes.

The Woman in Black

I am all for tradition but this show was quite pretentious, and once you see through the ruse, you will see the movie for what it really is- another plain old ghost story that was quite boring as it was lifeless.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2

I am sorry to say but the last film felt rushed which is beyond me considering the last chapter was divided into 2 films. I always complained about the underwhelming level of action in the Harry Potter films, and though this last movie gave me action it came at the cost of the story, and emotion. I was waiting to feel the many emotions you would expect the characters to feel in the end but unfortunately I felt nothing. Lastly there are some things I wished they kept faithful to in the book but I guess even with 2 movies that was too much to ask for. 6.5/10

I think every law of Physics was defied in this movie, this had to be one of the most unbelievable action films I have ever seen. I can't say the story was any more compelling than the action either. In the end the acting was the only thing real about this show.

Sucker Punch
Sucker Punch(2011)

I really don't know what to say about this, watch at your own risk.

Almost Kings
Almost Kings(2012)

The movie was not bad, I just wished the ending could of been stronger.

We Bought a Zoo

Benjamin and Dylan were essentially the driving wheels of this heart warming story. 6.5/10

The Sitter
The Sitter(2011)

Watchable but barely.

Tron Legacy
Tron Legacy(2010)

I actually enjoyed this show, not bad considering that Disney had their hands in this. A visual masterpiece and an excellent soundtrack, a shame the story and action weren't on the same level.

Suicide Room (Sala Samobojcow)

A good movie with great performances from the entire cast. The movie was dark, yet alluring, depressing yet exciting. The movie is more about Dominik's downward spiral than it is about the topic of suicide, but his downward spiral was well done and mostly very believable. The movie had room for improvement; the show could of certainly benefited by taking the topic of suicide more seriously and showing all the sides to it, unfortunately this movie isn't really about stopping suicide in the least. Also Dominik who is the main character is gay but yet falls in love with a girl, although their relationship was on an emotional level, so it can be overlooked I guess. It would of just been more convincing had it been a guy. The interpretation of the cyber world was pretty good and it added a unique flare and feel to the show that many other similar movies fail to accomplish. Overall I enjoyed the show and had no regrets in watching it. Warning though, watching this show by your self could make you feel pretty isolated and a bit depressed.

The film is certainly watchable, nothing more, nothing less.

This show was so boring, I don't know what normal child would enjoy this, everything else about the movie was fine though but just 'fine' not perfection like so many claim. This show is certainly for those that are interested in seeing a movie about movies, or the very patient, no one else.

Jack and Jill

Can't say more than don't even bother to waste your time watching this film.

Quite enjoyable despite however improbable the things in it are.

Not as bad as everyone says it is, personally I find it to be one of Cage's better shows to be honest.

I Love You Phillip Morris

A funny and smart film, Jim Carrey delivers once again in what had to be his most interesting and daring role to date.

Clapham Junction

It is certainly not another gay cliche movie, and thank goodness for that. A very honest show with a serious story to tell.

Goes against the typical cliches of teen dramas which made the show quite daring.

Underworld: Awakening

Not as good as any of its predecessors in my opinion. Same old crap that we have seen in the three previous movies with a far less compelling story, and some not so good graphics.

Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans

A prequel wasn't necessary as the first film gave us a solid foundation on the history of the vampires and the lycans. Basically it just expands on what you already know with almost nothing new to offer.

I enjoyed this film a good deal for the action and King Hyperion, but I cannot deny that the story was lackluster. Really its a show for action lovers, but since I am not a testosterone addict and enjoyed the show I guess others could take a gamble on it.

Nothing in this film gave me the sense of a virus so threatening that it could wipe out humanity. Real life documentaries about viruses was way more compelling than this show.

Tower Heist
Tower Heist(2011)

A not so funny comedy and clearly Murphy was the saving grace for this film.

The Fourth Kind

Let me start off stating that this show is so fake that to accept the things in it for truth is laughable. It had an interesting angle going for it in regards to the psychologist/patient dialogues but the show then quickly falls into the typical alien cliches which should be the first sign that this movie is nothing more than a hoax.

The Iron Lady

Excellent performance from Meryl Streep as always but there really is nothing more to say about the show than that. I am sure reading about Margaret Thatcher life would be far more interesting and engaging than watching this film.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

A solid suspense drama, dark and mysterious but it suffers from an overly long running time and its pretty hard to follow at times. A great portion of the movie was investigative analysis which was particularly boring and hard to follow unless of course you too are a journalist or private investigator.

It does a good job with the limited budget and the acting was good, but the movie offered nothing new or original. The show also had a lot of unnecessary shenanigans which wasted precious time that could of been used to expand the story and make it more memorable.

The Kids Are All Right

A refreshing family drama that you don't see everyday.

Beautiful Thing

Truly a beautiful movie, and a very earnest one too.

Final Destination 5

The latest installment offers a little one or two new things that manages to keep the movie above watchable. Although I must point out that the Final Destination franchise has cheated death 5 times now, and they deserve credit for that. But as the movie points out time and time again- "death always wins in the end."

O Fantasma
O Fantasma(2001)

Boring and just plain bad.....

Micheal Fassbender certainly brought his A game to this film and he alone carried the show.

Barely watchable, and I know for some not watchable at all.

Barely watchable, the only thing that kept me going is to see how much trouble this little white rat was going to cause.

Happy Feet Two

The first movie was definitely more enjoyable and the story was better too, but this one is still watchable.

The Rebound
The Rebound(2009)

May not be anything we never saw before but that didn't make the show any less enjoyable.

Conan the Barbarian

To put it simply, I didn't think I would enjoy this show one bit but I did, it offers nothing new or original but it still was a more than watchable action adventure film.

A Warrior's Heart

Not bad but not particularly good either.........

Puss in Boots

Certainly not as funny as Shrek but still enjoyable from beginning to end.

Fun and exciting, and it feels more authentic than half of those other dance flicks out there.....definitely more than watchable.

A brilliant show with strong performances, and emotion. The chemistry between Lukas and Fabio was very authentic, Lukas story was well told but there was room for some improvement, Fabio on the other hand needed to be developed more. All in all the show was really good, very alluring due to the acting and chemistry of the main leads, it just needed a bit more depth to push it to exceptional status.

Another show that had potential but didn't utilize it. The stupidity in this show really did some damage.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

The only movie that gets a perfect rating from me. I normally say nothing is perfect but I couldn't find any fault with this movie. I mean the countless awards it won supports my rating.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Not bad for a Disney flick, I give the show props for the variety of cool magic displayed, far more and better than that of some of the Harry Potter films.

Easy A
Easy A(2010)

A smart and funny teen comedy, quite refreshing I must say.

Friends With Benefits

Nothing special but not a bad film.

The Proposal
The Proposal(2009)

A nice light romantic comedy

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Underwhelming, boring, and Jaden Smith played a part in making this show bad, he was so damn annoying.......

The Ring
The Ring(2002)

Overrated if you ask me.......

Silent Hill
Silent Hill(2006)

Thrilling and full of suspense with some pretty creepy shit too.

Case 39
Case 39(2010)

Horrible, this show was really a special case yes.

Not a bad show at all, could of been better if the parents put some more life in their acting and if they were smarter too.

Clash of the Titans

It hurts me when I see potential in a movie and it is just wasted. I so wanted to see this movie but when I finally saw it, I was quite underwhelmed by everything in the show. Lackluster acting, no over the top action sequences and don't even get me started on the Kraken, it graced us with its presence for about three sad.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Not bad considering Disney limited its true potential by making it for all ages.

Angelina delivers once again, this show was incredible, certainly one of the best spy films for me.

Johnny English Reborn

I found the movie to be quite enjoyable just like the first movie and it takes you away from all the typical comedy cliches.

I found this show to be quite enjoyable, of course it isn't without all the typical cliches shared with many other survival films, but luckily that wasn't enough to ruin the show.

The Descent 2

Every bit as good as the first film and it brings closure to movie as well.

The Descent
The Descent(2006)

A bit slow at the start but from the time they enter the cave, the show is thrilling from beginning to end. The small enclosed places coupled with the gruesome creatures chasing after you makes the feeling of being trap so very real which only adds to the scare factor. This claustrophobic horror film is one that I will never forget.

Horrible Bosses

Pretty funny but not so much when you watch it a second time.

An excellent film that focuses heavily on the story and it certainly delivers, the action was also well done and mostly believable may I add.

Seconds Apart

Another good film from After Dark studios, the twins and their chemistry is what made this show enjoyable to watch, that and the fact that they were psychopathic and possessed psychic powers.

I enjoyed this film I must say, not the best DVD release but far from the worst too.

Beneath The Darkness

Just horrible, and beneath all the shit this show is still plain bad.

So funny and original......

How to Train Your Dragon

The best 3D movie I have ever seen, I felt so immersed in the rich world, and the story was well balanced with action, comedy, and drama. A very heart warming animated film that just makes you wish that you had a dragon called toothless.

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

It was an awesome film that took me around the world and kept me in awe.

Now this is scary but not unbelievably scary though. What I love about this show is the lack of cliche horror scares that so many films try (looking in the mirror and something evil must be looking back, boring).

Paranormal Activity

A low budget film and it clearly shows, I found nothing in this film to be scared about. It was practically 90 minutes of a door closing and opening, sometimes slamming, with a bit of shadows here and there. Certainly nothing to be scared about and that comment.

Real Steel
Real Steel(2011)

This show certainly didn't belong in cinema, it was an alright movie that you should definitely watch from the comfort of your home.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I had my reservations but the show turned out to be pretty decent. I am definitely looking forward to the next installment.

Kung Fu Panda 2

One of the best animated movies in the past decade, smart, funny, and surprisingly action packed.

Heart Warming and is certainly more than just watchable but I have seen better.

The Hangover Part II

So not funny, part one was more enjoyable to me.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Even better than excellent this time around, part 3 is perfection.

A classic just like the original, 3D won't change the rating- sorry.

One of the best super hero movies ever made.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The best part out of all eight films, oh yes you heard me correctly.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

My favorite Star Wars movie out of all them.

War of the Worlds

A pretty good alien movie and there aren't many out there.

White Chicks
White Chicks(2004)

One of the best comedies I have seen and I have seen a lot. But as I love to say, "comedy is subjective."

Finding Nemo
Finding Nemo(2003)

Loved it, a heart warming tale.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Enjoyable with a good balance between comedy and action.

Mean Girls
Mean Girls(2004)

One of Lohan's better films.

Bruce Almighty

Jim Carrey need I say more.

Sin City
Sin City(2005)

Hated it so much, I can't even give it a full star, but that is just me.

The Incredibles

One of Disney's better animated movies.

Hated it almost as much as I hate Sin City.

Taken was quite thrilling I must say, definitely worth watching.

Slumdog Millionaire

Excellent movie, a must watch.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

This was certainly a different experience for me, but the experience was awesome.

Black Swan
Black Swan(2010)

Natalie Portman deserves a round of applause, her acting was superb and the show was too.

There is potential but it was fully unlocked; perhaps part 2 will meet my standards.

Just Go with It

Loved it and was definitely one of the best romantic comedies of the year. It was heavier on the comedy which is why I loved it so much.

Limitless was quite limited if you ask me.

Fast Five
Fast Five(2011)

Definitely enjoyable but I found myself rolling my eyes plenty times during this show, especially in the ending which was just ridiculous.

Oh boy another vampire show that tried something different but ultimately failed.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Easily the best part in the series, with part two rivaling it.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I am sorry to say but over the top action is not a substitute for a bad plot. Another thing this show could of been better had it been shorter, and way less close up metal rolling all around, I found myself at times not understanding what the hell was going on during these over the top fights between autobots and decepticons.

Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Average and not that funny either, but then again comedy is subjective.

X-Men: First Class

I am a huge fan of the X men comics and cartoon, and this show certainly doesn't do the franchise justice. The only two interesting characters in the show were Magneto and Xavier, perhaps it was everyone else in the movie that ultimately made this film a failure to me.

It took me two watches to fully understand the film. Very original and unique but I found for a show based on dreams, the dream world was quite limited, dreams are where the impossible is possible, where reality rarely makes sense. But I understood why they made the dreamworld so realistic, the show could of easily been a hot mess if it they went all fantasy. Still the show was enjoyable with remarkable acting from the entire cast. the show was also a visual masterpiece. I just hope if they are to make a second part, that the dream world is expanded on more as well as the things one can do within it.

It borders between crap and watchable.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Horrible and no where near the level of the other Fast & Furious films.

Let Me In
Let Me In(2010)

The show tries but ultimately fails in my opinion. Perhaps if I watch the original I may have a change of heart about this, or my rating could be even lower.

Green Lantern

Horrible, it is in my top 5 most hated super hero movies of the last decade.

Lakeview Terrace

I barely remember this show, which tells you the tale of this movie.

The Crazies
The Crazies(2010)

I must say I enjoyed this, but the film certainly didn't offer anything that I haven't seen before, very average but still good.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

There was potential in this show but clearly the director was lazy in the managing of this film.

Star Trek
Star Trek(2009)

I am a huge fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation. This revamp of the original Star Trek was well done. I look forward to the second installment with hope of it being even better than its predecessor.

Certainly not your typical comedy, but nonetheless refreshing.

The Adjustment Bureau

This movie tried to be something unique but in the end it was just average.
