Sin City (2005) is a Mixture of Pulp neo-noir stories , Violence , Sex and Tarantino style action . Based on Frank Millder`s comic books , this is an intelligent adaptation .
The Story focuses on a city that looks more guilty than It`s people . the people who do crimes to prove themselves . there are 3 episodes based on 3 books - The Hard Goodbye : about a man named Marv (with a fine performance from Mickey Rourke) who embarks on a brutal rampage in search of his one-time sweetheart's killer , The Big Fat Kill, which focuses on a street war between a group of prostitutes and a group of mercenaries and their leaders , Dwight (Clive Owen) and Gail (Rosario Dawson) and That Yellow Bastard, which follows an aging police officer (Bruce Willis) who protects a young Striper (Jessica Alba) from a grotesquely disfigured serial killer . all these stories and troubles approach to Roark Family , the most powerful people and head of criminals in Sin City .
There are many reasons that why Sin City is a great movie . Masterful Dialogues , cool characters and great making . This is an outstanding movie experience for movie goers , but what is the problem ?
One of the best parts (or maybe the best part) in Quentin tarantino`s masterpiece , Pulp Fiction , is the ending : Jules , the cold blood dangerous killer`s redemption . finding a powerful humanely at the end of Pulp Fiction , makes that great movie even better . in Sin City we have a depressing situation of danger , trust and people but believe me , a good-filling part could make it better . However " That Yellow Bastard " story has some more emotional parts ( In fact That`s the best episode ) but still not enough for a movie that we want to put it as Tarantino`s best work.
+ Verdict : a smart entertainment among modern noirs . a talent firework with great performances and well-done making , Sin City is a great action pick , that is far from a masterpice .
