To get the full impact of the comedy in this movie, you must be familiar with atleast a few of the movies it is referring to and poking fun at. I laughed more in this movie than I have in all of the other movies in the comedy genre combined. My stomach was tightening up. If you didn't laugh your bottoms off, you were clearly lacking familiarity with something.
If you have ever seen "Alien", you would have noticed many plot holes in its prequel. You would have noticed quite a few plot holes in the movie regardless. Not to mention I had some giggles. I doubt it was meant to have any comedy whatsoever. However, with its awesome special effects, impressive acting and some cool fights between humans and their makers, I found this movie to be un-splattable.
I can say I had a good time watching "The Descent 2". I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the original. No surprise there. A typical sequel doesn't have the same impact as the original. Knowing what is coming just isn't as entertaining. A fun movie nonetheless.
If you are craving a juicy horror film, The Descent would really hit the spot. The Descent takes its scares downtown into dark caverns where bloody hell breaks loose upon 6 very unlucky ladies. What they were planning to be a memorable bonding experience turned out to be a complete disaster!
I will start by saying that this movie is underrated. This comic book brought to life, among many others, is very fun to watch. Alot of work was put into the making of this movie. The action is awesome. Explosives galore! I even got a few chuckles. I can't say I would want to watch it again, but it is certainly not a movie worth splatting.
Hilarious! Talk about a fantastic movie. This should have made it to theaters. I never imagined that I would enjoy a movie about two rednecks fighting evil. Man was I wrong. If you love funny and gory ridiculousness, Tucker & Dale Vs Evil is the movie for you!
Foreign films have a knack for being very exquisite entertainment. Quarentine really pushed creepy buttons, but [REC] impressed me even more than its American replica. Gory, frightening, great acting and flat out wild! I love this type of movie with a bloody passion.
Spoiler alert. The Last Exorcism could disturb any religous person. To see such a big croud of people performing a devil ritual on a young girl is very intense for anyone who is religous. I understand that Exorcisms are all a tease in the mind, but involving a 16 year old girl in a devil ritual is alittle much. I believe in God and his son. Not so much in the Devil. Yet the idea of pushing it to that crazy level is somewhat disrespectful, and would seem alot more real to anyone who has ever believed that they were under the influence of a demon. The movie is certainly intense. I enjoyed it, up until the last five minutes. Thats when, as creepy as it was, they jumped the boundaries of my acceptability.
The plot was very similar to 127 Hours. Only this time he was stuck in a box. Personally, I would call 127 Hours somewhat of a ripoff, as far as the severity of his actions and attempts to escape go anyways. The acting was well done. No tear-jerker, but it still promotes a somewhat...sad feeling. I would say one thing that makes me recommend Buried over 127 Hours is the fact that the final 3 minutes were less predictable. Very enjoyable movie. You can only expect so much if the entire movie is stuck in a coffin. Before you say, "127 Hours was a true story though", just remember that nobody knows exactly what really went on out there, accept for the victim himself.
Kill Bill Vol. 1 is one hell of a ballistic flick. It kicks ass from the start. I mean seriously kicks ass. Everything about it is brilliant. The action is a real thrill, the colors are awesome, the background music is fly and the actors did a swell job. I even got a few laughs in the midst of all the bloody rain. Unforgettable. This is undoubtedly the best book I have ever watched!
I had loads of fun watching this ludacris sci-fi comedy. From the ferocious tomatoes to the creative writing, Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes is a job well done. If rediculousness was the plan, I must say, they really hit the spot with flying colors. Tomatoes will forever be consumed by comedy.
Dreamworks has alot of admirable movies. There are loads of wonderful things about this one. 1. The script. There were times when I smiled. Times when I laughed. Hell, some parts even brought a tear to my eye. 2. Visuals. The visuals are rich with stunning colors. And last but never the least, 3. Great actors. Sure, the characters are cg, but people do the talking. I consider that acting in a cg movie. Well how bout that. Antz has it all! An entertaining movie for people of all ages.
